Image incomplete error message

I produce a 2 hour DVD every week for stock car racing at Charlotte County Motorsports Park in Florida. I use iMovie & iDVD. This week's DVD is #38. Last year I did 29 2 hour DVDs. No problems in 67 DVDs at all, till now. In the Creating your DVD pane, during the burn process, after it burns the menus, it tells me "image incomplete". No warnings in the Map window, or any problems I can locate in iMovie. It will not read or play in a set-top DVD player, but will play in the Mac. I see all the chapter menus with audio, but, it will not play the chapters or the whole movie.
Please help! I need this DVD for sale Fri night, 11/9/07.
Thanx

Have you recently switched medias by any chance?
If it's the very same media that's always worked perfectly in the past, then please drag and drop the plist for iDvd to the trash and Restart your mac.
com.apple.iDvd.plist
Remember to Repair Permission thereafter.
Also please include as much info on your mac as possible including available HD space on the startup volume (assuming you have not added any ext. devices recently and if so please disconnect them while troubleshooting). Btw use Verbatim / Maxell DVD-R while we troubleshoot this issue. Thereafter you can use whatever you please.
Are you able to make a disc image to the desktop (from the file menu in iDvd)? if so, use apple's DVD Player app to test for proper playback. This will help narrow down the issue to either the media or your mac.
Good luck.

• Scripts/Image Processor Error Message

When using Image Processor on Photoshop CS5, what does the following error message mean and how can I fix this issue? ReferenceError: Window does not have a constructor : 327

Contact Adobe support, you hit a bug. I never seen that one pop up before.
But in general what it is saying is it is trying to create a window and to do so it needs to reference a constructor.
That constructor should have been automatically created or a programmer creates one from scratch, that depends on how the code was created. Since that bug normally does not appear, I would say a some code pointed to the wrong location in memory hence the word reference. (In generic terms reference means to point to a location in memory)
Try it again and see if it repeats itself. I think Adobe will tell you that you need to reinstall photoshop, but its better that they tell you that as I could easily be misinterpreting that error message.

• Image Processor error message

Issue:
On Mac 10.9.2, running Adobe CC, I attempt to convert a selection of PSD files using Image Processor through Bridge. I get an error stating "Sorry, I could not process the following files".
Image Processor supports conversion from PSD files as far as I know. Why is this not working?
I see on the forums that this error message sometimes comes up when you are using the "Run Action" function, but I am not using this.

After a stunningly unhelpful chat session with Adobe Support, it seems that the issue stems from the fact that the PSD files were originally EPS.
You see, I actually need to end up with TIFF files, but Image Processor doesn't accept EPS.
So I thought I would have to manually go through and save each EPS file as a TIFF in Photoshop--but it doesn't even give me that option! Did some testing and this seems to be because the EPS files are in Duotone mode.
I can only choose from Photoshop, Large Document Format, Photoshop EPS, Photoshop PDF, and Photoshop Raw.
As a workaround, I decided to manually convert to PSD, thinking that then I could run them through Image Processor and get my TIFFs.
But now Image Processor is rejecting the PSD files.
What to do?

• Image Mask Error Message when Reducing Size of PDF

With my Mac, I embed jpg images in Microsoft Word documents, save them as pdf's, and reduce them. Size reduction often fails, with the error message "The PDF document contained image masks that were not downsampled".  Jpegs don't have masks, so I have no idea how to fix this problem, and an extensive google search was of no assistance.

Use PNG images instead use an application such as Graphics Converter, Fireworks to convert to .png from .jpg.
Will have much better images that do not degrade each time they are opened and most often they end up being same size than jpeg's
Jpeg unless you save as a special type is a Lossy format and each time is open (and decompressed) then closed (and then compressed) losses detail
Just open and magnify a jpeg after its been open 5-20 times you notice an out of focus halo looking similar looking to water spilled on paper wil pen ink on it. And it get progressively worse. PNG on the other hand is not lossy and if the original is saved as png never degrade even when reduced in size or or expand within reason in size.  I've being dealing with photos screenshots, images and other for years. Despite what other may say on this list may say if you want an image with little trouble for years of service save as png.

