Image exceeding my header?

I placed an image to the left hand side of my header and as I placed it it made the header bigger lengthwise. What did I do wrong? Thanks

Its always best to provide a link when asking a whats wrong question so we can see what is wrong. But I am going to go out on a limb here and guess ... did you use one of the starter CSS layouts in Dreamweaver?
If so, my bet is that you selected the word 'Header' in design view and deleted it thinking it was gone. Try clicking into your header area again and make sure that it also removed the blank <h1> tags.

How do i add images in the header and footer to a PDF using iText

I want to add images to the header and footer of every page while i am genrating a pdf i have created a separate class called EndPage which i am instanceiating its default constructor in another class 's button action method.
The above code genrates a PDF for me however it genrates a file with file size zero bytes and does not open it following is my sample code

Thanks for the quick response.
The problem is that when I keep the logo as a watermark, the pdf is not adjusting itself to include the logo as header.
But if I add a header text via Tools -> Headers and Footers, the pdf is adjusting itself so that the header text is at the beginning , not overlapping with the contents of pdf.
But while using logo as watermark, some times overlapping of the pdf contents and logo is happening.
Is there any way to add a logo in the Header and Footer via the option in Tools -> Headers and Footers

I receive the following error message when I try to add an image to the header:
Acrobat.com encountered an unexpected error.
I have tried to add .jpg and .gif without success.

We typically see this when an organizations IT department is blocking the upload of images. Are you working on this at work? If so, can you try adding the image outside your companies network?

Why can't I insert an image into the header in Pages 5.0.1?

In previouis versions of Pages, I was able to insert an image into a Header or Footer.
This action does not appear an option in Pages 5.0.1.
Am I missing something?
I must say, I do not like the NEW interface. Much has been lost with the transition to the Cloud.
I like the concept of using my iPad Air and my desktop, however functionality has been tossed out for deference to the Tablet.

Use a "Floating Graphic" and send it to the Section Master in the Arrange > Section Master menu. Floating is called Stays With Page now. Don't worry about it not being in the Header field. It will serve the purpose.

Pages 5.0 : impossible to paste an image in the header

hi, with the previous version of Pages, you can paste an image in the header to get it on every page. Now it seems to be impossible. Does anyone found a solution ? Thanks.

Images in headers & footers is just one of the many, many features that have been eliminated or changed. Leave feedback for the Pages team using the link in the Pages menu.

How can I resize an image in the header?

I have uploaded my organization's logo into our document, but it is out of proportion to the rest of the document. I've delted it and uploaded smaller versions of the logo and it is still too big. How can I format the image in the header so that it is more reasonably sized?

Save for web&.... the image exceeds the size for ....issue with AI on imac i7

Hi,
I just upgraded from using macbook Pro to Imac inte core i7 with 4GB. I use illustrator CS3 for high resolution documents i.e saving a Design for say maybe saving for iphone &ipod skin; a quality jpg that is 1300px(width) by 2000px(height.
General information
The issue is I keep getting the pop up with:
The image exceeds the size Save for Web was designed for. You may experience out of memory erros and slow performance. Are you sure you want to continue?
I click yes, but get another pop up with:
Could not complete this operation. The rastarized image exceeded the maximum bounds for save for web.
And last weekend after NOT being able to save anything I went and bought 16GB memory thinking that this ussue would be solved, but nada.
I have researched around here and google only to find about scratch disk: went to preferences then to plug-ins and scratch Disks -I seem NOT to get to the bottom of this at all.
And this morning I was trying to create a pattern Design and could not even get the design on the color swatches as I have done before with macbook pro with 4GB -IT'S NOT FUN, because I am NOT doing it right. Do you care to help me out?

Are you including a color profile? What metadata are you including with it?
How many pixels (h x v)?
50 kb is not all that big. Does your image have a lot of detail in it? Content can affect final compressed size.

Making some texbox and image invisible from header in the second page and third page only

i have written this expression for the image

the problem is, it is repeating in every pages, i want it to be displayed in the page one only, when the rdlc report is generated in the report viewer

According to your description, you added textbox and image to page header, now you want to display them on the first page, on other pages, their visibility is set to false, but the image is visible on every page.
I tried to reproduce the issue in my local machine, but it works fine for me. I set visibility of textbox and image by following steps:
Right-click the image, click Image Properties.
Click Visibility in left pane, select Show or hide based on an expression.
Click (fx) button and type the expression: =iif(Globals!PageNumber= 1,false,True).

How do you set-up a floating image in a header or footer?

I want to place a floating image in the header or footer so it repeats on every page of a section. Somehow this has been achieved in the Project Proposal Template but I can't work out how you set something like this up from scratch. Can you help me?

It is not in the header.
Highlight the floating image and then go Format > Advanced > Move Ojbects to Section Master.

How do I place an image over the header?

I am new to web design and new to Dreamweaver CS4. I have used 2 column template with header and footer. I have got a header title (an image) but I want to place an image to the left of it in the top left corner of the web page. I want the header region to be the height of the title as I want the image to have a greater height than the header area. When I insert the image it goes into the header region and the header automatically increases its height to fit the image. How can I overlay the image on the header rather than inserting it in the header? Any help would be appreciated.

Designing web pages is nothing like designing for print. To achieve what you want , you'll either need to create a special header image in Photoshop or Fireworks that contains white space and/or slices from surrounding images. Insert this new image into your header region.
Or, you could simply place image in the background using CSS. Then align your message text using CSS floats and margins. See demo below for an example.

Anchor link only for image in table header for sorting

Hi,
I need to implement sorting functionality for datatable.
for sorting header of the table column will have image along with header text.
for this i am using <h:commandLink> and <h:graphicImage>.
But i am getting behaviour as anchor link for both text and image.
deserved behavior for this is only ofr Image.
If any one implemented the same ..please help me

Image size from header

Hi,
I'm trying to extract image size from header for PNG, JPG, TIFF, BMP and GIF files. So far I got PNG working. I'm having problems finding size info for JPG files. Anyone knows where I can read about it (i didnt find nothing on google) or have the code that works? also for the other image types?
P.S. I dont wanna read the entire image using Image class cause its too slow.

Please, someone please me.
I have nothing but a image in my header. Now, what I want is,
that the height of header be the same as the image, but when I open
the page, I don't see the image in header at all, then I use
