IMAC won't print, MSG says no themes available

When in IPHOTO, it will not print a picture. A window opens that says "no theme available."

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • Imac won't print to epson 1270

My imac won't print, stating that there is not enough RAM.
It is running 640mb, 100% of which is available to Photoshop.
This happens to both the 1270 and my R200. the OS is 10.3.9.
My ibook is more than happy to print to both printers despite only having 128mb of Ram!
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    You're Welcome Gari!
The driver on the disc may be outdated. Did you uninstall the older driver before trying to install the newer, downloaded one?
If nothing else resolves the problem, and you need help doing that, I can post the instructions.
"...stating that there is not enough RAM."
OS X uses Dynamic Memory Allocation, so I am puzzled that you are getting that message.
What is the exact error message?
How much of the RAM is original, and how much is added?
Is Classic running when you are trying to print?
Do the printers function from any applications, other than Photoshop?
You can also use Rember to test your RAM.
"My ibook is more than happy to print to both printers..."
Are you printing from Photoshop with the iBook?
Have you deleted the printers from the Printer List in Printer Setup Utility, and then re-added them?
Have you trashed the printer & Photoshop pref files from:
HD > Users > Your Account > Library > Preferences: HERE?
Sorry for all of the questions. I'm just trying to explore all of the possibilities, to get a better understanding of the situation.

  • IMac won't print to Dell B1160W

I have just bought a new Dell B1160W.
My sisters iMac (identical to mine but she has an earlier OS X) can print fine, but whenever I try to print - it says "Printing - Printer is ready to print", the printer wakes up, but then an error message - "Printing - Print file was not accepted"
This message comes up regardless of what I try to print.
I have sent all of these docs, to my sister, and then she can print them no problem!
I assume the issue is with with OS X Version 10.8.4 as its obviously not the iMac itself, and the printer works just fine with her iMac and with my PC.
    Any ideas how to resolve?

    Hi ..
I tried finding printer drivers for you to download from the Dell site but nothing for the B116OW comes up  \from a search on their site > Product Selection | Dell
    Maybe you'll have better luck.
What you need to do is download drivers that are compatible with Mac OS X v10.8.
Then open System Preferences > Print & Scan > Print
Then click + to add the printer.

  • My 24" iMac won't read audio cds--ejects them after about 15 seconds

My 24" intel iMac won't read audio cds. It ejects them after about 15 seconds. I have virtually never played cds on this machine in five years. It plays dads with no problem. Anybody have any feedback. I also saw a fix by deleting some presence files.

I saw this on a forum from about four years ago:
    Trash the following folders:
    com.apple.kernelcaches (from System/Library/Caches
    extensions.kextcache (from System/Library
    CDInfo.cidb (from Home/Library/Preferences
    Restart
    Could this be a fix.
Unfortunately, I can't reset PRAM. I've done it a thousand times over twenty years, but my machine simply boots up without the extra chimes.

  • IMac won't print black on EPSON or HP Printer

I have had a reoccuring problem where my iMac (Intel) running Mac OS X 10.8 will not print black type on my HP printer. First, I assumed it was an ink issue, and replaced the black ink cartridge. The problem remained. I downloaded new drivers and installed and still had the same problem. Cleaned heads, and still discovered black type will not print, while full-color images do. It got to the point where I assumed my printer was broken. So, I bought a new EPSON printer to replace it and am having the same problem. Re-installed EPSON drivers. Etc.
Now I have discovered if I save a file as a screenshot (PNG) it will print black. But will not print black off the Web, Numbers, Pages, etc.
Here's the kicker - I tried to print off my MacBook Air and encountered the same problem. Is the issue the printer or the OS?
I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ANY IDEAS AS TO WHY THIS WOULD BE?
The only thing common between the two printers is they both printed wirelessly.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Select "/var/log/cups/error_log" from the file list on the left side of the Console window. If you don't see that list, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar. Then select the messages from the time of the last failed printing attempt. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

  • Photosmart 7520 won't print black, says I have half a cartridge

My printer won't print black (regular, not photo black).  The ink level says I have half a cartridge.  I have tried cleaning the heads so many times but no change.  I tried to find an answer in the help section of HP and had no luck.  I tried to contact HP but was told because my printer was out of warranty in January I would have to pay to talk to someone.  Can anyone help?  I'm  disappointed in HP, charging people to talk to customer service is ridiculous.

The steps in the document here may help resolve black not printing on your Photosmart 7520 printer.  Be sure to check the vents as shown in Solution Six.
If the above does not resolve the issue then soaking the printhead as described in the post here may help.

  • My photosmart 5510 says online but won't print-message says unable to communicate with printer

My  printer says it's connected wirelessly, my computer says the printer is connected, all tests say it's connected wirelessly but when I go to print it says
Unable to communicate with printer -  printer unavailable or not connected.... might need to update IP address
The only way to reconnect it is to turn off router and then back on again, but I have to do this every time I leave the printer for more than a few minutes.
Any help gratefully received before the thing goes through the window!

It sounds like the printer may be having a difficult time communicating on the network since rebooting the router seems to help.
What brand and model is the router?
Do you know if your network uses WEP or WPA security?
What operating system does the computer use?  This will be good to know if any steps need to be performed from the computer.

  • HO Deskjet 4625 won't print and says IP address 0.0.0.0

I have been printing wirelessly from my lap top, Ioad and phone for months. Last week the printer wouldn't shut down properly and I had to disconnect the electricity. From then on it wouldn't print from my mobile devices just my lap top. Scanned loads yesterday and then went to print. It wouldn't it said it couldn't communicate with my printer. I have turned the modem off and reset, turned the printer off and tried plugging the cable in nothing. When I check the IP address on the printer it says 0.0.0.0. Any suggestions I really need to print stuff today.

I bet the blue wireless light is off or blinking. It appears you are not connected to your routers SSID. You need to reconnect to your routers SSID with valid password.

  • IMac won't print to HP 7130

I can't say my HP7130 and iMac have been great from the start, the queue has often stopped for no reason and failed to restart despite being asked to do so. An iMac restart usually moved the queue but no more!
I cannot get the print queue to move; the printer is there, the iMac sees it but every job just stops and sits there. HP driver reinstalled from original CD and from download but no effect.
