IMac was stolen, not sure if find my Mac was turned on
My imac was stolen. I use icloud on it, but I'm not sure if the find my mac app was turned on. I logged into iCloud, and clicked on find my iphone. My imac is listed on there, but it says it is offline. I marked for it to notified me when it is online. My question is: Can I assume that the app is turned on since it showed up in my list of devices under Find My iPhone, or does it list all devices connect through iCloud?

But before you give up, read tonefox post above. I am assuming that 4.3.1 is the iOS that's on the phone. If that is the case, he couldn't have find my iPhone or iCloud. They need iOS 5.

My MacBook Pro was stolen less than a week ago, and I'm not sure if the hard drive was wiped, if it was wiped would I still be able to find it with the findiphone app? Or would it be untraceable after it was wiped? Can i erase my stolen macbook pro with find my mac even if it states the device was locked on a specific date (not by me) after being stolen?
Barry, the other stolen computer, my IMac does not show me a locked on such and such date, but simply says offline. I set that computer to erase when it goes online and notify me when it is found, and to play a tone and play a message that the police are on their way!

Did you activate the Find My Mac feature in iCloud when you still had the Mac? If not, there's pretty much no way. Report it to the police and your insurance.

If you enabled Find My iPhone on it before it was lost and it is connected to the internet, you can try to track it on icloud.com as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmfc0f2442. If you didn't enable Find My iPhone on it before it was lost, there is no way to track it.

First, if you have an iCloud backup of your stolen phone, you can restore a replacement phone or another iOS deivce to your iCloud backup. This would restore the photos from the backup to the device, along with your other data and settings. You restore to an iCloud backup during the initial device setup. If the device is already set up your have to erase it by going to Settings>General>Reset and tapping Erase All Content and Settings, then go back through the initial setup screens, and when given the option choose Restore from iCloud Backup.
If your photos were in your photo stream, you can either sync another iOS device with your iCloud account and turn on photo stream, or you can sync your computer with your iCloud account and turn on photo stream, as outlined here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html. This would allow you to access any photos that still remain in your photo stream. (However, photos are only saved in photo stream for 30 days. Any photos older than 30 days would be lost.) -
Tried to upgrade os4 to os7 but could not due to "find my iphone" still turned on.
Could not turn it off at that stage so set up as new iphone. Now icloud will only accept past id email address and password which i no longer have,
but itunes on my phone has my correct current id and password. I need to restore my back up from itunes, i did not use icloud.

I have looked at icloud.com/find numerous times and my iPad is not showing at all (see picture below). As I said I did turn off 'Find My iPhone' on my iPad and then erase all settings and data before taking it to the repair centre.
The gentleman at the repair centre said that the device won't restore because "Apple thinks that 'Find My iPhone' is still turned on" (I'm repeating what he said). -
My ipod was stolen. Can i find with the GPS? If not is there any other way?
My ipod touch was stolen out of my locker. I have all things to prove its my ipod touch. (original box & serial number) I was hoping that it could be tracked by the GPS or some other method. I hope so because I do not have money to buy another one. Plus it was a gift from someone special so i would like to get this back. If you have any other methods please let me know. Daughter changed her passcode then forgot the passcode. Tried to restore iphone but could not since "find my iphone" was enabled. Cant shut it off because i cant log into device. Stuck, need help. Not sure where to go from here.

I had my ipad air stolen and tried using the "find my ipad app" only to realize it won't even track it unless it it hooked to wi-fi! I am sure thieves figure out how to use it even with my pass code on. Is there ANY thing else that can b done to track it? Serial number possibly? Please please anyone with info please help!
No, there is no other way to track it. If you have a pass code set and are using iOS 7.x.x then the thieves simply have a bricked iPhone that is useless to them.
