Image fill location

I'm using one of the templates at the moment but when i try and change the image fill to another picture it points me in the direction of my documents
Can anyone tell me where the image fills are located on the hard drive
Cheers

Your image files are where every you put them when you first got them. Are you referring to photos from a camera? Do you use iPhoto? If so then bring up the Media pane in iWeb, click on Photos and peruse your iPhoto Library till you find the one you want. Or to make the search quicker, go into iPhoto and put the photos you want to use in an album. Then pick the album in the Media Browser when in iWeb. When you've found the photo in the Media Browser, drag it into the small bin in either the background section or the page section.

  • Image fill tile file location?

I want to edit the background on an iWeb template. The template uses tile fills to color the background. Some pages are yellow, some are purple. I want to change a purple page to a yellow one.
When selecting Page Background->Image Fill->Tile->Choose to change the purple page to a yellow one, I'm given a file search. I need to know where the template's tiles are stored, so I can change the page. A simple color fill doesn't work with this template.
Where are the tiles for iWeb's backgrounds stored? I've not been able to find them in any Library/Application Support locations.
    TIA.

The files used in a theme are stored in the iWeb application/Contents/Resources/Themes folder. In that folder will be packages for each theme. You'll need to open the theme package, locate the graphic file and edit it with an image editor.
You will have more control if you started with either the white, black or modern frame theme and customize it completely. Those themes will allow you to widen the page for better fit with mobile devices (Apple recommends 980 pixels). The other themes cannot be widened as the graphic files used in the are not scaleable.

  • Where are the Image Properties located?

Where are the Image Properties located? Recently watched a tutorial that suggested right clicking an image to see the Image Properties window. However, I am not seeing it. I am looking to add Image descriptions for better SEO. Thank you

    Hello,
Is that image used as a fill in a rectangle ?
If you right click in a Image frame you will the option for image properties. look at the screnshot.
If you right click on a recangle that has an image used as a fill then you will not the option for image properties. look at the screnshot.
If there is anyother scenario you are talking about please let me know and i will look in to it.

  • Change Browser Background Color with Image Fill

I inserted a picture using 'Image Fill' and 'Original Size' under Browser Background in the Page Layout tab and the browser background, I assume, defaults to white.
I need the browser background to be a standard black color with an Image Fill. I searched around the iWeb preferences and tabs but found no option...
    Many thanks in advance!
    Alex

The only way to get a black browser background is to set it to black. If you tile the photo there will be not browser background or make the image large enough so that it would take a very large browser window to exceed the photo's size. Or create a very large canvas with the photo in it at its original size and the rest of the area black.

  • Where are the image files located?

hey guys, my book is 75 mb and I can only guess that it's because my images are Too big. I don't know how to get the file sizes down because I replaced them but they must still be retained in the image folder because when I look at the size its 75mb. Does anyone know where the images are located?

Finding out where the images are held doesn't really help – here's why:
iBA a files aren't really document files – they're more like zipped folders. iBA does a whole heap of background stuff to make the book work. When you drag an or import an image into iBA, it gets filed into a certain place within that folder structure, and presumably 'logs' that location in some xml-type wizardry somewhere else in that folder structure.
Because of this, it's not a great idea to muck around with any of that stuff - it often makes things worse, not better.
As for image size - as Vinny said - all you can do is make the images 2048 x 1536 if you want view them full screen. That looks best on a Retina display, as almost all iPads being sold now are.
I don't know what your intentions are with the project, but in my experience, 75Mb pretty small. Is 75Mb the iBA file or an exported .ibooks file? Once a book gets exported to .ibooks format, the file size comes down. The iBA files I have worked on are much larger – the smallest being about 975Mb, going up to about 3.25Gb.

  • Full browser window placeholder that acts like background image fill?

