Image and table size help

Hey all:
I'm obviously new to Dreamweaver MX, and I've been having
quite a problem with my banner at the top of my site. Using
photoshop, I made a banner and tried to put it at the top of my
site. However, when I inserted the image, the image doesn't fit and
leaves a white space around the image...it doesn't fit into the
table. So what I had to do is make the background color in that
specific cell black so it looks like the entire banner fit into the
table. But I want to change the banner so it's a better designed
image, but I know that no matter what I do, the image will not fit
the cell perfectly. How can I do this?

A table cell will expand to exactly contain an inserted image
assuming
the table's cellpadding and cellspacing are both set to zero
and you
have not specified an oversized height or width.

It has always been that the upgrade tries to be the "master" over the older version.
Anyway in Pages 09 you have probably the Comments field showing, making all contetn to move to the right.
Go to View menu > Hide Comments.

Center image and table in Standard Report

I am having an image and a table to be printed. I use the Standard Report format. Customer's requirement is to make the table columns to be of different widths, center the table and make the image to be of the same size as the table. I have achieved different column widths by customizing the Report Generation VIs. For the next items - centering the table & choosing the image size, I have considered A4 as paper size and set the left and right margins & set the image size accordingly. Now the problem is the customer prefers not to limit the paper size to A4. So is there a way to set the center-alignment to the image & table (instead of me setting the suitable margins to make it appear centered)? There is an alignment control in Append Image to Report VI, but this is not used by the Standard Report. Is there a workaround for this and the table? Any help is greatly appreciated.
P.S.: HTML report is not an option, since I need the ability to choose a printer and print to it from our software. HTML reports, by default, prints to the printer configured in the default browser, using the margins configured in the browser.

Hi Kamlesh,
the variation is set to 'do not explode' in the report 1SLK-001 (S_ALR_87013614)
You can check this using the following path in transaction GRR3 (library 1VK) report 1SLK-001:
Menu: Edit -> Variation, you will see that the variation is set to 'Do not explode'.
This is why navigation between the different reports or variation is not
available in this report, (the icons are greyed out).
Iif you wish to have this functionality, then you can copy the report and change
the variation as follows:
-> via GRR1 create a copy of the standard report using report 1SLK-001 as
    a reference, ('Copy from'-field).
-> in this new report you can then via Edit->Variation change 'Cost Element
     from 'Do not explode' to 'explode', and CO area from 'Do not explode'
     to 'Variation sing. val'."

Lost my iPhone 6 Plus images and I need help getting them back.

I may just have to go to the apple store, but I am going to see if anyone out here can help me out.
Oct 31st I transferred my SIM from my iPhone 5S to a new iPhone 6 Plus. On December 7th(ish) my new iPhone decided that it would no longer focus on anything that was more than one foot away.
I was hoping that it would fix itself but it never did. So I went to the Apple Forums and there were some people suggested that wiping out the phone and restoring the system would help.
Before I wiped out my phone I did a back up. After the phone restored all the images and information came back. The camera started working for a couple clicks then stopped. I wiped out my phone three maybe four more times and it each time the images came back I even wiped out and set it up as a new iPhone and wiped back out and restored with my iCloud and the image still came up!!! ... but the focusing would not work for more than a couple of clicks.
On December 12 I took it into the iPhone store they said I'd needed a replacement one. Before we removed the "find my phone" and wiped out the device we made sure the phone was backed up. Because I had over 5,500 images on my phone I didn't wait around the store to make sure they all popped up and went home.
When I got home the phone only showed the 4,200 images I had taken with my iPhone 5S up to October 31st!!! However, under my settings my replacement iPhone 6 Plus shows 5,500 images but I cannot locate them.
The other thing that is odd is that all my "shared images" from October 31st to December 12th that I took with my 6 Plus are still showing up as well as the ones that I sent via which leads me to think that they are lost out in the iCloud Universe somewhere.
When logged on to my iCloud.com account it would only allow me to see what is on my current iPhone 6 Plus which includes the images before October 31st and the images I have taken since the iPhone 6 Plus. I cant see any of the images that are on my iPad that are set up under the same account, but it let's me see the icon for the iPad and it also shows me the icon for my other 6 Plus. However, the iCloud website will not allow me to click on the two icons and look at the images.
I believe that after 30 days from December 12th those images will probably by default be deleted from the iCloud system and I want to make sure that I get them back before they do.
I understand that apple changed the layout of the images and I did go and look at all my albums... so this not the case.
I can see my back up from Dec. 9 and Dec 12th and have tried to do the restore on this phone the text and the contacts pull up but the images do not.
Someone please help me out. I have all the images from our recent Disney World Vacation in there and I would really like to have them back.

