Image size after calibration and IMAQ Learn Calibration Template VI in Vision 2012

Hi there
I'm trying to setup a calibration for our fluoroscope camera. I got some pictures of a grid and try to implement a distortion model now.
It works more or less fine. But there are still some problems and questions
1. All my Images are 1000x1000 pixel. After correcting them with the calibration they change their size depending on the Method(937x928 at the moment).
Thereby I lose some information, because some details at the border are cut off. Additionally I would have to increase the size of every image manually for the further processes. Does anyone know how i can implement that the corrected images are still 1000x1000 in size?
2. At the moment I'm using the "IMAQ Learn Calibration Template VI" which I found in an older example. In vision 2012 this vi doesn't exist anymore? Why is this, and how could I implement it now, with using current vi's?
Tried it with the "IMAQ Learn Camera Model" combined with the "IMAQ Calibration Target to Points - Circular Dots", a tresholding a
nd "IMAQ Correction Learn Setup". But the result is much worse this way.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Stefan

Thank you for your answer.
I tried it with changing the border size(tried different values), but the results are still the same (still 937x928). Do I have to set the image size anywhere?
What would be the best way to resize the image? Should I just copy it on a black 1000x1000 square?
And do you have any suggestions how I can build the "IMAQ Learn Calibration Template" with 2012 vi's? I tried it with the code of my first post, but the results are totally different to this: Why this block doesn't exist anymore? Seems to be much easier for me

  • Photo image size after file transfer much smaller

I am transfering photos over to my wife's Macbook and after the transfer, the photos are of a much smaller file size. Is there a way to transfer the photos at their full image size?

Dragging and dropping to a web-based email (gmail) makes the photo appear inside the message itself, and not as an attachment, which is what I wanted.

  • Preset crop tool not matching image size after crop.

I am a labtech at a community college and look after 48 mac pros in which the students use the entire creative suite. (I only mention this becuase any answers need to consider variations in system settings or photoshop settings. college students get into everything!)
But the issue is when you select the crop tool and enter a custom constraint and crop
The image size is sometimes a full 2 inches off of what you set as a crop?! I havn't run into this before, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
[I do know you can use the drop down box and use {size and resolution} but I want to know why it doesnt work under custom and unconstrained]
    Thank you again.

Looks  like you are just setting the aspect ratio. You need to enter units of measure (8 in X 9 in) to crop to a specific print size.

  • Photo booth image size after lion upgrade

While in Snow Leopard, whenever I take a photo using Photo Booth and drag and drop it onto an email message in a web browser, it pastes a smaller (approx 60-70kb) size of the image.
With Lion, whenever I do this it pastes a bigger image (around 150-200kb).  My current internet connection is a bit crappy and it takes a wee bit of a while to upload.
I know that I can use Mail and specify what image size should be sent, but I don't use Mail
Is it possible to revert to the old image size for Photo Booth?

  • Small image size after exporting

    Hello,
When I export an image with dimesions of 4214x3371, the image size will show as 1.124x1.405''. This is a problem because I am trying to print my images on a 16x20'' canvas. My resolution is set at 3000ppi and I am exporting RAW files to an uncompressed TIFF file with my color space being ProPhoto RGB.
Any input would be appreciated, this is quite frusterating.

Let's see ... 4214 pixels divided by 3000 pixels per inch is um ... wait where's my calculator ... 1.405 inches!
of course, the whole calculation is meaningless, it has no effect on what gets printed
If you send a picture that is 4214x3371 pixels to be printed at 16x20 ... you ought to get decent prints at about 211 pixels per inch (where did that come from? 4214/20 inches is about 211 pixels per inch)
So, basically, you have enough pixels to do the print. The resolution number in the file is truly meaningless here, if you ignore it and do the math the way I did, you find out you are fine. If you try to interpret this meaningless number, well, you get misled seriously.

  • Animation size larger than actual image size after saving as gif?

    Hi,
I just created an animation (600x600 pixel) and saved it as gif. Everything seems fine except the grainy quality and the fact that it is nearly twice as large as my actual image size (100%) shown on photoshop. I don't mind the grainy quality but the large size is disturbing... Anyone know why or how to fix this problem?
Any help will be appreciated as it's an anniversary gift and I'm stuck on the last step running out of time . Thanks in advance!
    Angela.

