IMac only burning partial discs - not all of the data.

Greetings all. We are using 5 mid 07 iMacs in our publishing office. When archiving work we are starting to have problems with DVD burning. Once a DVD is finished burning, we are seeing numerous instances where data that was included before the burn, is not on the final disc. Some files are not even there. No messages pop up during the burning process and everything seems to work fine until you check the final burned disc. We have experimented with various types of media, and it appears no single brand is causing it. Sometimes everything goes just fine, other times not. Has anyone run into this and has an idea on how to remedy the situation?

I am having a similar problem with burning CDs of files. When I drop all the files in a Burn Folder, all appear with the little alias arrow in the lower left corner, which is expected. After the CD burns, most of the files become normal (i.e., the arrow disappears), but some remain as aliases on the burned CD instead of burning a copy of the original. Very frustrating. I use TDK CD-R80 blank disks. Any ideas? I never had this problem until I updated from Tiger to Leopard.

YYou have to describe your issue in more detail. Are you using iTunes? Trying to see it in Apple TV, etc, etc.

Why doesn't my slideshow burned to disc not play on my dvd player or game devices? I've created the slideshow using my Mac on OS X 10.6.8 & burned to both a CD-R & DVD disc. The disc does work on my computer; however will not play on my dvd player, projectors or gaming devices.

Did you use iDVD to create a video DVD or did you burn a Quicktime file version of your slideshow to a DVD disk via the Finder thus creating just a data disk?
If you didn't use iDVD then that's the reason the disk won't play on those other devices.

Absolutely!
If you are taking your $500 electronic device to the beach, I recommend you get a case that completely seals the iPhone from the elements (ie. waterproof).

Shift-Command-H is the key-combo to switch 'Long Header'/'Standard Header' .

Has the album now been released ? If it is has and you've paid for it (you aren't charged when you pre-order an item, only when it's released) then you should be able to download the complete e.g. via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone, or the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes.

I have a project in IMovie11 to burn to IDVD. It exits before the end when not complete. The disc is 4.7 GB and the projetc is 4 GB
One has completed and the others has not
Any Ideas please?

Short version:
Best Performance is for videos of up to 60 minutes
Best Quality is for videos of up to 120 minutes
Professional Quality is also for up to 120 minutes but even higher quality (and takes much longer)
That was for single-layer DVDs. Double these numbers for dual-layer DVDs.
Professional Quality: The Professional Quality option uses advanced two-pass technology to encode your video (The first pass determines which parts of the movie can be given greater compresson without quality loss and which parts can’t. The second pass then encodes those different parts accordingly) , resulting in the best quality of video possible on your burned DVD. You can select this option regardless of your project’s duration (up to 2 hours of video for a single-layer disc and 4 hours for a double-layer disc). Because Professional Quality encoding is time-consuming (requiring about twice as much time to encode a project as the High Quality option, for example) choose it only if you are not concerned about the time taken.
In both cases the maximum length includes titles, transitions and effects etc. Allow about 15 minutes for these.
You can use the amount of video in your project as a rough determination of which method to choose. If your project has an hour or less of video (for a single-layer disc), choose Best Performance. If it has between 1 and 2 hours of video (for a single-layer disc), choose High Quality. If you want the best possible encoding quality for projects that are up to 2 hours (for a single-layer disc), choose Professional Quality. This option takes about twice as long as the High Quality option, so select it only if time is not an issue for you.
Use the Capacity meter in the Project Info window (choose Project > Project Info) to determine how many minutes of video your project contains.
NOTE: With the Best Performance setting, you can turn background encoding off by choosing Advanced > “Encode in Background.” The checkmark is removed to show it’s no longer selected. Turning off background encoding can help performance if your system seems sluggish.
And whilst checking these settings in iDVD Preferences, make sure that the settings for NTSC/PAL and DV/DV Widescreen are also what you want.

For example, in itunes on my computer a playlist has over 100 songs, but when I sync my phone, my iphone only shows 60 songs. I can go into my phone and add the missing songs to the playlist, but the next time I sync my phone the songs are gone again.

Wondering if you haven't been bitten by the new "feature" of iOS 5, as was my son. turingtest2 explained it very well in reply to my own query about "missing" songs in playlists.

Now as you may know there is some icons at the bottom of the mail app, at the top left conner you should have the inbox button and on the upper right conner you should have two arrows to shift between emails. If any of those options works try :
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings
If that does not work try to re add the account
Last but not least, restore as new.

I had purchased apps from the app store on my iPad and would like to install those purchased apps on my iphone4, but not all of the apps are displayed in the purchased history when I try to view it from the iPhone. Your iPhone has to be signed in to the Apple ID you used on your iPad when you originally purchased these apps in order for them to appear under Purchased on your iPhone (i.d., Purchased will only show apps purchased under the Apple ID you are currently signed into). Find out which ID you used to purchase the apps (launch iTunes, highlight Apps on the left under Library, highlight each of the apps, go to File>Get Info and look for Account Name: This will be the Apple ID that you used to purchase the app).
Once you know the Apple ID, on your iPhone go to Settings>Store>Apple ID (at the bottom), Sign Out of the current ID, then sign into the new ID. Now go to Purchased and see if the missing apps are there.

have a text convo with the person you want to delete. Go to the top contact in the text convo, hit edit contact, and delete that contact.
That resolution came from another thread on this issue, and this did solve to poster's issue.
