IMAGENES ANIMADAS EN UN TPC

Saludos
Gracias
My question is single. Can I to load VI's gif, swf or wrl files in a Touch panel (I'm using TPC 2006). The TPC 2006 has Windows CE, and i don't find some function that to drive this files.
Thanks

    Hi,
the problem whit NI 9223 module and the example that you talk about is know. Indeed, there is a CAR - Corrective Action Request - #30724 that deals with the erroneous implementation of the example.
To improve the code, the owner of CAR, suggest:
Added pipelining loops and removed from FPGA VI to Increase maximum acquisition rate and modified host VI to implement proper DMA FIFO programming practices.
I try to implement and improve the code. Bye

  • LabVIEW Touch Panel -- I can not get activesync to connect between the TPC-2012 and my XP workstation. There is no USB client connection on TPC-2012

How do I get the TPC-2012 to connect to my workstation?  I have read all the hardware manuals, getting started manuals: nothing works.  The remote access using http://x.x.x.x/RemoteAdmin does not work.  I have tried to get the FTP service working using the instructions in "How do I configure the FTP server on tpc-2006 and TPC-2016" .  Active sync seems to want a USB connection only.  I have tried to connect a serial line between com1 on the TPC and com4 on my XP workstation with no results.
I have been able to use the touch panel module with my iPAQ. It worked flawlessly the first time.

    Hi David,
thank you once again for your help.
So when viewing your Local Area Connection>>Status
you're seeing data packets sent but no packets received on your desktop
    machine? - Yes
Is your desktop configured with a static IP address or is it
configured to obtain an IP address automatically?I' ve tried both static IP address and that it obtain IP address automatically, I have also done it with the TPC.
    Also, does your TPC
get a valid IP address when the connection to your desktop is present? - when TPC is set to obtain adress automatically it gets IP address and then after some time it loses it - it is set to 0.0.0.0, and then it obtains the IP adress again and so on.
Can you provide the address, subnet, and gateway you're getting for
both machines?- I've done it, but it didn'e help
Also any firewall settings or exceptions you may have
active if the firewall is enabled? - firewall is disabled
I'd also like to know what
modules and toolkits you do have installed on both the TPC - TPC is new and I haven't installed there anything.
On my desktop - I have standard Labview 8.2,the real time module is installed. All I know, there are already drivers for TPC2012 in this LabView version. On the included CD I have only drivers for another TPCs.
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Jeff,
I really don't know much about the TPC-2006, but have you seen this KnowledgeBase:  How To Make Executable Start Upon Boot Up of theTPC-60S?  Clearly you're familiar with the TPC Configurator Method, but I believe that the second method will work for you.  Taking my cue from this post I believe that you can move the file to the HardDisk folder to avoid losing them.
Let me know how this goes for you!

  • How to generate TPC-E schema/data sets in Oracle 11g

    Hi,
I want to use TPC-E schema in my Oracle 11g database (Standard) and also want to use DATA SETS from this benchmark for some kind of testing.
I've download EGen v1.8.0 from this TPC website:
    http://www.tpc.org/tpce/default.asp
but don't know who to implement this benchmark database into my computer's database. I'll appreciate if someone please suggest me how to do this...
    Thanks alot.

I want to find Optimal size of a data block size as this is the one parameter which can increase the performance of a database or decrease it.If there is a single optimal size, that would surely be the default Oracle block size - as Oracle should know perhaps better than any of us, just what block size differences do as it is their code that uses it?
Can I ask why you said that you would not have chosen this topic as a thesis? My leaning has always been to expert systems and A.I. Even designed and written my own expert system language years ago. One thing that is critical in such systems is how you structure data - and that has a nice database angle to it. One that I believe can still be exploited for research purposes.
Don't you think that it'll benefit DBA's or database developer after I reach a successful conclusion? To be honest, in the real world of database systems, the least of my concerns are data block sizes. For example, we're busy putting together a storage array that should have a maximum I/O pipe size of 40Gb. In comparison, we currently use dual 2Gb fibre channels on most of our servers for our I/O.
Technology moves fast. And perhaps there is an ideal block size for the standard storage array and Oracle instance today - but that could invalidated by new technology next year. Would I want to spend time and effort studying and analysing and researching a very specific technical subject, that perhaps is not considered as of that critical importance by DBAs and perhaps can be outdated with new technology and techniques?
I honestly do not want to put you off studying db block sizes. Perhaps there's still some critical issues to uncover in that respect. But personally.. there are many other subject areas in database technology that peak my interest a lot more. But then you have your personal preferences and likes and dislikes - and data blocks could be your muse. :-)

  • How to display elapsed time on TPC-2006 (Pocket PC 2003) as mm:ss?

