Image Links Not Linking in Dreamweaver

I am evaluating Dreamweaver 8 but may not have it setup
correctly. When I click on Image using Local View, Remote view or
Testing Server I always get sent to the Image directory instead of
linking to the page specified in the link.
code
<td><a
href="visitor_registration_menu.cfm:><img
src="images/homepageregistration.gif" width="300" height="100"
border="0"></a>
I am upgrading from ColdFusion 5 to ColdFusion MX7 and Studio
4 to Dreamweaver 8. I don't know if my local, remote and testing
environments are not setup correctly or if it is the act of moving
old code to Dreamweaver. ColdFusion MX7 code works in Internet
explorer, so it is not the code per se.
Also, I am using IIS as my web server.
I am pointing local view, remote view and testing sever to
one place:
c:/inetpub/wwwroot/GrandLakeFunSeekers
Is this correct?
Thanks

In design view, you will not see this kind of interactivity.

You get that when you double click on the image. Try control
clicking on it
instead.

    Banner image will not display in Dreamweaver; can you help?

    If the banner image is not displaying, it is either not in an acceptable web file format (optimized for web as jpg, gif or png). Or it is corrupted.  Or the path to the image file on server is broken.

  • Image Preview not working in Dreamweaver CC

    I recently switched from Dreamweaver CS5 to Dreamweaver CC and my images don't preview in Dreamweaver CC interface "Design" mode/tab at all. My images are hosted at an Adobe Scene7 URL that I know the image path is correct because it works when I preview using the image path URL.
    I need to get these images to preview in Dreamweaver so that I can ad hotspot areas to them and also visualize what it looks like before making web pages live.

    DW should automatically show you those files in Design View.
    Unless you are using a firewall, that should not be checked. If you have not defined a site yet, that would never have come up to be checked.
    Does View > Refresh Design View (F5) do anything for you?
    What happens when you switch to Live View on the page(s) in question?

  • Email signature links not linking

    Hello. After unsuccessfuly trying to import my signatures from my MBP running Mountain Lion to my new iMac running Mavericks, I tried to create new signatures from scratch. I followed the basic guidelines: created a dummy signature, edited it (using TextEdit) so that it looks all nice in HTML, and then attaching it to my account. When I send it to a test account, I see the hyperlinked text as blue, but it doesn't actually link to the URL - it's as if the href links are dead. Here's the signature doc:
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
    Content-Type: text/html;
              charset=us-ascii
    Message-Id: <[email protected]>
    Mime-Version: 1.0 (Mac OS X Mail 7.2 \(1874\))

    <a href=“http://www.oahuhomebuyers.com” target=“_blank”>oahuhomebuyers.com</a><br>

    The signature looks correct when received -- the links just don't go anywhere, i.e. the browser isn't even called, although when the cursor goes over the text, the pointer changes to the hand. I tried locking the .mailsignature file as well as I've seen that advice in a few place, but no effect.

    Wyodor,
    1. It may be messy or it may not. It seems that is opinion as opposed to fact. I am not a designer. I am a guy who has iLife and so I have iWeb & a need. Mac makes it easy for those of us with no designer experience to feel we can do something. It may not be up to designer's standards but it's what we have.
    2. Why two email addresses? One is direct link and the other is in case someone would rather copy & paste the address in case they are at another computer and do not wish to use the default email of the host computer. I don't know. It was a suggestion I took. Doesn't seem harmful to me...
    3. Out of focus? Where? There are no options to focus anything and all it is is typed words. I cannot see how it is out of focus.
    4. I have looked and looked again at these pages. Code means nothing to me. So all I can do is look at the page itself and try to figure things out. What is frustrating is that things look different depending on which computer and which browser I view them on. While working here on iWeb I see certain results but I don't have several computers and every browser available all the time. So how am I supposed to fix anything when it looks fine when I working on it? I just discovered yesterday while at a friend's house that on IE the site had two hit counters I cannot see on Camino, Safari or Firefox. I even thought I had removed the hit counters mostly because I couldn't see them when I put them on.
    5. I have used a font that may not be recognized. But it is recognized on the other pages. My problem is mostly - but not entirely - with this page. All I see is that even where the pages are similar, they read differently. I have nothing blocking these links any more than I might on other pages and yet this one page will not link.
    Thanks for your help, though. As I said, the code here is Greek to me. So I cannt use it or even recognize if its helpful...

  • Links not linking on one page. Differences in Firefox, Camino & Safari...

    Hello, I doubt this is a new question... My web site is hearth2hearth.com My problem(s) is/are: The links at the bottom of the "Who's in the Kitchen?" page (email & [email protected]) do not work when published. These same links on all other pages do work. On this same page there is a photo and a caption beneath it that are both links to another site. Neither work. All links to other pages on my site (at the top of all pages) work fine. However (a separate problem) some of those links at the top of the pages are of a different color than I chose, and/or are underlined when I deselected Underline in the Format section of the Link Inspector. I have looked at the site on Firefox, Camino & Safari and there are differences on all three. (Firefox has never updated critical changes I made a while ago. Safari shows a hit counter twice that I thought I removed or at least I never see it anywhere else.) My host is not .mac, but hostmonster.co I have not yet begun tearing my hair out in frustration, but my hands are beginning to reach for my scalp...HELP! And thank you in advance.

