Does the late 2013 iMac support outputting to monitors which have an ultra-wide aspect ratio of 21:9?

Hi, tough to tell, but they do run extensive tests after any replacement, so I think I'd be happy about the free extra replacement.
If under warrantee, they should replace any defect they find, not just one thing.

  • How to monitor query usage / query activity in the system?

I am using 0TCT_MC01 to report the number of times the query was executed and by which user.
    According to SAP Documentation,
The Technical Content for BI Statistics does not provide any standard queries for doing this. But you can easily create your
monitoring query based on the InfoProvider 0TCT_MC01 or 0TCT_C01 by using the key figures 0TCTQUCOUNT (counts every
navigation in a query) and 0TCTWTCOUNT (counts every call of a BI Application = initial opening of Workbook or Web Template).
0TCTWTCOUNT is a key figure in the cube.  How to restrict this KF to display only Initial opening of Workbook or web template ?
    Regds,

    hi,
Use the follwoing CHARS for restriction in report from cube 0TCT_VC01.
0TCTBISOTYP --> Type of BI Application
0TCTBIOTYPE --> Type of BI Application Object
    I hope it will help.
    Thanks,

  • HT1529 how could i connect a xbox 360 to imac monitor?

i would like to connect my xbox to my imac monitor to use it as a display.

In general you would unplug the monitor from the Mac Pro and then directly connect the monitor to the xBox 360 (with the correct adapter cable, depending on which version of the xBox 360 you have). However, if you don't have permission from the owner of the lab to be connecting and disconnecting cables you shouldn't be doing that. Buy a cheap 1080p TV and use your xBox 360 at home.

  • Can I connect Mac mini to iMac monitor

Can I connect a Mac mini to iMac monitor ? To view Mac mini files

    Hi Ricemail,
You *may* be able to do so, depending on the specific models of your iMac and Mac Mini, using a feature known as Target Display Mode. You may find the following article helpful:

  • How to share iMac monitor

    I have a G3 B/W with a CRT monitor OS 10.3.
    I also have a iMac 20” OS 10.4
How can connect both the G3 and imac so that I share the iMac monitor with the G3 CPU? I would like to get rid of the CRT.
If this is possible would I use only one keyboard, or would I still have to use 2 keyboards?
    Thanks
    Happy 2009

These machines cannot share a display. No iMac—which is a completely integrated computer and display system—can be used in place of the display with another computer.
What you can do is run a 'headless' configuration: one in which your Power Macintosh G4 does not have a display, but is otherwise operable. Using a product like Apple Remote Desktop, you can control that machine from your iMac remotely.

  • Can I use the iMac monitor to watch TV?

Am I able to connect the cable to the iMAC monitor so I may watch TV?

Yes but you need some third party hardware to do so, visit www.elgato.com and select a tuner for your needs.

  • Use imac monitor with ps3 or wii

    Hi all,
I have an imac 24" and i have wii and ps3.
Which device can I use to connect my imac monitor to these console?
I saw on the web the Elgato Hybrid device, but isn't the right solution for ps3.
    Best regards...

you can get the canopus ADVC110 and plug in the yellow RGB cable into it, then plug the device via firewire 400 into your computer. then open up iMovie 09 and press import video, but don't record or anything. just play.

  • Use imac monitor for laptop display?

Just curious, I've got a new mac book pro but the screen size just isn't sufficient for some applications. My 24" imac works great for it, but since this is my work laptop I'm not supposed to put these files on my home computer (not to mention the programs). So, I want to know if there is any way to use my imac monitor as a display for my laptop.
I know there isn't just a DVI in port on the imac, but there's got to be a way to do this... If it were a PC I'd say remote desktop.

christie.cone, Welcome to the discussion area!
Not directly the iMac does NOT have a video input.
However, you might want to take a look at ScreenRecycler.

  • HT201343 can i turn off my imac monitor while airplay from it to my tv?

can i turn off my imac monitor while airplay from it to my tv?

You can just turn your brightness down to 0.  Only thing I have figured out so far.

