Apple has not published anything additional for users to figure out the heat limits of these devices. If you suspect the machine is overheating because self-shutting down/restarting, or a hardware test that fails, take it in for service.

  • Fetching data for a specific operating unit

    Hi All,
I want to apply a check in my query wherein the query fetches data only for a specific operating unit.
Eg : If the concurrent program is run from a US responsibility then it should fetch data only for US and if it is run from Canada responsibility then it should fetch data only for Canada.
Please advice what profile option check or any other check do I need to put in my query.
I am using org_organization_definitions table in my query, will this table be of any help for the same.
    I am using 11i version.

  • Can we maintain division specific credit limits?

    Hi All,
we have one company code & one Cr.Control area.
but we have 2 sales areas.
    eg: 1000/10/AA &
    1000/10/BB.
My client wants to maintain division specific credit limits like
    div:AA- $4000
    & BB- $6000.
Total Credit control area limit -$10000.
in FD32- we can maintain customer/cr.control area specific limits only.
Can we maintain division specific?if yes, where can we enter 2 different limits to same customer.
    plzz reply asap.
    *reward points sure

Sol'n:  for all those who would like to know, what we have adopted is,
We create Sales area wise Credit control areas & assigned to respective sales area in IMG as well as in CMR.
we have assigned multiple credit control areas to a single comp code
( IMG - FI - AR/AP- Credit Management - Credit Control account - Assign Permitted Cr.control areas for Comp code)
    then,
    In FD32-
Maintained Customer credit sheet as desired such as
    Cr.Control -1 = $4000
    Cr.Control - 2 = $6000
But the thing is we have to manually monitor these limits at the time of FD32 creation ( what is max credit limit we are offering, how much is allocated for particular Cr.Control area which means division)
    Hope it helps in understanding.
    any more plz revert

  • I have an iMac, 2015 model. operating on OS X 10.10.2 and whenever I click on just about everything in safari it opens a new tab with an ad on it. sometimes the ads are mackeeper or video hosting sites but they are just so annoying.

I have an iMac, 2015 model. operating on OS X 10.10.2 and whenever I click on just about everything in safari it opens a new tab with an ad on it. sometimes the ads are mackeeper or video hosting sites but they are just so annoying.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem. You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware. Follow Apple Support's instructions to remove it.
If you have trouble following those instructions, see below.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. This procedure works as of now, as far as I know. It may not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.
The VSearch malware tries to hide itself by varying the names of the files it installs. To remove it, you must first identify the naming pattern.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons
    In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "LaunchDaemons" may open. Look inside it for two files with names of the form
              com.something.daemon.plist
    and
               com.something.helper.plist
Here something is a variable string of characters, which can be different in each case. So far it has always been a string of letters without punctuation, such as "cloud," "dot," "highway," "submarine," or "trusteddownloads." Sometimes it's a meaningless string such as "e8dec5ae7fc75c28" rather than a word. Sometimes the string is "apple," and then you must be especially careful not to delete the wrong files, because many built-in OS X files have similar names.
If you find these files, leave the LaunchDaemons folder open, and open the following folder in the same way:
    /Library/LaunchAgents
In this folder, there may be a file named
              com.something.agent.plist
where the string something is the same as before.
If you feel confident that you've identified the above files, back up all data, then drag just those three files—nothing else—to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Close the Finder windows and restart the computer.
Don't delete the "LaunchAgents" or "LaunchDaemons" folder or anything else inside either one.
The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you never reinstall it. You can stop here if you like, or you can remove two remaining components for the sake of completeness.
    Open this folder:
    /Library/Application Support
If it has a subfolder named just
               something
where something is the same string you saw before, drag that subfolder to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Application Support" folder or anything else inside it.
    Finally, in this folder:
    /System/Library/Frameworks
there may an item named exactly
                v.framework
It's actually a folder, though it has a different icon than usual. This item always has the above name; it doesn't vary. Drag it to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Frameworks" folder or anything else inside it.
If you didn't find the files or you're not sure about the identification, post what you found.
If in doubt, or if you have no backups, change nothing at all.
The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
    or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
    if it's not already checked.