• Image Capture Error Message Pain in the B*** after installing 10.4.10

I installed the 10.4.10 upgrade, and ever since then when I switch on my Brother DCP 115 printer, I get an error message linked to Image Capture that the connection to the machine has failed, that I should check the cables, switch it off and on an try again.
But there is no connection failure, the machine works just fine. But I'm stuck with this error message that won't disappear unless I reboot the Mac.
I tried everything already. Resetting the printer system, setting up a new connection, shutting of Image Capture from accessing the scanner, reinstalling the drivers and software, repairing permissions, nothing works.
Strange phenomenon: after a reboot, everything works fine. After my Mac has been switched of for a couple of hours, the problem returns.
Mac support in Holland doesn't know of anything. They suggested to archive and repair, promised to mail me a how-to article, which never arrived, and I don't have a clue.

I have the identical problem except my printer is a Brother MFC440CN, so the problem is not printer model specific, perhaps not even unique to Brother.
The really annoying thing is that I cannot get rid of the message without using Restart or Shutdown. The OK button doesn't close it. The error message is [MTW005]
I think Apple needs to get on this and other issues associated with 10.4.10.

• Pixel Bender - 'image dimensions' error message

I can use Pixel Bender in Photoshop as 64bit, but not 32bit.  Is that usual to be able to only use 64bit?  Also, when I use it, I have to resize the photo at exactly 1020px on the longest side.  If I size it any less, PS stops working. If I size it any larger, I get an error message that says -- 'The image dimensions exceed the hardware capabilities of your GPU'.  Does this mean I need a different Graphics Card.  This is the only program I get this message on.
Thank you for any help  you can provide.

Turn off dual GPU usage in your card prefs.

• Image Processor Errors (Message #1344) - CS2 & 3

Just started having this issue. Basically the machine tells me: SORRY, I could not process the following file: (file location/file name).
I have searched the forums and found nothing which would help.
As of last Thursday (3/12/09) the processor worked fine. Since the problem began I HAVE been able to re-process a jpg file (previously converted from NEF) but it will NOT handle tiffs, psd or nef format. This is true of both CS2 and & CS3.
Early in the process I got a message asking if I wanted more information about the error and it gave me a small window saying it was error message #1344. I have not been able to find information about that error number.
I have re-installed CS3 but this has not made any difference.
Thank you now for any suggestions.
Macbook - 2ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
OS 10.4.11
3 GB 667MHZ RAM
Memory set at 70%.

It means that your old account is corrupt.
You could start by running Disk Warrior and Repairing Permissions.
Then try doing an Archive & Install followed by updating to the current OSX version by using the COMBO updater (you can download that from Apple).
Then try pulling the whole Prefs. folder out of your old Account and letting new Prefs form themselves for everything and only add back any old prefs that you find that you really need.
Lots of luck

Try the links in "More Like This" to the right, and also google "Import Error (-9912)"

• 40D raw .CR2 files still causing 'Unsupported Image File' error

I have the most recent version of Leopard 10.5.1 and the newest version of Aperture 1.5.6 (2J2). Often times I open a RAW image shot with a Canon 40D (.cr2 file), I get the red screen "unsupported Image File" error message. Color mode is RGB. These were shot with RAW plus JPEG (not SRAW). It doesn't happen on every image shot at the same time in the same way, just some of the images. Can anyone advise why I would still be having this issue so long after Apple is offering 40D support? I've tried rebuilding my library data base to no success. I've tried reinstalling aperture. What next? Getting very frustrated, thanks!

