Image Hover in Muse

I'm trying to do a basic image swap using hover/rollover state in Adobe Muse. Any pointers or ways to achieve that would be great!

Simply create a rectangle of desired size and with the Normal state being selected, use the Fill options to fill an image within the rectangle. Then select the Rollover state from the States panel and assign an image using the Fill options again. This does a basic image swap using Hover/Rollover states in Muse.

To add images press CTRL+D and then select the image and place it where you want.
To hyperlink it go to the top menu and there should be Hyperlink folowed by a box. Enter your URL to link in there.
You can also use the slideshow widget should you want to make a slideshow.

Centering a full width image in Adobe Muse

Can anyone help. I am trying to centre a full width image in adobe muse but I am getting nowhere! I am trying to keep the center of the image in the middle of the browser no matter what the browser width. I am using the image as a fill in a full width box and have tried centering it using the fill options (top centre) and using the align (central ) tool for the box but neither seem to work. CSS mouseover image hover effect in iWeb?

I've been trying to create an image hover effect when placing the mouse over an image or clicking on the image on my website made in iWeb. The only problem is that the HTML widget doesn't allow the image hover effect to only activate when the mouse is over the widget and not the image. If anyone know some simple code I could put into my website's HTML file, it would be great. It actually doesn't have to be a hover effect, the image just has to change on mouseover.

You originally asked for CSS and its better to use this since the browser only has to load one image instead of two.

Cool image hover extension wanted

A few weeks back I was browsing adobe exchange and came
across a neat little image hover state. Now that I want it I can't
find it even after going through my browser history. Any ideas?
When the cursor was over an image, a new image hovered over the
top. This image was pinned to the cursor position by its bottom
left corner and moved with the cursor as long as it remained in the
area of the initial image. Once off the image the hover state
cleared.
It needs to be mac compatible.

How do I set the default Hero image in a Muse slideshow widget when using Free Form Thumbnails?

Hello,
I am trying to find out how to set the default Hero image when using a Muse slideshow widget and in the Layout section I have the "Free Form Thumbnails"
box checked.
In other words, when the page loads I want to define which image displays as the first Hero image.
If I do not select the "Free Form Thumbnails" option, the top left Thumbnail image always displays first. This is fine.
But when I select the Free Form Thumbnails" checkbox I don't know how to define which image shows first as the Hero image.

Okay… I think I've worked out how to do it!
[1] First have the "Free Form Thumbnails" box UNCHECKED.
[2] Organize the Thumbnails and place the image that you want to be the first Hero image when the page loads in the top left corner of the Thumbnails group.
[3] When you "Preview Site In Browser" the Thumbnail image in the top left corner will always display as the first Hero image.
[4] If you want "Free Form Thumbnails" go ahead now and SELECT that checkbox.
[5] Whichever image was in the top left of the Thumbnail group before you checked "Free Form Thumbnails" will still show up as the first Hero image when the page loads, regardless of where that thumbnail image is located within the Thumbnail images group.

Hi,
The sequence of operation you are doing to set the home page for public users is correct. You are getting the login screen as the "custom page group" selected as "home page" has not been granted to public.
Also, while logging-out, it is normal behaviour to get the screen where it shows the list of partner applications from where user has been logged-out. When you click on "Return" button, you will get to the "home page" set above.

How to import URL image into Adobe Muse ?

Hello dear Adobe Community,
I have a (silly) question, I'm building my website on muse and I can't find the way to import URL image.
Are you forced to have all your image stocked in website ? I used to have everything on Google Plus to save me some storage place for the HD image and then to load it via URL in my old website.
Is there anyway to import URL image ?

In case of google plus you can do that. Please follow the steps below.
Step 1. Get the url of the image from google plus by Right click > Copy Image URL
Step 2. Now you need to insert the HTML codes mentioned below in Muse by going to Object > Insert HTML
<img src="ImageURL" width="400" height="400">
You need to replace "ImageURL" with the link you copied from step 1. Please make sure the images are public.

You can use the image as browser fill and then set the position of image such that it remains to its position. This can be used as a workaround for using image as browser height.

Problème taille image dans diaporama muse

J'ai créé mon propre site, je suis en train de créer celui de mon amie.
Dans mon site, j'avais fait des diaporamas et je pouvais changer la taille du cadre de l'image, l'image contenue dedans changeait de taille et ce afin d'arriver à la taille désirée (sans dépasser les 100% afin de garder une qualité correcte)
Cependant, je n'arrive pas à faire de même avec le site de mon amie.
J'ai essayé deux solutions :
- créer un nouveau diaporama. Avec les 3 images inclues, le changement de taille du cadre occasionne bien le changement de taille de l'image inclue mais lorsque mes images s'y trouve cela ne fonctionne plus.
- copier/coller mon diaporama et y insérer les photos pour le site de mon amie.
Aucune des deux solutions ne fonctionne.
Et pourtant, les images ont les mêmes dimensions en pixels.
Je colle ici 4 impressions d'écran afin que l'on puisse bien voir de quoi je parle.
la 01 est le diaporama avec l'affichage d'une de mes photos (à la taille qui est celle souhaitée pour mon amie)
la 02 est le même diaporama avec l'affichage d'une photo de mon amie (on peut voir qu'elle est bien plus petite)
la 03 et la 04 sont les informations de chaque photo (où l'on peut voir que les dimensions sont quasi les mêmes (1032x709 / 1068x715) - ce qui fait que je ne comprends pas d'où vient le problème)

La mauvaise, c'est que non, pas moyen de faire ça en standard dans Muse
La bonne, c'est que vous pouvez développer directement dessus, parce que le code html généré est accessible, mais ça va quand même vous demander un peu d'efforts.
L'autre bonne nouvelle, c'est que vous pouvez demander une fonction manquante : proposer une idée qui, selon le nombre de votants et la complexité pourra être implémentée en natif.

How do you control hiDPI image optimization in Muse CC 2014?

I'm using the new hi-DPI feature in Muse CC 2014 that supports image assets for hi resolution screens. The website I'm building is a portfolio site and need to make sure that images look good on both 72 dpi and hi-res screens. I'm finding that Muse is over optimizing @2x images when exporting for preview—especially for the assets used for 72dpi screens. When I export the site to preview in browser, I'm assuming that is the image quality that can be expected when publishing the site. Can I just optimize the images using Photoshop and replace them on the FTP host site after publishing or is there a better method? Is it possible to preview the manually optimized images before publishing?

Okay, I'm answering my own question since I figured out at least one solution. Probably pretty basic stuff for anyone that's familiar with Muse and publishing, but this is my first Muse site.
From Muse, export the html files to your local drive.
View the site in your browser and check for image quality.
Replace files in the "images" folder that are not good quality with images that you've optimized manually, making sure you use the exact same file names.
Refresh your browser to view new images.
I'm testing on a 72 dpi desktop and a hi-res display laptop. It doesn't look like the files I'm using are too large. Pages should still load quickly.
Once your satisfied with the new images upload to FTP host.
I think this works fairly well, but if anyone has a better method, please post. I also am interested in using business catalyst to track traffic on the site. I would imagine you can simply replace image files directly on the FTP server if you publish using Catalyst.

Image Sizes in Muse

I'm curious how large of an image can Muse display. For example, I like photography sites where the images fill up a large part of the screen. From the sample sites in the Muse section of the Adobe site, I didn't see any images shown at my preferred size. Thanks for your assistance.

I have tested with images as large as 6000x5000 pixels and Muse exports just fine - although you would rarely ever use such large images online.
However you would need to consider the accumulated size of your project and resulting published content when working with such large files. Optimization is the key.
