Image / video upload problem to any website using a flash uploader...

Hello, thanks for reading. For the last month or so ive been having major issues uploading photos and videos to websites such as facebook, istock, photobucket, youtube etc.. all of them as far as i can tell use flash to upload, but all of them error. Facebook, when uploading images uploads them, but puts grey bars or whole sections in the image, like its corrupted, and with videos, just errors every time. Istockphoto.com puts coloured bars through the images if they upload at all, and normally goes to a server time out page. Photos bucket does the same as facebook, grey sections in the images, and youtube wont upload anything, unless i use the bulk uploader.
It happens on firefox, safari and opera, and im running the most recent version of all of them.
It is like my broadband connection isnt fast enough so it times our or something, but i have a very fast connection, and ive now tried it at three different locations all with the same result.
Ive updated my flash, and im running version MAC 10,0,22,87
Im running java version 1.5.0_19 form apple (am currently downloading 1.6.0 update today) would this make a difference?!
Everything used to be fine, its so frustrating! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Logged the call with SAP who directed me to 'Define settings for attachments' in IMG and setting the 'Deactivate Java Applet' & 'Deactivate Attachment versioning' checkboxes - problem solved.

I AM UNABLE TO CONNECT TO ANY WEBSITE USING FIREFOX. EVEN THOUGH, I HAVE BEEN USING FIREFOX ON THE SAME COMPUTER FOR YEARS WITH NO DIFFICULTY. THE PROBLEM AROSE AFTER COMCAST, MY ISP, RECOVERED FROM A WIDESPREAD OUTAGE THAT LASTED 5 HOURS.

I SUCCEEDED IN TRANSFERING ALL MY BOOKMARKS TO GOOGLE CHROME. THIS WILL ALLOW ME ACCESS TO WEBSITES WHILE I WAIT FOR A METHOD TO REPAIR MY FIREFOX PROGRAM. IN A PREVIOUS MESSAGE, I EXPLAINED THAT I WAS UNABLE TO ACCESS ANY WEBSITE USING FIREFOX AFTER COMCAST, MY ISP, RECOVERED FROM AN OUTAGE THAT LASTED 5 HOURS. WHENEVER I TRIED TO CONNECT TO A SITE, A POP-UP MESSAGE APPEARED INDICATING: "UNABLE TO INITIALIZE THE APPLICATION'S SECURITY COMPONENT. THE MOST LIKELY CAUSE IS PROBLEMS WITH FILES IN YOUR APPLICATION'S PROFILE DIRECTORY. CHECK THAT THIS DIRECTORY HAS NO READ/WRITE RESTRICTIONS." I EVEN REMOVED FIREFOX FROM MY COMPUTER AND DOWNLOADED IT AGAIN, FIGURING THAT BY NOT MERELY USING AN UPGRADE, I WOULD BE INSTALLING A COMPLETELY FRESH DOWNLOAD. In Firefox, I'm unable to load any website using cloudflare but the same sites load fine in Safari.

Whenever I try to load any website using cloudflare in Firefox, I get this error message:
"Error 1000 DNS points to prohibited IP. You've requested a page on a website that is on the CloudFlare network. Unfortunately, it is resolving to an IP address that is creating a conflict within CloudFlare's system."
But the same sites load up fine with no problems in Safari. I've tried everything suggested in related support pages - cleared cache (my browser's set to do that on close anyway), cleared cookies, set to no proxy, disabled add-ons, etc. Nothing worked!
EDIT: Just noticed that 1 cloudflare page was able to load after disabling the add-on called "Modify Headers" v7.1.1 However, I don't know if this will work for all cloud flare sites. Unfortunately, I did not keep a list of sites that didn't load, so I can't test by loading them now.

Safari CRASHES whenever i try and upload photos to ANY website arghhhhh!

Hi guys your all super intelligent and i thought you would be a better source of help than ringing apple!
Everytime i try to upload photos to any website including .mac safari crashes.
Also most websites only load after failing once and then pressing refresh!
any ideas!!

But anyway I am facing same problem as I wrote already. I can see streaming just in my computer. From other computers it's writing error log. What should I do? Maybe I am trying to stream video at my site in a wrong way? I am using Adobe flash media Live Emcoder with Adobe flash Media Server 4.5. In my computer everything works fine. But I can't stream to otyer cimputers. Please help.