PC Suite Image and Font Size

Hi.The control panel for PC Suite is awfully small, and the fonts for the text are even smaller, down to what would be termed in the printer's trade as "granite" size. When I need to Scroll, for example down to my phone carrier to log in, or when I need to read the "Help" manual, I cant see what I need to read because the print is so ridiculously minisucule. Will the Adminstrato4rs of Nokia/PC Suite please enlarge the command windows and fonts to a usefull and viisible size ?? Thanks. Ringmeup2Scotty.

Nokia PC Suite development has stopped and the product is no longer actively supported. suggest migrating/using Nokia Suite instead, of which the latest version is available for download from http://nokia.com/nokiasuite

Without going through it in detail the problem may be that you're doing the repaint which you hope will draw the image before the image has completed loading.
Create your ImageIcon (loading the "xxxx.jpeg" files) during program initialisation. And check the load status of the icon, at least in a test version.

I still cant get the reqd output. Only the 1st image is dispayed and when i click the second code, the 2nd image doesnt come(the first one does not disappear, and even when i click the code 1 i have to minimize/ maximize the screen, to get the image and after that it does not go for the s2nd image 2 come!! )

Image and paper size

I am using Adobe PSE. I would like an image to be printed on a card. The card is a blank playing card. The dimensions are H: 3.5 inches x W: 2.5 inches. I want the image to be borderless on the card once printed. I want the print to fit the card. I think 200 resolutions will be fine. What steps must I take to accomplish the task?

Use the crop tool.
Set your dimensions in the options bar and drag out the crop tool over your image.
Click in the center to move the image and position it.
Then click the green checkmark to commit.

Please help... overlaying images and tables

Hello.. i'm relatively new to Dreamweaver so excuse me if
this is a "duh" question.
Ok.. so i am redesigning my website, before i used Microsoft
Word. So trying to learn Dreamweaver and its tables and everything
has been very confusing, however i am coming along. So here is my
problem.. i have a Nav bar going down the left side of my page, and
in my old website i used an image for the border... the image would
go behind and i would place the buttons on top of the image..
It doesn't look like things work that easily in dreamweaver,
so i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Here's an opening salvo. If your previous experience with web
pages was
with Microsoft Word, then you essentially have NO experience
with web pages.
That being the case, you face a LONG and tedious uphill climb
with DW.
Without knowing anything about HTML and CSS, you will
transition from one
mysterious problem to another, all the while thinking with a
"click and
drag" mindset, and most likely eventually give up in
frustration.
The truth is that working with HTML is definitely NOT like
working with
Microsoft Word. The sooner you learn that, the better off you
will be.
Please do yourself a favor and take a week or two to just
read about HTML -
so you'll know some of the language. You can start at
http://www.w3schools.com with
their excellent tutorials.
Also, images of pages do no good. To get definitive help, we
need to see
the code on the page, since it's always the code that
determined how the
page will look in any browser....

Images and Tables jump around in text

I have a document with text and images. The image arrange settings are set to: Move withText - Above and Below.
But it doesn't seem to work correctly as you can see here:
How is this even possible? Clearly the image should be where the blue handle is, right? Is anything wrong with my settings?
I hope someone can help me. I really want to use Pages with iCloud.

DW is not a WYSIWYG app. At best, Design view is a rough approximation of what you can expect to see in some older browsers. Live View is slightly better because it's based on a webkit browser engine. But even that has certain limitations.
Previewing in all major browsers often during development is the only way to know if your design is holding up.
When things go wrong, validate code and fix reported errors. 98% of browser rendering issues are code related.

