my hard drive has been formated but when i try 2 install os x disc 1 it say can't install or goes 2 blue screen whit a wheel spining i've left it spin 4 about 2 hours and nothing happens can any 1 help??

If the files have been overwritten and you don't have a backup, they're gone.
If they have not been overwritten, then there are third-party apps (for example Techtool Pro 7 ) with data recovery functions that might be able to retrieve some or all of your files.

Actually, you can and have downloaded from there, because that message only happens when the download is finished.
The message is entirely normal, and is Apple's way of encouraging the world to use the Mac App Store. That doesn't help you because Acrobat isn't in the Mac App Store - it isn't allowed there.
So, what to do? Change your system settings

Problem with ichat, need help reinstalling.

Hey guys, I'm new to mac so I need a little help.
I did something last night to my comp and I'm not sure what it was. But when I click on the iChat icon it just comes up with a ? I search in spotlight and it's not there. I must have deleted it while getting rid of some other things. I don't have time machine and I need some help reinstalling. When I bought the mac it had Tiger and I still have those disc, but right now I have upgraded to Leopard. Where can I find iChat to reinstall? I looked on the iLife section of the Tiger discs but I couldn't find it. Any info will help.

I downloaded pacifist and got ichat to reinstall from my Tiger 10.4.9 disc, however, now when I try to open iChat it says, You cannot use the application “iChat” with this version of Mac OS X. I have leopard 10.5.2. Does anyone know how to update the version I have? I use the mac updater but it doesn't find anything.

IMac: Install Java 7 need help!

Hello, I've an iMac with the newest software version, I want to install java 7 on it for a game server, but when I download it from java.com and I install it and start the server, it still says: Computer on java 6, update to 7 to run server. I already tryed to install with Terminal and direct acess to System Library, it shows that java 7 is installed, but I have to delete java 6. When I delete all java versions, apple says I have to install java SE6, what isn't java 7 but java 6! Help please!!!

The Oracle JRE is only a web plugin. If you need server-side Java, you'll have to use the Apple-supplied Java 6 runtime, or else the Oracle JDK (which is not a drop-in replacement for Apple's Java.) If your server application depends on Java 7, you'll most likely have to run it on another operating system.

BB Desktop Manager no longer works with Mac Maverick - Need Help Urgently

I have been a loyal Blackberry user since the Government of Canada officially began using these cell phones. I feel, however, abandoned by Blackberry (they obviously don't believe that it is easier to retain an existing customer than acquire a new one). I'm using a Blackberry Bold (9900) with a Macbook Pro. Everything was fine until I upgraded my Mac operating system to Maverick; my Blackberry Desktop Manager no longer works, so I cannot sync the content (contacts, calendar) of my phone with my Mac, but that's not the worst of it.
I recently had a momentary lapse and exceeded the 10 password attempts to access my phone... this accidentally wiped my phone clean... and because Desktop Manager does not work with Mac, I do not have a way to recover my data. Rogers was of no help and had Blackberry updated its desktop software months ago, as it should have, this issue would have been moot. I do not know how or why, but I was able to recover most of my data, but I'm not sure just how up-to-date tha data is and am still going through it, but I'm having issues with some functionality.
I'm in the US for several months and have suspended my Canadian services. Prior to the wipe, I was able to use wifi on my phone to send and receive emails with no problem. After the wipe, I can't send emails or bbms. I checked my blackberry internet service and all email accounts are good to go. BBMs are another issue. I need help. Suggestions please.

Apple has ceased synchronization with Mavericks. The issue lies with Apple, not with the desktop software. To mitigate the lack of sync capabilities in Mavericks you can sync your contacts and calender on your Mac with the usual suspects (Yahoo, Google). Create a backup (archive) for Contacts and Calender on your Mac first, then create one of those email accouonts that allow syncing. On your 9900 and with BlackBerry provisioning enabled create the new or existing email account. See which email accounts can sync with BB, I know Yahoo is working fine. For Yahoo, get the Yahoo Calender sync (a few bucks one-off payment required), Contacts sync works off the shelf within BB. If you reset the 9900 you should be able to restore all data with BB DTM. Please note that emails you received during the 9900 reset and the date of restore will not be available on the device. You will still not be able to sync contacts/calender over BB DTM. I hope that helps.

Imac with 2 cinema displays, help.

I currently have a intel based imac 17" the one with the camera on top.
Hooked up with that i have a 20" apple cinema display, aluminium one.
I will shortly be upgrading to the aluminium 24" imac.
I have just bought a second 20" apple cinema display so i can have 3 screens.
My first display is connected by the mini display port to my 17" iMac,
What adapters will i need for the second display to work with this imac as well.
then when i upgrade to the 24" iMac will i need different adapters?
Also I have my 24" iMac already but it needs a graphics card... Which one should i use and how much are they?

So you need to delete entries in SM13/LBWQ for application and also detup table content.
And then refill teh set up table.
If you are in production clear the entries by running collective run no of times for this application 04.

Serious Issue with Linkage..Need help ASAP!

OK, I have big deadline for Monday and I can't figure this
out. I have a bunch of movieclips that are set up with linkage for
actionscript and set to export in first frame. Everything was fine
and dandy for a week. Now all of a sudden Flash hangs when I try to
export the swf. If I turn off the export in first frame everything
is fine. The problem then is that my move clips aren't available
for the attachmovie call. What I don't understand is why it was
fine, then all of a sudden this happened for no apparent reason.
Has anyone got a workaround or solution for this? I need help with
this ASAP. Thanks.

Sadly nothing you can do. The file must be corrupted.
sometimes files that need saving corrupt themselves (product of
voltage variations or some other physical things) making some
objects "BAD", maybe you can save your work if you determine what
is the only object that is corrupting all the file and delete and
and redraw it.

some files accedently got deleted and are scattered across my computer and flash drive i just need to reinstall it all together

Make a new catalog using the Organizer menu:
File >> Manage Catalogs >> New
Choose a new name like MyCatalog2
Choose to import free music (the mp3 tracks for use with slideshows and full screen viewing) and click OK.
When the new catalog opens it will be blank so you can start importing from your folder locations.
