Image adjustments not exported

Why are my image adjustments not exported with the images?

The adjustments included: exposure, clarity, saturation, vibrance and tone curve. I was using the export feature.

LR 4b exposure adjustments not exporting to Photoshop

I really like the new basic controls in LR4b Develop module, but I cannot get the exposure adjustments to export to Photoshop CS5. Either using the Command-E or Export to Photoshop CS5 command gets the straight out of camera rendition in terms of exposure. Saturation, Contrast, Clarity etc. adjustments from LR export fine but the basic exposure adjustments do not.
Anyone else out there having this issue? Any suggested fix?

It sounds like this is not a bug but a built-in limitation. Until some sort of Camera Raw update is released, I guess I willl go back to LR 3.6 as my primary working tool. I will miss those lovely renderings though and although I could do the 'convert to PSD first' method for the odd image, that is a major work flow issue for me.

Image adjustments not staying??

Hi helpers!
I have come across a strange problem in Photoshop CS4 - I am trying to increase the contrast in some greyscale line drawings, however no matter if I adjust using levels, curves, exposure - it always appears OK as I'm using the slider bars but when I click OK the image returns to it's original state.
I've tried saving as a PSD, TIFF, JPG, tried saving as CMYK., creating a new layer....
Never come across this before...any help much appreciated!

I have been since able to change contrast but only by going into the Window/Adjustments panel which
does not require an OK click to confirm changes.
Glad the images have been fixed but still can't understand why I can't keep the changes in my usual Image/Adjustments way of doing things.

Image Adjustments Not Saved with DNG?

It appears that the adjustments (i.e. all of the work you do to "develop" your pictures) are not saved with the image file. They appear to be saved in the LR Library. So if anything happens to your library, your developing work is gone. I thought my adjustments were saved with the DNG, but this does not appear to be the case.
So, to be sure that my work is saved with the image, it appears that the processed files must be saved to a different format like JPG, TIFF, or PSD. With JPG quality is lost, and your ability to edit is severely compromised. With PSD and TIFF, you have another copy of extremely large files to deal with.
Is my understanding correct?
What are your suggestions to deal with this?

You confirm the critical point that your work is saved in the Library, and the Library must be closely supervised and backed up.
Beside my on-site backups, I set up a Stuffit schedule to back up a daily version of my library. My current library is 57.6MB and Stuffit compresses it to 8.7MB and automatically FTPs it to my web site for archiving.
I found that my 2GB file of previews is unnecessary, since my computer creates new previews almost as quickly as it reads the preview file, at least on a folder basis. So, I removed my preview files, and I have them saved for only one day in prefrences.
For my DNGs, beside my on-site backups, I create a DNG with the RAW (NEF) file embedded and back them up on my web site. Then I create DNGs with Adobe DNG converter, without embedded RAWs (LR embeds the RAWs)to use for my working files.
One of the reasons I decided to use DNGs is to avoid having separate XMP files. However, it sounds like you can export the XMP to the DNG without creating separate XMPs. I'll look in to that. I assume that exporting the XMPs to the DNGs will allow me to open them directly in CS2 (not by exporting from LR) or other programs with my adjustments intact. This would solve the problem of losing adjustments if the Library becomes dysfunctional.

RAW image date not exporting

Hi there
Currently I shoot everything as JPG, but would like to start using RAW on my Canon 300D. I have done a few trials, and find one thing perplexing – if I shoot in RAW the image date shows up in Aperture. When I export and add the exported JPG to my iView catalog, no Capture Date (image date equivalent) shows up. When I do the exact same steps after shooting in JPG, the Capture Date appears without any problem.
Is there a way to have the image date added to the metadata of the exported image?

I'm not sure about this but the problem may be that there are different "flavors" of EXIF data. I believe there's a basic set of data that all camera manufactures have agreed to and then there's custom EXIF data specific to a camera, lens, strobe, or manufacturer.
It may be that Apple has chosen to only support the generic flavor(s) of data while ignoring the custom ones. I think that's why cell phone syncing with Address Book only gets some data to the phone. Pictures, groups, and the like are probably different for every phone and Apple decided not to support it. But I don't know that with certainty.

It's a great tool and shows me more data for my Cannon camera's images than Canon's own software does.

Image is not exporting to PDF correctly

When I export my document, everything exports fine except one image. It has been doing this with multiple images, as I've changed the image a couple of times to make sure that the image wasn't corrupted. Why would it be doing this?

