Image sequence only opens 1 image in QT pro

Hi,
I have 1500 numbered jpeg images and every time i go to do an image sequence it only adds the first frame into the image sequence!! Help!!!

I think in some cases OS 10.6.x does not allow to select more than 1 file. In QT Pro I also cannot make image sequences anymore, however MPEG Streamclip does the job (open files, select all files in the pulldown menu).

  • QT Pro "Open Image Sequence" only grabs one image

    QuickTime Pro:
When I try to "Open Image Sequence" on a set of .png images, I don't get the request for a frame rate, and it only opens the first image.
(Actually, the frame rate request window may be flashing by quickly.)
I have the image files numbered sequentially.
Any ideas appreciated. On my previous laptop it worked fine !
    Thanks,

    Hey there,
Your problem is rather strange, I have not had this problem myself. I open sequences all the time with no hassles. I just tested it now with .png files which you've used, no issue. I'm on QT 7.4.1.
I've also just updated to 7.4.5 on another Mac (G4, OSX 10.4.11), and it works fine. Have you asked around to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue?
If it was easy enough to down grade to 7.2, perhaps you could try re-installing QT 7.4. If it doesn't work, just go back to 7.2. Though... I don't want to be the blame for your loss of another Pro code!!
    Good luck.

  • Preview app will only open 20 images

    Hi.
For me, the Preview app will only open 20 separate images at once. When I open the 21st image, it opens in the 'drawer' of the 20th image, as do subsequent images I open.
This is not the behaviour I want. I want to be able to open any number of images and have them exist within their own window. Preview in 10.1 I believe allowed this!
    I am running 10.4.10 with Preview 3.0.9 (409).
    Any and all help appreciated!!

    John,
I was able to duplicate your problem. I messed with different sized pictures thinking it might be a memory problem, it was not. Also tried different preference settings, no luck. My conclusion is that 20 pictures is a limit imposed by the programers.

  • Unable to open images by double clicking or dragging image to icon in dock  - can only open by going to file open

I can no longer open images on the desktop by clicking or by dragging to the Photoshop CS 1 icon on the dock. I can only open by going to File - Open.  I was able to do this before my Mac OSX 10.3.9 version crashed and I re-installed 10.3.4 and upgraded now to 10.4.11.  Help?

this is covered in the FAQs

  • Occasionally,  some of the image borders turn dark grey (medium grey is the default) and then random other  images cannot be opened with a double click.  They only open when selected using the arrows on the keyboard.  They also cannot be moved to collecti

Occasionally,  some of the image borders turn dark grey (medium grey is the default) and then random other  images cannot be opened with a double click.  They only open when selected using the arrows on the keyboard.  They also cannot be moved to collections.  Anyone have a solution for this?

When you say  "could not be opened"- what are you referring to?  A double click of the mouse should view the clicked image in Loupe view- the same as pressing [E] on the keyboard for an enlarged view. (And a second double-click will take you back to library grid view.)
To "open" an image in the Development module requires you to select the image then press [D] or click on the [Develop] button.
When you say "could not be ...moved" -what are you referring to?  Are you trying to move an image file from its place in a folder to another folder? Are you just wanting it in a collection? When you drag an image to a collection you are only placing a link to the image in the collection- not actually moving any file. The image will stay exactly where it is in its original folder and will remain as a thumbnail preview in the Library Grid view.
Are you having any "mouse" problems that may be changing its actions in LR ?
Do you see an exclamation mark on any image borders ?
Let's keep working on this. I am curious to see you find an answer.

  • Can only open firefox once, have to restart to open more than one browser. can't upload any pictures the box doesn't pop up, my browser settings are diff now

Firefox just changed out of nowhere. I can only open firefox once... I used to have atleast 2 browsers up using them both on different sites, but now I can't have but one firefox browser up (not tabs, but firefox pages) Also when I am trying to upload images on ebay or any other site nothing happens... nothing pops up. I click it over and over and nothing even pops up. This is exactly what happens with the firefox browser in my first question... I can click the firefox icon a million times and nothing comes up. My tabs are all gone and it doesn't show anything like I had before this all changed? Did I reset everything some how? I do not recall clicking anything to go back... I do remember clicking an update because it kept poping up so I did it and that is the last thing I remember before this happened! UGHHH!

