Image folders

I have two animations in one particular folder (Two different animation file is allocated in two pages.) One of "Images" folder has to be renamed to avoid conflict. I can't see any sign of img_src in js files. Default name "Images" is really annoying me. When you creat new animation, is there any way to customise file and folder name?

Try this:
1. Create a new composition. Save it.
2. Copy your desired image folder (let's say "new images") into the folder of your saved composition
3. Import images in your new composition from the new images folder
Animate will now source the images from the new folder.

Numbers in web gallery and resource image folders do not match

When I create a web gallery in Bridge, the numbers in the resource image folders, (Large, medium, thumbnail) do not match the name and numbers in the gallery and are completely out of order. The numbers are long and random. My client is trying to email the small files and cannot locate them easily.

open the page in Contribute, it shows the original image. When I
click Edit page, the image I want on the page is on the page. Not
sure what I've done. Pages were originally created in Microsoft
2007 and uploaded to the web. I am using Contribute to edit, it
seemed like it would be much easier to edit pages.

Flash Galleries generate multiple image folders

Can anyone explain why the Flash templates need to generate 3 image folders (Large, Medium, Small) in addition to the Thumbs? I'm pushing my disk space limit on my hosting server, and wonder if I really need to upload all these, as the combined size of the Small and Medium folders exceeds that of the Large folder, and I don't know what purpose they serve (though of course I don't know how Flash works, at all)

Bluefire developed the Adobe Media Gallery (i.e. the Flash gallery packaged with Lightroom) and have posted a lot of interesting information about it in their blog. Definitely worth reading up on if you plan to use it.

Original Items and JPEG Images folders keep appearing on my desktop

Hi, was hoping someone could help me.
I keep getting empty "Original Items" and "JPEG Images" folders appearing on my desktop (MacBook Pro running Yosemite).
It's been happening for a while now. Every time I try and delete them or move them off the desktop, fresh and empty folders reappear.
I like to keep my desktop clutter free so it's an annoying problem.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

These are probably just files you have inadvertently downloaded from some web site, or perhaps a buggy JavaScript downloaded them to your desktop. You can find out where they were downloaded from by selecting them and choosing File -> Get Info. The More Info section will tell you. See the following example, taken from a file I downloaded not long ago:

Desktop images/folders will not move OS 10.5.8

Desktop images/folders are stuck in place. Can't be moved to the trash or anywhere for that matter.

Not booting in Safe Mode is a serious problem.
Tough without the Install disc, but some things to try...
Does it boot to Single User Mode, CMD+s keys at bootup, if so try...
/sbin/fsck -fy
Repeat until it shows no errors fixed.
(Space between fsck AND -fy important).
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck...

What version of Android phone are you using?
Do you have a built-in file explorer or any third party File explorer installed on your phone?
If no, then i would recommend you to install a File explorer on your phone and then you would be able to browse files from within the Acrobat DC app on your Android phone.

Images (and image folders) in the same folder as Lightroom Catalog?

I'm just switching over from Aperture 3 to Lightroom 4. I'm wondering if its ok (or smart) to keep the images (and image subfolders) in the same folder that the Lightroom.lrcat and Previews files are kept in. I'm trying to better organize my Pictures folder so that there are a whole bunch of separate sub-folders. Thoughts?

In Lightroom, there is no specific location where the photos should go. You can put them wherever you want, based upon your storage needs and hard drive setup.
So, with regards to your specific question, yes you can put the photos in the same folder as where the .lrcat is located, I can't see any harm, but I also don't think you need to do the work to make that happen. You can pretty much leave your photos where they are (which is easier and less time consuming) than moving them to the .lrcat folder, and easier and less time consuming than moving them at all.
In fact, I strongly suggest you change your thought processes from "Where do I put my photos" to "How can I organize my photos". Now that you are a Lightroom user, you organize your photos from within Lightroom, not by moving them here to there, but by adding keywords and other metadata. Organizing, now that you are LR user, is not folders ... it is metadata. Searching, now that you are a LR user, is not done in your operating system and in folders, it is done in LR by searching for keywords and other metadata.

Data Merge from Multiple image folders

I'm on a MAC running CS3 and trying import several thousand images via DataMerge that are all housed in different folders.
It is very difficult to move all the images to a single folder where the Tab Delimited File lives, which I understand is how I'm supposed to use DataMerge.
Does anyone know who to specify the proper path on a MAC that will recognize my each of my folders and files within? I tried every configuration I can think of and nothing is working.
for example here are just a few of what I've tried. Nothing works but logic would say that it should am I wrong?

