Imac screen stops refreshing content and has to be restarted

Yesterday my iMac stopped refreshing the browser and other apps on the screen when changed or moved. I had to restart to get the screen back - unsure why - it works now for a few hours and then i have to go through this process?
Any ideas?

I believe your only option will be to get Apple to replace the screen for you, which won't be cheap. If the machine is still covered under warranty, you could try to push the case that the screen must be defective for a bug to get in there. Apple has been known to do free out-of-warranty service in some pretty unbelievable circumstances, that that is at their discretion, so be very pleasant and polite so they'll like you and want to help you out. But be prepared to have to pay for the repair.

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore.
Try all of these.

I pushed in the button on the top right corner. It turns a green light on and then it goes off. I held it in until it started blinking. It blinks for a bit and then the green light turns off. I am still not able to type my password. What should I do now?

Since restarting did not help, reset your iPhone, see: Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If that still does not solve it, check, if the contact you are trying to add is problematic. Try to save a different contact. Does that work?
If not, reinstall the Contacts app. This is only possible by restoring your iPhone, unfortunately.

21.5 mid-2011 iMac screen keeps glitching out and then eventually goes black.

At the end of August 2011 I purchased a 21.5-inch iMac and just last week (8 or so months later) the screen started to glitch everywhere and then eventually turned black. It has been happening quite regularly and has become quite an issue. Before then it had been running perfectly, and we had had no problems at all. However when the screen goes black (as if it was asleep) you could still hear things playing in the background (such as the noise that the volume key makes when you press it on the keyboard). We have eliminated all possible interference problems (turned off: wifi, phone's, TV, lamps and even the fish pump) and have also had it tested by license technicians for software and hardware issues (which came back clean). So then they replaced the screen thinking that was the only other possibility, and when we brought it back home it started to do it again. I have no idea anymore and I was hoping that someone could tell me what might be going on, otherwise I will get it replaced under extend Apple Care warranty.

IMac Screen it turn bight and dark in a second.

I had a problem with my iMac screen, sometime in a second my screen turn the bright to brightness and then turn darkness, bling bling ( please note that it not because of sensor of iMac depend on the light around) I felt there is something wrong with my VGA. My g5 imac will not turn on and has a flashing white light

Could somebody please advise me?
I tried to install RAM in my imac g5.
Unfortunately I purchased the wrong RAM so when I opened the bottom I took out the original RAM to compare the two and put the original (512mb) back in, closed the compartment and sealed the bottom with the two screws again.
When I tried to turn the imac back on the screen was blank and the white light in the bottom right hand corner was repeatedly flashing.

I had the same issue. Found another post that you need to push with surprising force with two thumbs. I did so, felt a slight click; started it and we're golden. Pulling the old RAM out though, I realized it has little tolerance for torque without jamming. So save the force for when you are certain you are in straight.

Hi, once in a while the screen on my 5K imac turns black and white when I'm on youtube watching videos in fullscreen mode. It also exits the fullscreen mode automatically from one second to the next and a warning pops up saying how I can exit the fullscreen mode.