Okay, I figured out what was making it be strange. It seems that if I don't change the transparency or add any effects, it'll show up perfectly fine in the export; otherwise, if I do anything to it within effects, it won't show up on any document. It seems to just be the nature of the picture; I wonder if it has to do with it being transparent? Either way, I fixed the problem and am just going to use the picture without effects, as it looks better that way anyway. Thank you though!

LR4 Not Holding Adjustments on Export

I'm not sure if this has been reported yet? I have noticed that adjustments to images in LR4 are not being retained on Export.
Specifically, an image appearing to be correctly exposed after adjustments and while still in Lightroom 4, appears brighter and lacking in shadow adjustments on Export and uploading to facebook. My guess is that shadow adjustments have been lost on Export?
Does anyone know if this is a known issue?

I just tried it again with another image and it seemed to Export all of the adjustments. Previously, I needed to add about 25 points more blacks to get the same result on in Facebook as I had in Lightroom 4. This time, it appears to be as it was prior to export. I'm wondering if there are certain adjustments (or certain amounts of adjustments) that are not "holding"?

Images will not display on Export to PDF

I have a BOXi Web Intelligence Document that displays two images that are 7kb each.
The Text for one of the objects is set to:

That object is set to read the text as:
Image URL
The images display on the report in web intelligence but they do not export to PDF when I select save to my computer as PDF.
Any help on this would be a great help!!

The behavior experienced by you is quite strange.
When we save the document with image as Excel, the image goes missing and this is a known limitation but we can save it successfully to PDF.
Suggest you to check for the Adobe version.
You can also follow these steps:
follow these steps to correctly redefine the object so that it appears on each page:
1. Open the report.
2. In the report, right-click on the image and go to Format Cell > "Alignment" tab.
3. Check the option "Repeat On Every Page" and then click "Ok".
4. Click on the dotted line representing the position of the header is and drag it down slightly.
5. Go to Insert > Cell, insert a cell in the header of the report, and enter text in the cell.
6. Right-click on the cell and go to Format Cell > "Appearance" tab and check the option "Hide Cell".
7. Drag the header back into its original position.

Will not export all images to folder

We are having a problem with LR not exporting all of the images when saving to a folder. It errors on some images and will not save them. All of the images are available and LR will export a web photo gallery with all of the images without any problems. Am I missing something?

I have imported my iPhoto library onto Aperture, and then deleted the iPhoto library so not to have any duplicates. Now, the images on Aperture are pixelated and when I try to export them the following message appears: "Unavailable master images cannot be exported.The selected master image is either offline or not found. Please reconnect it and try again." What does this mean? How can I get my photos "online" so that I can see them as they used to be?

How did you import your iPhoto Library? I assume, you used "File > Import > iPhoto LIbrary", but how did you set the "Store Files" pop-up menu?
If you chose to "Store Files in their current location", then you did not actually import the master image files into Aperture, but referenced them inside the iPhoto Library. In that case, you just deleted all your images, when you deleted the iPhoto Library. And if you did that, and your iPhoto Library is still sitting in the Trash, put it back; then your Aperture Library should work again. Or restore the iPhoto Library from your most recent backup and put it into the exactly same location where it used to be.
If you used a different "Store Files" setting, please explain where you have chosen to store the master image files. This will help to track down your images.
After restoring your master image files you may need to reconnect them to the versions. Post back, if you need help with that.

I have reinstalled CS5.1 extended on my new Lenovo Laptop with Win 8.1 64 bit. No installation problems, but now Image Adjustments and tools do not work any more.

Operating Problem with CS5.1 extended. I replaced my old HP Laptop with a new Lenovo laptop with Win 8.1 and reinstalled CS5.1 64-bit version. The software downloaded and installed correctly and worked for a day, but when I rebooted the next day, the Image Adjustments and tools functions did not respond any more. I have uninstalled and redownloaded/ reinstalled without success.

The software worked on the first day, problems appeared next day. I uninstalled and deleted the exe.file, then redownloaded and reinstalled but same problem persists.
I then downloaded and installed on my PC and everything works.

If you are seeing something overlayed on the exported image, this is probably not caused by the badges overlays, but by a watermark.
Check your export preset, if a watermark is enabled. In the "Export" panel set the "Export Preset" to "Edit" and check the settings for the preset you want to use. Disable any watermarks.
