The UI element Image enables you to integrate graphics into the Web application in a format that is processed by the Web Server u2013 for example, GIF, JPG, and PNG format. Height and width of the graphic can be specified using the properties height and width. The graphic is displayed without borders.
saveur image as mime
with Mime Objects u cn upload doc , jpeg, or giff files from our local system into the webdypnpro system .
Right click on ur component->mime object->import
In the transaction sicf/bc/webdynpro , u cn check your component name there you can view the mime objects created by you .

Upload image using webdynpro abap

Gudday,
I have a requirement to provide three functionalities like
1)browse 2)upload 3)review the image using webdynpro ABAP.
I tried with functionn module 'ARCHIV_CREATE_DIALOG_META' which uploads images..but if i try to use the samething using service call in webdynpro ..it is throwing a dump..saying...'ARCHIV ID OF CLASS BASED NOT OCCURRED'
Please suggest me how to proceed further ....its high priority....

hi,
right click ur application and then click on create mime object.
with Mime Objects u cn upload doc , jpeg, or giff files from our local system into the webdypnpro system .
You can even try creating the MIME objects in webdynrpo abap .
Right click on ur component->mime object->import
after importing you can see that image into your component as MIME object .Now insert a UI element image into your view layout .
Go to the source property of IMAGE element and select F4 option , u will find a window is opening with some tabs
Select tab COMPONENT IMAGES and component name select your component .
You will find the image which you have imported into this section just select the image and save it.
In the transaction sicf/bc/webdynpro , u cn check your component name there you can view the mime objects created by you .

use this code to create resource and you need to set this value to the context created to display the image suppose in the image UI and set the source property with this attribute:-
IWDResource res=WDResourceFactory.createCachedResource(b,"MyImage",WDWebResourceType.JPG_IMAGE);
IPrivateAppView.IVn_ImageTabElement imageEle=wdContext.createVn_ImageTabElement();
imageEle .setVa_Name(res.toString());
wdContext.nodeVn_ImageTab().addElement(imageEle);

Custom loading image in WebDynpro iView

Hi All,
I have replaced the default loading image in the com.sap.portal.appintegrator PAR with a custom image.
As a result the new custom loading image is being shown in all iviews made fom that PAr e.g.BSP Iview, IAC iview etc.
But only the webdynpro iview is still not able to show that image,but is instead showing no image during loading.
Have checked every possibility.
Can anyone suggest what could be the problem??

Complex layout and images on webdynpro

Hello:
I've been using webDynpro for some apps, and I couldn't help noticing how "hars" the final GUI is... is there a way that I can import an HTML file and start importing eviews from there?
You know websites usually start in photoshop, I create the layout, images, branding there and then export as -> html and images so I get a really cool layout (designers point of view)
Then I'd go to dreamweaver and insert all php jsp and programmatic stuff... I'd like to import the htmls into webdynpro instead of dreamweaver, is that possible? if not, how can I embed things like flash, javascript, etc?

Displaying image in webdynpros

Hi
Im new to webdynpros. I went through the tuorial but unfortunately I do not understand the context part of it.
I created a component and all i want to do is add an image. I insert child : Image. In the Element properties of the Image, in source..how do i add the image here?

Hi Namira,
The "source" should be the path of the image and the "alt" should be the tooltip text
1. You can copy the image files to the following directory "C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\temp\webdynpro\web\sap.com\tcwddispwda\global\sapIcons" and you can mention the source as "~sapicons/<<img file name>>"
2. Or you can create a folder in your server hard drive and maintain all your images in that folder. Create a HTTP alias and point the image to that folder. You can use the "http://servername:port/<<alias name>>/<<image file name>>"

You can use the approach mentioned by Armin, but if you would like to use the images across all your applications, then you can follow the steps what I mentioned, so that the images will be maintained at one location.

created a value node image attached this node to image ui source property
in implementation
weContext.currentcontextelment.setImage("Lotus.jpg");
i am not abel to see image
where am i going wrong

Hi Murali,
I hope the above mentioned answers have solved ur problem. If yes then please close this thread else in webdynpro to show an image is very easy. As you mentioned you need to copy the image and paste it at Project>src>components>application copmponent>paste it. now you just need to got to the properties of the particular UI element in which you want to show the image. Then go to the imagesource property give the name exaclty similar to that of your pasted file for example if it's Lotus.jpg then give Lotus.jpg or if its Lotus then need not to add .jpg only add Lotus. This will definately work.

->Give values and description in the enumeration type.
-> Declare a value attribute of Simple type in View Controller.

How to upload images on WebDynpro(ABAP) screens

Hello All,
Could any one please help on how to create/change the image (jpeg/any file) dynamically on WebDynpro screen. I have seen couple of examples for uploading the text files in WDR_TEST_EVENTS, WDR_TEST_WEB_ICONS, but not found any standard program that explains about uploading images.
Requirement: User has to select any image/thumbnail from local PC and it should be displayed on main screen, it's not only from MIME directory.
We have the same logic in BSP Application (CFX_RFC_UI) to upload the thumbnail but am not sure whether we can use the same logic in WDC or not?
I have seen the same logic for WebDynpro (JAVA) here:

Pass image from webdynpro app through context nodes

Hi All,
Just wondering is there any way I can pass dynamically images from my WDA app to my interactive form through an XML interface?
I can upload my images into the MIME repository during design time, can I get the XSTRINGs of these, bind it to a context attribute then use the XML interface into the Interactive Form and have it bind that into an image field ? (do I need to convert XSTRINGs into base64 encoded formats?)
Sorry I'm a bit confused, a lot of the blogs I've seen all use ABAP dictionary based interfaces, is this the only way you can pass graphics from WDA into an Adobe Form dynamically?
Also, what do we need to do to pass values from our WDA context into an ABAP dictionary interface form?

Hi Danny,
If you use file upload UI element in webdynpro, it will store the file in xstring format. Am not sure about images, but i think it will upload images also.
what do you mean by ABAP dictionary interface form? is it adobe form? if yes, then in your case quite simple.
first use upload ui element then read the xstring attribute value then try to bind the same value to datasource property of adobe interactive form.

Image disappears - WebDynpro Java

     I have a WebDynpro Java application, which has image, and other UIs. There is a image displayed in the image UI. When there is some actin in the UI, by clicking any of the UI, the image disappears, after other action it comes back again. Where could be the problem ?

I am giving here the hierarchy of the Layout.

            |___ScrollContainer (child of TransparentContainer_2)
                     |___ImageUI_2 (child of ScrollContainer)
There is a drop down which has values 'Fit to Window' and '100 %'. Either one of the UI's 'ImageUI_1' or 'ImageUI_2' will be visible based on the drop down value.

I am attempting to insert an image into a view at runtime, using lines of code.
I know that this code must be present in the WDDOMODIFYVIEW method of that particular view.
