Image Class 7470 printer won't power up

My Image Class 7470mf printer will not power up. Is there a power reset or is there a serice manual available (online preferred) where I can troubleshoot this problem?

Hazinpa, HP printers go to sleep if the printer is not active for more than 30minutes and however if the wireless radio button is ON and your network is installed fine then when you give the print command the printer automatically comes out of sleep mode to print.

Yes. I have the latest version intalled but this hasnt helped.
I thought it could be to do with the Shuffle not having enough of a battery charge.
So i plugged it into the wall charger and then tried this didnt work either.
It wont even play music for some reason. The only information I get in the earpiece when I turn it on is what the battery level is at.

Printer won't power on

Yes, the printer is plugged in, and yes the power cord and the outlet are functioning, but no, when I touch the power button on the printer, nothing happens. What's up with that?? It's a photosmart plus B210, wireless. We got it last week and it's been working fine until today.

Is using ethernet or USB cables remove them.

Image Class multifuntion Printer MF4150

Copy,Scan,Fax lights all on and cannot do anything. I can print from computer and receive faxs. Any suggestions other then buying a new one.

Once the unit is unplugged, press all of the buttons on the control panel, starting left to right, one at a time. Next, plug the machine back in and power it on.

Printer Won't Print Certain Images

I just got my new HP Envy 114 printer this week and have only now gotten to setting it up. While it took some time to set up the wireless and web services, all of the networking issues were eventually resolved. My current problem is that, whenever I have the device print out a web document, there are certain key images it doesn't print. I know this isn't an ink level issue, as both black and color levels are near full. I was wondering if there might be any print settings, or settings on my browser, that might prevent said images from being printed. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Which browser are you using ? Can you see images on the Print Preview screen ? Depening on your setup in your browser, background images won't come out.

Setting Black and White as the default when printing to a Canon Image Class 4080i

Hi,
I've got two Canon Image Class 4080i's that we are printing to at the school I work at. I have installed the Canon UFRII V2.40 Printer Driver for Mac OS X and we are able to print to them fine through any macbook running 10.5 to 10.7. My question is, how do I make the default printer setting be Black and White instead of color? I know how to change it from Color to Black and White by navigating to the Quality menu through the Print screen but I have to do this every time I print. Is there a way to make black and white the default?

You’re really going to take photos straight out of camera on a 5d3 and print them with a blindly applied B&W conversion from the printer? I would highly discourage that, but if that’s what you want to do I’m sure it’s possible. Sorry, I have no experience with that printer so I can’t help.
Do you have a laptop? My recommendation would be to use a photo processing software like Lightroom (if you don’t have it LR5 is ridiculously cheap right now), play around before the event to get a B&W conversion that you like – even the preset ones are going to be better than whatever conversion the printer does - and then print from LR. It’d hardly take any extra time, and you could get a brief review of the conversions on a laptop screen before printing.

Then it will power off simply because there is not enough power to keep it running. (It may take 24 hours to do this.) Once this has happened, plug the iPod back into your computer. After about 30 minutes, you should see the "Please wait, very low battery" message. After a while longer, the iPod will have enough power and should reset itself. If not, re-post, but see below.
At the bottom of your post you state that you have a 30GB video iPod. In that case, if you need to re-post, it would be better in the 5th generation iPod forum, (either 5th generation or 5th gen late - see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1353 for more information) as there will be posts from owners of the same model as you have, and with the same problems.

Ipod won't power on or sync. Is fully charged. Shows Apple image only.

Ipod is charged but won't power on or sync. Only shows the apple image for about a minute and then gone. When connect to computer it doesn't show in iPhoto or iTunes.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Toner lights and power light blinks and printer won't work

The ink lights are blinking in sequence along with the power button. I have changed all of the ink cartridges with the correct 920 type and have made sure they are all seated correctly. I have also flipped the cartridge carrier lever and reset that. Everything seams to be fine. My computer tells me that all the ink levels are full after inserting the new cartridges. I have rebooted the printer with and without the usb connection, cleared all printer jobs and it still keeps blinking and won't print. What else can I do?? Appreciate any suggestions.