JScroller on JTable and table size

Hi everyone...
I have a small problem...i added JScrollPane to my JTable...but if i do the following...
JScrollPane contentScroller= new JScrollPane(myJTable,JScrollPane.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR_AS_NEEDED,JScrollPane.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS);
myJTable.setAutoResizeMode(JTable.AUTO_RESIZE_OFF);In this case scroller works great....accept if i have a smaller data set to show...for example only one column...
Basically what i would like is to be able to set like minimum size of my JTable...is that possible...

Index size and table size

I have 3 user tables spaces that the os is reporting as 33 GB, 7 GB, and 5 GB.
Just from a gut feeling I know we don't have that much data in our tables but I can't seem to find out where the space is allocated. I checked the internet and found various queries.
The first one (found at ask Uncle Tom), breaks the space for table by table:
select table_name,blocks, empty_blocks,
avg_space as avg_space_free_K, num_freelist_blocks, blocks + empty_blocks + num_freelist_blocks as
total_blocks_allocated,
((blocks + empty_blocks + num_freelist_blocks) * 8192) /1048576
from dba_tables
order by ((blocks + empty_blocks + num_freelist_blocks) * 8192) /1048576 desc
This gives a total of just over 8096 MB for all tables on all table spaces.
I then found a query on this forum.
SELECT
SUM(BYTES) / 1048576 as mb_allocated
FROM
dba_SEGMENTS
WHERE
SEGMENT_TYPE = 'TABLE'
This gives me around 38,372 MB.
What is the difference between query 1 and 2?. Can I modifiy query 2 to break down the space allocated by table?

Tom's query is using information gathered for the cost-based optimizer (CBO). If you have not gathered sttaistics on the tables recently, those values may be way off.
If you want to see a breakdown of the space used by different objects, you could use something like
select owner, segment_name, sum(bytes)/1024/1024 MB
from dba_segments
where owner NOT IN ('SYS', 'SYSTEM')
group by owner, segment_nameFrom the operating system, however, you would be looking at the size of the data files allocated to the tablespace. If you allocate 10 GB to the tablespace but only have 1 GB of space from that tablespace allocated to actual objects, you still have 10 GB allocated to Oracle at the operating system level.
select tablespace_name, sum(bytes)/1024/1024 "MB"
from dba_data_files
group by tablespace_nameshould match the values reported at the operating system level.

Tab order direction and table size

Hello.
I have a form with a table that should be filled by the user. The default tab order is Left to Right, and I need it to be Right to Left. I tried to set the tab order from the Tab Order tab, and it worked on the first row, but when adding rows their tab order is left to right again. How can I change the default tab order?
And one more thing - How can I get the size of the table (number of rows) with JavaScript?

Hi Arick,
This is a standard functionality provided by Adobe form. You can see 'Tab order' under options, and using the shift key, decide the order in which you want the tab to move.
for the number of row, use the following ( i dont know if theres any standard function, but since its repeated nodes of a subform, you can calculate it in the following way)
I am assuming that the table is called 'Table1' defined under the root node, and has only headerRow defined. No FooterRow is defined

New t410 image and repair discs help

First i want to say thanks to everyone for being so helpful. i've a had a few other questions that you guys have helped me on.
i just got my t410 and i am about to make some repair and/or recovery discs. First of all, when i choose "create system image" from control panel, I get 3 drives to backup: System_drv, Window 7 os (C, and Lenovo Recovery (Q. by default, lenovo recovery is NOT selected, should I select it to back that up as well? What effect will it have on the repair discs that I am going to create afterwards? And will it effect me reimaging onto a SSD?
PS. I know some of you guys are on notebookreview, where also posted something similar. if you've already read this bear with me.

Yes. If you battery lasts more than half its advertised life, it is within what Apple considers to be acceptable performance and they may refuse service. Also, if your iPod shows signs of excessive physical damage, Apple may refuse service.
