Audio/video chat works but audio only doesn't

Audio-video chats (both 2-way and one-way) work, but audio ONLY chats don't work (connection error). One machine is running 10.4.2 and the other 10.3.9. Doesn't seem like this would be a firewall or bandwidth issue if AV chats are working fine. Why would this happen?

I have the same issue, as well as the other iChat issues on other posts. When our offices (SF area & LA area, CA, US) were on 10.3.9, no problems with audio or video chats (we all have AIM screen names). Then the boss upgraded to 10.4.1. He could a/v chat with anyone inside our network and could video (with sound) with the other office, but not audio only. When he is at home he could a/v with anyone. We upgraded one more computer in our office to 10.4.1 and it was able to audio chat to other Tiger machines outside the office, but not Panther machines (can chat with anyone inside too). Now the boss and I have upgraded these same machines to 10.4.2 and the audio chat doesn't work outside the office anymore and we still can't chat with Panther machines outside the office.
Our office has Netopia Cayman 3546-002 ADSL Broadband Gateway on SBC Yahoo DSL at 4936 kbps down/493 kbps up. I called Netopia and had them help me open up the ports (I had them look at the apple tech document so they could help me get it right). It has NAT enabled and all the computers on this LAN have static addresses. Most of the computers access the LAN through the airport express (which just bounces the signal from the wired side). I think we have port forwarding or mapping set up for our two servers...the router looks at the address from the WAN side and routes it to the address on the LAN side. Firmware is up to date on the router.
I did not originally set up this network and have spent much time reading the user manual for the modem/router (it's a combo device) and trying suggestions here and from Level 2 at Apple. They say it is our network, but I don't know how to fix it.
I don't think this router has any UPnP capability, that I could find in the manual. Also what is SIP? I need a description of it or at least what that acronym stands for. Also, I've seen stuff about using the Terminal to change the telenet port. This routers telenet is set to 23, that should be fine for iChat, right? No conflict?

WHY ISN'T GARAGE BAND WORKING?!?!

I click on the Garage Band icon in the dock. The icon bounces as usual. Then the bouncing stops. It doesn't open. No black arrow under the icon to indicate the program is running. Everything else works fine. I've tried hitting AppleOptionEsc, but Garage Band is not running, so I can't force quit. I've also tried closing everything else down, restarting, shutting down for awhile, unhooking everything from the wall, removing the battery for a few minutes, and nothing works. Still the same thing. It's been doing this for two days now.

By recording interface you mean a digital audio interface that does A/D D/A conversion then yes the Mac will work with just about every usb/firewire interface made.

Garage Band installed but also available in Mac App Store

I have Garage Band installed on my Mac, however it is also availabe to purchase and download on the Mac App Store.

I've imported a Garage Band project but the instruments seem to be in a different key to the vocal. Any ideas why?

I did a project in Garage Band but want to finish and mix it in Logic Pro. The vocals are in the right key but the instruments (guitars and bass) are in another key. I did the project originally in C, then changed it to D in Garage Band and recorded the vocal track after that. Any ideas why the instruments seem to stil be in the original key and how to fix this?

Check/use the transpose section of the track/region inspector..... or Global transpostion... to set to correct/update the transposition value you want.

CoordinateMapper is not working properly when converting Depth into Camera then into Color Space

I am trying to map depth point to color space in the defined portion of the depth frame data in my Kinect v2. I am using CoordinateMapper for conversion between various spaces.

However, when I tried to converting the depth directly to color space, it works well. But since I am doing processing over CameraSpacePoint, I need to make above working.

