Quando accendo il mio imac il suono d'avvio viene riprodotto dalle casse interne e al massimo volume ,quindi in distorsione, sebbene l'uscita sia collegato a un mixer.

Finalmente sono riuscito a trovare un po' di tempo per risolvere un piccolo problema che mi infastidisce ogni volta che accendo il mac di notte e siccome penso di non essere il solo per questo mi sono deciso a scrivere la soluzione facile facile in questo post.
Si avete capito bene sto proprio parlando del suono di avvio del nostro Mac, non metto in dubbio che sia affascinate sentirlo suonare durante l'accensione e ammetto che mi piace molto, sta di fatto che il suono alle 2 del mattino mentre gli altri dormono non è che sia del tutto affascinante.
Niente programmi da installare, niente cose a pagamento e niente applicazioni che possono rovinare il nostro amato Mac, leggendo queste righe vi spiegherò come eliminare il suono in modo facile e sicuro !!!
Or bene dopo questa piccola introduzione vediamo di non perdere tempo e di passare alla pratica !!!
Il problema sono riuscito a risoverlo in modo abbastanza facile attraverso AppleScript Editor.
Vediamo i passaggi:
1) Apriamo AppleScript Editor (se non lo trovate servitevi dello Spotlight per cercarlo ed aprirlo)
2) facciamo un copia incolla del questo codice:

3) Dal menù Archivio selezioniamo Registra col nome
4) Selezioniamo Formato documento Applicazione
5) Assegnamo il nome SpegniMyMac
6) impostiamo la cartella dove salvare in Applicazioni
7) Premiamo Registra
Ora per rendere esteticamente piu' bella la nostra applicazione aggiungiamo una piccola icona, io vi suggerisco questa qui di seguito, non dovete fare altro che cliccarci sopra con li tatsto destro (oppure ctrl+ tasto sinistro) e selezionare copia immagine:
A questo punto apriamo Finder e andiamo nella cartella Applicazioni, selezioniamo la nostra applicazione appena creata SpegniMyMac e premiamo sulla tastiera cmd+i
Nella finestra che vi si aprirà, in alto a sinistra trovate una piccola icona, selezionatela (si illuminerà il bordo), premete ora cmd+v e chiudete la finestrella delle informazioni.
Da Finder (nella cartella applicazioni) copiate nella Dock l'applicazione appena creata.
Ogni volta che utilizzarete questa icona per spegnere o riavviare il vostro Mac, in automatico prima dello spegnimento il volume verrà automaticamente messo in mute, in questo modo al riavvio non sentirete piu' il classico suono che sveglia tutti alle 2 di mattina !
La comodità di questa procedura è che se si vuol verificare la salute del proprio mac sentendo se all'avvio emette o no il suono, sarà sufficiente alzare il volume e spegnere il Mac da Mela > Spegni, in questo modo alla riaccensione il volume rimarrà allo stesso livello lasciato in fase di spegnimento.
Per i piu' pigri potete scaricare il file già bello e pronto da qui:
(il file non è altro che lo script creato qui sopra, non crea alcun problema ma meglio scrivere che se vi causa problemi non mi ritengo responsabile di nulla.... alla fine è uno script semplicissimo che danni può fare?!?!? )

Importing non-time code Audio

Hi All,
I have a project coming up where my audio is coming from old fashioned
cassette tapes.
I'm thinking the way about doing this would be to run my audio from the player into my dv deck and capture the audio via fire wire through the usual log and capture method. The only thing is the log/capture seems to always be looking for time code. Is there a way I can capture this non-time code audio and create my audio files?

To do it the way you are trying, you must go to
AUDIO VIDEO SETTINGS > DEVICE CONTROL PRESETS and choose
NON CONTROLLABLE DEVICE.
The only problem with this method is that you would not to be able to recapture the material again with a timecode that relates to your project.

(no need to select non controllable) When the project is complete, you can safely delete the media files knowing that they exist on tape as a timecode source that you can recapture should the need arise.

Brand new iMac 3.4GHz fan runs all the time - how do I stop it?

Hi, just opened my shiny new imac but the fan runs all the time and very loud! Has anyone any ideas how to fix this or should I return the imac to apple?
I've also noticed that none of my external drive icon show up on the desktop - nor does the imac hardrive icon appear - any ideas?

Try an SMC reset, you may need to do it at least 2x.
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Wait 15 seconds.

My iMac 27"(late 2009), Audio in/Optical digital audio out port, stopped recognizing my new Bose speaker system, previously working through that port. I tested the speaker system through my iPhone, and it works fine. I hooked it up to the Headphone out/Optical digital audio in port, and it works through that port also. I did a computer restart, I also checked all wiring and did a system repair on the computer. I also restarted the computer in mode where I could use the system utility, and the computer still did not correct the matter, and it reported everything as being "ok". I wented into "sound", through system preferences, and the computer does not recognize anything I plug into the Audio in/Optical digital audio out port. When I plug the speaker sysytem into the headphone out/optical digital audio out port, it does recognize the Bose speaker system as being "headphones".
Reading through a lot of forums, I hear everything from compatibility, to the port being stuck, and on and on. Since the port was working before, and just quit working one day, I wonder if there is a capacitor or fuse or some type of similar thing is blown, and causing the port to be unfunctionable. Maybe the port went bad, but before this time, I had never used it, and the computer does not move around, and I never plug in and pull wiring out unless needing to, and that being rare.

If any of you have any ideas regadrding wear and tear, and fix I can do, etc., besides having to take my computer into Apple? Thank you, and potentially all of you, for your time and effort in helping me with this issue. Thank you kindly.

Okay, davE, first, you have posted in the "Mac Pro" forum (not Macbook Pro), so we can't be super helpful
but we help you. First, hold down the Option key while clicking on the speaker icon at the top of your screen. This should show you all the inputs and outputs you have. you could check in "About this Mac" then "More info" to see whatever's recognized. Then, maybe, fire up Audio MIDI. your speaker system should show up there. something might have gotten set incorrectly. You can test it there. I guess you are using the good ol' analog cable for connection, and it works on your iPhone, so the cable isn't bad. You could try this. it 's an adapter which might solve your problem

imac non avvia il boot ne da DVD e ne da HD, premendo Alt non succede niente, nessun disco di avvio, qualsiasi tasto premo non mi dice niente, ho provato a resettare la pram ma non si resetta, ho una tastiera usb, come faccio a far partire il dvd di istallazione di leopard? ho provato anche con boot da dvd windows niente non mi fà vedere nessun boot... come faccio???

metti il CD di Leopard nel lettore, avvia l'iMac con il tasto "C" premuto e fai i controlli con "Utility Disk", in bocca al lupo!!!

All'avvio il Mac Pro si blocca sulla schermata blu.