  • THE IMAC MONITOR

    HELLO ALL,
IS THERE A WAY TO TURN OFF THE IMAC MONITOR AND USE AN EXTERNAL MONITOR INSTEAD. I INITIALLY WANTED TO EXPAND THE DESKTOP, BUT FOUND OUT THAT I COULD ONLY MIRROR IT. SO, I AM EXPERIMENTING WITH THIS IDEA. IF ANYONE WOULD BE SO KIND AS TO GIVE GUIDANCE I WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATIVE.

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Some iMac G4s can be hacked to extend rather than mirror display. It could permeanently damage your iMac if it goes wrong - i.e. power fails mid install.
There are also iMac G4s out there with their screens removed. So these things are possible.

  • My iMac monitor just goes black

I have a 2009 27inch iMac with an external Samsung monitor.
Out of the blue, the iMAC MONITOR just goes black. Like it went to sleep or something.
This has happened 4 times in the last 2 weeks. (luckily I can restart the computer because the external Samsung still works.
I restart the computer and the monitor works fine again.
    Help.
    Thanks.

    Hi.
    Screen goes totally black.
The good news is, I read around and was advised to turn off the computer and unplug it, and plug it back in and start up. That seems to have fixed it. So far, so good.
    Thanks.

  • Is the latest iMac monitor (21.5" and 27") using 8-bit color depth or 6-bit dithering?

So far, there isn't been an official answer. Support millions of colors could be either one.

My question is more toward the hardware on that iMac monitor rather than the software setting (32-bit).
I notice a similar discussion few years back:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/10643776#10643776
So seem that Apple is not using 8-bit colors yet on iMac?

  • Can I use the new in December iMac monitor with the mini mac?

Considering buying the new iMac the Dec. issue. I wanted to know if this iMac monitor can also be used as a monitor for the new Mini Mac?

One of those Apple 27" ones would be cheaper: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/mac_accessories/displays

  • IMac monitor (my parents), the greys are so light and faint, they are almost impossible to see.  especially in icalendar.  i've gone into system preferences and i think i've tried everything there and checked the forums.  no luck. any other suggestions?

monitor too faint to read.  the greays on my monitor are so faint, they're almost impossible to see.  especially the numbers of the dates in ical.
i've gone to system preferences and contrast controls.  but no luck.  any other suggestions?  thank you

Thank you.  I didn't know about the universal access adjustment.  All the way left is a little better, but still much fainter than on my own imac.  I'm not sure why apple uses grey typeface, but it's so faint on this imac monitor that it was difficult to find the "reply" option on this post.  Are there any other suggestions?  thank you

  • IMac monitor goes dark; 2nd monitor ok

I have a dual monitor setup on my iMac (2009) running Snow Leopard (10.6.8).  The iMac monitor had been working great, but now it goes to a black screen.  I am able to access it briefly (for about a second) by lightly pressing the power button on the back.  The iMac monitor flashes on briefly when I do this and I'm able to quickly click on user.  I used this same method to open Settings and drag it over to the 2nd monitor to change the display setting to Mirror mode, so I'd have access to the dock on the 2nd monitor (Dell 2007WFP).
I have tried the following so far:
         checked cables
restarted by powering off, pressing on/off button for 5 seconds, unplugging for 15 seconds.
         booted in Safe Mode
reset PRAM (I believe this was reset, but I don't know for sure because I couldn't see anything on the monitors.)
    Other information:
2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
         8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
         NVIDIA GeForce 9400
Thank you in advance for help with this issue!

Replacing FBDIMMs would be today inexpensive and worth doing.
No one knows if heat is an issue without your using thermal sensor monitor. Probably want to up the default fan speeds while at it.
And because you don't have Lion+ then even more reason to setup a small maintenace volume on another drive with OS X basic system for repairs. In fact you should always have a bootable backup or two  you can rely on.
Restarting may work, or it  may be you have now new issue with corrupt fies or directory that a safe boot even is no guarantee of fixing.
When in doubt, try a clean new OS install on another drive.
    And FBDIMMs: $25 for a 2x2GB set on Amazon.com
You want to get  the most out of what  you have, a small investment  in RAM,  maybe recycle those drives for 2-4TB units. And an SSD will have system responding better and perform better.
My guess, the 5870 wasn't needed and was overkill and a 5770 for almost  half would have been more than adequate.
