IMac monitor has stopped working
On boot up/bringing the system out of sleep the monitor flashes for a second, if it's coming out of sleep I can see the desktop/any windows currently open before it dies.
Currently I'm using an external monitor which works fine however it's still annoying to have a dead monitor.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Which model/generation iMac do you have? There are 3 models/generation of G5 iMacs.

HP Pavilion external monitor has stopped working with my Macbook Pro (Mid 2012) with OSX 10.8.3. When I purchased the monitor a few weeks ago it worked perfectly when computer was in clamshell mode or with lid open. Now external display has stopped working. When I turn on display it scans for signal but does not find it and then immediately goes into sleep mode. I am using a DVI connection with the adapter for the mini display plug. REALLY FRUSTRATING. My keyboard just stopped working out of the clear. One minuet OK next it was dead. No little green light at all. New batteries did not help.
FIXED THE PROBLEM! I took a small piece of aluminum, made a little ball out of it and dropped it down the tube where the batteries go. Replaced the batteries I had just used......little green light comes on and the the keyboard functions like always.
My guess is after a few years the contacts oxidize a bit and don't make contact with the batteries on the bottom of the tube. Give it a try. -
Activity Monitor has stopped working

My Activity Monitor has suddenly stopped working. Everytime I click on the icon in my dock or in Utilities nothing happens (icon in the dock bounces a couple of times then does nothing).
I find this program helpful but can't use it! Do I really have to reinstall Tiger again?

relating to the Activity Monitor. If you see a

Satellite P300: Display Driver has stopped working using external monitor
I have a number of these Satellite P300 PSPCCA-OC201Y and recently bought external monitors for them.
Since then we seem to be getting "Display Driver has stopped working and has recovered" messages, then after about 5 of these, it crashes.
Starting with one machine, I have updated display drivers, bios was current, all to no avail.
I then did a complete system restore back to original. Has not solved the problem.

as you said you restored the system and still there is no way to get things work it may be a hardware issue...
i my opinion you should consult a servicepartner to check this out...
is there any of the machines working with the external monitor at all?
if none of them is able to connect to ext. display maybe your installation has a problem or the monitor is faulty...
try it with another monitor and recover one system to factory installation.... -
The disk drive in my iMac 8,1 has stopped working, so I now use an LG 8x Slim Portable that works. However, every time I use the LG drive, I lose contact with my Time Machine back-up drive that has to be deleted and reinstalled. Help!
It's not Logic that can't find them, it's your Komplete apps, though if you did exaclty as you say I can see no reason why they can't.
Do you know where the apps installed them in the first place? I chose a non-standard locarion for mine, but I'm sure it installs sounds to your documents folder/native instruments/name of app.
Go into the prefs of each app and choose the library location button on the library tab and point it to the relevant folder in documents/native instruments and see if that works

I had to restore my iMac from Time Machine. After the restoration all programs are functioning except my Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium. When I start any program in the suite the error message, "Licensing for this product has stopped working." I restarted the computer and tried again to run Photoshop and the same error message appeared. The message was followed by a message that stated that I needed to contact Adobe technical support and mention Error: 150.30. I need Adobe technical support to provide me a solution for my problem so I can continue using my Adobe products installed on my computer.
Unfortunately when Adobe products are restored from backup, especial CS4 and especially Mac, it breaks licensing.
There is a python script included in the license recovery kit that should work if you are familiar with Terminal.
If not, you must reinstall your CS4 suite. You don't need to delete your preferences, so it should be the same as before.

I am running CS6 on a 2014 21" IMac version 10.9.5. I have an earlier version of Illustrator on CS4. When launching the CS4 Illustrator the message says "License for this product has stopped working". What can I do to get this to work?

Why will Photoshop CS4 not open after loading to new iMac from an external hard drive and I get this message: Licensing for this product has stopped working:error code: 150:30
A Photoshop installation is tied to the machine it was installed on. Moving it to or from a hard drive breaks the licensing.
The answer is easy: Reinstall CS4 from your disc. and apply all updates.

Hi folks, I own am IMac 27" running OS X 10.8.2. The optical drive has stopped working in that it accepts the disc but spits the CD, DVD even my original iMac install DVD back out, after attempting to read the disc. Any of you kind folks any ideas?

Problem with new iMac (with Yosemite): Licensing has stopped working Error 150:30
I have just bought a new iMac and used the Migration Assistant to transfer all my existing programs from my old computer.
When I try to launch my copy of InDesign CS4, I get the error message:
Licensing for this product has stopped working
Error 150:30
Because new iMacs do not have disk drives, I cannot reinstall using my original DVD disks.
Adobe’s online support team have said they are unable to help.
The Licensing Repair application does not work in Yosemite
Does anyone have any suggestions?

And fix the permissions on the relevant Library folders. The rest is between you and your Mac - as far as Adobe are concerned, CS4 is officially not compatible with Yoesemite.

You could get a keyboard remapping program & map someother key to the volumn key.

External HD has stopped working correctly on my iMac
I have 2 external HD aswell as my internal drive that have been running since I got my new iMac under a year ago, however it seems one of my external HD has stopped working so I really need help this drive has important files on I really need to access,
the drive itself lights up when connected and I can hear it trying to work and it even appears in the disk utility however after a few seconds it then disapears from the disk utility and the only wy to repeat this process is to unplug and then plug HD back in via the power cable.
it seems as though my HD is in some sort of sleep mode as the light dims when it disapears from disk utility.
Can anyone plese help?Off hand I would say the drive may be failing. Contact the original vendor as well as the manufacturer's tech support for assistance.
