Image capture from itunes movie/ tv show purchases and rentals ?
I'd like to get screen grabs (preferably high quality images) from itunes movies for personal use. Is there any way to do this with Lion ? I have tried Snapz Pro already and just get the chequered grey and white image.
My macbook pro does not have a disk drive so this is purely for stuff from itunes which I believe cannot be played through VLC or quicktime etc. Any help would be much appreciated !

Yes, you can purchase and download directly from the iPad. Use the iTunes app. The iTunes Store interface on the iPad only displays a limited selection of the available content, so for many items you may need to use the Search.
As to Netflix, they have an app for the iPad:

I don't know about other sources for TV shows, though there may well be. I know of no other sources for feature films at this time.

I purchased the X-Men Bundle of 5 movies. I downloaded the first 3 onto my iPhone. Only 1 of the 3 (the first film) shows up as an option to sync to iTunes on my iMac. I do it this way because I have access to free hi-speed wifi at work but not at home.
I have verified that the other 2 films are actually on the phone and will play on the phone.

I think I had turned that feature off and forgot I had done so. Now it seems so obvious but for some reason I didn't look there. This is a big help. I can download stuff at work but at home I have only cellular data using a mobile wi-fi device and downloading movies, especially HD movies is just not an affordable option. Taking my iMac to the office would be crazy. I downloaded only my MacBook Air and copied the files onto a thumb drive but those were not recognized. I was at my wit's end. Thanks again!

I have downloaded a movie from ITunes. It shows up in my video app. When I go to play it I get an error message: "The requested URL was not found on this server". When I checked back on iTunes, where you click to rent or buy a movie it says "Downloaded". Any advice on what I can do in order to watch this movie that I rented a couple of weeks ago?
Select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.

I have purchased 2 songs from itunes. They show up in itunes library on my computer, but when I sync ipod with computer, the songs do not transfer to ipod
Is your iPod configured to sync these tracks? How do you have your iPod set up to sync music from your iTunes library?

I purchased a text tone from Itunes. It shows up in my library, but not as a text tone. Is there a way for me to set it as a text tone for all texts? Or I am stuck with factory settings?
So it is conseidered a customized text tones even if it was purchased through iTunes? Confusing. Since I bought it through itunes as a text tone I assumed it would work. OOOPS

If I fully backup my iPad using iTunes, does it backup ebooks in iBooks that are not purchased via iTunes or will restoring from that backup only showed purchased ebooks in iBooks?
Purchased content MAY be available for redownload - Music for sure. I think books are NOT available for redownload (not sure).
Best practice is to keep the content on a desktop computer to be able to resync when necessary (or use a cloud service like Drop Box). -
Does Apple charge a dollar to reset the apple id password? What are these $1.00 charges from itunes for? No purchases of movie books music etc. found on itunes.

I had to replace my harddrive on my IMAC and downloads from ITUNES do not show up. How do I restore my previous library?
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy, not good, then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:

How do I watch my iTunes movies, tv shows on my mac without having to download them all to my HD? I really want my Mac to function like my Apple TV since I have just moved and don't have my TV for another few weeks. Since I purchased my three Apple TV. I have had no need to download any of my movies to my Mac. Which has been great. However, I remember that I used to now have to do this... or did I? Why can't I use an iTunes gift card in Canada to purchase apps for my iTouch?
Inquiries to the iTunes Store have yielded only the following explanation:
"Due to tax laws and commerce restrictions for software in Canada, customers residing in Canada may only purchase games and applications using a credit card."
What these "laws/restrictions" might be have never been identified.
Can I somehow exchange the giftcards that I have for App gift cards?
There are no "app gift cards". Again, you can only use a credit card to purchase software in the Canadian iTunes Store.
Problem is I don't have a credit card to purchase the apps.
Perhaps you could obtain one of the "prepaid" credit cards some banks offer. If not, then the only way you'll be able to buy apps is to get someone to allow you to use their credit card. -
My iTunes Library only shows purchased songs from iTunes, i have music on my iPod from purchased and cds i have burnt from my computer, this all used to show up in my library but since having to have a new hard drive in my computer my library only shows purchsed songs. If i want to sync my iPod it tells me i will lose all exsisting music which i don't want to do, can anyone help?

- When all ths stuff is in your iTunes library, make a backup of the iPod by connecting the iPod to the computer and then right-clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Backup.
- Last, restore from that backup and then sync as necessary. -
I downloaded a Ringtone from iTunes into my iPhone 6 and set it as the default Ringtone.Worked well until I had to recharge my phone.The Ringtone has now disappeared from my iPhone and I'm left with just the Ringtones that come standard with iPhone 6. I sync'd my phone and it shows in the Tones folder. How do I get the Ringtone back as a default Ringtone in my iPhone 6. Quite frustrating!!
In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.

How do I set up my iphone 5 so that I can access my family account? Recently I purchased music from itunes using my apple id, and now I cannot find those songs in our cloud. I wanted to add those songs to my ipod. Do I have to buy them again using my husband's apple id?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can use different ID's for iTunes and iCloud.
Just delete the account in settings > iCloud and create them their own account.
if the children are minors, you wiil need to create and be responsible for each account yourself. -

If AT&T e-mail says it is unlocked, then believe it is so. Insert non-AT&T SIM inside and after backing up restore in iTunes again. Unlock gets attached.
You can check the status of the unlock request on AT&T web-site.
