IMAC lenta

Buenas
Les cuento que tengo mi imac con el sistema OS X Mountain Lion, Version 10.8.3 (osea esta actualizada) pero cuando quiero abrir algun programa, especialmente el Itunes, se tilda apareciendo el circulo de colores.
Ultimamente estoy sufriendo de baja tension en la energia electrica, lo cual me llevo a comprar un estabilizador... puede ser esa la causa?...que no le este llegando suficiente energia a la Imac?..

I used Google Translate on your problem and it sounds like you are getting the rainbow cursor or SBOD on your iMac. I would not expect this to be caused by low voltage, but there are lots of reasons why it could be happening. Have you rebooted your mac recently? Even that might help. Perhaps you are low on RAM?
Here's hoping a native Spanish speaker can help you out - thought I'd just give it a go in the meantime.

Je possède un Imac (21.5 pouces de 2011) processeur 2.7 GHz-Intel Core i5 4go 1333 MHz DDR3 - avec le système OS X Yosemite.
Depuis 2-3 mois, il est TRES LENT et fais beaucoup de bruit durant la veille et l'utilisation.
Voici mes 4 questions :
1) comment faire pour que mon Imac détecte mon disque dur et apparaisse sur le bureau
2) comment faire pour que mon Imac accepte d'ajouter sur le disque dur les fichiers ? Actuellement cela m'indique en lecture seulement.
3) après avoir sauvegardé toutes mes données, comment le remettre à zéro complètement?
4) Est-ce que cela va résoudre mon problème de ralentissement et de bruit, ou avez-vous une meilleure solution?

Imac lent à la connexion

Bonjour, depuis deux ou trois jours notre imac est très lent à la connection 1minute avant d'avoir la pomme puis 2 à3 minutes pour voir le bureau puis encore attendre avant de pouvoir commencer à travailler. J'ai nettoyé avec Ccleaner, et PUIS application propre, mon disque dur N'Est même pas à moitié rempli. Je ne sais plus quoi faire , faut il le formater ? Qui peut m' aider. Merci d'avance.

IMac de plus en plus lent - Le disque dur gratte comme un fou.

Bonjour. J'ai beau cherché je ne trouve point de solutions.
Régulièrement mon disque dur s'emballe et se met à gratter comme un fou. Pour rien, dois je préciser, juste mail et safari de lancé après un reboot. Le système ralentit fortement lors de ces accès disque.
Je suis sous Lion
Alors smart ok
50% de libre sur le disque dur
réparation des permissions faites.
passage sous Onyx aussi.
TimeMachine désactivé, j'ai aussi désactivé tous les services icloud.
Désactivé Dropbox/Chronosync et Tiny firewall (pas d'antivirus d'installé).
Ram ok et utilisée à 50%
pas d'applications/processus gourmand décelés dans le moniteur d'activité
La ré-indexation complète par spotlight a été faite.
Quelqu'un sait il comment identifier le processus qui fait gratter mon disque dur comme un dingue ? Ou bien a une idée pertinente ?
Je suis certain qu'en ré-installant tout, le problème sera réglé. Du moins pendant un certain temps (c'est du vécu). Mais là c'est de pire en pire, il me faut donc identifier le problème.

Après reformage, et avant de tout re-installer, il me semble que mon disque dur rame déjà :eek:
J'ai installé Disk Speed Test (gratuit sur appstore) afin de tester les débits de mon disque dur :
Write : 77MB/s et READ : 93 MB/s est ce bon ?

Problems with rebooting my imac

Ok heres the problem.....My 2007 imac has always worked fine untill a couple of months ago. Basically it had become so clogged up over the years that I had to erase the hard drive and start over. I have stupidly lost my install disks (apart from disk one of osx 10.4.1..Tiger I think) When I originally set it up from new, i dont recall using these disks..I think i installed leopard that came bundled with it (which i have also stupidly lost).
My bro lent me his copy of snow leopard which installed perfectly and for a while, it worked fine. It then started to become sluggish again so I rebooted a couple more times.
About 2 weeks ago I came home to find it stuck on the dreaded grey screen with the ? icon showing. I borrowed the snow leopard again and rebooted as before. Anyway this has continued over the last few weeks with me having to reboot. The other day however I tried to do it again and the imac would not acept the diskk and kept ejecting it during restart whilst holding down the c key, and the same happened when i tried holding down the alt key.
In my desperation to get it back on track, i restarted and loaded up disk one, mentioned above, in the hope that it would allow me to erase my hard drive again. To cut a long story short, i ended up erasing the hard drive and began installing from this disk. It then asked me to insert disk two to complete the set up (which i dont have) and unsuprisingly, it is now stuck...asking me for disk two.
When i insert this disk again to try and reboot again in order to erase the hard drive and then some how eject the disk, i just get a white screen with the turning wheel symbol...
Im at my wits end and feel sure that ive wrecked it!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated...im thinking that maybe i need to try and get hold of a complete set of osx 10.4.1 discs???