The 300GB partition is the partition I am booting off of, and the one I was writing about. Disk0s1 is the EFI partition, 210MB. The other Internal hard drive is the core storage physical volume, already mounted, mounted in the image. Recovery HD is the 650MB system recovery partition.
I rebooted to the recovery partition and used Disk Utility to verify the volume, it said everything checked out alright.
In disk utility, the top entry has this data
Name :     Internal Hard Drive     Capacity :     319.21 GB (319,213,174,784 Bytes)
Type :     Logical Volume Group     Available :     16.8 MB (16,777,216 Bytes)
Disk Status :     Online     Used :     319.2 GB (319,196,397,568 Bytes)
However the other entry, right below it has this
         Mount Point :     /     Capacity :     318.88 GB (318,877,626,368 Bytes)
Format :     Encrypted Logical Partition     Available :     202.18 GB (202,175,160,320 Bytes)
Owners Enabled :     Yes     Used :     116.7 GB (116,702,466,048 Bytes)
Number of Folders :     241,519     Number of Files :     1,246,454
So I guess the reboot fixed my problem, df -h now shows 37% used, but the logical vomume group still shows only 16MB free. Anyways, things seem to be working now.

  • Images sizes for DPS and Retina

    On this link:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/kb/troubleshoot-content-viewer-digital-pub lishing.html#main_Viewer_appears_to_crash_while_launching__while_updating_library__or_whil e_downloading_folios_on_iPad
It says that images should be no larger than 1024x1024px however the retina display is 2048x1536px. So if we are to use 1024px images they will appear lo-res on the retina? Is this correct?

That's an old tech note that should be updated.
The best way to target both SD and HD (retina) devices is to create 1024x768 folios in PDF image format. See Creating multi-rendition articles. Another option is to create both SD and HD renditions, but even if you take that approach, we still recommend sticking to 1024x768 source documents.
For image size, feel free to use high-resolution images for non-interactive images. When the articles are created, these images and all other non-interactive page items are downsampled in the article's image format: JPG, PNG, or PDF. For images in overlays, you'll want to understand the difference between overlays that are resampled (slideshows, scrollable frames, buttons) and overlays that are passed through without compression (pan and zoom, image sequence, and panoramas, along with video and audio). For images in pass-through overlays, create JPG or PNG images in the exact dimensions; avoid scaling. See Best practices for creating overlays.

  • How to make a PDF embedded image append a report and send via fax electronically from MS SSRS 2012?

How can I make a PDF embedded image append a SSRS 2012 report and send via fax all electronically?  Is this possible?
Thanks in advance for your time!

    Hello,
    1. The report item Image can be used to display the image which  embedded in the report, stored in a database, stored on the report server, or stored elsewhere on the Web.
For example, you can embedded the PDF image in the report and stored as text in the report definition.
2.Reporting Services includes an e-mail delivery extension and a file share delivery extension which you can send report to user or group through e-mail or send the report to a shared location on your network.
If you want to send the report to FAX, you may try to create a custom delivery extension depend on your faxing software.

  • Keep actual image size when rotating and exporting to PDF

When one rotates an image in a non-right angle in InDesign, the resulting image in the PDF, even if looks the same size of the original image when compared save for being rotated, actually shrink in size. That's noticieable when one saves the image from the PDF as the rotated image appears rotated inside the same size of the original, rather than being larger. I fear it may cause some quality loss at print. Is there any workaround around it?
Or it is just a previsualization glitch and the file prints normal? (as while importing the PDF in Illustrator seems to keep the original resolution of the image)

    Peroyomas wrote:

I can't see a difference in size between two copies of the same image when one is rotated in a non-right angle and the other is at zero rotation.
From the way your question is worded, I'm not sure what you are doing.

If it looks the same size, what makes you think it is not?

