IMac not streaming from Match, says cannot find location
I have most of my music on an external harddrive which was connected to my iMac. All those songs are uploaded or matched to my Match. I have unplugged the harddrive (since my iMac does not like firewire and will freeze, another issue completely) but now my computer will not stream the songs from my Match that were read through this computer. Songs that were uploaded/matched through my old work computer play fine on this computer, but it seems to be looking for these songs as if they were still connected to the harddrive and completely ignores Match.
I have turned off Match and turned it back on to rescan and it's still doing it. Everything plays fine through my iPhone 5.
Am I just not understanding how this works or am I doing something wrong?

iTunes Match does not change your local library without specific instruction.
So your local library will look for Songs on the original 'now disconnected' drive.
It is very important that you make a full secure backup of your original Song files, once complete, try the following:
1. Create a Smart Playlist with the conditions, Location is 'on this computer' and Media Kind is music.
2. Select 4-5 Songs as a trial and delete the local Songs.
3. They will vanish from the playlist - find them in the library and play them (they will stream from iCloud).
If you are content, you can remove all Songs from the playlist, leaving a library that will look to the iCloud for these Songs.

Cannot sync photos-says cannot find file, will not sync
eveytime I try to sync, when it gets to photos, iTunes has an error window with no code that says "Cannot find file, cannot sync" Everthing else backs up and syncs except photos. My husband uses the same mac and he can sync just fine, no errors.

Are you doing step 3? You can also right click and select Show Package Contents. It works both ways for me. I just tried it. -

I'm creating a webpage with Notepad and wanting to see illustrations using my browser, i have loaded the text html files and that works fine however when i try to load images using this command...<img src="life.jpg" width="403" height="403"> it fails to load...error says cannot find file however the file it says it cannot find is the correct name and the image is located in the same folder save as html...is this a pc security problem? Tried different images...saving as jpg, html...thanks

Make sure that you are using forward slashes in the file paths and not backslashes.
Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).<br />

Boot from DVD but cannot find hard drive now
just updated to 10.7.3, then cannot boot from hard drive. I boot from DVD and cannot find hard drive now
Did the 10.7.3 update complete the installation process?
Some updates, when being installed and applied can restart (but not fully start up) the machine a couple of times.
I'd restart your machine and give it a few uninterrupted minutes to see if it boots up normally. Depending on the specs of your iMac, the remapping of app shortcuts etc can take a little while to complete (but not an excessive amount of time).
It is unlikely the update caused your hard drive to fail.
If your iMac doesn't boot up, restart and boot into the recovery partition of Lion by holding down both the cmd & R keys while booting. This will run Lion Recovery which will allow you to repair your Hard Drive, reinstall or install a fresh copy of Lion (network access is required).
If this fails, boot from the recovery DVD and launch Disk Utility from the Tools option in the toolbar and see if your hard drive is listed in Disk Utility. If your hard drive is not listed, there is a hard drive problem and you'll need to speak to Apple Tech Support to arrange a repair.

my Ipad won't recognise my printer. It is connected as I have typed the IP address into Safari which confirms connectivity. Spoken with canon who suggest it it is a problem with IOS not recognising the functionality. When I try to print it says cannot find any air printers. Printer is working via LAN set up on my laptop. Don't want to have to spend £25 to speak to an apple support team. Has anyone else experienced this problem. Printer is a canon MG 3250.
A few things you could try:
Reboot your modem/router.
Turn your printer off then on again & make sure it's connected to the network.
Reboot your iPad holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until the apple logo appears then release & let the iPad boot up normally.
Try going into Settings on your iPad & select General->Reset->Reset Network Settings.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

We'll, I recently get a new phone, and I used my old phones back ups. And now I can not purchase in game with my Apple ID, it keep saying " cannot find your Apple ID or wrong password" but I can still purchase in Apple store
And it works just fine in the old phoneThere are a lot of reports of people having this problem (including me). The Apple iTunes store has been having other issues as well (some speculate it might be related to the recent Lion release).
You could open a case with Apple, or you could just wait it out. I'm sure Apple is in the process of fixing it since this seems to be hitting a lot of users. -

Also having that problem - I checked and I am connected to internet (can access other websites or other pages in Apple's website), can login from Snow Leopard (10.6.8) with Mac App Store there, but if I use the (external) drive with ML to start up, no go.
I can get to the "Featured"/initial MAS page, and tried going to the login from there, but same problem as Mitoshacer.
In my case, MacBook Pro (2.66GHz, 8GB RAM, 500GB external with ML - vs. 320GB internal drive with 10.6.8), March/April 2009 model. Have done searches for the problem online, but nothing shows up (except some for older OS X versions). -
it wont let me delete my apple software update so i can download the new version of itunes, it say cannot find the folder
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the thingy):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
I have my personal music (not purchased from Itunes) stored in two locations, on my PC and on an external HD. How can I find out which directory itunes uses to access this music? I am using Itunes version 11.4.0.18. Thanks
Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. My photos are not streaming from my iPhone 4 to my iPad 7. The settings are correct and it always has before I had a recent holiday in Cuba. Those photos didn't stream and now new photos since home in Vancouver, Canada are not? Both are updated to IOS 7.1.2
Hmm... It looks like they are gone forever now then. I can't think of any other way of getting them back apart from restoring from an iTunes or iCloud backup. Somebody else might be able to help but I think they're gone forever. I don't know why they were wiped from your iPod but it could be something to do with security. In the future I would recommend syncing to iTunes or iCloud to prevent it from happening again. You can always make a reservation at the Genius Bar and see what those guys can do because it seems that they are still there, they are just 'hidden' from view. http://concierge.apple.com/reservation/gb/en/techsupport/

Thanks, this seems to have worked. I held the alt / command keys down until it fully opened. Previously I have only been holding them down as I click on the icon. I had to use the last option rather than the repair permissions but it seems to have done the trick, cheers

Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
