Image Processor does not start through Bridge CS5
Image Processor does not start through Bridge CS5, it starts only PS and nothing happen. I do not know, how to repair it.
Most likely you do not have the startup files checked.
In Bridge go to edit/preferences/startup scripts. Make sure you have a check mark for Bridge and Photoshop. Without that they can't talk to each other.

Image Processor will not save files in CS5
I use image processor to run actions on a bulk group of image files, always worked fine in CS4. Now with CS5 the files have the action applied but Image Processor will not close the files.... that becomes a problem when I am working with a couple hundred images! It seems to save the files fine, into the Jpeg or Tiff folder it creates during the process... it just won't close the files and give me the error: "Sorry, I could not process the following files:"
I am sure this is a bug, since it works fine in CS4 and the process is exactly the same in CS5. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there anyway to fix this? It's a pain to go back to CS4 just to use the image processor.

www.kilkus.comI looked into it more and found the problem is that when the action runs Photoshop for some reason won't let the file save from the file menu (it's grayed out)... only "Save as" which obviously doesn't work in an action. Strangely, the file does actually get saved in the folder that is created by Image Processor, but since "save" is grayed out, it won't CLOSE the file. There is no reason for it to gray out "save", when I play the action one file at a time it doesn't do this, only when I use Image Processor in CS5. I really don't understand why it's doing this, I think it's just a bug that needs to get fixed. Don't have the same problem in CS4.

How do I find image processor? It does not appear when I go to, tools, photoshop, image processor?
Double click the thumbnails you want in Bridge to open in Photoshop.
You can also first open the Image Processor and select a folder that you keep your files in. You do not have to open them first. -
"Open with" in Windows does not work for Bridge CS5
When I right click on a picture to open it with Bridge CS5 nothing happens. Does anybody know how to fix this?
It worked with older version of Bridge and it stopped once I installed the CS5.

So have you opened the fly out menu that lists the open wiht programs? It has a option down on the bottom to set other "open with" options such as open with Bridge. Does this not work?

Image Processor does not work correctly
Two problems and one suggestion here:
1. When using the Image Processor Script to resize images only the first image in a folder will get resized correctly. Subsequent files just get coppied at their original size.
2. The script ignores the width setting and adjusts based on height.
Additionally, it would seem to me like a Percentage selection and/or a Maintain Aspect Ratio selector would be a huge help.Hi there,
the images I wanted to process were initially located on an external hard drive that had 10GB left. I then moved the file onto my laptop, which has about 160GB free space, but that didn't solve the problem. I have tried the same task with just 2 images, and get the same response. I am not sure what you mean by 'complete path', but the folder is just a normal folder with camera RAW FILES (CR2). However, I have tried to convert a TIFF to JPEG too via image processor and that hasn't worked either? -
Help! Toning in bridge and once we make corrections to images it does not stay
Good afternoon everyone -
We are currently processing a wedding in CS5 and Bridge. Once my assistant tones the images it does not retain the information and reverts to a random horrid color setting.
We have never seen this before - in 100 of weddings we have done.
Any suggestions? Some sort of random setting we hit by accident?

Yes you can do that. I do it every now and then. But what does happen when opening ACR from Bridge is Bridge is not accessible until you close the ACR window.
I do this mainly to convert RAW files to DNG's so I don't have to deal with the XMP sidecar files. All edits made to DNG files are stored in the DNG.
As to Stacy's problem I have never experienced this. Always any edits made in ACR, whether opened by Bridge or calling up PS, have always bee retained.
I suspect it is a corrupted ACR 8bi file. -

I have a macbook pro running Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I just updated my macbook software and now pages does not start. I double click on the icon and it does not start.
I have tried to open some pages documents and it open unarchiver.
Can someone help?
It was working a couple of days ago I am sure.

Thanks everyone for the input.
I tried all this but nothing worked, then I have tried to reinstall pages from the Iwork 09 disc.
Then pages came up but now it i get this error message

Message bean does not start automatically during application server startup
I have a message bean that does not start up during application server startup. I am able to successfully start the application manually using the visual admin tool.I searched the logs and found the following error. The error references the "QueueConnectionFactory" is not deployed or is not started. I have check and the "QueueConnectiopnFactory" is deployed. Is this a problem with the application trying to start before the "QueueConnectionFactory"? Is thier a way to define a dependency on my application not to start until the "QueueConnectionFactory" has been started, if so can how would I define this dependency. Please provide and example.

Premiere Elements 12 does not start after error message: display driver is incompatible
After successful installation and starting Premiere Elements the following error message appears: "Uncompatible display driver identified. Update the display driver for a better and faster playback performance!" Hopefully my translation from German is helpful enough. I confirmed with OK but unfortunately Premiere Elements does not start. I checked the display driver: it is the most actual one: AMD Radeon HD 7610M. Furthermore the hardware should be OK as well: ASUStek with an Intel Core i5-2450M CPU @2.5 GHz; 6 GB RAM; 64 Bit Windows 7 Service Pack 1. What can I do?

If you issue was specific to the display card error that you have been getting then probable conclusions
a. the ADM Radeon H7610M driver version is not up to date
or
b. the ADM Radeon H7610 M video card/graphics card installed as is is not compatible with Premiere Elements 12 on your Windows 7 SP1 64 bit
The updated driver version and the BadDrivers.txt file deletion should have corrected the problem unless there is a gross mismatch between Premiere Elements 12 and ADM Radeon H7610M.
Did you use the link that John posted to get the auto detection of the latest driver version for the ADM card?
If we have gone as far as we can with the card and its driver version angle on this, then we can try the generalized troubleshooting drills with no guarantees, just hopes
1. Delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists.

and in the 12.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then you delete the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. You just need to make sure to have the computer's Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.
2. If "1" has no effect on the issue...uninstall, ccleaner run through time, reinstall with antivirus and firewalls turned off.
a. Control Panel/Program, select Adobe Premiere Elements 12, right click the entry and click on the Uninstall pop up. Then follow the instructions for the uninstall.
b. Download and install the free ccleaner for a computer run through to get rid of leftovers from incomplete uninstalls and installs.

When you are ready for this step, I will give you a step by step through the ccleaner (regular cleaning part and registry cleaning part).
c. Reinstall from your installation files or installation disc, with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

My database does not start automatically
i am using windows 2000 server and oracle 9.0.1, my database does not start automatically when i am booting the system.
in regedit autostart is there, my service is getting started automatically and i used startmode auto in my oradim command but still i have to manually log in to start the database, PLS help!!!
another issue is that i want to startup/shutdown the database using a user other than sysdba, pls tell which permission shud i grant as dba, connect, resource permissions are not doing the required jobspfile concept is introduced from Oracle 9i. You can call it system parameter file. Benefits of having spfile concept is that what ever changes u make to system through commands
alter system set ??? = ????
get automatically saved in the spfile???.ora which is managed by Oracle.
Main idea behind that as thought by Oracle is that previously u needed to change that parameter in init.ora file then start the database again after shutdown. Now u are doing everything online. spfile???.ora takes priority in the new Oracle concept.
If u delete spfile???.ora file, then it needs some specific init.ora which need to told to Oracle which can be through command like
startup pfile='complete patah .............'