  • Problems with image size after PAL conversion

I edited my movie (captured in 16:9 mini DV) on Final Cut with all the right settings. I ran the video through DVFilm Maker which gives it a 24P/film-like look. In Final Cut Pro, this footage always looks "squished" but after exporting with Compressor (widescreen preset) and droping into DVD Studio Pro, it is in perfect 16:9 and looks fine.
Now I am trying to convert all this to PAL. I use the same company's DVFilm Atlantis to convert to PAL, and it is even more "squished" than the original, but after exporting with Compressor with PAL settings, it still looks squeezed on DVD Studio Pro.
I should say that I export the NTSC as a Quicktime movie (no conversion) with "current settings" and convert that to PAL.
[One of the options in Atlantis when converting is to "squeeze 16:9 into letterbox" I have done that, but the final product is small with a large black letterbox on all sides.]

Nattress' Standards Converter does a bang up job of converting NTSC to PAL. (and his film effects are very good as well) It all can be found at www.nattress.com
Compressor 2 can do this as well but takes longer and the results are less certain.

  • Expanding system partition to original size after shrinking and part'ing?

If I was to shrink my system partition to create a few other partitions using the
    diskutil resizeVolume disk0s2...
command, How would I then remove them and recover the space for the original system partition, expanding it to it's original size?
    Thanks
    Macbook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.10)   2.4Ghz 15"

OK couldn't find a way to delete partitions usng diskutil so I booted into Knoppix and used QTParted to delete the created partition neighbouring the system one.
I've restarted and booted up the OSX install and now diskutil will let me resize into the free space created
    <pre>
    $ diskutil resizeVolume disk0s2 limits
    For device disk0s2 Macintosh HD:
    Current size: 122084442112 bytes
    Minimum size: 24505323520 bytes
    Maximum size: 143559278592 bytes
    </pre>
however using the maximum size value above for the new size gives me the following error:
<pre>Resizing encountered error No space left on device (28) on disk disk0s2 Macintosh HD</pre>
I've tried a few slightly smaller sizes and still got the same error

  • How do I reduce an image size? Metrics and using the box handle do not work

You have not said exactly what it is you are doing or where, but clicking on an image should produce the Edit Mask slider.
There are 2 parts to what you see. The Mask which contains and crops the Image which is the picture itself and may extend beyond the mask or cover only part of the Mask. You can edjust both the position and scale of each independently.
    1. Sliding the scale will enlarge or reduce the image within the mask
    2. Clicking on the Edit Mask will highlight the Mask box with adjustment handles with the masked image appearing outside the mask faded back. You can pull at the Mask handles to adjust them.
    3. Clicking on the faded part of the Image lets you click inside the Image to move it relative to the mask, or on its handles to scale it
    4. Clicking inside the Mask lets you grab the Mask handles to rescale the Mask with the existing cropping
    5. If the image is inline (part of the text) you can click inside it and only the right and bottom handles are highlighted and draggable. You can again click on the Edit Mask to reposition and rescale the Image as above.

  • Image size changes after saving and then reopening

I'm using CS6. For example I change the image size to a 4X6 and then save it. Then when I open the file it will be 7.5X5. What's the fix? Thanks for your time.

I'm using Photoshop CS6 on a Windows 7 - 64 bit system. I'm using the Image Size dialog box and saving the file as a 4X6 at 300 dpi from a psd file to a jpeg file. When I open the file it is 5X7.5 inches at 240 dpi. I've been playing with it and have just figured out that when I save the file as a psd file it stays the size I've created and it changes when I save as a jpeg file. This is change is recent. It's worked properly in the past. Thanks for your help.

  • Why jpeg file exported from Aperture with 300 dpi's it opens with 72 dpi's on PS ( image size)? I've tried several combinations and all give different results. And I am confused on what is the best workflow for me.

    Ok.
    My workflow is
RAW > Aperture Library > export jpeg high resolution 300 dpi's > one file on PS > edit > Save us jpeg. The I realised that files from PS were being save in a smaller size from the ones exported form Aperture. That is when I went o see <image size> on PS and files were with 72.
Since ten I've trying different things
    1. Aperture > export as PSD > open on PS > edit > Save us jpeg = small file (around 15 MB)
    2. Aperture > export as jpeg high resolution 300 dpi's > open on PS > CHANGE dpi's to 300 on <image size> edit > Save us jpeg = big file (Huge, actually)
What am I doing wrong? Would someone give me guidance and tell me what is the best workflow, considering I edit photos to deliver to my clients and I shall give them 300 dpi's.
    Thank you
