Image width=auto height=auto problems in Internet Explorer

I thought I was having an issue with my MM_swapimage in Internet explorer but it appears to be my images scale.
I have my main large image that has a width=auto height=auto which does not appear in Internet Explorer only
the smaller "thumb" images of varying size have a height=40px width=auto so that the different sizes of thumb images look horizontaly uniform. how do I get the images to work without setting the exact scale for each image?

once I removed the "auto" setting everything worked just fine, the images came in at the proper pixel size, and the thumb nail images where proportional in size seeing how I had a height set of 40 px the width took care of itself.
Any Ideas on where I can find a good tutorial on client login and password to access pages with their content?

Java Applet Background Color Problem on Internet Explorer

The menu bar is writting in Java Applet. If you scroll down the page, and scroll back up, I see white background as I scroll back up. It happens only on Internet explorer. Neither Java Applet nor HTML Body bg color is white. I am kinda lost, and any help would really be appreciated.

Well I used HtmlConver utility to generate applet html code, so I assume nothing is wrong with Object tag. Do you know what could cause this problem on Internet explorer? To be honest, I spent last couple of days, but I am just lost. It absolutely works fine on Netscape.

Gui 7.0 windows xp, problem with Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello Gurus,
I am installing SAP GUI 7.00, on all the windows XP machines, of our SAP users. All the machines where GUI 7.00 is installed, are facing the problem with Internet Explorer. When we click on IE we don't get error but the requested URL do not show anything. Our version of Internet exploerer is 6.0.

Most printing issues are solved by resetting the Printing preferences. When you print from Firefox and you click on the down arrow, do you see Defualt and Firefox? Please make changes to the preferences here and preview the document.

Image loading problem on internet Explorer

I am doing an java game.My starting class is a class that extends JApplet.Then I am calling a class that extends JFrame.Then i am calling a class which extends a canvas.In the constructor of my canvas class i call a method loadImage(),which loads all the images used in my game.My game is working fine in appletViewer.but it is not working in internet Explorer.When I commennted the method loadImage() inside consructor of canvas class ,then my game is working on internet Explorer.I think there is some problem in loading the images.I am using .png images,which has a size of 87.2KB only which is very little as compared to an PC game.plz help me

internet explorer by default uses the MSVM (microsoft's version of the Sun VM). This VM only runs Java 1.1 code. You can check if this is the problem by using this 1.1-compliant applet below:

<applet code="Test" width="400" height="400"></applet>when you run the applet in Internet Explorer, if you see anything about "Java 1.1" or something similiar, then the problem is that IE is using the MSVM instead of the Sun VM.
You may want to also run this applet in Mozilla Firefox, because Firefox uses the correct JRE that is installed on the system. If the applet running in Firefox does NOT say 1.1 (e.g 1.4, 1.5, etc), then you have the correct JRE. In this case, go to Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced. Scroll down this list until you see the checkmark that says "Use JRE x.x.x for <applet> tag (requires restart)." Ensure this box is checked.
If that box is already checked, or if the applet in Firefox also says "1.1," then you probably don't have the latest JRE installed. See http://java.com/ to grab the latest JRE.

Image width and height

I cannot get DW8 to insert the width and height automatically
whern inserting an imge. Can anyone help me with it. TIA

I have just discovered that if you do the insertion when Code
view and
Design view are 'in synch', i.e., neither the Property
inspector nor the CSS
panel have a "Refresh" button, the width and height will be
inserted in Code
view.

CS5 Device Central Stage.width/Stage.height update problem when change the device profile.

When creating FL 3.0/3.1 app and testing it at the CS5 Device Central if you change the profile of the active device(select different phone with different screen size) Stage.width/Stage.height could't change. Always stays the same as the first device's Stage.width and height. Even if you add addListener with Delegate nothing happends. Also it effects to Screen Oriantation. It looks like a problem or is this a bug?

Having the same problem, though I can't get it to connect even once. I just started researching the problem tonight - no solution yet...
I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Production Premium CS 5.5.
I've got no other internet issues, Adobe update works fine.

