Image size limit in Lr 5.3-64 and Ps CC-64

What is image size limit in Lightroom 5.3 - 64 bit And Ps CC - 64 bit?

I believe the maximum image size in Lightroom is 64kpixels X 64kpixels.
I don't know what it is for Photoshop, but I'll bet that Google thing can find out.

    Hi all,
is there an image size limit in JSP ?
or any setting I have to change in TOMCAT 3.2 ?
I have a problem to load a image at size 550 x 60. When i change it into smaller size, there is no problem.
This is the error message from the TOMCAT :
    "2001-11-29 11:47:06 - Ctx( ): IOException in: R( + /images/abc.gif + null) Sof

    Please help me

    Hi
I tried reproducing the error but I was able to load much larger images also. Could you check to see if the file name is correct including the extension. Sometimes even the file extension can be case sensitive.
What OS are you using. I tested Tomcat 3.2.3 on both Solaris 8 and Windows 2000.

  • Why jpeg file exported from Aperture with 300 dpi's it opens with 72 dpi's on PS ( image size)? I've tried several combinations and all give different results. And I am confused on what is the best workflow for me.

    Ok.
    My workflow is
RAW > Aperture Library > export jpeg high resolution 300 dpi's > one file on PS > edit > Save us jpeg. The I realised that files from PS were being save in a smaller size from the ones exported form Aperture. That is when I went o see <image size> on PS and files were with 72.
Since ten I've trying different things
    1. Aperture > export as PSD > open on PS > edit > Save us jpeg = small file (around 15 MB)
    2. Aperture > export as jpeg high resolution 300 dpi's > open on PS > CHANGE dpi's to 300 on <image size> edit > Save us jpeg = big file (Huge, actually)
What am I doing wrong? Would someone give me guidance and tell me what is the best workflow, considering I edit photos to deliver to my clients and I shall give them 300 dpi's.
    Thank you

  • Still image size limit?

Is there a pixel count limit for still images one wishes to use in iMovie '09? I want to do a long Ken Burns from top to bottom over a piece of art around 10,000 pixels tall.

I couldn't get the tall image (10800 pixels tall--a credit roll) to even enter the timeline. So I shrank it to 7200 pixels tall and it did enter the timeline and I could do a looooong KB move. It animated okay, but the image of the letters was fuzzy junk. There must be some unpublished internal limit and it would be nice to know what that is for more normal KB moves...

  • IDVD image size limit

I see that iDVD8 indicates higher resolution pictures can be used.
What is the limit for iDVD6 ? I can not seem to locate the information or just looking/searching incorrectly.

It says "iDVD now allows you to use higher quality photos in your slideshows, which means you’re in for an even more impressive show on that big screen TV."
Perhaps they are talking about 16:9 format images - EXCEPT - such images are supported in iDVD 6
See: iDVD 7.0 Help (iLife '08) - Preparing images for iDVD slideshows at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/7.0/en/6675.html wich are the same recommendations as for iDVD 6.
It IS possible in iDVD '08 to combine video with still images in slideshows.
It could just be advertising hype.

  • CS6 Save for Web image size limit (Retina)

I have been designing for a lot of mobile sites these days, in particular: iphone retina display (640w).  Most of the time these designs can be long in the tooth with the height of these documents - exceeding 8000 pixels at times.  I noticed that 8000 pixels is the threshold limit for the "save for web" export.  Anything greater than 8000 pixels will be downgraded in quality on retina devices by scaling the image.  The jpg will still be the correct height and width, but when viewed on an iphone, you can easily see the degradation.   Images and text are blurry.  This is no bueno when trying to show a client what their site will look like on an iphone.
So my question is, is there a work around?  A preference to be changed?  Am I missing something to get the full quality of my design comp in order to preserve retina display quality?

Justin, what about your screenshot that I'm posting here:
You posted that as an example of SFW downsizing to 78% to make its output be no taller than 8192 px, resulting in a width of 500 px. The iPhone will scale a 500 px wide image to make it fit the screen's 640 px width.
And my CS6 SFW set to progressive JPEG (or anything else) refuses to allow a dimension to be greater than 8192 px. Here's the message when I try to make it larger:
Likewise, the scale percentage cannot be made greater than the value which produces a dimension of 8192 px.
Anyway, I'm glad you found a solution.

