Image stabilization is very poor compared to iMovie. Is there a fix?
Is there a fix? Will Motion 5 steady cam work better?

Cheers.

If you gave some information on what network equipment you are using (make, model, version) and where you are experiencing signal problems it would help in giving advice.

hi all
i have a canon hf200 that records mts file. 1920x1080
when i export my movie with imovie the quality of the video is very poor,i export as quicktime movie and i lose a lot of quality.
need i to convert mts file before import it on imovie?
ps:sorry for my englishTo increase the quality of a video, one of the things you can do is by instead of exporting the video using Quicktime just select 'export movie...' from the share menu. You can then select what level of quality you want, after selecting what you want to name your movie and where you want to save it.

Hi since I put the new update on my ipad. The sound quality on the ipad is gone very poor it's sound very tinny. I just wondering if there is going to be a update to sort it out. Thanks
Hello Tollykev,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you have some audio issues with your iPad after the iOS 7 update.
I want to recommend the following troubleshooting from the article named:
iPhone: No sound or distorted sound from speaker
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5180
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved after restoring the iPhone software, please contact Apple Support.

MacBook Pro Mid2014 15" reports a Samsung UE40HU6900 4K TV as 8K (7680x4320).
This results in an ugly, washed out image half the size it should be. If you turn off scaling everything is tiny as 8K are displayed on a 4K screen. To get the actual 4K resolution you have to turn on scaling. Still 8K is transferred to the device, but doubling the data lines makes the picture look washed out and create obscure effects for line borders.
Did anybody encounter this problem before? Is there a fix for this? (OSX 10.10.1)You have the MacBookPro6,2, the Edsel of Macs. It may be covered by this program:
MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010): Intermittent black screen or loss of video
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested.
Print the first page of the panic report and bring it with you.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed. -
I want to make a DVD of a slide-show with an audio track behind the photographs. I have carefully followed the iDVD video tutorials but the result is far from satisfactory. The quality of the images on the resulting DVD are blurred and indistict although the original photographs are of a very high quality. Where am I going wrong? Would I have better results from a different program than the inbuilt iDVD and if so so what programs have others found to be better? I should be grateful for some expert guidance.
Hey Falcopebo,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Looks like you have image quality issues when using iDVD to burn.
iDVD 7.0: Burned DVD has interlacing, pixelation, or image quality issues
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4078
A standard DVD made by iDVD is made to the standard DVD resolution of 720 X 480, which is smaller than most HDTVs and monitors. When expanded to fit the entire screen or monitor, the image will distort slightly due to upscaling to fit the screen or monitor.
Have a nice day,

Quality very poor for exported iMovies
I have created a movie in iMovie v 2.0 (791) for iPad. I have an iPad mini.
The video itself looks fantastic in iMovie and in my photos, but on Facebook & Youtube it looks horrible. Grainy. I have tried exporting Medium, Large & the highest HD size. Nothing makes a difference. This is a movie for my business and I need to fix asap. I keep posting and deleting because it looks so unprofessional. Please help!So I did figure it out, after a friend's son who works at the Apple store told me how. You can't upload from your iPad (or any iOS device) without the file compressing, which causes the bad quality. So I had to hook up my iPad to my Mac, and through Image Capture, upload the file. Then I loaded directly from Finder to both Youtube & FB and it worked great.

Lightroom 5 prints very poor compared to Photoshop CC
I have an Imac running Maverick and an Epson 3880. I have calibrated my monitor, my printer and my paper with a ColorMunki. I use ProPhoto for all apps. All settings the same in both PS and LR.
If I print an image in LR 5 and then export the same image to PS and print it (all settings the same), the PS image is almost spot on. The LR5 image is very bad, being much darker and bluer.
Can anyone help me with this? thanks.
BillThis sounds like colour control issues.
From LR Print Module, with it ready to print, open the printer settings (from Page-Setup in the LR print module), then make sure that you printer is set to do NOT colour control. Note that this setting is (or can be) specific to each printing template. -
Help please -My HQ photos are being rendered in very poor quality in iMovie
Hi there
I have a problem I cannot solve in iMovie (HD 6.0.3).
I am making a movie/slideshow of photos using very high quality photos imported from Aperture. I'm finding them incredibly BAD quality when it comes to the rendering of finished product, the most obvious problem being the pixellation (seen as wavy lines) when the Ken Burns effect is used. It looks the worst on a plasma television, which it is being made to watch on.
I have burned it at the highest quality I can find, but there is still no improvement. Can anyone help please? I'm doing this as a gift for my parents, but don't want to send them something of inferior quality.
Thanks!
Carlyif you've burned it to DVD, then its probably a standard definition iMovie project which means that is 480 lines interlaced. it makes no difference how high quality the originals are, they'll still be re-sized down to 480 lines and since its interlaced, that means that you're only ever showing every-other line. and because standard definition alternates between the odd and even numbered lines, you'll probably see lots of shimmering in the highlights. it will look worse when you try to stretch it across a high-definition TV because there's interpolation going on to up-convert the whole thing back to the 720 or 1080 lines of high definition.
in short, you'll never really get super-high quality from a standard definition TV and you'll only get good results on a high-def TV if you keep everything high def (720p or 1080p) throughout the entire workflow. and until Apple updates its software to handle Blue-Ray or HD-DVD authoring, it'll be very expensive to master those kinds of discs!
best of luck,
scott

I have Windows XP. In January 2014, Firefox updated to version 26. Now, every time I try to access a webisete, the wheel turns verly slowly or hesitates and it takes a long time for websites to open. I have no problems watching streaming video. I have had to resort to using Internet Explorer because of this Firefox problem. I have noticed others have been experiencing similar issues with Firefox V26. Will there be a fix for this problem soon?

Please help! Elements 11 image quality poor compared to LR
Hello, I just started using elements and am very irritated because the image quality is very poor compared to when i am viewing in LR. Its not the conversion - i have tried pulling directly from the camear. It looks great in Camera Raw 7.1 but the second i pull it into editor, it lines get jagged. Adobe help is telling me this is normal. Surely not?? Something about a halo around pixels? Image on left is Elements 11, right is Lightroom and Zoomed in so you can see how sharp it is. PLEASE help. im so frustrated!
In the pse 11 editor are you looking at the image at 100% view (actual pixels)?
(Other viewing percents can be misleading in the pse 11 editor)
Double click on the zoom tool in the tol box to get 100% view.
Also you should be on camera raw 7.4 available from Help>Updates within the pse 11 editor.
Is that lightroom 4.4? -
Thumbnail images are very poor, is there a way to improve them ?
I've just started using Lightroom 5, and right after importing them I noticed the images are of very poor quality. If I try and blow them up bigger using the slider they get even worse.
I've used Bridge in Photoshop to do this before and the images look great, so I can quickly look at them and sort the good from the bad.
I can't do this in Lightroom with the quality of the image thumbnails. So how do you make the thumbnails better?
Also does the camera MP size determine what the thumbnails look like? In other words If I used an 8MP camera, would the thumbnails look as good as they would coming from a 20MP camera? And what type of previews are you creating during import (in the Build Previews section of the File Handling panel of the import dialog)?

AppStudion, Facebook intergration image is very poor.
I think that you can see it by yourself just try to create an app with some Facebook page integration and run it on the phone. Boom! Image quality is very poor. How to improve it? It's been a year that this hasn't been fixed yet.