I saw some tutorial on youtube that said the file had to be in the images folder and then everything I tried seemed to echo that.
I also tried the copy path from InDesign from a placed image to no avail. Then the get info (mac trick) from the finder to get the path. also to no avail.
I even followed Adobe's instructions on the their site

But what I finally found is that the Tab Delimited file first has to be relative to the filepath specified.
ie.
if my images are located in
/Mac HD/Users/Mike/Images/Art/Round1/01.jpg
/Mac HD/Users/Mike/Images/Art/Round1/02.jpg
etc.
and my text file lives in the Art folder. All I have to specify the path name from Round1 onwards, not back to the root level as I thought.
so
/Round1/01.jpg
/Round1/02.jpg
is all I need to include in the text file

BlackBerry Cruve 9380 corrupt/damaged invisible images/folders?

I have a Curve 9380 and in September of last year i went to 2 concerts the day after one another and used my BlackBerry as my camera for both nights. On the first night I took 46 images and on the second night I took 106 images. A few weeks after the shows I decided to place the images into seperate folders on my phone so I could access them easier and also so I could know which photos were from which concert easier.
All was fine up until around mid-december when iI turned my phone on one day and both folders of images had completely dissappeared, the folders were not there, the images were not there and the images had not gone back into my camera folder either. I have tried every solution I have seen online and nothing had worked.
However, about a month later, the folders of images re-appeared on my device with the correct names and correct number of files in each folder. However, the image files are there but are not visible; when i open each folder I can see just blank thumbnails with smaller default image thumbnails in the middle (the usual Green hills. blue sky and sunshine cartoon like images). The number of files are all correct in each folder but each image has exactly the same thumbnail and when i press on each thumbnail to view the photo in full, it just shows me a blank, black photo with a small black and white thumbnail (same as described previously but in black and white) in the middle of the screen.
I have the same problem with every file in each of the 2 folders, I have tried formatting the card before the 2 folders re-appeared and nothing happened and I have also tried accessing the images and folders through plugging my device and card into a computer and that hasn't worked either.
So at this moment in time I have 2 folders with the correct amount of image files in each but no way of actually accessing and viewing them, these photos are really important to me and I would love to know if there is a way of getting them back in full.

ITunes- Image Folders HELP!

I had synced 6 folders of images with iTunes to my iPhone 4. They are categorized & hold many images. Now that iTunes has changed, I can't change, edit, delete, or add to these folders & REALLY need to. How do I sync more images to my phone now?

I know that I can edit them from my computer & I know that I cannot edit them directly from my phone.
I'm asking once I edit them from my computer (add or delete images) how do I RE-sync the edited folder back to my phone?
In iTunes, I can not find where I can sync any images or folders to my phone. The folders that are on my phone now are untouchable.

Can't see image folders to import into LR

Apologies in advance for any duplication, I originally posted this incorrectly.
I can import photos directly from a card via the card reader on my MacBook Pro (OS Mavericks) but I prefer to organise my folder structure and import the images into a folder on the HDD first and then from there import them into Lightroom. Everything worked fine up until upgrading from LR5.2 to 5.3 a few weeks ago. I can see the folders (and images) in the Mac's Finder. However in LR, the folders with the new (as yet not imported images) do not show AT ALL when I try to import the new images (all other folders on the HDD are visible in LR).

Please be more specific.
Are you looking in the Import dialog box, on the left hand side, in the Source panel? Or are you looking in the Library Module, on the left hand side, in the Folders panel? Or are you looking somewhere else?

Relocating Image Folders to External Drive where LR library resides...

I have 12,500 images on my main drive in my Pictures Folder (MAC), and the LR library/catalog file (also on my main drive) automatically looks to that folder when I open LR. But I just moved my LR Folder (library, etc.) from my main drive to an external drive. When I opened LR again and chose the library on the external drive, what shows up in FOLDERS down the left side is my PICTURES folder and all my RAW file folders from my main drive. I've already made a physical copy (by drag/drop) of each of those RAW folders onto the external drive, but how to I get LR to recognize/access those, and not the PICTURES folder on the main drive?

The easiest way is to "loose" the images and then "find" them again. You could remove the images from the drive so LR fails to locate the images, but it's easier just to rename to folder on the main drive that contains all your images.
Then start Lightroom. All your folders will be in red. Right click on the main folder and click "locate missing files" then point to the new location.

Okay, please list the steps you followed. You said you
created a new project. Fair enough. So are we to assume after you
created the project, you then copied the Images folder? Because
immediately after you create a project, I never see an Images
folder. I never have. There is an Images
Pseudo folder listed in the Project Manager pod, but that's
not what we are talking about here. You are referring to a physical
folder. At least, that's how I'm reading it.
Or are you creating a project by importing content from
elsewhere? If so, that could explain things.