  • How can I reduce the image size (how to use "Steps X, Y" and "ROI")?

I upgraded Labview (and NI-DAQ) from 5.X to 7 Express (and NI-DAQ 7). That seems to make PCI_IMAQ1411 to malfunction. I could move ROI and reduce the size by changing "ROI and Step X and Y" of NI_Snap.vi. All of a sudden, IMAQ started not to work properly even under the same code and device. Only difference is LabView and NI-DAQ version. Could you help me working IMAQ1411 under the upgraded LabVIEW and NI-DAQ?
    Thanks, Grace

    Dear Dcoutri
    Thank you for your reply.
    (1) The version I have on my computer is IMAQ 2.5.7 which has been installed together with NI-DAQ 7 when I install the LabView Express 7. It is strange that I cannot find the version on "DownLoad site".
    (2) You said that Imaq 3.0 does not support Step X, Y function. So you recommend that Imaq 2.5.5 is rather proper one. Then how about Imaq 2.6.1 (2.6). Does that support Step X, Y function?
    (3) Using Imaq 3.0, how can one scale down an image?
    Thanks, Hyun

  • Image size limits in Apeture?

Is there a limit to image size in Aperture? There's no mention of any in the Aperture manual that I can see.
I've created a number of panaoramas (upto 27382 x 2000) in Photoshop CS3 but they get corrupted after importing into Aperture. I just get a blacked out preview or a red box containing the message "unsupported image format" despite being PSD files. They won't import into iPhoto either.
    Screenshot here:
    http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w314/Marsdy/Aperture.jpg
The files appear perfectly in Adobe Bridge.
    TIA.

No image size limit is known.
By the look of things, you have a 54Mb file size. I have a significant number of 250+Mb scans in Aperture and it handles them ..... with an occasional "unsupported image" if I go back and forth selecting different images a number of times. It even allows me to compare 2 x images ..... over 500Mb of image data. I also have numerous 90-120Mb PSD's as well.
However, when I get the "unsupported image" which I know is untrue as they are all TIFF's, I cannot get Aperture to re-render correctly without quitting and relaunching. It suggests Aperture when processing drops a thread and decides an image is unsupported and marks for the session as such.
It could be that you are running in a slower environment or from a slower hdd, which seemed to make my symptoms more frequent.

  • Raw image size 2.147 Gb?

    Hello,
Is there a dng specification raw image size limit? I would like to save huge raw images. We changed the kMaxImageSide from 65000 to 300000. I know the dng's which are bigger then 65000 per size can't be opened in other dng readers. But also if you just have a raw image 30000x30000 it can be bigger then 2.147Gb. It's depends on bits per pixels. For now we have images like 7500 x 60000, but soon we want to save raw images like 7500 x 314169 or better 7500 x 628328. That means for the first image we have raw image data like 4.4Gb and for the other 8.8Gb. Of course this is just possible on a 64bit system.
Is there any plan to support huge raw images (64bit dng sdk)? If so when will you release it?
    Best regards,
    Marius

For #1, if you look at the image in Bridge you can note the dimensions and resolution...you would then need to put that same resolution in the ACR resolution field.
For #2, no...as you note the ACR Preference controls whether or not Camera Raw will be used to open the image. You can use the Shift key when double clicking in Bridge to open the image directly into Photoshop and bypass the ACR dlog, but Camera Raw will still be used if it's set to be used in the Preferences...
You'll need to keep your image resizing just in Photoshop because Camera Raw is not designed to do that sort of resize/resampling...it's designed first and foremost as a raw processor and later added the ability to open and process camera JPEGs and TIFFs. Putting those kind of controls into Camera Raw wouldn't make sense since the end result of an image opened into Camera Raw is supposed to be an image processed and opened into Photoshop. So, what you are wishing for is really outside of the scope of the development design...sorry.

