IMac OSX 10.6.8 will not link with my iPhone 4s.
I connect the phone to my computer via USB and nothing happens.
This is obviously disappointing.
Can somebody please help me out?

I have a G5 which I intend to keep.
Now that I have updated my iphone 4s to iOS 7.0.
I cannot add music to my iphone or upload photos to iphoto.
I have the last itunes 10.6.3. which was supported by apple.
itunes will not interact with my iphone on any level.
Apple made all the equipment I use.

Regarding iOS 7.0 you have totally lost the plot.
We buy apple why?
Quality.
Intuitive interface.
Stable software.
Design.
All that Steve Jobs consider sacrosanct.
Quality is about ongoing support longevity of product.
Its not about trying to sell to every person on the planet, others are way ahead of you.
So try respective the customers you have, it wont be long before theirs a better operating system and your lead in hardware is marginal.

If you have an iPhone or iPad do not update to ISO 7 unless you want an operating system that looks like windows 8. The graphics looks like it was designed by a artistically challenged mongoose and the operating system is not intuitive something apple users expect. Ive got the same problem, just got my iphone unlocked, and they told me to sync it to itunes to get it permently unlocked, well everytime i plug my iphone in it says; it wont work as it needs up dating to 10.6.3, which i have already updated, but still doesnt work, so how can i get my phone unlocked?

I made a playlist in iTunes, but it will not sync with my iPhone when I connect it to iTunes and select sync, why? On the music tab, I have selected, import all songs.
Okay, but being "checked and highlighted" does not cause media to sync.
Do you manually manage the content on the device or use the sync feature as designed?
If manually managing the content, can you "drag and drop" the media onto the device?
If syncing, go to the Movies (or video) tab and select the video there, then sync.

Replacement iPhone will not link with MB
I just received a replacement iPhone due to a bad battery. Although the original iPhone linked to the Bluetooth in my MB flawlessly, I cannot get my replacement to do the same.
I can authorize the phone and Mercedes shows it as linked, yet the iPhone does not see the MB bluetooth and will not link.

Try resetting all network settings, and forgetting all pairing on the car's bluetooth as well.
Then try repairing.

IMac OSX 10.6.8 will not detect HP Officejet 6500 E709n series wireless printer
I had my iMac OS 10.6.8 unplugged for a week and just hooked it back up today and for some reason HP Officejet 6500 E709n Series wireless printer cannot be detected. I have tried everything... AppleCare could not help... they said to install the HP software off HP's site... I did but my computer will not recognize the printer in default printers. I have tried talking to HP Support and they mentioned something about DDS corruption but do not want to pay $99 for that to most likely not be the reason. I have tried calling Verizon because AppleCare said it was a network issue and then Verizon said it was a software issue.
I even tried re-installing the printer with the USB cord plugged in the back so it could at least recognize the software, but once the printer was put back in the other room, it stopped working. It now says:
Looking for printer...
Canceling job
Printer offline.
There is also a yellow circle with a wavy line in the middle.
This has never happened before. When I first hooked this machine up, it just picked up the printer and there were no issues.
Sorry this is a little wordy but I am out of options on how to fix this... please help.

Java for Mac OSX 10.4 Release7 will not work with eTrade Market Trader
After the latest update to 10.4.11 wich was the latest version of Java the java applet will not start. Talked to eTrade tech support and found out that their site only supports up Java1.6. Now I am trying to update my Mac Pro to 10.4.10 but can not find the update anywhere that is not bundled with the latest version of Java. Called Apple support, they did not have a solution, so to all you experts how can this problem be resolved ?
Thank you for your response. I spent 2 hours on the phone with an Apple Tech, he was really good and we went through all the possibilities (thank god for Apple Care Plan). He even got others involved but we all could not come up with anything else than to do an 'Archive-Install'. I did repair permissions several times. My Mac was running great prior to the update, I actually own 7 Mac's and I am very meticulous with maintenance and backing up everything. By the way I love these things. But when the new update came out, I told everybody to backup and then update the Mac's. Now I have 1 Mac that runs 10.4.8 and 6 that run 10.4.11. They all work great and are in great condition, but the only one that can run the online trading platform is the one running 10.4.8 and all the others have the software to access my .Mac account. Since I have these Mac's indifferent locations (so I can travel without lugging one along) I enjoy using all the .Mac features. Everything was so easy before "Java for Mac OSX 10.4 Release 7" came out. I am just really frustrated. I just wish I could go back to 10.4.10. But all the updates are bundled with the Java release 7. Is there any place where I can find 10.4.10 ?

