Image Deployment with no Volume Licensing

I need to deploy Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard via Acronis imaging software. The only issue that I am having is that when the "Master Image" is created it keeps the SN# to that particular license i.e. 2 machines now have the same license key.
Trying to find out if there is anyway to change the serial number after installation is completed or a way to install the program without having to use the key until the program has been launched for the first time.

I have this exact same question! I'm submitting an image to Dell who, because of Vista, won't send laptops with OEM copies of Adobe anymore. So instead they are sending retail versions at OEM prices.
We can't go to Corporate because the price is substantially more so I'm stuck with either installing Adobe after the image is applied or finding a way to change the serial number of the installation on the image after the install. Any help here would be appreciated.

Deploy CC Download Manager with active volume license key

Hello.
In our organization we have a volume license with 145 seats.
Is it possible to remotely deploy the download manager and somehow already activate the volume license key?
I looked at the CC packager, but for our users there would be too many combinations of packages and everything in one package is also not an option.
I found no way to activate the volume license key on a Adobe ID.

We are indeed an Enterprise customer, and i have been looking at the creative packager application. But if we use pre-activated packages i would have to make around 20 different combinations (mix of video editing, photo editing, recording, flash packages etc etc). Which would make the maintenance impossible.
I would prefer to ONLY install the Download Manager on everyone's computer, and let them choose which packages they actualy need without the need to enter the volume license key.
If i install the download manager, and only ONE packaged application (for example Photoshop), would all the other applications automaticaly be activated aswell?
Also: It's not possible to activate a volume license key on a Adobe ID right?

I have installed Photoshop on my target computers with no internet access and now need to license them, I have a volume license but this does not provide the key needed to add to the request code to generate a response code, therefore HOW DO I LICENSE THIS DAMN PRODUCT

The steps you tried should active the software offline. However if still the same behaviour then let us try few more steps:
1. If you are in Windows try giving permissions to the following Adobe folders:
C/Program Files(X86)/Common Files/Adobe-->Check for Read/Write permission
   C/Program Files(X86)/Adobe-->Check for Read/Write permission
   C/Program Files/Common Files/Adobe-->Check for Read/Write permission
   C/Program FIles/Adobe-->Check for Read/Write permission
   C/Program Data/Adobe-->Check for Read/Write permission
On Mac:
Library/Application Support/Adobe-->Check for Read/Write permission
~Library/Aplication Support/Adobe-->Check for Read/Write permission
2. Create a serialize file using AAMEE 3.1 and run the command line: AdobeSerialization --tool=VolumeSerialize --stream --provfile=Absolute_Path_of_prov.xml to serialize the product.
You may simply copy the Serialization file to the offline machines and run the command line to serialize it.
Please let us know whether it worked.

Factory install of iwork 08 with a volume license

I work for a non-for profit with a computer lab with macbooks. I reformated a macbook that had a factory volume licence install of iwork 08. When i reinstalled iwork that volume licence did not carry over. How can i remind it that it has a volume license. We don't seem to have any paper work with the licence b/c it was a factory install.

As far as I know, you can enable multiple monitors in Windows 7, not just Ultimate edition:
Note: the option would be grayed out if current PC just connect only one monitor.

WDS Image deployment with updates applied

Hi All,
Is it possible to capture an image which has windows updates included? I am currently building a number of machines for rollout and having to wait for 115 updates to be applied to each.
I have captured a .wim image and is sitting in captured images within install images on the WDS server - I need to add a boot image to show on the machine when network booting, but not sure how to do this.
Any help appreciated.

Windows 8.1 Pro Won't activate with valid Volume License Key.

Upon entering the code and clicking "Activate" in the PC Settings --> Activate Windows app, I get the text "Windows Can't Activate. Try again later." and the error details/code: 0xD0000452

Is there a way to change a volume license to individual license?

I've recently upgrade all 11 of our licenses from CS5.5 to CS6, the boxed licenses worked no probs but the volume license did not.
After chatting to support they informed me that the volume license will have to be upgraded by that department and the best they can offer me was a refund on the 7 copies.
So after speaking with Adobe Volume licensing (Business) I was informed that they don't offering the CS5.5 to CS6 upgrade anymore GRRR.
It's CC or nothing with them so now I'm trying to find a workaround as having 2 different versions is not the way and I'm not willing to change to CC.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated thanks

Need help with accessing volume license purchase so I can download the software to my new computer. I can't see it under my purchase history.

I think you should be able to just download & install it, then activate it with your serial number.

Creative Suite 6 Offline Activation (volume license)

Hello,
I have a Volume License for Creative Suite 6 an have installed the software to computer on a closed (secure) network with NO internet connection. I have used the request code wizard and entered the code into the Adobe offline activation/license request wizard on another computer (connected to the internet), along with my volume license key. The response always states that either the request code is invalid or the license is invalid.
I have had the software for ~6-8 weeks and have been unable to activate it, despite numerous calls to (and chats with) Adobe.
PLEASE HELP!

