"........iMac is not supported on the iPhone
I have an older iphone - 2 I think. When I try to connect the bluetooth I receive a message on the iphone, ".........iMac is not supported on the iPhone" Does anyone have a solution. Both the iphone and imac can find each other, the iphone just will not accept the imac. Is there a download to upgrade the iphone to accept my new imac. Thank you.
iPhone's have never been able to sync via Bluetooth.
In the last year Apple added WiFi sync to iTunes, so you can sync an iPhone or iPad via WiFi with iTunes.
You can also sync wirelessly over the internet using iCloud for contacts, calendars, bookmarks etc - again over WiFi.
But you cannot, and never have been able to, sync an iOS device with a Mac over Bluetooth.

After using iTunes Match, 5 songs have a "was not copied because the audio format is not supported by the iPhone".
I have deleted these songs and downloaded them from iTunes Match (they were "matched" and not "uploaded" files). However, it still does not work.I have the same issue with 8 songs in my library. All are "Matched" and I've tried deleting them and redownloading them from iTunes Match, but they won't play in iTunes or transfer to any of my iDevices.

The calendar on the imac is not syncing with the iphone?
The calendar on my macpro, operating system OS X 10.6.8, does not sync with the iphone? When I look up on the info tab in itunes, the calendar is checked to sync
Completely by serendipity I just fixed this!
I was perplexed as to why all my events showed in iCal on my computer, but only some events would show in iCal on my iphone.
All day events were not showing, appointments weren't showing and neither was work, but social events were, no matter how many times i tried to sync my iphone with my MacBook Pro. Hmmm strange.
So I only just figured it out accidentally when on iCal on my iphone that if i click the 'calendars' tab in the top left hand corner, it takes me to a list of all my created calendars (and their colours) that I have in iCal.
If you tap on a certain calendar it will display only those events. Eg. I tapped on my calendar 'appointments >', and iCal only displayed all of my appointment times on my iphone and not the other events.
If I tap on 'work >', it displays all work events. Etc.
Is this making sense??
NOW:
If you go back to the 'calendars' tab on iCal on the iphone and tap on 'All >'...
then
Hooray!!! All your events will be displayed.
Hopefully! :P

I updated my ipad 2 and my iphones to ios7...now when I plug the adapted in to download my images from the iphone to the ipad..I get a message saying that the connected device is not supported...It worked before ios 7 what do I do?
Same problem here. I am trying to load photos from my iPhone 5 to my iPad 3. The iPad asks me to trust the iPhone, and the iPhone says "iPad: device not supported". I am using the camera connection kit w/ USB connector and my iPhone lightning adaptor. This worked before iOS 7.

I cannot seem to get my iPhone 5S to make a bluetooth connection with my iMac (OSX 10.9.1). Phone claims that the iMac is not supported. Any suggestions?
The only connection supported to your iMac is Personal Hotspot to use the iPhone's cell connection to connect your iMac to the Internet. If that's what you're trying to do, see:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2756
Otherwise, as Raymond said, connecting your Mac and iPhone via Bluetooth is not supported.
Regards. -
I'm having trouble connecting my iPhone to my iMac via bluetooth. Both devices discover each other and add to each others list but when I go to connect my iPhone tells me that the iMac is 'not supported' and to 'forget device' deleting it from my device list.
Any help would be greatly appriciated!

How to unlock your iPhone for use with another carrier - Apple Support -

I need help, I use my phone for everything enclusive to work. I appreciate if you can help. I'm from Brazil. My name and giullia.Did you purchase this device from Apple or an authorized reseller? It sounds as if you had a device that was jailbroken/hacked to operate on your carrier. Upon updating the iOS, it is now locked back to the original carrier the device was locked to.
Only the carrier the device is locked to can authorize an unlock. You will need to make contact with that carrier and see if they provide unlocking services, and if they do, if you qualify for an unlock. Otherwise, you are out of luck. One that carrier can take care of the unlocking. -
i Traded my friend my galaxy for her iPhone and checked the compatibility for Net10 online. It said my phone would work and I even got it activated with net10 but when I put the SIM card in and reboot my phone it tells me the SIM card I have installed is from a carrier not supported by the activation policy....how is this happenning when the website told me my phone was compatible and no the phone was not jail broken
Verizon does not unlock the iPhone 4S for use on U.S. GSM carriers, only for foreign roaming.

I recently had to purchase a new iPhone 4S. I backed up my old 4s to my iMac and when I went to restore, I got this message "iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored". I just purchased the iPhone 4S today so I know it's not the phone. How can I get my information back?
If it's corrupt, generally it would be lost.
However, there is third-party software out there that can retrieve some of the data, those of which however I could not recommend as I have never done so myself.
Also, if the old 4S was running a more recent software version than the current 4S, that may cause the issue however usually iTunes tells you exactly that.
Good luck in retrieving that information. -
my iMac will not get past the start screen, after i restarted it after it not being able to upload my photos from my iPhone 4S to iPhoto app on my iMac bc a visa vas about 3:15 min. What should I do to get my imac past this?
According to your posted Profile here you are running a PPC based iMac. This Forum is only for "Intel iMac's", and so to get the expert and correct help you need you should repost your question in the "PPC iMac Forum".

The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.
The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.Or if you've recently got the phone unlocked then you'll need to connect it to itunes and then do a fresh restore to unlock it ,although for most users simply connecting to itunes for few seconds did the trick.

what can in do?Well unfortunatly that advice does not always work. I bought a unlocked iphone4 from apple several years ago and went to att on a no contract basis. Six months later the phone crashed while updating the operating system. Apple replaced the phone with a new one. All is fine till I got a iphone5 and gave te phone to my cousin. The phone is now locked to att but att says the IMEI number is not a valid ATT IMEI and therfore cant unlock it. Apple says there is nothing They can or are willing to do so now I am stuck for a 600.00 phone that can't be used.
If anyoun knows a way naround this situation mI would appreciate a heads up. -
sir have this error so what can i do The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. It looks like the iPhone is locked to a carrier that is not the one you are trying to use.
You need to determine which carrier it is locked to and then contact them to see if they are willing to authorise the unlocking of your iPhone. As ManSinha mentioned, many carriers will only authorised the unlock if requested by the customer who had the contract with them for this iPhone.
Remember that only the carrier who owns the lock on your Iphone can authorise Apple to unlock the iPhone in their servers. You need to contact the carrier or have the previous owner of the iPhone request the unlocking. -