As I asked previously are you able to have tabs open as a window by using the right clicking option ?
When you close Firefox you should use
    *'''Firefox button -> File -> Exit '''
    Are you doing that ?
I suspect what may be happening is Firefox is hanging as it closes down.
    * see [[Firefox hangs or is not responding - How to fix#w_firefox-hangs-when-you-quit-it]]_firefox-hangs-when-you-quit-it
    * this explains how to check & if necessary kill the process [["Firefox is already running but is not responding" error message - How to fix it#w_end-firefox-processes]]_end-firefox-processes
A related possible problem is that you may have built up many copies of the restore files. These are stored in the Firefox profile. The easiest method of finding the profile location istouse
*use '''Firefox button -> Help -> Troubleshooting Information <br /> -> [Show Folder]'''
*see [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data]]
You need to look for the files ''sessionstore.js'' and numbered duplicates of that. Delete them.

  • I want to take the photos off my iPhone and put them directly onto an external hard disk. I want to bypass iPhoto altogether. When I link my iPhone to my computer, it only opens in iTunes, which only gives me the option to save my photos to iPhoto. Help!

I want to take the photos off my iPhone and put them directly onto an external hard disk - I don't have any room left on my computer. I want to bypass iPhoto altogether. When I link my iPhone to my computer, it only opens in iTunes, which only gives me the option to save my photos to iPhoto. Help!  This is seriously frustrating!.
Additionally, I'd like to be able to take the 2000+ photos out of iPhoto and put them on a disk in a folder. I have managed to export them to the hard disk but it's just plonked all 2000+ photos in a list - not ideal if I want to use it for anything else. And then I have to manually delete the photos from iPhoto. Is there not a quick and easy way of dealing with this?
Anyone got any bright ideas? Thanks for your help!

I too would like to be able to do this. Just put them where i want the. IFTT a scripting app will put the images in dropbox for you , but its been pretty iffy.

  • PDF only open the first time

    HI
I have a problem with the PDF export, of any type of document; the situation is complicated in the case of documents which provide for the printing of batches of transactions. Let me give an example.
I open a delivery customers and I click on the icon PDF: SAP opens the pdf of Transactions batch and then the standard form of delivery; simultaneously saves both pdf folder of images.
If, once closed the pdf, I click again icon PDF (or after creating a new document), SAP only opens the transaction reports; the report of delivery is not open on the screen but is only saved in the attachments.
In order to view again I have to close the form and reopen it.
Is the first time that the next time, the log file I have the message "Invalid input parameter for DfltSeq", but the first time you open the pdf.
Does anyone know help me to understand why:
    1. SAP does not reopen both reports from the second time
    2. the pdf are saved once in the path of the images, and after the path of attachments.
    Thanks
    NL

    Hi Maggie,
can you tell me if there is something official SAP (Notes or other) with the problem and that SAP will provide a solution?
I have the SAP 9.0 PL 14 and I do not have the problem.
the customer have 9.0 PL 16 and has the problem.
    Thanks

  • Photoshop Action That Only Opens One File Type

I want to create an action that only opens one particular file type, performs some changes to it, then finds all the others of that file type. I can do everything else and use the Image Processor to run it, but I can't find any way to tell the action to only open .GIF files and ignore everything else. Am I just missing something obvious?
    Thanks,
    Andacar

See this post about the Picture Processor:

Another possibilty besides perhaps using a script, is if you have the latest photoshop cs6 version from the cloud, which allows conditional actions.
However, since i'm not on the creative cloud i don't know, but maybe someone else that does have the cloud version can comment.
added: doesn't  appear so for the new conditionals

  • How can I create a stop animation video with single images in Premiere Pro?

Let me start off by saying I am 100% new to pretty much all Adobe software as of about 3 weeks ago. I have been doing a lot of googling these past few weeks. With that said, I will do my best to explain my question.
I am making a stop motion animated video.  I am not using several photos to create the look, but rather single photoshopped images that I have deleted the backgrounds out of. Basically the video is single charms "crawling" or flying in individually from off screen into a circle, there is a story explaining what each charm means. I started in After Effects, but had issues with audio... am I right in my understanding that you cannot preview the audio unless you use the preview feature? So my solution was playing a guessing game, rendering/exporting, importing it to Premiere Pro, taking notes and then heading back to After Effects to try to re-do the timing. Obviously this was not working too well.
Then after doing more googling and clicking around I figured out you could layer images in Premier Pro and make them move just as you would in After Effects, which is great! There are two things hanging me up...
    1. I used the wiggle effect in After Effects. For the life of me I cannot find or figure out an effect or preset similar to this in Premiere Pro. Is there such a thing? Or do I have to create rotation keyframes? (I think I'm using keyframes correctly).
    2. Making the images stop-motiony and not smooth.
My question is... any suggestions on how to re-create the wiggle effect easily in Premiere Pro? Or is there away to create the effect in After Effects and then import the image into Premiere Pro and still be able to change the position and timing?
Please help! My deadline is tomorrow by the end of the work day!
Please forgive me if these are silly questions... go easy on me, I'm soo new! Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much for the reply!
I read that... but it doesn't preview the whole thing? It only previews a few seconds and then loops. I tried to figure out how to change the preview settings, but I can't seem to get it to work.