  • Website image and zip file download links not working in Dreamweaver Air application

    Hi
    I have successfully created and AIR app for an existing business website using the Dreamweaver AIR Extension. The site works very well in all respects except for the part where we have high resolution images and zip files available for download. The download links refuse to do anything, and right-click (PC) / ctl-click (Mac) does nto work either.
    I suspect this may be an AIR sandbox/security issue but am I correct and what can I do to fix it?
    Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to give.

    I am now facing the same problem. I wrote a servlet .
    code like this

             String agent = request.getHeader("USER-AGENT");

           os.close();
    and i open a new window refer to above jsp ,also i set a breakPoint at os.close(),the program has passed through,but nothing happened in the window.
    If i use IE or FF ,the browser will open a small window to allow me select whether open or  save the file.So can anybody give me some advice.Is it because air using webkit engine and the engine does not do this kind of job?

  • Early storage scenario where a scanned image is not linking to the MIRO

    Hello All, I'm running into an issue and could use some help. I'm using an early storage scenario with a third party content server integration. After scanning in a batch of FI documents, I go to trans OAWD and bring the docs into SAP and work items are created for the SAP users. The SAP users go into their workplace inboxes to process their documents. They bring up the image in a viewer and click on PROCESS which calls the MIRO transaction. They complete the transaction and click save. The document is created and produces a doc number, we go to trans MIR4 to view the document and it is there and complete but there is no link created between the miro transaction and the scanned image.The attachment list is empty and there is no entry created in table TOA01. If I choose the object services tool bar and store a business document from there, the link does appear and an attachment is made. I can get the attachment to work manually using the object services tool bar in MIR4 but not automatically in MIRO.
    To make matters worse, this does work automatically in the DEV environment, but not in QA after we transported the changes.
    Any suggestions or ideas on how to get the link to occur automatically in QA would be great.

  • Main image is not loading in dreamweaver, but can see it everywhere else

    I have an image that I need to imagemap, but it will not show up in Dreamweaver and I cant figure out why. I checked the link to the image and it worked, and the page works fine when I preview in firefox, but I still need to imagemap it. I saved the html page from photoshop with save for web and devices. Its all one big image, no slices. I've tried closing and restarting Dreamweaver a few times, but it doesnt work. I've imagemapped other simular pages and they loaded fine.

    This should never be in the head of the document:
    <div align=center>
    And the closing tag </div>
    should never occur AFTER the </body> and </html> tags.
    I wouldn't bet big money on it, but those errant tags might be what are causing your troubles.

    Hey cdawaters,
    Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
    Do you get any specific errors when you try to synchronize the media?  Also are you using a PC or Mac?
    Also have you tried uninstalling BlackBerry Link and re-installing it?
    I look forward to your reply.

  • Image Map not working in Dreamweaver CC

    I'm trying to create an image map over a jpeg but when I try to draw a rectangle over the image, a grey stroke gets placed over the image then moves with the cursor.
    Here is the only code on the page. Any ideas as to why this isn't working?
    <img src="/SampleImage.jpg" alt="" width="900" height="2779" style="margin: 5px; width: 649px; height: 2000px;"/>

    Let me see if I have this right...
    1. From Design View, you are clicking your image to select it
    2. You are then selecting the Rectangle tool from the bottom left of the Properties window
    3. You are then clicking and dragging on the image in Design View to create your map area
    4. DW puts a grey line around the image and moves it instead of adding the image map and area tags?
    Run your page for code errors at http://validator.w3.org. I can't duplicate what you describe and DW will do strange things when code errors are present, it could be an error DW doesn't know how to fix that's causing the normal image map functionality to fail.
    If you have clean code and are doing what I list above and it's still not working, it may be time to clear the program cache:Deleting a corrupted cache file

  • Table image not linking in html object

    I have created a table in Dreamweaver and verified that it is correct by previewing in several browsers. Once I paste it into Muse however, an image that loads fine from Dreamweaver becomes a question mark in Muse layout and published views.
    Here is a link: http://corehog.businesscatalyst.com/small-size-finishing-tools.html
    The first table is the  trial table in html, the other 2 are just images.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Ok, I've run into a few snags. First of all my admin console does not have all the options you show in the screenshot. Most signifagantly File Manager. I made sure the Images cart-pl-n.gif and cart-pl-ro.gif by just pasting them on the page then publishing, I then double checked their presence by checking in Edit mode. I also tried to relink the images in Edit mode but with the rollover, the top one is presenting itself with the alt text and the image underneath is just and illusive flash I cannot connect with.
    Is it there something goofy in the code?
    <td><a href="http://corehog.businesscatalyst.com/cart.html" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('Cart','','../../../www.corehog.businesscatalyst.com/images/car t-pl-ro.gif',1)"><img src="../../../www.corehog.businesscatalyst.com/images/cart-pl-n.gif" alt="shopping cart" width="26" height="23" class="imagecontrol" id="Cart2"></a></td>

    I really appreciate your help!

    It is not a bug, you might be using IE in Windows server 2012 and and browser might be restricting your site actions to respond properly.
    Check this in a different browser or access site in a differ OS.
