IMac won't read software installer disk, can anyone help?
I have an old imac (grape 99-2000) it was equipped with ethernet and i was told to get an ethernet wireless bridge, however the software for the wireless bridge won't open with my current OS 10.1 operating system, is there certain software i need in order to be able to access this? Can anyone help? Thank you!
You don't need software at all and most manufactures don't bother with Apple compatible setup software. Instead search the manual for set up instructions for Mac operating systems. Basically you will be setting up your bridge by talking to it through a browser (Netscape, Explorer, etc.) by typing in an address to get to the bridge's internal menus.
Which bridge device is it?

There is no 4.2.3 and over-the-air updating was introduced with iOS 5.0.
You will need to connect your iPhone to the computer you sync with. When iTunes opens click on the name of your iPhone under DEVICES on the far left frame. Move to the Summary tab to the right and click on the Update button. -

Bootcamp won't read windows installer disk
hey guys, I have a macbook pro, I just downloaded windows 7 from microsoft, I burned a dvd with the files and I partitioned my disk, but i can't install the windows because bootcamp won't read the disk. I get the following message: the installer disk cannot be found. Insert your windows installer disk and wait a few minutes ti be recognized...
What is wrong?If it's an .iso, you need to open it in Disk Utility, then burn it from there. If you just put a bunch of files onto optical media, then it won't boot. You need to use something like Roxio Toast to burn a bootable disk from files. It knows what needs to be added and how the files should be arranged.
I've found that with Windows stuff, I'm better off using a Windows utilitiy that understands Windows booting. I use CDBurner XP. It works great and is free. -

Hi, I have a Compaq Presario C500 Laptop with Windows Vista installed. For the past year, I've been trying to upgrade from Adobe Reader version 8 to either a version 9 or 10. However, when I download and begin the installation, I always get two error messages:
The first one is the error 1402 could not open key. The registry path is HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\Software\Classes\PDFShellServer.PDFShelllnfo2\CurVer. Verify you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personnel.
The second one occurs when it retrys: It say error 1402 could not open key. The registry path is HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\Software\Classes\AcroAccess.AcrobatAccess\CurVer. Verify you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personnel.
I went to the troubleshooting page and followed the instructions given. But when I go into the Permissions area and do as the instructions say, regardless whether I click Apply or OK, I get a Windows Security message saying - Unable to set new owner on Cur Ver, Access is denied.
This does this no matter how many times I repeat the instructions for troubleshooting. Can anyone recommend another possible solution? First be sure you run RegEdit as Administrator
Right click the key in the left hand pane ... select permissions from the context menu
In the permissions dialog, click the advanced button.
In the advanced security settings dialog switch to the Owner tab
I assume your usercode is a member of the local Administrators group
Click the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects box.
If Administrators is NOT the owner, select it in the change owner to box...press Apply...OK.
You are now back at the Permissions dialog box.
Select Administrators and give them Full control by selecting the Full Control checkbox in the Allow column...press Apply ... Ok
It has been a while since I have had to do this ... so I might be off a little on the steps.
The key is IGNORE any messages that say you don't have enought rights...
You must do each key... one at a time....:) -

Try the above.
No luck then you should do
A1 .. Load the widget so you know what TM is doing.
A4 .. Reset of TM.
A5.. Verify the backup.
First thing.. though.. do a full network reboot..
Turn off everything.. restart the modem.. wait 2min.
Restart the TC.. wait 2min
Restart the computer. See if it now functions.
You might have to reset or do more severe stuff.. but try with that.

Looking for hp dv9810us vista 64 bit recovery disk. can anyone help please?
I have searched my product for the recovery disks and HP should actually have them. But on the support/software page for my laptop they did not have the link. I also have a dv2 which is much older and was able to order the recovery disks. I am in serious need of the HP Pavilion Dv9810us Vista Home Premium 64 bit recovery disks if anyone can help.
I dont understand something else either. The dv2 that I own also had upgrading to windows7 drivers and such on the product support page for my dv2. Odd that this dual core laptop that is much more advanced does not.DV9810us came with Vista 32bit I believe.I have the smaller 14.1" version(dv2810us) and it came with 32bit. MBA no longer reads the external drive - can anyone help?
Hi
My MBA no longer reads the external iOmega HD. I use the iOmega to store all my files and for the TimeMachine.
My old Powerbook G4 continues can read it so it's not a problem with the external drive. Also, the MBA can read another external drive that I have. So the problem is specific to this MBA and iOmega drive. I suspect, but am not sure that the problem is due to a recent system update.
Can anyone figure what went wrong?

is the drive being powered from the usb port? perhaps it is just on the limit of the power the mba can supply, can you try it with an external power supply? -
i downloaded firefox to see if it would load a website i was trying to go on, but it didn't so now i want to delete it off my macbook, i have tried to drag it from the applications and drag it to the trash bin but i would not go. i'm desperate can anyone please help me?