I use Nikons and sometimes get a message like that. This might not be Aperture causing this. Blow out the connector holes on your memory cards and pins inside the cameras where the card connects. If the error is on the same frames all the time reformat your card a couple of times before using and make sure the card is seated properly. Don't turn off the camera immediately after taking the shot but let the camera finish the process of writing the photo frame onto the card.
Have you opened the frames in Preview to check if it see it?

• S9e MBR Error Message

I have a new S9e.  Everything went fine until I installed IE8 over IE7 supplied with the machine.  On re-booting I got the message "Master Boot Record Error - Press any key".  This happens every time I start the machine. When I do press a key the machine boots as normal and there don't appear to be any ill effects.  However, clearly something is wrong and I reluctant to ignore it.  It is definitely related to IE8 since when I recovered my original factory image the error message disappeared, but it reappeared when I installed IE8 again.
Anyone any suggestions?  Is it something I should worry about?
Thanks for any help.
John

Hi John, I'm assuming you can carry through with the boot process by hitting the enter key. All appears Ok. When I had this error on my desktop PC it was due to my CMOS BIOS chip choosing a different boot device than drive 0. The battery backing up the CMOS chip on the motherboard was failing and causing incorrect info to the boot proces. It could be your backup battery or someother problem on the motherboard. I wouldn't think IE8 caused this but with Microsoft, anything is possible. Go into setup and check what the boot structure is. I'ts usually floppy drive, CD drive the drive 0. Good luck.

• Error message when uploading book for printing. All images are jpg and rgb. Could they be too large to upload? What size is required and how do I reduce size in Aperture?

I receive an error message when I upload my book for printing. Not sure what the problem is. All my images are jpg and rgb. Could they be too large as it takes about 15minutes to upload to Apple. How do I reduce the size of the image in Aperture?

Hi Leonie,
Thanks for your reply.
Error message below. The preview is fine . I can discount the first 2messages as its a new computer so plenty of disk space and upload doesn't seem to be interrupted. I have uploaded to iphoto before. have tried to upload 3times with the same error message. I had to photo my slides with a Kaiser Baas photo maker , which apparently doesn't scan but takes photos in megapixels of the slides. I am wondering now if the format is incompatible though they are jpg files or the colour type wrong. The image files are  around 1-3 mb each and  72 ppi. I think  I will now scan them properly with a scanner to 300dpi anyway to improve quality.
Apple  talks about image files not being too big for uploading but gives no sizing of what too big is?
Error message
1. Upload Error. Loss of connection or file corruption during order upload may cause an incomplete order. Resubmitting your order usually resolves this issue.
2. Low Disk Space. If your computer is running on low disk space, your files may be assembled incorrectly. Create more space by deleting unused files.
3. Unreadable PDF file or image files. Files are sometimes assembled incorrectly due to CMYK or Grayscale color space. Use the RGB color space for best results.

• Error message "This program cannot display the webpage when uploading images to Cafe Press

I have had a Café Press shop for five years and except for sometimes being slow, no problems uploading images. Now, suddenly for 3 days I get the message "This program cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
• You are not connected to the Internet.
• The website is encountering problems.
• There might be a typing error in the address.
What you can try:
Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.
Retype the address."
I got the messsage about half way through the uploading of an image. People suggested using "firefox" instead of IE so I now get a similar error message from Firefox. I signed in, clicked on the image I wanted to upload and hit "upload" and get message as follows:
Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at members.cafepress.com.
* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
None of this makes sense because I WAS connected to the internet (obviously) or I wouldn't have been able to sign in, go to my media basket, browse for the image and click "upload" and watch as the progress bar showed percentage of upload such as 20%, etc. and even went to 100% at times before giving me the error message. Plus I couldn't make a typing error since I wasn't typing anything but uploading an image. Any suggestions?
Whatever your suggestion, I need step by step instructions as I am totally computer illiterate. I don't even know what a "proxy" is and don't know if I have a "firewall" as the message suggests. I have "Comodo" security and am using Windows XP.
I contacted CP which was no help at all. All they did was tell me to clear my cache which I do after every session. Thanks