It's likely that the hard drive was becoming unreliable after years of use. That's probably the reason for the "sluggishness," and why you had to do all the re-installs. I have a "Late 2006" iMac (the last iMac model with a white non-metallic case), and the only thing that has ever gone wrong on it is the hard drive becoming unreliable. So I replaced it (a few years ago), and it's still going strong.
However, you should be able to boot from the optical drive, using that Snow Leopard disc. Try starting up with the Option key held down. This should give you the Startup Manager screen, where you can choose from available startup choices. Insert the Snow Leopard disc at this screen. If it becomes available as a choice, choose it and continue the startup.
At the first Installer screen, you can go up to the menu bar, and from the Utilities menu, select to run Disk Utility. Does your internal drive appear in the Disk Utility sidebar? From here, you can do things like erase the hard drive. If you select the DRIVE in the sidebar, there is a field along the bottom of the window called S.M.A.R.T. Status. That may provide some indication about health of the drive. You can also do a File -> Get Info on the drive, to see additional details about the drive.

Do NOT get a 10.4.1 disc. The Intel Macs were released during Mac OS X 10.4 run, but not until about 10.4.6 or so. That 10.4.1 disc is for older PowerPC Macs only. Actually, ALL retail Tiger (10.4.x) installation discs are only for PowerPC Macs. Instead, you should buy the Snow Leopard (10.6) disc from Apple, which they still sell from the online Apple Store for $20.

IMac early 2008 getting slow. EtreCheck summary in french

I have tgis problem with my iMac for a while (I guess since I switched to OS X 10.9).
Some applications are getting slow opening and closing (Mail, Calendar, AddressBook, iPhoto, ...)
For example, active windows of Mail won't close immediately when I click onto the red button. I need to do it many times, switch to another app and back to Mail, and then try again. It is an erratic process. And this happens with other apps.
Rather frustrating.

Il y a en particulier des applications qui demandent à ce que je clique plusieurs fois dessus pour les activer.

From comparaison with previous check, it appears i recovered Hard Drive memory: from 58.53 to 107.86 Go.
I don't see the Safari item anymore. Nor the Bit Torrent stuff.
Mail seems to be more efficient. But when OS X reinstalled, Mail opened at first with re-load of all mails; i saw 23 569 mails total reloaded from SENT, to DRAFT, RECEIVED, etc ... for the last 10 years. Some of the mails have files included. Could be the problem for Mail being so slow. Even now when I open Mail it takes time to order properly all emails by date (and this is only for the INBOX display)
I don't know for the RAM. Kind of expensive and the result might not be as expected.
I still can't take screenshot with the keyboard shortcuts... something went wrong i don't know what. If someone has a clue I could then send shots of some of my windows to make sure I have things right.

IMac Doesn't Detect Headphones

I have a ~year old 24" iMac (2.8 GHz Core 2 Duo) that I just suddenly started having a problem with. I use headphones pretty regularly and they are almost always plugged into the headphone jack. Recently, I lent my headphones to someone and, when I plugged them back in, the machine doesn't detect them. The audio works just fine coming out of the internal speakers, it's just that it always comes out of the internal speakers, no matter if the headphones are plugged in or not (the headphones also work fine when plugged in somewhere else). I took a look at the Sound Preferences panel and, sure enough, it doesn't detect the headphones as plugged in. Does anyone have any suggestions on troubleshooting?
I'm not sure it matters, but I did just recently upgraded to 10.5.6. The headphones worked after the upgrade, but it may be that this is the first time they were replugged in after the upgrade.

It sounds like the head phone jack has been damaged. If they were connected to a port they weren't meant for, that can happen. And that in turn, can damage your audio output port.
Try disconnecting everything but the keyboard and mouse and reboot the iMac. See if that makes a difference.
Resetting the SMC only provides this kind of support:
-Telling the computer when to turn on, turn off, sleep, wake, idle, and so forth.
-Handling system resets from various commands.
-Controlling the fans. so I doubt it can fix the audio issue.
Check the headphone port really close, make sure there isn't any dust or link or anything that might keep the jack from connecting properly.

Keyboard Arrow_Keys not working on Imac

My IMAC's keyboard ARROW KEYS FAIL TO WORK except for the "up" key.
This problem started as soon as I brought my IMAC home from an Apple Store which replaced the screen.
Please: How do I fix this?

i copied and pasted the letters from other sources
besides problem fixed, i went to an apple retailer, there getting me a replacement and in the mean time lent me an old keyboard

Copy iMovie Project from MBP to iMac via DropBox?

