ImageBrowser EX 1.5.0.6 Still will not load on my machine

I used ZoomBrowser with no problem. It did what I wanted it to do. It helped me to organize my photos before I would manage them using Picasa. Then all of a sudden a number of months ago, Canon decides that it wants to eliminate ZoomBrowser and migrate everyone over to something calle ImageBrowser. Since its first implementation, I've never been able to get the program to load on my computer. I've gone through the forums and tried everything they've asked of me and still, whenever I launch the program, I run into the same problem. The splash screen loads and it cycles from 0-80% rather quickly but then hangs only to error out (if I leave it alone for 2 or so minutes). Has anyone found a fix for this problem? If so, I would appreciate sharing the knowledge as I'm extremely frustrated at this point. All I want to do is organize my photos, this isn't rocket science.
Here's my relevant machine info:
Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit
AMD FX 8320 processor
12 GBs RAM

Canon still maintains a full version of ZoomBrowser v6.6.0b [full application] on our web site. Click here to download that version and install. Once you have it installed, go back to the same page linked above and grab the ZoomBrowser 6.9.0a Updater and that will take you to the latest version.

Firefox will not load my gmail, cleaned history, still will not load. I switched to goggle Chrome and I have no trouble with loading all programs. What is going on?

All of a sudden it will not load my gmail. Restarted my computer, cleaned up history still not working on gmail. recently updated Firefox a few days ago, but I have not had trouble until today with loading gmail. Worked earlier.

The problems are getting worse. I think I will have to give up on Firefox and go with the Google browser. No problems with IE just firefox and I can't take it anymore.

What version of iTunes does she have? Updating it will have no impact on the songs in her library. As far as your PC, if you can't use iTunes you can use 3rd party software such as Winamp or Xplay.

I followed your instructions and installed Developer Suite 10G on Windows Vista Home Premium edition. I have Oracle 11G DB running on the same machine.
Two points, Steve:
1. When I tried to set the maximum virtual memory to 6110 an error message displayed from Windows and told me that I can't set the maximum virtual memory to more than 4096. I set it to 4090 and it worked and I got nothing wrong during the installation process.
2. After installing JInitiator and disabling Java on Firefox I called the http://127.0.0.1:8889/forms/frmservlet page and everything seemed to be OK because the Oracle Forms Services logo appeared and then a successful installation message appeared , but as I clicked (ok) to continue a gray screen appeared inside the browser (like the one displayed when you try to run a Java applet inside a browser) and then I wait to death till something appears but sadly nothing. I just get a blank gray screen inside my Firefox browser.
Do you have any idea what to do to solve the problem?

i had itunes 4 on my computer, but when brought new ipod needs version 6 to run, the disc will not reistall itunes, keeps come up with error 1335 about data cab. have tried the crib sheet on window install - no joy, have removed all old version and still will not load and also downloaded itunes over the net and same load up problem

Matthew Sliva's response saved the day. I had been trying for hours, following every lead, every suggestion. Going into Windows\Downloaded Installations and deleting the appropriate folders/files helped immensely. After that I had trouble with loading QuickTime, but once I went into Program Files\QT\QT System\QT Essentials.Resources\nlproj and deleting it everything loaded up fine and I now have my iTunes back. Almost makes one not want to upgrade to the latest version.

I run the scanner and it still will not load at all....something in this new firefox the will not let it load there was absolutely nothing foung on my computer when it was scanned. Before the upgrade it worked on this computer. I even removed it completely and redownloaded it and nothing seems to work.

Does this happen all the time? Does it happen on a specific site? What internet connection do you have?

Lookout 6.1 will not load on my computer

I am trying to upgrade To Lookout 6.1 and get a message that I need Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8 SP1 I downloaded 2.8 and Lookout still will not install. My machine will not download MDAC 2.81. I am currently running Lookout 4.5 on my computer which is Windows XP Home Edition Version 2 Service Pack 1. What do i need to be able to load Lookout 6.1?
