Imageready 3.0 Export DISABLED???

What happened to my Imageready 3.0?
I used to be able to open animated gifs, then export the animation frames as files, but now the "export" option is greyed-out!
I KNOW this USED to work. Did some background "update" disable this feature? If so, I'm going to be very angry!

Thanks for your response. I'll have to check and see what the settings were (probably won't know for a couple of days due to the travel issue). But my guess is that the default settings were used so perhaps the "Best Quality" was not used. So that is worth looking into. Though maybe not as your post suggests that based upon the description maybe the best setting was used (though as noted, it did not take as long as expected to burn the DVD, including compression time). I will report back when I know more.

Share/Export Disabled - HTML publish questions

I would like to export my Keynote 09 as an HTML file, and I am currently able to do so using either Share/HTML or File/Export/HTML. But, when I do, I see no way of turning off the player (next slide, prev slide, audio, pause) that appears at the bottom of the slides. Also, none of my transistions/animations seem to work. (But the main issue at this point is how to turn off the player.) I went to the user manual and it states that to export to HTML, I should use the Share/Export menu, and shows that menu with more options than I get via the other methods. However, that option is grayed out for me. Another issue (while I'm asking) is - when I do publish to HTML, is there any way to keep the text as text, rather than have it all converted to images?

There are a number of ways to export MP4s from a Premiere Elements project.
As Bill says, you can export it for portable devices using Share/Portable Devices/iPod.
If you're exporting it for display on the web, you should use John Cloudman's output settings in the FAQs to the right of this forum. (Although you are selecting the MOV output, it will come out as an MP4 because you are using the H.264 codec.)

Disable "Save as Source/Movie" and keep the progressive download

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to save a .mov that has saving/exporting disabled AND retains it's progressive download?
I'm using the 'Save as Uneditable' Applescript droplet from the Apple website, but it cancels out the progressive download of the file.
There must be some way of doing this without the Quicktime Streaming Server!

Your side by side example makes it very clear that something else happens after running the Droplet in Tiger.
Fast Start means Progressive Download.
The original AppleScript was "broken" by Tiger and I had to "modify" it to work on my machine. I wonder if something (10.4.4 or QT 7.0.4 updates) now allow it to work but, not correctly, on your machine.
Send me an email (screen name at left at mac.com) and I'll send you a copy of my revised Droplet so you can test it.
Then we'll both learn what happened.

Only web beans that are rendered on the page are ever exported. If you export data from multiple regions in a page, each region appears in the export file in a tabular format, with a row of column names for that region, followed by rows of corresponding values.

i found a new document that Oracle Application Component Reference, Release 12.1.3
exportButton can be used as follows:
Exporting the data of all regions on a page.
To do this, create a contentFooter region under the pageLayout
region of that specific page. Then add an "Export Button" to the
contentFooter region. If more than one button needs to be
added to the contentFooter, then they should be put under a
flowLayout region, which should then be added to the
contentFooter.

Error from MSFC

I'm testing a Sup1/MSFC module and it gives this error. The Sup is able to come up but the MSFC doesn't boot properly(Ronmon). I think it's the MSFC card faulty, but would like to seek expert opinion from here.

Automatically opening many files as one

Any suggestions on quickly opening many different JPG files as one layered CS2 Photoshop file?

When you are finished with the images, ImageReady can also export layers to files and retain the names, or generate new names.
PS CS 2 can do some of the layers export part, but I don't have it open now to check just what.
I do this sort of thing quite a bit to generate large batches of color swatches and extract still frames from animations, or to stack still frames into an animation.
I find it handy to have a batch renamer around to fix up file names that aren't perfect.
If you do this a lot, CS3 extended may be a good choice for you when it's time to upgrade. Since I have the Extended version, I've never checked to see just what the base version is lacking in this regard, but the Extended version has lots of goodies in this area.

Help when I save file lines BLur

Hello I do not use AI very often a client sent me their logo in AI to add to their website.
The logo has a curved stroke around it, when I try to save the file as gif, png, jpeg etc the lines blur and look awful. I have no idea why or how to fix any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stuff for websites normally has to be 72 ppi, so fine lines can get pixelated like you describe.
Maybe you can marginally increase stroke weights just to get things to look better - probably no-one will notice.
It's probably better to copy your artwork to Photoshop/ImageReady rather than exporting from Illy. That way you can control things in pixel format from the start. It's a good idea to start with considerably more resolution than you need in the final file. That way you won't lose more than you absolutely have to.
If you are saving as gif you should take a look at the number of colours you are using. You can often sharpen things up by reducing the number of colours. You can also have a look at the kind of dither you want. You can often improve things by various tweaks there.
I'm not a great expert on this kind of work but this is the way I often do things. I somehow don't quite trust the Illy export options.

