That's unfortunate, because it would appear that the cable is pretty much toast. If it wasn't before, it pretty much is now that you've cracked it open.
Either borrow one, or bite the bullet and buy one locally. You're not getting anywhere with that one.

    If I'm not mistaken, these are the specs of your machine:
    3rd Generation Intel Core i5-3210M, 2.5GHz
    6GB RAM
    750GB 5400rpm Hard Drive
    15.6-Inch LED Screen, Intel HD 4000 Graphics
    Windows 8 (64-bit)
    That is just barely above the minimum requirements to even run AE. You will have to work pretty smart to run smoothly with AE. Make sure you don't have multiprocessing turned on, you don't have enough RAM for it at all.
    What are your memory and multiprocessing settings?
    You may not be able to RAM preview full HD on it. Just preview a frame at a time at full res if you must and use a half-res RAM preview for checking timing.
    Read this: optimizing for performance: Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects it might help.
    Or get a more powerful desktop instead.

    iCloud is not local storage and has nothing to do with your situation.

    I switched the usb port and did the whole recovery holding of the buttons ect... And it worked, the computer detected the phone and i was able to click restore. However, the computer says preparing iphone for restore and it is still doing the restarting thing where the apple fades away and then comes back like it is restarting. If i can somehow get past this i will be able to go back to factory settings and resolve my problem, but this is where i am stuck.

    so I've been working on a little match game. old school match two cards. Keep in mind I'm still pretty fresh at coding so I've had help getting this far. So I don't have anything complex in this game, no scoring or anything. Two matched items, they go to the left and keep matching. Ok so this code has got me a good way, but after reviewing the game, any additiona clicks of cards can muck up the game. I'm wondering if someone can help me adjust this section of code to do what I want. so basically click one card, it'll come up, click the second card and it'll come up, but I want to disallow the touching of any selected card (so when it hits the x/y points I've designated to show it's selected), or clicking of any cards while the pair is showing on the screen. So basically allow only two clicks at a time, hope this makes sense. Here's what I have right now.

    add all your cards to a parent movieclip, eg cardParent.  you can then use the following to disable and re-enable clicks on the child cards:

    I bought a thinkpad T401 in April 2011. But It had 3 problems in 3 month(fan, battery and Video)
    Last weekend, I received a box from Lenovo and I packed my laptop then sent it back.
    But now, I don't know the status of my laptop. I`m a PhD student all my work are in my laptop (data, software). I need it to work almost everyday.
    I keep calling lenovo those days but everyone ask me almost the same questions and give me different answers.
    Finally, I figure it out that the person Craig S at Customer Complaint Resolution Advocate can give me some information. But I call today and find he is on vacation now.
    Is there someone know how to find a other way to know the status of my laptop ？
    I need it !

    You should have pulled the drive before you sent it in, they will reimage it as part of the repair process. And you should always keep backups of anything that you cannot afford to lose.

    Once you successfully add you iTunes library to iTunes Match, you go to Settings>iTunes & App Store on your iOS device and turn on iTunes Match.  Your iTunes Match library will then appear on your iOS device.

    Hi, I have a pc laptop with a partitioned hard drive, and my iphone back ups automoatically save to the C drive.  I need them to save to the D drive instead, but dont know how to change the location of the backups.
