hello everybody,
I am trying to create a web application where any user can download image which is stored in my sql server 2000 database in byte array form(image data type).I don't want to save the image into the server.When user sends request for download the image one html file save option dialog will open to the client browser for selecting the path where user want to download that image. The image will download from the ms sql server 2000 database directly.

In the above case the load & storage on the Database Servers would be High.
I could have gone for the below approach
In general people upload it on a Backup location on servers and maintain a FileRegistry table in the Database which points out FilePath with a respective fileId respect to it and there would be a ResourceServlet / ResourceBackingAction which checks out the User Information from the Session validates it & then queries the DB gets the file path w.r.t to uploaded file's MIME type,File Size (bases upon them sets response headers) & fetches the bytes from the Respective InputStream and then outputs the resultant stream to the ServletOutputStream so that the user can download the content through his/browser.

How do I disable automatic image downloads if there is no option to turn that function on/off in Options/Control???

I want to turn off the automatic image download function, and DO NOT have that option on the Option/Content tab. I have looked everywhere I can think of for an option to stop web pages from downloading a ton of stuff I don't want to see, and I cannot find a way to do it anywhere. I am VERY frustrated at this point, because all the help info I found online from other sources say to uncheck the Automatic Image Download box on the Content Tab in the Options dialog box.
That option isn't there... The only things available on that tab are "Block Pop-ups," "Fonts & Colors," and "Language." That's it. I have automatic updates enabled for Firefox, and it is up to date.
Please help me solve this very annoying problem. Thank you.
BTW... EVERY search I did on the tech support page said there were 1000 answers/solutions found. This tells me that your search function is NOT working very well at all...Every search should not return the EXACT same quantity of results.

The projector may actually be processing a 3 digit number in numerical sequence. Have you tried your export/collection in order sequence starting with 101? Assuming you have fewer than 899 images you should be OK. (I had to fiddle with export sequence for a display frame which used the file date and time for sequence!)

Column View won't display some images downloaded by browser

I have used the "Preview" in Column View to display images for some time and some images downloaded to folders will never display. The wheel just spins in the display area and CMD-i doesn't display the image either. If I open the image in the Preview application it displays! There is no detectable difference in the files that do and don't display in Col. View. I can get any image to show up by opening a graphic application and doing a "Save As" to reprocess the image and replace the balky one. But, this is not right that I should have to do this. I cannot determine whether a downloded image is going to have a problem or not as some from the same websites are OK sometimes and some are not. I had the problem with OS 10.2.8 too. Changing from iCab to Safari does not help.

ACK!!!! Cancel all that because it happens using Firefox too. I have NO IDEA what in the world is happening to my system that would cause web pages to load incompletely.

At least one AP is upgrading image, download cannot start

Trying to perform a code upgrade on our WLC but receive this error -

I don't see any of the AP's in the download state either viewing through the GUI or CLI.
Has anyone run into this before ? Any suggestions ?

Issue has been reported on some 7.4 and 7.6 codes where the controller will prevent rebooting
thinking one (some) of the AP's is in downloading state even when there are no AP's that show stuck in this process.
To fix this, I had to do a forced reboot on the controller using the command “reset system forced”.
Our controllers are in HA mode so I than forced a fail-over back to the primary.
Once completed I was able to upgrade the controllers.

Too many concurrent AP image downloads, AP will not Join

peeps,
wonder if any of you have seen this before, trying to join an 1142 on a WLC_SRE version 7.4.
the AP can ping the controller and vice versa. In the controllers GUI: Monitor>Statisticc>AP join, I can find the mac of the AP that I am trying to get joined.
the details of this mac show:

Trying to join 1142N LAPs.    when getting the boot up process on the LAP, it endlessly loops in finding a valid WLC, although I have primed them to go to 192.168.7.1.
The WLC log shows:

Images downloaded using firefox (android) not recognised properly - cant attach pics for mms

I have been experiencing a problem on my HTC one x where images downloaded through firefox for android will not behave properly in my phone. Attempts to attach pictures to text messages are met with a pop up saying "unable to attach media".
Inspecting the details of these pictures in the gallery app showed that the file type field is blank (hence being unable to attach it to a mms, another symptom is that gifs display as a still image of the first frame of the gif).
Inspecting these pictures using a file browsing app shows that they all have the correct extensions for their file type. Renaming the pictures (without changing the extension) within the file browser seems to fix the problem - their file type shows up correctly within the gallery app, pics can be sent via mms and gifs become animated.
I am only experiencing this issue with firefox, the same images downloaded with different browsers all work perfectly - i dont have to rename them to get my phone to recognize them properly.
The problem may have something to do with the method that firefox uses to download files - every file i have downloaded using other browsers shows up in my phones stock "downloads" app, while files downloaded through firefox do not (it keeps its own list within the app itself)
Any ideas as to the cause of this problem?

The workaround is to long tap on the image and select share and then choose message.

Too Many Concurrent AP Image Downloads

I have a new 5508 controller running 7.0.235.3 code in a lab setting, so currently there are no APs associated to it. I am trying to get a 3502 AP to join this controller. I configured the AP with the controller IP address and put it on the same subnet as the controller. The AP will boot, then gets to the point where is is trying to translate capwap-cisco-controller.domain. It seems to time out, then go through the whole process again. I checked the AP join statistics on the controller and it sees the AP try to join, but fails with the 'Too Many Concurrent AP Image Downloads' message. Since this is the only AP attempting to make a connection, I know this message is errant.
Any issues anyone is aware of or possibly a setting I overlooked?