The small attached PDA vi is a simple "egg timer" that measures elapsed time in minutes and seconds.  I've tried every formatting trick I can think of, but cannot get my TPC-2006 to display the elapsed time as mm:ss.  It always displays single digit minutes and seconds using one digit instead of 2.  By this I mean that an elapsed time of 1 minute and 6 seconds will display as 1:6.  My customer expects that elapsed time to display as 01:06.
I tried attaching a %t constant to the "format string" input of the "format into string" sub-vi, but the deployed display showed %t instead of elapsed time.
The second question is, how do I get rid of the up/down icons in the strip display box?  They do not show in the virtual front panel, but always show up in the deployed application.

    Hi Jeff,
I solved your first problem. The format string you were looking for to wire into the Format Into String function is %02.0f. Honestly, I can never remember what the syntax is for format strings, but I've devised a method anyone can use to make it really easy. First of all, place a numeric constant on the block diagram. Right click the constant and select Format and Precision. From that dialog, make the changes you like. You can actually see the changes propogate to the constant in real-time if you can see the block diagram constant. In your case, the change you wanted to make was Zero Padding - 2 spaces - pad with zeros on the left. After you've configured your number to look like you want, click on the Advanced Editing Mode radio button at the bottom. This is where you can manually enter in Format Strings for numeric constants or controls. The trick is, whatever changes you currently have made in the default editing mode will show up as a format string that you can copy and paste and use as you like. Hope this helps!

  • Error installing NI TPC Service on a 3rd party windows XPe Based Touch Panel

    Hi,
First of all sorry for my English.
I'm having trouble when i try to install NI TPC SERVICE on a 3rd party Touch Panel that runs Windows XPe (Embedded).
I have tried lot of time. I'm installing the msi application for XPe from the folder "NI_TP_Service" of the Installation Path for LabVIEW 8.6 Touch Panel Module.
The installer file hungs after installing the service and just when it tries to initialize it and I get a Error Windows that says "Error 1920. Service 'NI TPC Service' (NITPCService) falied to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
I'm logged as Administrator, and I don't know what to do.
If anyone know what can i do I'll be pleased in hearing the answer.
    Regards

    Hi AlexDarsigny,
You will need either the Touch Panel Module or the Datalogging and Supervisory Control Module (DSC). Either of these modules will allow you to deploy and install NI software to your touch panel. They also include many other features for developing those applications. You will also need a deployment license for any non-NI touch panel that you plan on deploying the applications to. The other software needed on the touch panel itself will include the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine and the NI TPC Service. The following link has some information on this:
    http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371618H-01/lvxpe/tpc_install_tpc_srvc/
Once deployed, the program will run as a stand-alone application that can be started from the HMI itself. Of course this depends on the functionality you create within the application, just like you would for any standard LabVIEW application.

  • RRM Neighbor Message/RRM Neighbor Message dBm threshold/Recommended TPC settings

From reading Cisco’s Radio Resource Management under Unified Wireless Networks (Document ID: 71113) and the following Post (https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/10747596/configure-rrm-wlcs-avoid-interferences), I have a few questions which I am trying to get some clarification.
    Questions
What is the default dBM an AP needs to receive/ “hear” a Neighbor Message at? Towards the beginning of the document, it states “…WLCs will add neighbors to their lists given they are heard at greater than or equal to -80 dBm and will only then remove them once their signals dip below -85 dBm.”  However, towards the middle of the document, it states “the RF Group Leader will apply the TPC algorithm on a per-band, per-AP basis to adjust AP power transmit levels downward such that the third loudest neighbor AP will then be heard at a signal level of -70dBm (default value or what the configured value is) or lower and the TCP hysteresis condition is satisfied.”
When a Neighboring AP is no longer “heard” at -85 dBm or better, is the RF coming from the AP considered interference, co-channel interference if the two APs are on the same channel, Foreign Interference, or noise?  I think it is co-interference but I am not sure.
What are the recommended settings for the power?  Is it best practice to go with the defaults (Max 30 dBm/Min -10 dBm)? Reading the following post from Araon (https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/10747596/configure-rrm-wlcs-avoid-interferences) he recommended -74dBm based upon the output from the show ap auto-rf 802.11b <Cisco AP Name>.   I am open to suggestions. (Please note:  I do see this AP does not “hear” three other APs at -85 dBm or better. I understand this does affect RRM.)
    Thank you,
    T.J.

    Hello Philip,
    Thanks for your valuable inputs.
Tweaking in max & min Tx power would certainly help us keep tab on upper on lower transmit powers that we want our APs to be working in.
I was looking for a solution wherein rrm is influenced such that the power is lowered approximately one step down so as to contain co-channel interference. Tweaking in 'transmit power threshold' really came in handy for me. Got the expected response from a test setup( https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/message/461855#461855 ). Will be putting it into production and sharing here the results.
Now the only concern was no having all the APs with 'transmit power threshold' changed from default. Want to keep it an hybrid environment, few with -75dBm and others with default -70dbm.
Would AP grouping/ rf profiling come in handy for me?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Adnan