  • Borisfx.Title 3D causing FCP to crash when sequence is opened

I have an older FCP project, that was originally created
around 2001. this project file has been actively used over the 8- 9 years, never really having any problems. the project file has been successfully updated from FCP Express to FCP4 to FCP 6.06.
But recently, when I tried to open several of the sequences in this project, FCP
crashes and says that BorisFX Title 3D is to blame. I've tried everything, opening the project on PPC G5, opening on Intel Mac, Leopard OS, Tiger OS. Tried updating and reinstalling Boris Calligraphy to 2.2, tried trashing FCP preferences, tried Disk Warrior, etc - nothing works.
the only thing i can do to get these sequences to open is remove the com.borisfx.Title 3D plug-in from the FCS plug-ins folder in the Library.
Then if I try to open the sequence, FCP tells me the plug-in is missing and asking me to look for it, after that the sequence will open, but all the titles created with 3d Title are useless.
Does anyone have any suggestions, I would really like to avoid rebuilding all the titles.
    thanks,
    steve

yes, i tried that, didn't help. I've also tried opening the old versions from the FCP "Autosave Vault" - some copies go back to 2004, they won't open. Something must have happened because I was able to work on these sequences about 4 to 6 months ago.

  • Nautilus Only Opens Home Folder

Hi, for a couple of months nautilus only opens the home folder.
I tried to add another folder to sidebar via launcher (nautilus --no-desktop /home/user/folder) but when I click the icon it says "starting file manager" and after a while it just vanishes, same applies for the media I insert such as USB sticks, a message pop-ups and asks if I want to "open with file manager" if I click it same thing happens. Only exception to this is if nautilus is already running; then everything works as expected.
If try to open a folder from console using the command "nautilus --no-desktop /home/user/folder" I only get a "Segmentation Fault" error and nothing else.
I created a new user and tried the same thing with it, everything works like a charm. However despite I removed "~.gconf/apps/nautilus", "~.config/nautilus" and everything related to nautilus in "~.local/share/applications/" from my users home folder, I couldn't solve the problem.
I checked my drive for any empty CD/DVD and mounted other filesystems manually since I read somwhere if I have a usb stick plugged in and unmounted can cause the issue. But again no use.
So if you guys can figure this out and help me it will be most appreciated.
BTW: I am not using nautilus-open-terminal extension.

If you've closed all Finder windows and then log out,
logging back in is similar to clicking the Finder's
icon in the Dock, and a new single window will be
    opened.
No, this is either a restart or shutdown/restart sequence. I don't use log out and log in, as I am the only one using the computer.
If you click on the Finder icon in the Dock, and
there are currently no open Finder windows, the
Finder will open a new window to the default location
specified in the General pane of the Finder's
Preferences. In other words, it behaves like other
    "document-based" applications such as Safari,
    TextEdit, etc.
Could the Finder icon be registering a mouse click (that may not actually be there) on boot?
I did discover that if I booted into safe mode and deleted the two previously mentioned preference files (com.apple.finder.plist and com.apple.sidebarlists.plist), the issue went away for about a week -- but the problem returned this morning.

  • All my desktop files will now only open in the photoshop elements edit page. How can this be corrected?

As stated in my question I tried to open a manual I have on my desktop and it opened it Photoshop Elements edit page in a thumb nail format.  I checked and all my desktop items will only open in the photoshop elements edit page.  what do I need to do to correct this?

Now that we have your post in the correct forum, I have a few questions, please:
What is the file format of this "manual?"
What OS version are you running?
If this is Windows (a PC), then what is that file format associated with in File Types? It is likely that the particular format has been associated with PsE. If that is not what you want, the association can be changed from the Control Panel, to link it to the desired program.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • I downloaded the new iOS7 but i cant download my apps to my phone i can only open them up on iTunes any advice why?

Why cant i download my apps no more i can only open them on iTunes does any help please thanks.

Try rebooting your iPad and see if they reappear.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If they still do not show up, make sure hat you don't have content restrictions set that could prevent certain apps from showing up on your iPad. Settings>General>RestrictionsAllowed Content.
if you still don't see them, connect your iPad to iTunes on your computer and you should see them in the iPad mini screens on the right side of iTunes after the iPad has been selected under "devices" and when you are in the apps pane of iTunes.
