Imac i7, Vista bootcamp - Audio not working?

Hi peeps -
Vista installed fine on my Imac i7 bought fall of 2010, but there is no audio.
In Device Manager, the default installation was "High Definition Audio Device" - then after messing with the drivers it listed "HDMI audio Device" - and regardless of what it lists, it maintains that it is working properly. I can see the little green bar go up and down when i hit test, but no audio - neither the front speakers nor the headphone jack.
I've tried deleting the drives, and re-installing from the iMac system disk, but there are two folders: One for Realtek, and one for Cirrus - not sure which to use... also it seems to be moot, cuz it hasn't worked....
Anyone have any input? Same problem? Driving me nuts!

According to:

you can update from iMovie versions 7, 8 and 9, but iMovie HD is iMovie 6.
Maybe you can update in two steps, first from iMovie 6 to iMovie 7, 8 or 9 then to iMovie 10.

Basics from the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW. Unless you've tried ALL of these, you're not done troubleshooting.

While the 828 is disconnected perform the factory
reset
again.
Disconnect the firewire cable from the 828mkII
-Press the Setup knob
-Turn the Setup knob all the way to the right
-Press the Select knob
-Press the Value knob
-Power off the interface and plug the firewire cable
back
in
-Power the interface back on
i have the original 828 not mark 2, so no reset i know of, just power on off.
After the Mac updates... reboot and plugin the 828,
see if that doesn't get you going.

My iMac mouse right click does not work now

Hi all,
My iMac mouse right click does not work now. It was fine a couple of days ago.
Right click is definitely enabled, I have checked it several times.
A Google search revealed that in Firefox it could be that I'm not using the latest version of Firebug. I have auto updates on and Firebug is the latest version 1.11.3
I use right click for correcting spell checked words, instead of a suggested correct spelling I get the 'open in a new tab' menu.
In Firefox when I right click to open in a new tab I get the menu but it does nothing.
It is driving me mad
Any help will be greatly appreciated,

P.S. thought it was suddenly working when I did the spell check in this post but it was the left click doign it....

I don't use Firefox so I can't test it, but it might be something to do with a preference setting. Have a look at this link (ignore all the instructions), just look at the image of the preferences, there appears to be a setting in Javascript preferences relating to contextual menus. Check to see what your settings are:

Laptop left Speaker audio not working

I have dv-5 1102 tu model laptop, in that left speaker audio not working. But, in headphones & Speakers have no problem in both left & right audio.

Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand your left speaker is not working on your dv5 notebook.
If the headphones are working it would tell us the sound card is fine. The same properties are applied to the speakers and the headphones in your audio control settings.
You could try a system restore to before the issue started to make sure it's not something in the operating system. To perform a system restore see the following guide: Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8) or Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7).

Without knowing all of the specifics in your situation, you may want to try these options:
- If you have a DTA, and your remote control has a LANG button on it, press it.
- If you have an HD or SD full cable box:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

MBP with Vista - AUDIO NOT WORKING

I installed Windows Vista Beta 2 via Bootcamp but the audio is not working. Is anyone else having this problem? Anyone know of a fix? I'd be much abliged for any help.

why would apple look into 'working the kinks out in its system'?? boot camp is completely unsupported by apple.. and probably never will be supported cause apple isn't going to support microsoft products just like ms won't support mac products.... more than likely the reason the op has probs with audio in vista is because vista is beta and doesn't have properly supported audio drivers.... and isn't vista supposed to be 64bit?? i'm sick of both apple and ms avoiding the solid 64bit os issue... i have 64bit linux running great.... it's time for the rest of the world to catch up...

T60 Vista Audio not working

I have a T60 type 1951 and Vista is installed. My audio is not working. According to the computer, the Digital Output Device is working properly, but I get no sound. I installed the latest audio driver and the latest BIOS. Still no sound. Any help and suggested are greatly appreciated.

Under speakers it says they are not plugged in. I've not changed anything. How did they get unplugged? I tried headphones in the jack and still no sound with those. thanks.

Audio not working in XP

Hello,
I recently recieved a new alumi 20" Intel iMac and after installing Leopard, decided to install Windows under Boot Camp. Everything installed smoothly except the audio does not work.
Going into the sound preferences, it says there is no audio device and looking in the device profile I see a PCI device with a yellow dot.
Wondering if there is another device driver that I need to install? Seems the RealTek driver from the leopard bootcamp dvd installed fine but doesn't exactly do anything.
Any help would be appreciated.

I reinstalled bootcamp (from the DVD) when in XP, and all the drivers installed fine.
I did have a slight problem, in that my mouse and keyboard are wireless. When bootcamp reinstalled, it also reset the bluetooth settings, which meant that the keyboard and mouse were no longer recognised. I used an old wired mouse to go into (control panel - bluetooth devices), and sorted this out by making my machine discoverable and then searching for and installing the mouse and keyboard. A pain, but that's windows for you!
Everything is now working fine.
I only did this so I can play Half Life 2, and I feel like I've really achieved something!

I think this helps explain how to fix this HDMI Audio issue running Windows via Bootcamp. (I'm running Win 8)
1. Go to Programs on the Control Panel
2. Uninstall Intel HD Graphics Driver
3. Restart computer
4. Go to Intel's Driver Support website and download the driver.http://downloadcenter.intel.com/
(I'd reccomend just selecting the auto scan and it will show you what drivers you can install)
5. Install the Intel HD Graphics Driver
6. Restart computer
7. Go to Hardware and Sound on the Control Panel
8. Click on Sound and the Intel Display Audio should display now and set it as default
Hope this helps with anyone experiencing this same issue.