I want to be able to set full browser window placeholder that acts like the background image fill function, but be able to then build in a multi-anchored horizontal parallax.  The effect is like we have a background image fill, but can slide horizontally between pages as if they are in a slide show.  Simultaneously, content inside the placeholder such as longer paragraphs of text can scroll down - on top of the image layer, but inside the borders of the image placeholder.  For a clear example of this, see this website: http://argonautinc.com/
I've read and searched but to no avail.  I'm only about one week into Muse, so please forgive me if this is  super simple!   Thanks, Nico

    Hi Nico_Cineaste,
You can achieve the design by using Fullscreen Slideshow in MUSE as object.
Open any page in MUSE , click on the "Object" >> Slideshow >> Fullscreen.
Click on your blank web page.
This will give you a full screen slideshow.
You can now design as per your requirement.
    Thanks

  • Editing the Advanced Image Fill Palette

    Hi.
I have created a shape and I would like to use the advanced image fill option but the colors are so limited.
Is there a way to edit or add to this palette?
    Thank you in advance.
    Rebecca

This just makes it a solid color
In that case, change the opacity to around 50%, circled green in the screen grab below.
If you click the drop arrow obscured by your green arrow you will see what I mean.
That is the colour preset selection box, you can't add or change the presets so you use the colour wheel to set a custom colour value.
The colour wheel changes the values of hue, saturation, brightness and opacity of the object you have set as the background image; a texture, photograph or graphic. rather than use one of the 30 presets.
This is a rectangle shape with a texture applied and a custom cyan setting:

  • Image Fill Files Available?

When Steve Jobs presented Keynote 3, the new 3-D charts had some very nice "Image Fill" woodgrain and marbled textures.
I understand that those textures were included as part of a specific theme, but I would like to be able to use textures like those in a presentation with a different theme.
Are those "Image Fill" files available somewhere? Or is there a way to use "Copy Style" and then save the style?

You can find the woodgrains in the Leatherbook Theme.
Save a blank leatherbook preso (with theme images).
Thanks for your response. The good news is that it sounds like a woodgrain image file can be created.
The bad news is that I have no idea what a "preso" is, nor how to "save a blank preso".
Could you possibly give more specific instructions? Thanks in advance.

  • HELP - Image fills not displaying in Internet Explorer 11

Not sure why but image fills are not displaying in IE 11.  This is critical for me. Any idea why this would be happening?  I thought Muse supports IE11 ?

It seems to be an issue with the global.css file.  If I remove the characters following the ?  I can see the images.. however the images don't take on 100% width.. they are showing as 1/2 the width.

  • Copy or extract an image from image fill

It's pretty frustrating that Numbers puts images into Image Fill, so you can't easily copy/paste an image in a cell.
But it's extra frustrating that I can't seem to find a way to copy or otherwise extract an image that is an image fill in a cell.
That means that the only way to extract the image to use in something else is to expand it as big as possible and then do a screen capture (command-shift-control-4) of that image. A total inefficient hack, sadly.
    Suggestions are very welcome.
Note: comments like "Numbers isn't a database" and "an image is not a formula" are not only unhelpful, but don't actually answer the questions. We're required to use it.

    Start Numbers.
Open the worksheet with the image fill.
Select the (Numbers) cell with the image you want to copy.
Open Inspector from the Numbers toolbar.
Click on either Table Inspector tab or the Fill Inspector tab. For this specific task, there is no difference.
Click on the thumbnail image displayed. The outline should turn blue.
Command key + C (or from the menubar, Edit, Copy) to copy the image to the clipboard.
Now open Preview. If Preview is not already open, clicking on any image listed in Finder (.jpg, .png) will open it.
Now in the Preview menubar, select File, New from Clipboard.
When you click Save, you can save the image in your choice of graphic formats from the dropdown menu.

  • Problem: Image fill creates white border that obscures slide background

    Dear group,
I'm writing on behalf of someone who has a presentation to make soon and who is working in haste. When he uses the "image fill" option on the slide inspector, there's a white border that seems to obstruct the rest of the slide background. Do you have any suggestions for working around this?
    Many thanks!

He could simply paste the image directly onto the slide (or slide master) rather than using an image fill.
