    Hello,
How are you deploying the reports? Via Visual Studio, Report builder or manually uploading RDL files?

I have a new iMac running OS 10.9.  When I use the Command S shortcut in any of my apps (numbers, text edit etc), it no longer saves the active document it speaks it instead.  How can I revert to the save shortcut function?

    have you looked in
system preference->Dictiation & speech if it's assigned there?
or system preference->accessibility if it's assigned there?

  • I have an iMac running Mavericks would like to  connect/use my Canon CanonScan 8600F scanner or purchase another scanner

I just recently upgraded my Intel iMac to Mavericks and can no longer use my Canon CanonScan 8600F scanner.  What can I do to enable this device with my iMac?  Or, should I consider purchasing another compatible scanner?

I went to the site and at the bottom of the screen that shows my scanner there is nothing listed for any software as their system "sensed" that I had Mavericks installed.  I'll plan on calling their support line on Monday but, I'm not all that positive that there will be a good answer.  Thanks anyway . .

  • Cannot send report out when using "program rsrd_broadcast_starter"

I create Program for sending report to many users with BEx Broadcasting concept.
I have a loop for sending report out to many users.
For the first time, the report will be sent out.
But the second time, the report won't be send out.
    What's wrong with my code?
    Here is my coding.
    =============================================================================
          LOOP AT gt_variant INTO gs_variant.
    *Change E-mail of BEx Broadcaster
            SELECT SINGLE * FROM /bic/azopa_d0100 INTO wa_dso
            WHERE co_area = gs_variant-zco_area
            AND rspl_cha = gs_variant-zcost_center
            AND /bic/zreptype = gs_variant-zreptype.
            IF wa_dso-/bic/zbimail1 IS NOT INITIAL.
              mail = wa_dso-/bic/zbimail1.
            ENDIF.
            IF wa_dso-/bic/zbimail2 IS NOT INITIAL.
CONCATENATE mail ';' wa_dso-/bic/zbimail2 INTO mail.
            ENDIF.
            IF wa_dso-/bic/zbimail3 IS NOT INITIAL.
CONCATENATE mail ';' wa_dso-/bic/zbimail3 INTO mail.
            ENDIF.
            SELECT SINGLE *  FROM rsrd_sett_node_a INTO wa_email
            WHERE  setting_id = 'ZOPA_KPI_REPORT_BEXBC_PP'
            AND id = 'DI_EMAIL' AND rsr_index = '0'.
            wa_email-value = mail.
            UPDATE rsrd_sett_node_a FROM wa_email.
*Using Program 'rsrd_broadcast_starter' to run BEx broadcaster name 'ZOPA_KPI_REPORT_BEXBC'
            SUBMIT rsrd_broadcast_starter WITH p_settng = 'zopa_kpi_report_bexbc_pp' WITH p_online = 'X' AND RETURN.
    *Send mail out
            WAIT UP TO 5 SECONDS.
            IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
              SUBMIT rsconn01 WITH mode = 'INT' WITH output = ' '.
            ENDIF.
          ENDLOOP.

    Hello,
Perhaps the wait time is too low and there is contention? Have you tried to extend it?
Why dont you just maintain all of the names in the broadcast setting zopa_kpi_report_bexbc_pp. This is the expected behaviour.

  • Cannot send report directly to printer

    Hi,
we are installing new canon printers (irc2380's) and we are having difficulty getting the reports to the printer.
If i send the output of the report as a file to the application server(solaris) and then print using an lp command then the report prints fine, however if we try to send the output directly to the printer, the report server thinks it has been successfull but nothing appears on the printer.
We are using run_report_object, have tried looking at the ppd files but cannot get any to work, canon do not seem to have any specific for unix.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello,
If the Reports Version is >= 9.0.2 , an output file has been generated in the Reports Server cache ($ORACLE_HOME/reports/cache by default)
and this file is sent to the printer with the script rwlpr.sh (in $ORACLE_HOME/bin)
Check the content of the file generated in the Reports cache, test to send it "manually' to the printer
    Regards

  • Genius cannot send information to Apple, please help!

Hi is there anybody out there who can help me?
    This is the problem:
I have an iMac with itunes 8 on. I've been trying to start genius features the whole week. The first step (scanning my library) is ok but then the system takes way too much time to send information to apple. I tried to let it go for more that 8 hours in different days. There must be something wrong. Any idea how to fix this?
i've already tried to check itunes libraries file with XML validator and it says that it is ok.
I really don't know what else to do.

Weird! Are you logged in to the iTunes store and have authorised your computer?

  • I,ve got the mid 2011 2.7 ghz imac running m lion. Should i use bootcamp or third-party software?

The reason i ask is due to my lack of faith in apples software. I,ve tried s leopard, lion and now m lion and my imac is still slower than all my friends windows computers. whether its internet based or non internet based its always slow. in my defense the imac choice was based on my ipad 2 which is ace. the imac cost over £1300 and i expected a lot better. Anyway i use it for gaming quite a lot and i,m prepared to upgrade the graphics card and buy windows 7 or 8 just for game accessability and the option of being able to use a gamepad that actually works with the imac. Are there any risks or disadvantages involved with using boot camp. I don,t have much confidence in Apples software as every system i,ve used has bricked my computer and caused me to reinstall due to apple software conflicts. (Apple tech supports theory and they charged me £35 for this little nugget even though i bought the imac Jan 2012 new).  i refuse to pay for a backup solution as i think it should be free like system restore on windows. I purposefully don,t store anything important on the imac due to past probs so losing data i can live with. Slowing it down further i cannot. Please help.

you can't upgrade the video cards on imacs
it's confusing what you are asking bootcamp is apples software which let you run windows native on your imac
the alternative is parallels or virtualbox if you need to run windows apps and those being emulated and will not have full access to the video card would not be good for gaming

  • I want to install winXP to my iMAC running Lion OS.  I will use BootCamp.  My winXP uses 2 disks with XP on one CD and SP2 on the other.  Bootcamp seems to say use a one disk version.   What can I do about this paradox?