I apologize for this confusion. I am trying to process only a defined portion in the depth frame, which resides between MinReliableDistance and MaxReliableDistance. For the testing purpose, I kept my Kinect v2 in the table facing towards the floor at the
height of 1 meter from the floor. Some objects are kept in the floor. Based on the depth information, I just want to mark their top face.
I tried following two methods-
Method1: First compare the depth and ignore the undesired depth points. Then find out CameraSpacePoint of this depth point. Do the processing, whatever is needed. Now convert this CameraSpacePoint into ColorSpacePoint and draw a mark on this point in the
color image. Below is the code snippet-

The above code doesn't work. It is unable to find out the objects standing in the floor. Please see attached image and notice the yellow marks are not in correct locations.
Method 2: Just to check the setup, I tried this method but I can't go with this method further (Since I need the points in CameraSpace. In this method, I first check for valid depth point. Then corresponding color pixel is picked up from the ColorFramePixels

Please see the attached output image. You can notice the internal pixels are picked from color fame and outside pixels are black as expected.

Add the song to iTunes on your PC and sync it to your iPhone. It will appear in the Music.app. And you can access it in GarageBand from the Loop Browser and add it to a track as a loop.

I imported from an SD card onto my iPad air 2, how do I get them into LR? LR mobile does not see them, only sees camera roll not the rest of my photos. HELP!

Im trying to create a ringtone for my iphone but im not working out how to actually cut the song.

What happened was somehow i heard of a pat metheny (i forget how to spell his name) the jazz guitarist's seminar about how he loves making music on his mac w/ garageband so i signed up to read & watch that seminar. So after a few months i was alerted to a whole host of vid's, (seminars ) many topics from apple by email. When i signed up the final step was a sign in page , is that what your getting , man i thought everyone was getting a chance to see it . There are 3 video's you can watch one is 33 minutes long , another 22 minutes & a 16 minute. What if you try going to apple .com /seminars , i 'm going to investigate, maybe it's taking you to my sign in page, have you tried signing in on the generic sign in page

IMac 400 VGA Out to LCD Monitor works but CRT Display is Black

Hello.
Our church has an iMac 400 with the VGA out port in the back. We connect the iMac an LCD projector to display PowerPoint presentations.
Intermittently, the iMac's CRT display works, then the next time it may not work. Some Sunday mornings it won't work at all, though the desktop can be seen on the screen overhead because the Mac is sending the signals to the LCD projector, which worksf ine. If I disconnect the VGA cable and boot the iMac, then the display works perfectly. Everytime.
I've changed the VGA cable twice, thinking it was bad, but there is no consistent rhyme or reason why this occurs. Some Sundays, both the CRT and the LCD projector work as they should. Other times, only the projector works.
The VGA port always works because the LCD projector always displays the desktop. But the screen on the iMac itself is used as a viewing monitor of sorts for the speaker, and we need it to work properly (the speaker faces the iMac, while the screen for the LCD projector is over his head and behind him).
Any input would be appreciated.

It sounds like you may already have the answer in your post... Dual Link versus "not compatible"
The only other thing I can suggest is to connect them up, then go to System Prefs --> Displays --> Detect Displays
That works for me when it doesn't connect immediately - but then again most of the time my display notices the input immediately

Emails sent from Thunderbird go into the "Sent" folder. Emails from Android phone go into the "Sent Items" folder. MS Outlook sees both, but TB only sees "Sent"

My university runs MS Exchange server.
I use MS Outlook on my Univ computer, Thunderbird on my laptop, and exchange email client on my HTC One smartphone running Android.
Thunderbird saves email in "Sent" folder on the server. Android phone saves it on the "Sent items" folder. MS Outlook can see both the folders, but Thunderbird only sees the "Sent" folder.
How can I make Thunderbird see the "Sent items" folder?

assuming you use an IMAP mail account:
Tools > Account Settings > Copies & Folders for the mail account
If you want emails saved in 'Sent Items'
select:' Place a copy in'
select: 'Other'
choose 'Sent Items' on account name'
click on OK
To see the 'Sent Items folder you would need to subscribe to see it.
If you have a Pop mail account, it cannot see any folders on the server.
It can only download emails from server Inbox to Thunderbird mail account Inbox.