  • Posting to AX by specific Operating Unit

I would like to know if anybody knows if it is possible in AX (Global Accounting Engine) to select a specific Operating Unit instead of select "All" in this field so I can post to a specific set of books by that specific operating unit.
I have the situation where I have multiple operating units posting to the same and unique Corporate set of books and then I have a separate statutory set of books where I will post the data for specific operatin unit. Do I have to create separate corporate set of books for each operating unit so I will have one to one posting? Or can I have the option of selecting the operating unit I want to be posted to each statutory set of books?
    Thanks

  • IMac 27" screen/operating issues

Hoping for insight.  I have an iMac 27" that is a couple years old.  Operated perfectly since purchase.  A few days ago it started turning itself off and restarting without any pattern, I could be online or just in Mail.  Then whilst online with Safari the entire screen display became patterned with little boxes about a quarter inch apart (with the screen understandable but with a matrix pattern on it) and completely covered the screen, the mouse cursor would move but was ineffective.  Then it shut down/turned off and did not restart.  I restarted it and it looked fine.  I checked all the typical things, ran verifies and the like, reset PRAM and the Apple Hardware Test.  Discovered bad RAM, pulled it, restarted with remaining good RAM, ran the test with no trouble found.  I am ordering new RAM.  I have been operating with the remaining 2 GB of RAM since but since pulling out the bad RAM I have had the pixilated little square dot display problem (but not the shut downs) so I am wondering if I have deeper problems than the RAM.  I have pictures of the screen with the pattern on it but am clueless as to how to add them to this plea.

  • New Core 2 Duo iMac Memory specification confusion

I'm confused about the memory specification for the new iMac (late 2006). In the article 303084, it says that the new iMac models, other than 17 " model, accept DDR2 PC2 5300 667Mhz SO DIMM. But in the other article ( 304284 ), it says that the memory is DDR2 PC2 5400 667Mhz SO DIMM. So which one does it take? I'm just about to pick up the new iMac tomorrow and I already have 2 sticks of 1GB of DDR 5300 lying around. Can I use these 2 sticks in the new iMac? The brand of the memory is Samsung. Are they compatible with the new iMac? For all you guys out there who upgraded the memory in the new iMac, which brand do you use? I live in Australia, so brands like Crucial and OWC are hard to find. The popular local brands here Samsung, Corsiar, Twin Mos and Kingmax. I bought the Samsung from a friend who pulled them out from a Dell Laptop which he hated and sold it after a week of ownership. Now he's a proud owner a new Macbook Pro with 2GB of RAM installed from the factory. I would like to a make good use of these 2 Samsung RAMs. Thank you.

    P'Boy,
No worries. The PC2-5400 that appears in the article you cite is a misprint. The iMac Core 2 Duo takes PC2-5300 memory. I have the new Core 2 Duo and verified this by looking at the memory modules. While PC2-5400 may well work in the iMac Core 2 Duo, PC2-5300 is the type of memory specified by Apple to work with this computer.
Samsung is a fine brand, and is one of the brands used by Apple, so it should function just fine. Cosair is another fine brand, though I have not had occasion to use Cosair memory in a Mac (I've used it in a number of PCs).
Bottom line. Your Samsung PC2-5300 modules should work just fine. Enjoy your new Core 2 Duo!

  • Optimal iMac GPU Specifications

It seems clear from the chatter on several Apple-related forums that the Aperture software takes advantage of the GPU, not the CPU.
If that is true, when I buy a new iMac, should I pay the extra $200 to get the 780m GPU with 4mb of video RAM?
Or will the 775m GPU with 2Mb of video RAM do an adequte job?
The most intensive application of the computer will be Apple Aperture.

I'm pretty sure the OS and the app are well-enough engineered to use whatever is available.

This is a misleading syllogism.  The default GPU is adequate.  You might still pay $200 more for to upgrade it.
In my experience, it's always worth bumping up the initial configuration as a hedge against early obsolescence.  $200 spent now might give you 8 months more use from the machine in three years.  By all means put at least 16 GB of RAM in it.
I do think Retina-resolution displays are an unstoppable force, and that anyone working in photography is going to need one sooner rather than later.

In ELM, under Enterprise Learning> Enroll Learner, when try to add more than one learner log in with a specific user, session terminates without any error message.