I want to install winXP on my iMac.  It has OS 10.7.2 and uses a 27" display.  I will use Bootcamp and create a separate partion for winXP.  Bootcamp instructions call for a single disk winXP CD with Service Pack 2 on it.  My version has winXP on one disk and Service pack 2 on another.  Will this be a problem?  If it is, is there a solution?
                                                                            Tnx...K6jpj

If you just bought an iMac a week ago new, it WILL NOT support XP unless XP is inside a virtual machine.  End of story.  You will need Windows 7 if you plan to run Windows natively on any Mac in 2011.
Used models will run XP, though--from the Intel inception in '06 through the middle part of 2010.
However, consider that Microsoft wants XP gone--and badly so--even as it is extending security hotfix support through April 2014.  This gives you two years and four months before you have to throw down for whatever's current at that time.
Windows 7 will give you a much better experience (dare I say more Mac-like?) than XP, as it seems to be better organized.  The Taskbar, for instance, has become more like the OS X Dock in that you can "pin" things to it in a straightforward manner, unlike XP's seldom-used Quick Launch traybar.
7's also built to take advantage of all the snazzy new hardware you now have.
But don't let me sell it to you.  It's really your call.

  • IPhone 3GS, running ios5 successfully for weeks, cannot send a message without the messaging app immediately crashing. I have restored, updated, turned on and off, still cannot receive or send texts. Please help!

I originally restored my phone after music and videos iTunes said had synced were not showing up on my phone - sorted that problem, now this.

This may sound dumb, but if you can't send or receive any texts at all, someone in another thread mentioned shutting down, taking out the SIM card, reinserting, and rebooting.  If that doesn't work try putting the SIM in another phone then putting it back in the iPhone.  If it still doesn't work ask the provider for a new SIM.
Also, I don't understand why iPhone doesn't allow MMS without data.  MMS was DESIGNED to be sent as a text message and it works on regular "dumb" phones with no data.  This is not new technology yet iPhone is purposely blocking it.  That is ridiculous.  You can see from the following table that this is what Apple wants:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2755
(As a side note, you can also see from the table they are intentionally blocking the ability to send a text to an email address even though that too is not a new feature, and that too works in other phones.)

  • Cannot send mail from apple mail or outlook- HELP- tried everything on Google- nothing works!

Getting really disheartened after the thrill of getting a brand new iMac!
I cannot get my email to work on Apple Mail or Outlook (which I pay for) at all!
I can get the messages but not send any- and I have honestly tried EVERYTHING to get it to work- all port changes etcetc
Someone has mentioned you can change a smtp relay number which may be set to 0 as a default with Mac!
I have been a PC for years so I am not sure what to do here and there is no tutorial that makes any sense on google.
Someone please help me before I burst into flames!
This is a work account and not being able to send emails doesnt help me.
Ps- the email still works on old pc laptop and my android phone.
    Thanks

  • Cannot send gmail in apple mail since upgrading to Yosemite

Since I upgraded to Yosemite, I am unable to send any mail from any imap accounts.  My gmail and work account are offline.  I've tried all of the tricks others have posted and tried to reset the accounts up again.  I left one of my iMacs using Mavericks and have no problems.  Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Howdy Kidbonz,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Take a look at the article linked below, it provides a lot of great troubleshooting suggestions that’ll resolve most issues like the one you’re seeing when sending emails on your iMac after upgrading to OS X Yosemite.

  • Sub-account cannot send email from Apple Mail

I've tried setting up two sub-accounts to send/receive email but no matter what I try, these accounts error out on sending email.  Looks like they aren't recognized by smtp server.  Is there a different setting for sub-accounts?

I fixed my problem - I deleted my email account on my iPhone, then tried to setup a new account. I had a few problems setting it up. It wouldn't recognize the incoming or outgoing servers and I lost my email altogether for a few hours. Then I changed every setting possible and finally figured out that I had 2-3 "Other SMTP Servers" as well as my "Primary Server". Once I deleted the Other SMTP Servers, my email worked and i'm able to send emails now!
I also think changing the "Server Port" number helped solve my problem also, and making sure "Use SSL" was turned off.

  • Cannot send report to desired email address

    Hi,
When an user tries to schedule a webi report in InfoView and send the report (as an attachment) to an manually entered email address, the report is always send to the default email address (of the adaptive Jobserver defaults).
The user schedules the webi report by rightclicking it in InfoView -> select schedule -> format and destinations-> select email recipients -> deselect Job server defaults ->enter email -> click on schedule
The default email address is the address entered in the CMC in servers -> adaptiveJobserver -> Destination.
All users are experiencing this problem, except for the (general) Administrators.
So I guess the problem is caused by insufficient rights. Obviously the question is which right I have to enable in order to make sure the report is delivered to the email address the user has entered.
    BTW, I'm using BO XI R3.1 FP1.3.
    Thanks a lot.

Hello rp02100 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Sorry to hear you're experiencing an issue with your email.
What type of email account are you using - Gmail, Yahoo, POP/IMAP, Hotmail? Does this only happen when you try to send to yourself using this email and to this email account?
If you have more than one email account, if you were to use a different email account and send yourself an email to another account, does this same issue happen?
    Thanks!