  • Minimum image size

I have inserted an image that is 11 by 14 px. Captivate
appears to have a minimum size for inserting images (17 by 17).
Please tell me I am wrong. I am certain that this would not
    be a limitation.
    Thanks
    Scott

It's only a limitation if you let it be one. Yes, there is a
17x17 pixel minimum image-size limit. But you, being the type who
is good at placing large ships in small bottles, want to insert an
image that is - say - 8x8 pixels. Just:
    1) center your 8x8 image on a pallete that is 17x17.
    2) Be sure that the palette is a color not otherwise used in
    your 8x8 image.
    3) Place the 17x17 merged image into Captivate, and select
"Transparent Background" option for the image
    . . . . . this will cause the "border color" around your 8x8
image to appear to be -
    . . . . . . -Ta Dah - invisible, so all that shows is the 8x8
    area of the 17x17 image.
Will that do? Surely so . . . but if not, let me know why,
because I'd love to know why not.

  • Recommended Image Size for Contact Pictures?

    Hi All,
I want to edit up some family members to attach thier images to my iPhone contacts... Does anyone know what the preferred resolution size is for the iPhone for optimal appearance?
I've tried to do this with outlook before, and I hate the way it dithers the images to a low quality.... I'm hoping that the iPhone doesn't do this and so I wanted to experiment with how they would appear...
But instead of making the images just any random size, I wanted to crop them to the preferred image/pixel size so that my photoshopped images look like what I expect them to show up like...
If you could advise with the documented or known pixel resolution size used by the iPhone it would be appreciated!

Thanks, but I don't believe that the contacts come up full screen do they?
Usually there is a optimal image size for certain things like contact photos and I am just trying to help ensure that all my photos are the same size and don't vary...
I might be a little carried away with how I am formatting them, but just hoping someone already knows this answer!

  • The New  PS CC Images / Size implementation

Anyone else a little disconcerted by the new setup of 'Image/size' menu?
Its lost one whole parameter that used to be there by default... Now you have to go find it by click on the drop down and selecting inches.... If I recall it used to show:
    height Pixels
      width pixels
    Height inches
      width inches
Overall there appears to be MORE information available and more functions one can exercise than the old format.  I guess I'll grow to like it better than the old layout.... but first time out... I missed the old setup.
How do others feel abou it?

For reference, this is what the prior version's Image Size dialog showed:
As I mostly think and work in pixels, I haven't missed the old dialog at all.
My advice would be to change your default resampling method (via the Preference settings) from Automatic to Bicubic.  Also, if you upsample with the new function, be sure and try the Detail Preserving upsampling scheme.  It's the cat's meow.

  • Group message size limit bug

Recently some friends set up a group chat with 13 members. The chat works fine for everyone except me. My phone seems to not want any group chats with more than 10 people and it just splits the chat and makes new chats always excluding a few people. This really makes no sense considering the group chat works fine for all the other iphone users in the chat.

    Hi,
i need to set a message size limit that applies to
both incoming and outgoing mail. I see there is an
user-attribute I can set on LDAP, mailmsgmaxblocks,
but the reference guide says that it is: "The size in
units of MTA blocks of the largest message that can
be sent to this user". I want the limit to apply to
messages SENT by an user, too.
I don't think that this can be an user-based
attribute, because mail it would not apply to users
not belonging to local domains sending inbound mail,
but there is an MTA-wide option I can set to do
this?I did find this option in the 2005Q4 messaging server reference guide:
    <snip>
LDAP_SOURCEBLOCKLIMIT: The LDAP attribute to specify the maximum number of
blocks allowed in a users message. The MTA rejects messages containing more blocks than this from a user. An MTA block is normally 1024 bytes, but this can be changed
with the BLOCK_SIZE option in the MTA option file. This is a user analog to the sourceblocklimit keyword and has no default.
    </snip>
This seems to describe exactly what you are after, I haven't personally tried it before.
Implementing will require jumping through a few hoops:
    1. Extend your directory schema to add a new user attribute (you will need to dig through directory server manuals for help on this).
    2. Add LDAP_SOURCEBLOCKLIMT=<attribute from (1)>
    3. Add <attribute from (1)> to the users entry set to the the number of blocks of the maximum email e.g. 1024 would be 1MB email limit.
To limit ALL emails across the MTA, both incoming and outgoing, change the BLOCK_LIMIT option.dat variable:
"Places an absolute limit on the size, in blocks, of any message that may be sent or received with the MTA. Any message exceeding this size is rejected. By default, the MTA
imposes no size limits. Note that the blocklimit channel keyword can be used to impose limits on a per-channel basis. The size in bytes of a block is specified with the BLOCK_SIZE option."
    Regards,
    Shane.