Looks like You totally misunderstand the IN() clause.
In your scenario resulting query looks like
... in ( '24,25,29' ) - that's why You will never get result if two or more values comes from function.
    Two solutions:
    1) You can put values in the temporary table or table pl/sql and rewrite query appropriate way:
... in (select value from my_temp_table)
... in (select value from table(my_plsql_table))
    2) While using 10g, You can format regexp pattern instead of 'val1,val2,val3' and use
    ... regexp_like(FUNCTION_ACTIVITY_ID, PATTERN)

  • Selecting max date for specific 'operation' code

I have the following scenario: a history table that keeps track of the 'operation' and the date of the operation. For example, the operation field can have a code of U (for update), C (for closed), O (for re-opened), A (for approved), etc.
The goal of this history table is to keep track of all of the modifications made. Hence, a particular record of interest can have more than one 'U' operation documented, C operation, etc.
How can I choose the max date for each operation.
I was diong the following in my PL/SQL:
    BEGIN
    SELECT operation_code, o_date, user INTO lv_operation_code, lv_date, lv_user FROM table1 WHERE unique_id = pv_id AND operation_code = U' AND o_date = (SELECT max(o_date) FROM table1 WHERE unique_code = pv_id);
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND THEN NULL;
    END;
I then have another begin statement for the 'C' operation, etc.

Instead of doing a single SELECT with something like "operation_code = 'U'" in the WHERE-clause, you could write a cursor with "GROUP BY operation_code".

  • Getting specific operating system details

    hello
I'm trying to make a detailed report about the operating system.
    Some details i already know:

  • Transferring my old imac to my new imac.. specifically bootcamp

Do I need to install bootcamp again? or will it all migrate over to my new imac?
I'm trying to figure out if I have to start saving my data from my windows partition and find my Windows CD with serial number? any ideas?

My mistake... I misread your question. There is an extra step you need to do. WinClone (freeware) will be required before you complete your Mac OS X transfers. WinClone runs on OS X and will be able to move your partition flawlessly. It's not as bad as reinstalling everything, though. Good luck.

  • Specific application (Accufund) slow to perform specific operation (Report)

I am running Terminal Services on a Windows 2008 R2 dedicated box operating in an AD domain network.  The server is extremely fast in doing most operations (logins take a fraction of a second to complete, applications open very promptly, file and folder
listings are extremely fast, etc.)  There are never more than half a dozen simultaneous TS sessions running.  Users have their own local profiles on the TS machine.
Our accountant uses a product called Accufund, and its operations are generally quite fast as well.  However, when Accufund is asked to generate a report, it presents a dialog box to select the report.  Anyplace other than via the TS box,
it takes one or two seconds at most for the Select Report dialog box to appear when selected from the menu.  On the terminal Server this can takes anywhere from 4 to 5 minutes.
At one point in time, we determined that if the user has connected to TS with any local printers attached to the session, the Select Report delay would appear, but if she began a session without importing local printers, there was no Select Report delay
at all. This squares a bit with the vendor's assertion that the program is polling for printers before it presents the dialog box, and it may have difficulty if there are any local printers attached to the session.
Most recently, it appears that if local printers are attached to the TS session we have a 4-5 minute delay in reaching the dialog box, and if local printers are not attached, the delay is about 90 seconds.  The numbers do not seem linked to
how many users are logged on at the time.
I should mention that once the dialog box appears, all the rest of the reporting process goes smoothly and quickly whether or not local printers are attached.
I have applied the hotfix mentioned in  KB2655998 that removes the accumulation of idle TS ports (and I had many hundreds of them accumulated), but that had no effect on this
    issue.
I feel like this is an issue with the Accufund software, but the developer claims that they have many clients using RDP, citrix, etc who do not have these issues and they leave it as my problem.
Can anyone suggest a troubleshooting direction I can take, or list of things to check to be able to bolster my case with the vendor?
    Thanks very much,
    Peter

    Hi,
There seems to be general overview of your case, might this may be the case.
It seems software is using a printer driver that is located on a network print server, instead of a local printer driver on your hard disk. When you use a remote printer driver, you may notice that it takes longer to change your default printer setting, and
sometimes that software may perform more slowly than you may expect.
Software (accufund) is installed on your computer, but software was once running from the network. When the computer is not connected to the network, there is a long delay when you are opening reports.
For this you can try to reinstall the printer driver by using local port, either repair\replace the reports and check the result.
Re-install printer driver using local port.
    1. In the Printers dialog box (click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers), double-click Add Printer. When the Printer Wizard appears, click Next.
    2. Click to select Local Printer, and then click Next.
    3. Click Create a new port, select Local Port in the Type box, and then click Next.
    4. Type the network share name for the printer in the Port Name box. For example, type \\Server name\My printer, and then click OK.
Click Next, select your printer manufacturer and model from the list, and then follow the remaining steps in the wizard to reinstall your Windows printer driver.
Click Next, and then use the disk that was provided by your printer manufacturer, and then install it according to the installation instructions. For more information about how to install the printer driver that was provided with your printer, please contact
    your printer manufacturer.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.
