Imac making loud fuzzy noise only 1 years old. Can someone suggest how to stop it??
I have an iMac 2012 which today started making a loud fuzzy sound and the screen has now started flickering intermittently . I have checked the CPU usage and nothing is running more than about 8% so it can't be over heating, it is not hot either. Help!!

Call Apple Customer Relations - 1-800-767-2275. Ask politely & firmly that you want to be transferred to Customer Relations. Tell them exactly what you stated in your post. See what they can do for you. It's worth a try!
GOOD LUCK!

I have two iPads, one is my son's machine. Previously he had an IPad 1 and mine was an ipad2. The iPad 1 died so I bought myself a new ipad4. I have only one appleID for both machines but created two Game centre accounts as there is a couple of games we both play and have different high scores. ipad 4 is nicely set up with all of my game data but now I would like some help in reinstating My sons game centre account (previously on the ipad1) now on the iPad 2. When I try to log into game centre it only lets me out in my appleID which gives up my game center account. Thankyou.
You and your husband can share a store account and still have seperate iCloud accounts for your contacts, bookmarks and stuff like that. Click here for instructions to make an apple account without entering a credit card. Make sure you use a different email address for each apple account.
Set up your iPhone/iPad whatever using the new account for iCloud. Then go into settings/store and sign in with your purchasing account, you may need to sign out of the other account. To the best of my knowledge, your household is allowed to share purchased legally, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once you each have your own devices set to your own accounts you can set them to backup to that account and it will keep all your contacts seperate. -

My wife and I have separate ioS devices (iOS7) with separate iCloud accounts.
So we access our mail separately on these devices. But we would both like to be able to access mail at the desk top (iMac, OSX Mavericks). Currently only my mail is linked. How do I set up the Mac to allow it to access my wife's e-mail too, either in the same mail inbox or a separate one. Simple instructions please! If Mail in Mavericks is the same as earlier versions you can select accounts in the sidebar, so that you can either display the inboxes for individual accounts, or the contents of all the account inboxes. (If the accounts don't show click the disclosure triangle next to 'INBOX'). The layout may have changed since the version I have - Snow Leopard - but you should be able to do the same thing.

I have downloaded ios 5.1.1 and the wifi has stop working or it would stay on for less then 20min its only 9 months old can someone explain what is happening and if some know how to fix it
I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

Can you suggest how I can make only "salesperson" field mandatory?????
Hi gurus,
I want to make the field "Salesperson" in the Communication tab in the PO header mandatory.
When I set the field selection accordingly(field "salesperson" as required entry), other fields such as your reference, our reference, telephone number becomes mandatory.
can you suggest how I can make only "salesperson" field mandatory without making related fields mandatory?????
Regards
SaraHi,
Go to spro->MM->purchasing->PO->Define screen out at document -> select NBF ->Reference data, header->set field Reference, salesperson etc. as mandatory.
reward full point if resolve,

Can someone explain how these settings work together? Manual seams to contraduct the SILENCE setting at the bottom of the Do Not Disturb page. It's very confusing.
You should have seen information in the support document that you linked from. It used to be with the first version of Do Not Disturb that it would only function when the device was locked. That changed with iOS 7, and not it can be active all of the time. With it on Manual, it is on, but if you have the device "awake" that you can still receive calls/texts, etc. Sort of like you have the phone awake, so it isn't a problem for you to receive things. If you set the settings for Always, this means you can be doing things on the phone and not be disturbed by anything else. Does that make sense?

My daughter has an iphone 5s and I have her old 3GS. She receives all my imessages that I rcv or send to other people. Can anyone advise how to stop this? we have removed the 3gs from her itunes account but it hasn't stopped the issue.
There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon. -
We need to buy Adobe Framemaker version 11. The distributor is only able to provide us with version 12. Can someone suggest me how is it possible to get the license for ver 11 serial key after purchasing ver 12 and also how to get the download details ? Urgent response will be helpful.D
Adobe Support helped us with a similar query. We ended up with exactly what you need.

External HD for Mini making loud spinning noise
I have a 3 year old NewerTech MiniStack as my external HD for my Mini. All of a sudden it is making a loud almost high pitch spinning noise. I realize this can't be good but I wanted to know just how bad things could be with it and if there is anyway to either diagnose or fix it.
Noises, particularly constant noises, from hard drives are never a good thing, and anything that sounds like a dry bearing or that squeals or creaks is a pretty sure sign of impending failure.
The first thing to do is determine if what you're hearing is coming from the hard drive in the MiniStack, or possible a fan in the enclosure (if it has one). To do this, you'll need to open the enclosure. If it turns out to be a fan, then the drive is OK and aside from the risk of it overheating due to reduced cooling, it is safe to use until the fan is replaced or another enclosure obtained.
If it turns out to be the hard drive itself, then you really have to assume an impending failure is likely. While noisy drives have been known to run for years, they usually don't! You should ensure your data is backed up, and replace the drive.
A good way to do a very basic test on the drive is to turn it upside down. If the noise stops, or notably changes, it would tend to suggest the bearings are failing. If it continues to make the same or similar noise, it is more likely to be the motor. -
I have a 9 year old iMac g5 and I'm about to start a photography course therefore would like to purchase and install photoshop.
I want to know if this iMac will load and run this software well, and if so what version should I buy for this old computer!
thank youWZZZ wrote:
The wording is confusing. I just tried one of the DLs and it is working. Whether it will actually install now, I have no idea. If the activation servers have been disabled (because of a technical issue), probably not. Whether this is only temporary, I have no idea. I would think Adobe would just withdraw the entire page if they wanted. From the time this first appeared a few weeks ago until now I know it was working and could be installed using the provided serial #s. There was nothing about needing to actually have purchased it originally.
Ginger:
I downloaded CS2 from the Adobe site BEFORE this recent notice was posted and it is the only version that I have and use.
The new notice is VERY confusing, because if you were a prior purchaser of it originally, why would you need their newly supplied serial number (which is what I use since I was NOT a prior purchaser. But again, when I downloaded and installed CS2 there was no such notice).
I suggest that you see if it downloads, installs and works with that serial number, as free is always better than not! (especially since it is known that iMac G5's are prone to hardware failure from bad capacitors! I had many of them...)

I don't know how strict the OS requirements are. I do know that my old G5 iMac, even upgraded to Leopard, was able to run CS2. In fact, using Rosetta, CS2 still runs on my Snow Leopard.
As you can see from the image, CS2 is running in my Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) environment in Parallels concurrently with Lion.