The crawled property of Image width and height - is there a differnce when the image is png format?

We are indexing file share with images and get the properties of Image Width, Image Height, Image Size (we show it as refiners in SharePoint after make it managed properties). Somehow when the picture is png format - we see only Size but not height and width.
Is that any setting that should be done in the file share (when i select an image in the windows explorer window i can see all its properties, and it seems that png files do expose the width and height properties

According to your description, my understanding is that when you tried to crawl file share with images, the ows_ImageWidth and ows_ImageHeight crawled property for PNG file could not be generated.
For your issue, I can reproduce your issue in my SharePoint 2013 environment. For a workaround, you can upload the PNG images into SharePoint images Library and they would work fine.

Youtube video's seem to "freeze" the image while the audio continues playing. Never had that problem with Internet Explorer...how can I fix this?

I used to use a different...server?...Internet Explorer. Before, when I used that, I could watch video's on youtube and they would run smoothly-image and sound in perfect sync. Now that I'm using Firefox per suggestion of a computer savvy friend, I can't watch youtube vid's in the same way. Most of the time, the audio will keep playing, but the image will stop. The only way I've discovered to prevent this is to be playing with the mouse on the side of the screen constantly. (which, when playing music video's for background while cooking dinner in the kitchen, it's rather impractical to be running back and forth to be playing with the mouse)
I'm not a very computer savvy person. I'm using a laptop...it's an Acer...I think I have either Windows Vista or Windows 7...

I scanned my computer and see that it is not a virus problem. The problem lies with FoxNews.com not being compatible with the latest Flash Player or plug-in. I can view on-site videos from within Firefox on all sites except FoxNews. It is the only site that has a huge separating space in the middle of the front page. and that displays a large area of code words where it should have an ad: "clicksor_default_url = '';clicksor_banner_border = '#99CC33'; clicksor_banner_ad_bg = '#FFFFFF';clicksor_banner_link_color = "
I ran the super bug-killer "ComboFix" (thinking the code was from the "Clicksor" virus) and was relieved to discover that it wasn't a virus.
I can easily view videos on FoxNews from within Internet Explorer (and there is no "clicksor" code displayed in IE either). The problem lies somewhere within the Firefox version of Adobe's Flash Player /plug-in or FoxNews' incompatible code. Users are being kept up-to-date with the latest Adobe updates, but FoxNews must be using old software and needs to catch up. There must be a lot of people having this problem.

Spry Menu Bar Horizontal Problem in Internet Explorer

I'm having a problem with a spry menu bar. It works fine in Firefox and Google Chrome, but in Internet Explorer the submenus shift to the right.

Spry Alignment and Positioning Problem in Internet Explorer 6 and 7

I am designing a website at http://atoment.007gb.com, and neither me, nor my partner can figure out why the Spry Horizontal Menu Bar is loading the way it is in Internet Explorer. We are doing this for a school project, and eye appeal and workability is a top priority. I changed and customized most of it, but even if i did keep it the same, it still wouldn't work. I have only the best confidence, that even given the amount i have changed, you will still be able to help me with my alignment problem.
The Submenu Buttons Tile across the page, when they are supposed to go straight down...
the Submenu overlaps the main menu when you hover over it
and the darned thing wont center in any of my browsers, but thats the least of my worries.

The original SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css does not have any issues in any of the browsers. If you go and modify the original, and it does not work anymore, then the logical conclusion is that you have made one or (more likely) multiple mistakes.
In other words, you cannot make it work with what you already have.
My advice is that you replace the original CSS and work from there; but instead of changing the original CSS, make your changes in a separate stylesheet so that you can monitor and test the code at each change. For instance if you want to change the colour of the text you make a style rule that overrides the original in your new stylesheet as follows:

Weird text problem in Internet Explorer

I have a totally puzzling issue with my text in my website.
The problem is that it looks fine when the site is previewed in Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari but when previewed in Internet Explorer for some unknown reason some of the text displays incorrectly as illustrated in image 2 below.
I have been trying for days to solve this issue but nothing I have tried so far can solve the issue. Is anyone out there familiar with this bug?