I understand you're experiencing printer issues. I would like to help!
I would recommend performing a power reset on the printer. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.

OS X 10.8 not recognizing scanner on canon image class MF4270

I have mac OS x 10.8 (mountain lion), and canon image class MF4270. Printer works fine; won't recognize scanner. I've installed the latest driver updates for my image class MF4270 from canon website, both fax and UFR II printer driver v2.43. Also have MF toolbox and Canoscan Toolbox 5.0. Nothing is working. What do I do now?

There is no scanning support for this model.
MF ScanGear does not support the MF42xx series. And CanoScan Toolbox is just for the inkjet-based models and stand-alone scanners.
Also, there is no ICA driver for this model so you cannot use Image Capture.
And resetting the printing system will not resolve your issue.

Re-size an image in using the Image class?

Is there a way to resize an image using the com.day.cq.wcm.foundation.Image class? I wanted to extend the foundation image componet and have it resize to a specific height and width. Is there a way to change the size of the image before you call image.draw(out) ?

You also don't want to insert you resizing efforts prior to calling the image.draw method. The draw method doesn't actually render the image, it draws the HTML img tag that your components print out. If you were to use the ImageHelper to get the layer and resize it that would not actually change the size of the image.
Now that img tag will contain a URL to the image, and that URL will generally look something like this (unless you have customized your image components):
/path/to/your/page/_jcr_content/par/textimage/image.img.jpg/1323947520848.jpg
This URL is going to trigger a script or servlet that will be responsible for rendering the image. In the example above because the textimage component extends the parbase component and because URL includes the img selector it will end up triggering the servlet at /libs/foundation/components/parbase/img.GET.java. If you go into CRXDE Lite you can go to this file and look at the source code of this servlet and see an example of how it uses the layer to resize the image if that author edited the image in the smart image widget.
You can also see example of servlets that resize and image ot specific preset sizes (as you want to do) you can look at /apps/geometrixx-outdoors/components/product/image/thumbnail.GET.java and /apps/geometrixx-outdoors/components/product/image/nav.GET.java.
So what you would want to do is something like this:
Create your own component at /apps/mysite/components/foo
Create a servlet at /apps/mysite/components/foo/bar.GET.java - put your logic to resize the image here based on some of the examples
Create your component JSP at /apps/mysite/components/foo/foo.jsp
Create your component's dialog and in this dialog include a smart image widget - make sure you store your image on component node, not a sub-node. If you store your image on a sub-node you need to make sure the sub-node includes the same resource type as your main node).
In your component JSP when you create your foundation Image object make sure to image.setSelector("bar") before you call image.draw()
That should result in an image URL that looks like /path/to/your/page/_jcr_content/par/textimage/image.bar.jpg/1323947520848.jpg
Those steps aren't tested - so I may have missed something or mistyped something, but it should point you in the right direction.

I'm on a mac and my printer won't print

I'm on a mac and it sends the document to my printer (Hp Photosmart 4680 all in one) but the printer won't print. My printer has been working just fine and now it won't print. Am I doing something wrong. This happened once before and I got frustrated with and left it for about 2 days, I had tried everything I could think of, unplugging for an hour or more, uninstalling and reinstalling, checked ink levels they were fine. Then all of a sudden it started to work again. I just turned on my computer and printer and amazingly it just started to print. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do? Or does anyone have any suggestions of what I may be doing wrong!

Do you have HP software installed (in your Applications folder)? If so and you got it from the printer CD, let's get rid of it:
Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard/ click on HP Uninstaller
Click on Continue
Highlight your device on the left pane
Hold the Ctrl, Opt and Cmd keys and click on Uninstall
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall ALL hp software. (At this point, if you continue, any HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click Continue and let it finish
Now, run a Software Update.
Next, remove and re-install the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax.
You do not need the software now since Snow Leopard has both print & scan drivers built-in. Scan from Preview or Image Capture apps. Scanning from the front panel of the printer does not yet work.