Changing Volume license to Single private license?

For some strange reason when I bought my license through the Israeli reseller I was issued with a Volume license and now my Ps12 is registered as a Volume license even though I'm a single private person! Thus my Ps12 does not appear in My Products/Adobe account.
My question is, is it possible to change my registration from Volume to Single Private?

Volume Licensing media

I have recived my volume licenses for Acrobat 8 Profrssional. I'm based in Bermuda and will not receive my software media until April 4th. I do not believe my purchasing department ordered (ESD)Electronic Software Delivery.
My question is If I download and install the trial version can I activate it with my volume licenses?

Rebuilding OEM device with Volume License image

Hello,
I built a Windows 8 Pro device with Volume License media to allow people in the organisation to evaluate but now I want to return this to its original state so it can be given to charity.
I have tried rebuilding this using a default media VL USB stick but it doesn't seem to be able to pick up the OEM product key that I assume is stored in the BIOS.
Do I need to rebuild this device using OEM/Retail media for it to detect the built in key or is there another way to do this using the VL media I already have?

I am sure a recovery partition was there before I rebuilt it but in theory then, does this mean if I rebuilt this using OEM or Retail media of the same edition it would pick up the product key or is it coded to only recognise OEM media from the
actual manufacturer of the hardware?
I know with Windows 7 you can happily use an OEM key with retail media and vice versa as long as the edition is the same - does anyone know if this is the case with Windows 8?
It would be good to know for future reference.

Deploying CS6 products with volume licensing serial

My company has volume licensing for CS6 Design and Web Premium and I am currently trying to create a Citrix streamed package of Photoshop only. I start the install, select only to install Photoshop and it completes fine but now I am at the following screen. How would one go about deploying this in an enterprise? Thanks.

Contacted Adobe support and they pointed me to the following link where I can download a utility to package CS 6 products for deployment and it works great. Already confirmed successful deployment via SCCM.

Windows 8.1 With Bing or Windows 8.1 Core To Pro Volume License?

If we buy laptops with Windows 8.1 With Bing or 8.1 Core, what is the path to get Windows 8.1 Pro volume licensing so we can join them to domains and create a common MDT deployment image?
Do we buy a Pro Pack license for each system and then use the Pro Pack upgrade to 8.1 Pro upgrade license for eligibility to purchase 8.1 Professional volume licensing or is there an easier path?

I'm going to try to restate the main parts of the question more clearly.
We are buying some laptops where the vendor does not offer a configuration choice of Windows 8.1 Pro. Normally, we order laptops with Windows Professional preinstalled, but, for these specific models, since they are consumer-oriented laptops, you cannot
purchase this model with 8.1 Pro licensing from the vendor. We will have to purchase them with 8.1 With Bing preloaded from the factory.
We will be using our own custom image of 8.1 Pro when we deploy the laptops to users.
Since Windows 8.1 With Bing and Windows 8.1 Core in general is not an eligible OS for purchasing volume licensed 8.1 Pro, we need to, somehow, get these systems licensed for 8.1 Pro before we can buy 8.1 Pro VL.
How can we do this? Do we buy 8.1 Pro Packs ($99 each)? Do we have to buy the full retail edition of 8.1 Pro for each laptop ($199 each) and use these for VL upgrade eligibility? Can we purchase the 8.1 With Bing to 8.1 Pro upgrade directly
through the Volume Licensing Program?
What is the best we to do this for cost per machine and for convenience implementing?

Installing CS3 (Volume License) for mass deployment via NetInstall (via OS X Server)

Hello.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using CS3 (volume license) for mass deployment? We used to manually install on machines, but as the size of the organization has grown, this has become more and more inconvenient. This summer we're planning on a complete upgrade to all systems and during this process we're doing HD formatting and clean installations of all systems and software. To make this process more efficient (as all systems are set up the same way) we're now looking into using OS X 10.5 Server, NetInstall and a cloned system image for deployment to all machines.My question is, is there anything relating to CS3 that may cause issues with this process? Does CS3 installation bind itself to the hardware it was installed on? Since we are using a volume license, I don't have to worry about individual serial numbers and activating the system with Adobe, but again, I'm unsure if installations are somehow tied into the hardware they were installed on? Ideally, I'd install CS3 onto the "master" system and run all updates prior to making the final system image. Has anyone that's done this using CS3 provide any information that may help me out?

No one is withholding a reply from you because you're using CS3. It is just that no one who may know the answer has wandered by. The folks who help here are Adobe product users, like you.

My only point was that you will be spending a lot of time and effort on a setup that is centered around older, discontinued software. And my thinking is that if you are going to the time and expense of revamping your office, why not do it right and include CS4? If you install CS3 now, when you do decide to upgrade to CS4, you will be giving yourself a lot of extra work. From my point of view, the added software cost would be a good investment
during the current systems overhaul. Otherwise, it just isn't a "complete upgrade". You're installing '07 parts on the '09 Mercedes.