Unable to upload photos to any website

I am unable to upload any photos to any websites.
When I try to upload photos I just get the rainbow wheel and I either have to force quit (it shows the browser in "not responding") or if I leave it long enough it will "quit unexpectedly".
The uploading process encounters error as soon as I hit upload and it opens the box, I am not even able to choose where I would like to upload from.
I have tried this using the browsers: Safari, Opera, and Firefox.
I have tried to upload photos to facebook, craigslist, shutterfly (I can upload to shutterfly using their extension in iphoto), walmartphoto, and a few other b/s/t forums.
As far as trouble shooting I have erased cookies, emptied cache, deleted my history, shut down all applications, restarted my computer, done a virus scan, reset preferences, unblocked and reblocked pop-ups, reset safari, made sure software was up to date, uninstalled and reinstalled Opera and Firefox...
This has been going on a few months now so I have searched people having similar issues and have tried a few of their tactics but it seems as if their issues were to a specific website so I have not found anything that even slightly improves the issue yet.

Why can't I link to any websites using Blogger?

I recently set up a blog using Blogger and the link button doesn't link me to any websites. The test link shows that everything is fine but the text, when published, doesn't have a link to anything - shows just the test. I have already contacted Blogger and posted this question and examples on their forums. I have been told that the links work perfectly on Firefox 3.6 and they are correctly set up with all the proper coding. No one seems to be able to give ma an answer. I can't get this to work in Explorer or Safari either.

Does the link work on a different device or a computer? It's possible the video they linked to is not available for viewing on a mobile device, or that the link is bad.

I can't get to any websites using Firefox or IE but AOL works fine.

When I open Firefox or IE, the home pages are fine but then both just hang without loading any websites. Both just show the progress wheel circling. Sometimes clockwise green and sometimes counter clockwise gray. No issues with AOL. Problem started a couple of days ago after a scheduled computer update. Before that, I would get messages on Firefox that shockwave plugin and/or java plugins stopped working or crashed but would still be able to access sites like ebay. I've repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox which would work for briefly and then revert back to nothing happening. Repeatedly restarting the computer would allow both browsers to access a site or two and then they would freeze. Ran a full scan on Norton with no problems or malware discovered. Updated Java and I've also checked to see that there was no problem with the firewall and also reset the winsock. Help?

N82 Imaging & Video recording Problems

first Imaging with my N82 firmware V31 I have problem with exposure compensation(photos are to bright when camera uses flash) I tested in various conditions and came to result ; in mid light conditions exposure have to be at -0.5 at low light conditions(darkness) exposure have to be -1.0
second Video for bright light conditions I have no complane but for mid(indoor) light conditions for exsample in room with normal light conditions or low light when I recor on this cotitions videos during play back just bloks and skips that mean no smooth playback at all. douse any agree with me.

I didn't find this kinds of problem in imagine & video (in normal light condition) in mine using the latest firmware. It playback the video smoothly. Re-install the firmware again or from nokia care & see wht happens.

When on the websites, youtube, hulu, vimeo and other various entertainment and educational sites, video will never load or will continually crash. I can only SOMETIMES watch while constantly refreshing the page.

- You may want to try to disable protected mode as its a high source of crashes and freezes of flash.

No Video will play on any site using Safari, but I do get the audio

This is a problem I've had for some time now. I've just switched over to FireFox when there was a video I wanted to watch instead of taking the time to fix it.
Anyway, when trying to watch a video

I get no video at all, but I can hear the audio perfectly. Not sure what is going on here.
I just upgraded to Leopard and was hoping this would resolve itself, but not such luck. Anyone have any ideas what the problem is?

That Guided Tour of Leopard works fine for me. Perhaps you need to tweak a few settings:

In Quicktime Preferences, under advanced, UNcheck Enable Flash, and under Mime settings/Miscellananeous only check Quicktime HTML (QHTM).
In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them).
Now go to Safari Preferences/Security, and tick the boxes under Web Content (all 4 of them).
Lastly open Audio Midi Setup (which you will find in the Utilities Folder of your Applications Folder) and click on Audio Devices. Make sure that both Audio Input and Audio Output, under Format, are set to 44100 Hz.
Important: Now repair permissions and restart.
The world should now be your oyster!
You should also consider having the free VLC Player from http://www.videolan.org/ in your armory, as this plays almost anything that DVD Player might not.

How to stop any upload function to any website,email ....etc

I want to secure my environment. The employees are editing docuemnts ,and they are using firefox for surfing the internet too. All what I want to do is to control upload from local hard disk into your browser, by any how... upload pop up, drag and drop ....etc

A simple question expecting a simple solution, but you have ''opened a can of worms''
Management is only noticing the insecurity issue & attributing it to Firefox because Firefox is easy to use and presumably highly visible and available.

If the employees have access to the local hard drive with Firefox they probably also have access via the OS anyway. They may have access to a lot more than you realise.

Again it appears employees have unrestricted internet access.
No doubt any employee could just install another copy of Firefox, another browser, or just use a browser or complete OS on a memory stick.
I know I have drifted off the original subject as in your question but it would be worth reviewing security in more depth.

This forum is not the place to discuss internet or corporate security, nor the place to discuss just what a school-age child may do with a computer! I did however think it worth trying to explain why the original question may not be a Firefox problem.