  • Do not use tpc 2106T for custom animation Purpose

I was trying to use TPC2106T for developing a MMI for an application. To my surprise the Labview in built functions for creating custom animations (eg ring control)  does not work for TPC2106T .I had been told this is to do with Windows CE OS (which is installed in TPC)
So please be careful if you want to use TPC2106T for custom made animation as you might suffer like me.I am using labview 8

    In theory, it can be.
Currently, no one has moderation rights, but they are in the pipeline. A moderator will be able to send a private message to an individual explaining why a post or a thread has been deleted, or warning of impending action if that person's behaviour is felt to be disruptive.
Anyone feeling Waller is a wally or a jolly good fellow will be able to share that information privately.
Also, someone wishing to commission private (paid) help can do so via a private message. It's up to the individual approached to decide whether to accept such a commission. But I think most of the volunteers who provide help here wish to do so in an open and free manner.
Well, I don't mind helping people here, obviously, but I don't turn down work, either! 8)
And I certainly feel that Waller is a wall-er.  Does that count?

  • How can we communicate the TPC 2012maodule with cRIO module without using the Local software system

    Hi everybody
Iam using TPC-2012 module with cRIO 9074 device.I made exe file and deployed into the harddisk of TPC. We are getting input/output values  on TPC only when the Software loaded system is on,if we switch off the system,we wont get the input/output on the TPC.all are connected through LAN connection.

The best programming practice would be to create variables under the RT target (which means you are hosting the library on the RT target and not on the PC). You, then, just need to drag and drop the variables that you created into the TPC VIs block diagram.
If you are interested in TCP/IP, look up the examples in the Example Finder (Help -> Find Examples) or search on NIs website.
Also, be sure to go through the following article:

  • TPC 2012 - Problems with shared variable

    Hi,
I tried to program simmilar thing to this one http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5548 on TPC 2012. But it doesn't work.I can see that both programs on my laptop and TPC are working(I've added an additional counter with display), but I cannot see any effect on TPC when I change the value of shared variable on my laptop. I use LabView 8.6 with Touch Panel Module. My question is what are the exact steps to run such application on TPC2012? Are they the same as for TPC 2006?
    I've noticed following issues:
1.I cannot deploy the program from Project Manager(there is an information that maybe TPC Service is not started. - I've found such information about TPC Service http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/DE177828D27A14A48625734E00768B66 but in fact I cannot find Start » All Programs»National Instruments » NI TPC Service » NI TPC Service Manager 1.0 Does it mean, that the TPC Service is not installed and the programm with shared varibles won't be working or can I start it somehow in another way? Do I need to have TPC service installed on TPC2012?
Until now, I've built the project and sent it through FTP to TPC(the folder was /TEMP) and then started it.
    2.Ping works OK
Thank you in advance for any hints how to solve this problem.
    Martin

Well no problem, but I'm frustrated with this issue... I've tested many things and nothing. Just to help someone else as I in the future, these are my sources:

  • Is it possible to use a CompactDAQ and NI-DAQmx in the TPC-2212 with Windows 7 Embedded System?

    Hi,
I would like to develop a application with the TPC-2212 (Touch panel computer)  and a CompactDaq System (NI9237 - 4-Channel, ±25 mV/V, 24-Bit Simultaneous Bridge Module).
Is it possible or I should use a panel pc?
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

This thread is a bit old, but I thought it would be worth while responding (as I was wondering the same thing a day ago).
The answer to the OP's concern(s) is YES, you can install DAQmx on your Windows 7 embedded TPC-2212 touch panel device while connecting to your cDAQ hardware.  YES, it will function (depending on your memory constraints).  DAQmx BASE is NOT a requirement (which, to me, seems very ambiguous if you're referring to NI's documentation for the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module).
My confusion began when it seemed using the Touch Panel Module for the 2212 was a requirement, not an option.  If one proceeds with this assumption, then referring to the TPM documentation:
    http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371940d.pdf
NOTE: this link above is to an older version, but the content itself (also installed locally with the TPM in \\manuals\TPC_Getting_Started.pdf) remains relatively unchanged.
Section "Installing Additional Tools" clearly states "You must install additional tools on the target depending on the functionality you need."  Immediately following is the installation procedures for DAQmx Base.  You'll see the same statement in the LabVIEW help files that get installed with the TPM on your development machine.  Nowhere does it state, for Windows Embedded, that it's possible to use DAQmx itself.
Because DAQmx is a bit of a heavy weight, you'll probably want to go with the Runtime (with MAX) as I did:
Search for 'NI DAQmx Run-Time Engine - Configuration with MAX'.  I would have posted a link, but NI's site was down for maintenance at the time of this post.
Connect to your 2212 over a network connection (I just used a cross over cable and connected directly).  Create a shared directory and copy the downloaded installer on over - install.  You could, of course, download direct if your 2212 is already networked with web access.
I have my test station application running beautifully with an attached (USB) cDAQ chassis loaded with a variety of modules.
I hope this post is as useful for somebody else as it would have been for me.