My AVCHD Camcorder records to SDHC card and has my latest holiday on it (1.6GB of it).
My iMac doesn't have an SD slot so I ordered a USB Multi-cardreader and had to wait for it to be delivered before I could import my project into iMovie '11.
Meanwhile, as it happened, my daughter went on holiday and lent me her MacBook Pro. It occured to me that I could use the MBP's built in SD reader and I successfully imported my holiday clips into iMovie'11 on her MacBook. I even got it to analyse for stablisation and persons.
This morning the anticipated USB SDHC (and other card) reader arrived. I tried to use it to import the clips into my own Desktop iMac. Unfortunately the device is rubbish. It has a small mini USB cable to power it. The cable fell out several times each time forcing the Mac to tell me off about not unmounting the device properly. When I eventually found a way to stop the power cable falling out, iMovie couldn't import the clips without errors. Using DIsk Utility to try and fix it failed because DU was unable to dismount the device for some reason.
Never mind, I thought, I will just copy the clips I imported yesterday to my daughters MacBook.
We both share a DropBox Folder and I think there is enough space on it to transfer 1.6GB. How do I do this? I mean, is it simply a case of copying a certain folder to DropBox then from DropBox to the relevant place on my iMac?
Also, I have a vague recollection of reading somewhere something about file sharing. I have an airport router, I wonder if it would be just as simple to transfer the appropriate folder this way instead?

If you copied the entire contents of the card with the file folders intact, you can try to import using iMovie. Best case scenario, iMovie will recognize the folder and import the AVCHD files. If not, you'll need a converter of some sort. There are many apps out there that will convert AVCHD but the reason I recommend ClipWrap is that the re-wrap simply changes the container of the movie so that the Mac can read it. The contents remain the same and you have no quality loss, whereas most other converters actually re-write the data.
Another user over at Vimeo has a free option that people say has worked for them. To quote:

IMac CRT slot loader doesn't get past apple symbol at startup

I've got an old iMac CRT, 600mhz slot loader that I want to give away to a friend.
I've lent it to a couple of people in it's life (I now have a different computer), and I can't find the system disks.
The computer had Panther installed on it (can't find those disks either - can't remember how I even got Panther on to it) and was working fine. I deleted all the old users off it to just have my friend's user ID. So technically, there was nothing personal on the computer, just a bunch of applications. However, out of the 40 gigs of HD space, it was telling me that there was only 9 available, which I found strange.
Anyway, while I was installing Adobe CS on it, just before it was finished I tried to find out where all the HD space was being used. So I opened the Applications folder and did Apple-I to get info. When the dialogue window opened, it said it was calculating folder size.
As this was happening while I was also installing CS, I didn't worry about it, just thought it would complete after installation was finished. However, this didn't happen, and I found that not only did the folder size not get calculated, the whole computer had frozen. Not even a force quit would do anything, it was like an old fashioned system 9 crash.
So I forced shut down and tried to start up again. So now it won't get past the OS X grey apple screen. Not even the spinning dial appears and you just see the apple icon for eternity. Have tried zapping PRAM, holding down option key, shift key. Nothing works.
So I'm wondering: what do I need to do to get it to work? Do I need the system disks? Or is there some other way to fix this?

My guess is that you are going to need System disks available here.

Restore iMac Time Machine Backup to Mac Mini

I've struggled to find a discussion that covers what I'm trying to do. I have a Time Machine backup from a G5 iMac that was stolen, not exactly certain which model. A friend of mine has lent me a Mac Mini to use but unfortunately when he tried to wipe his data from it, he didn't do a great job and wiped the machine entirely. It needs a FULL fresh install as it won't boot on it's own, however it won't allow me to restore from the iMac's Time Machine backup as it states it was 'created on a different machine'. The Mac Mini is the MB138LL/A model. I obviously don't have the original machine's installer disks to use so am a bit stumped. Thanks in advance for any help!

Order replacement discs from Apple customer service, if applicable, or buy a retail disc if the original OS was upgraded. Install, then import the data from Time Machine in Setup Assistant.

Imac ne boot pas

Bonjour, J'ai un imac qui date de 2006 ou j'ai installé Snow Léopard et qui l'a bien roullé pendant 1 an . IL y a trois mois, se fesant plus lent, j'ai décidé de sauvegardé mes données et de reformater mon disque dure(mac os) et réinstallé tout mes programmes. Ceci me donna l'impression d'avoir un imac tout neuf car il roullait vraiment bien et rapide jusqu'il y a 2 semaines... Je devais le redémarré 3 à 4 fois pour qui boot. Et se matin et bien il ne veut plus dutout, il reste sans arrêt sur la pomme qui load.
J'ai donc fait vérifier mon dique dure en bootant sur mon dvd d'installation et puis il me dit des truck du genre : lien de parenté non valide..structure de noeud non valide.. aucune référence hiérarchique... Et l'utillitaire de disque dure n'est pas capable de le réparer..
J'aimerais savoir si la seul sollution est de reformater.. et si oui , pourquoi cela s'est-il produit ? un virus ??

Merci pour votre aide. Finalement, après redémarrage avec Cmd + R , j'ai réinstallé OS X , 'ordinateur a mouliné 5 heures puis l'iMac a retrouvé son activité mais avec OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 ! Il parait que cela ralentit le fonctionnement... mais ... je suis très content quand meme !