So this error can be a little misleading. Is the license or eval license activated and in use to allow APs to join? If your number of supported APs is 0 often times I see this error. You can verify this by going into the Monitor section in the Web GUI and it will tell you how many Access Points are supported above the controller picture

Images download to iPhoto instead of Photos

I had downloaded Photos and out of stupid curiosity, opened iPhoto back up to look for something. Since then, all of my new images download automatically into iPhoto instead of Photos. I want them to download into Photos on my Mac. How do I get this back?

Nope. Didn't work, Eric. Every time I right click on an image to download and click on "Download to Photo", it opens up iPhoto and places it in there.

I downloaded a jpeg image from shutterstock.com to use for my baby shower invitation and was told that I would be able to erase the example text and add my own using adobe illustrator but having a hard time figuring this out. Please help.

You were mislead. Text in a flattened raster image (your JPEG) is essentially "burned in" and not editable or erasable in Illustrator. It is true that you could set type over (in front of) an image with Illustrator.
It may be possible to achieve the end result you want, but without seeing the image, it would be difficult to tell you how to proceed. Can you post a screenshot?

HTML Gallery, metadata and image download

I find Bridge collections really useful and output to html gallery template pretty good looking as a quick way to show prospect clients themed presentations of my work. There are two issues though which I hope someone can help with, or that Adobe would change if listening in on this.
Whereas the html gallery template reads the metadata like description, title and filename, metadata is being stripped from the image when image is downloaded from gallery.
That the image can be downloaded and that meta data is stripped from the image files are two reasons not to use what otherwise could have been an excellent product.
I would prefer the coding of this html gallery to prevent download of individual image files and as content providers we totally rely on metadata being contained with image file. Are there ways I can change this without going to script amendements?
If the solution should not be with adobe, could anyone suggest another product that could cater for this need?

Amendments (and apologies for errors in my original post. Copyright status, -notice and -url are indeed contained in metadata for downloaded image, so not so bad then Wish list thus shortended to description field and the IPTC contact data. Though why not all?

How do I stop Apple Script from leaving a Text.txt file with each image downloaded using Photo Downloader in Adobe Photoshop CS4_Bridge???

I use Adobe Photoshop CS4_Bridge _Photo Downloader to import images from CF Cards into my 11" Mac Book Air. I have an issue with the Text files
that seem to accompany each and every image that I do not need. How do I stop Apple Script (which I assume is the culprit in this case) from interferring with this process.

Your iWeb Site is stored not on your iDisk, but on a file named Domain.sites in your ~/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb/ Folder.
If , for whatever reason, you wipe your HD and/or lose this file (Get a new computer, Re-Install your OS, Stolen Laptop, Crashed HD, Etc.) without backing-up your Domain.sites file then you will have to re-build your iWeb sites from scratch again.
Of course you can edit your Published HTML files in a different program such as Dreamweaver or even Text Edit. You just can't edit Published HTML files in iWeb. Not at this time at least.
Use iWebBackup to backup your Domain file to a Blank CD or DVD. Backing up your Domain file to another folder on your computer is not fully backing it up. If your computer gets stolen you still lost the file but if you have your Domain file burned onto a CD you have a backup!

Slow image downloads under 10.3.9, but not 10.4.9

I am a Mac admin at a small publishing company. We have a number of Macs still running OS 10.3.9, and some running 10.4.x. When users attempt to download large, hi-res image files from sites like ArtRes.com, Corbis, Getty, etc. with Safari 1.3.x under 10.3.9, the download starts, but immediately begins to slow down and within a minute or so grinds to a halt.
Under OS 10.4.x and Safari 2.x, the downloads do not exhibit this gradual slowdown and halt.
Since earlier submitting this question to a Safari discussion, I've tested this under Firefox and Opera as well, and the same problem of halting downloads from these image sites occurs with these browsers as well, so it appears to be an OS X 10.3 issue, not a Safari issue specifically.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this? (Upgrading everyone to 10.4.x is an obvious fix, but we can't do it yet.)

Hi, that's really strange. I don't recall seeing that in my experiences with Firefox and large images, at all. I'd venture to guess that there's some networking configuration setting on the 10.3.9 machines, or further up the chain that's causing them to time out.
I'd start by going to the terminal and doing a ping from one of the 10.3.9 machines to a remote site to see if you're getting any packet loss.

IE Aborting Image Download with src attribute when over SSL and getting Content-Type header value image/jpg

Images are not downloaded at all and page looks broken.
The same page works fine over HTTP but shows the problem over HTTPS. Works fine in firefox and chrome.
Checked and found the problem in IE 9, 10, 11
Is it some bug in IE, I have searched the forums and searched internet. Got following but are not relevant to this case.
Resetting src of the img (Ruled out, not doing any reset)
Do not save encrypted pages to disk is checked in advanced security options (Ruled out, unchecked)
Using TLS 1.2 with SSL 2.0 (Ruled out, SSL 2.0 unchecked)
Cache-preventing headers: Cache-Control header with the tokens no-cache, no-store (Ruled out, no such headers)
Restarts due to parser reset owing XML Namespace declaration, Meta tags etc. (Ruled out, image tags are afterwards)

What happens when you disable the 'Use TLS 1.0' checkbox in Internet Options, Advanced, Security, 'Use TLS 1.0'?
The only enabled option I have in IE is 'Use SSL 3.0'.