Cs3 trial

hi i am new and i am interisted in buying encore cs3 and premiere cs3 and photoshop cs3
1. i have heard the other versions do not work on vista which is what i have so that is why i need cs3. if any of the ther versions of premiere and encore work on vista please let me know.
2. i have asked a freind and he said you do not get the mpg encoding with the premiere trial (asuming that is the same for cs3 because he was talking about premiere pro 2) so that does not bother me since it is just a trial.
3. but what about encore cs3? adobes site does not have a trial for it. when i click on trial it redirects me to the premiere cs3 trial. i know that when buying the full version of premiere cs3 you get encore cs3 and some other program. is the encore cs3 trial included in with the premiere trial?
4 if so what features are disabled in the encore cs3, premiere cs3 trial and disabled in the photoshop cs3 trial.
i want to try the programs out before i decide to buy them to see if i like them. if someone could help would be great.

Same thing for Encore3... except since it is designed to work ONLY with licensed software, there is no trial at all
Don't believe a WORD of it myself.
There were trials of 1.0, 1.5 & 2.0
Trials of PPro 1.0, 1.5 & 2.0 all had MPEG export disabled then too, yet fully working in Encore.
The *only* change is tha Encore CS3 is NOT a standalone product, so it is completely pointless giving a trial version.
There are NO new DVD features over CS2, so that hasn't changed.

K3b transcode issues

I'm trying to rip an encrypted dvd with k3b. When I first installed k3b with pacman I think it missed transcode as a dependency because when I tried to rip it said it needed it and to make sure it's installed. So I installed it and finally started ripping but half way through I got an error. Here is the debug log (I couldn't paste the entire log because chrome would crash when I tried, guess it's to much. I tried googling this issue but it seems to be pretty specific to me. I did find would result but it was with another program for windows so I didn't read to much into that. Do any of you have any ideas?

I think that unlike some mswin progs, k3b reports honest values for speed, and this is as likely pegged to the quality of media than anything else.
Just a theory of course.
Anyway, what we all want is a good burn, regardless if it's slower ...
But what else is around apart from k3b? I used xcdroast in years gone by, but I don't see it around so much anymore. What are some good alternatives?

List- Export- Spreadsheet option disabled in ALV Report

In one of the ALV Report the option List->Export->Spreadsheet option is disabled. How to enable that option?

Export menu is disabled in a custom form

In a custom form EXPORT menu option is always disabled.How it will be enabled for all the responsibility.what will be the code or set-up. I tried to enable to write code like

In 11.0.3 You had to create a "prompt" block, with the same name of the block You want to enable export for, plus the _prompt prefix, and then put text item non-database for the fields to export. Do a quick try with only what field to see if that enables the menu, and the personalize what other fields to export.

Can I export PSD layers to PSD files like I could do in ImageReady 2?

I've been chasing this Layer Export Nirvana for a couple of years now but I've got nowhere.
In ImageReady 2 I could import a PSD file and export layers with exactly the name I used for each layer (with no annotations, prefixes or suffixes), with the entire file size (not cropped to the edge of the image) in a PSD format.
The script in Photoshop adds extenions to the file name that I can't see how to turn off.
I've tried a couple of free (SciptsRus) and commercial (Ferry) scripts but they don't seem to work with my version of Photoshop (Mac CS5 OS X 10.7.4). Is this a result of the recent Javascript updates with Mac OS X 10.7? I'll contact the authors of these scripts next and see what they say.
I tried a PC program called Super Layer which exports to PNG files and almost was what I wanted except it cropped the file size to the size of the image. I could get away with this I suppose if I copied a 1% single pixel into each corner of the file but that would be time consuming for all the layers I need to export (500-600) and means I'd have to rasterise the type layers which is also double handling.
I've even tried Graphic Converter on a Mac but can't get that to quite work. I end up with solid white backgrounds and no transparency.
All I want is to open a PSD file (preferably on Mac OS) and export each layer at the same size on a transparent background with just the name of the layer as the file name as a PSD file. I'll alos accept .PNG format as well as long as I get transparency and full file size. Just like we could do with brilliant effeiciency with ImageReady CS2. I've actually kept an old version of ImageRady on my PC for just this purpose but surely in the 21st Century there is a way around this?

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with some of the scripts. Normally this is due to the prefferences becoming corrupt. They can be trashed to see if all then works..

Disable Context Menu - Flash Professional Export (Flash 11.2 - CS6)

Flash 11.2 added the capability to attach an right-click mouse-event to MovieClips.
EX:
var mc:MovieClip = new MovieClip
mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.RIGHT_MOUSE_DOWN, myFunction);
When this listener is attached, it should be impossible for the Context Menu to pop up on right-click of this object. Flash disables the functionality.
When I export a new SWF from Flash Professional (CS6 Mac) and that SWF is embedded in the browser, it works as expected. Right-click does not spawn a context menu.
However, this is not the case with the flash player within Flash Professional. The flash player presented within Flash Professional just after export will does not hide the context menu.
While it's possible for me to develop by simply exporting the SWF and testing it in-browser, I lose out on all the debugging that Flash Professional offers.
How do I fix this issue?
NOTE:
This issue isn't with exporting to 11.2 - I can already do that. All changes mentioned in this tutorial have already been made with base install of Flash Professional CS6.