I am using an older windows computer with Windows XP and iTunes 11.0.5.5. Since upgrading my iPhone and iPad my system will not allow me to connect the devices to my iTunes -- it notes I need to upgrade to iTunes 11.5. However using automatic updates or manual update I can not update iTunes -- I get an error message the older windows iTunes could not be removed. I can not remove iTunes using control panel -- an older install/uninstall file is evidently missing. All of my music is contained on my PC -- more music is on my PC than I store on my other devices and I don't want to loose those music files nor permission to access those music files. Does anyone have a solution to uninstalling and upgrading windows iTunes without losing my music. I would like to be able to connect my iPhone and iPad to my PC again. RS

My computer has worked well since I bought it new. All of a sudden it will not recognize my i-phone to snyc. I receive an error message saying that -42404 is missing from i tunes and it then crashes....help please

It's also possible that newer iPhone updates want an OS higher than Tiger. Post the specs of your computer and we can see if an OS upgrade is possible. There are a large number of G4 variants with different capabilities, so giving us something more than just "G4" will get you help faster. -
IPhoto will not sync with my iPhone
I did the new update for my Mac yesterday and one of the update was for iPhoto but now when I open iphoto it will not find my iPhone. Not sure what to do to fix that. I do have iTunes open and iTunes does see my iPhone so I know it has nothing to do with my computer not finding my iPhone.
ThanksI had the same problem. I refreshed my iPhone (held down the power button and the home button until the apple logo appeared, should take about 5-10 sec). Now everything works like an apple . Hope it works for you.

Since IOS7 update, my car stereo will not communicate with my Iphone 4
Ok, I have had Kenwood car stereos with bluetooth connection since they came out with it and I have never had a problem. Now I am so mad, I am ready to throw my phone out the window. I can plug into usb or stream music bluetooth and it plays just like it always has. It even lists the name of the song and artist while the song plays. My problem is that since the update, I can no longer skip songs or dial by voice. I called Kenwood and they say that I am not alone. Their phones have been ringing constantly with disgruntled Iphone users. Do I need to buy a new phone or can Apple fix the problem? As I see it, this is dangerous because you literally have to pick up your phone, swipe the screen once to unlock, then swipe again to go to music playing, then pick the song you want to listen to which now shows up as like 20 tiny thumbnails (android copy?). How am I supposed to drive safely when I have to do this? Before I could just put Itunes on shuffle and tap the next button on my remote to skip songs without ever taking my eyes off the road. Also, before IOS7 I could hit the voicecall button and dial by saying the name of the person I wanted to call. Now I have to unlock the phone and go through the whole dangerous process of finding the contact and dialing. Is there a fix in the works Apple? Please advise. Thanks
If your phone supports Siri (a 4 doesn't), you _should_ be able to hold down the home button until she is ready then say call XXX. Of course, that is only a stopgap. I have no idea why Apple has to break things to advance their OS. I'm not happy about many of the stunts they pull these days. The only other suggestion I have is to delete the pair between devices and pair them again. There's a slight chance it may work. Otherwise, one of the companies is going to have to release an update to fix it. Maybe kenwoodusa.com already has. Have you checked?

Imac 10.6.8 will not sync with my iphone 4s 6.0.1.
I have iMac 10.6.8 and this is the only update I can get apparently. I have an iPhone 4s 6.0.1. I can't get iCloud because I can't update to 10.7 on my iMac. Only some items sync and others get duplicated.
Am i screwed or can I fix this? I rely heavily on this feature.

ITunes podcast preview page will not link with itunes store in windows
My external url still connects correctly with the itunes preview page and opens the iTune's store in iTunes (versions 9 & 10) on my Mac but when I check the link on a windows vista pc, since the latest version of iTunes was made available, I cannot get beyond the preview page as iTunes is not recognised despite clicking on the 'already' installed link on the page.
Anyone having this problem since iTunes v10 was made available? I've tried it with the full url and the shortened url with the same results.followed these steps...NO LUCK 5 days and stillnot working
The recommended steps are:
1) Sign out of the iTunes Store by choosing Sign Out from the Store menu in iTunes.
2) Visit the My Apple ID website at:
http://appleid.apple.com
3) If the site is not displayed in your preferred language, click the Change Language link in the upper-right corner, type the name of your language in the field that appears, then click the Save button.
4) Click the "Manage your account" link.
5) Type your iTunes Store account name (which is your Apple ID) in the Apple ID field, type your password in the password field, then click the Sign In button.
6) Click "Addresses" in the column on the left. Look at your shipping addresses at the bottom. If you have multiple shipping addresses, remove any out-of-date or duplicate addresses by clicking Delete. Also, make sure the state or province field is filled out correctly for each address. To edit an address, click Edit.
7) Now click "Phone Numbers" on the left. The area codes should be in the area code fields and the phone numbers should be in the phone number fields. If an area code is missing, or if it is in a phone number field, your account information may not save properly.
8) Make any other necessary corrections, then click the Save Changes button.
9) Click Log out in the upper-right corner.
