Images appear glitchy (horizontal lines in weird places) when I try edit in any way

I have just downloaded CC and I'm using latest version of photoshop CC as of the date of this post, and my mac spec is:
In the above photo I simply tried to add black font on top of a image, the font colour is set the black and after i exit text edit mode the font colour goes to what I can only describe as TV Static colour.
In the above photo I simply tried to delete the white space at the bottom with the magic wand selection tool, it for some reason deletes a random square from the image, in this example the square is in the middle other times it is t the side or sometimes its in the area of the white space meant to be deleted.
I can't find any threads on this as Im not entirely sure what I should be googling. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Firstly just to confirm TC2 is plugged into TC1 by ethernet and bridged?
How are you trying to access TC2?? is it wireless.. or ethernet? If both are running at once turn one off.
How is the wireless setup if you use wireless?
Since PC need SMB access.. and the Mac is using AFP access.. sometimes strange things happen in that files are identical but different. Mac uses resource forks and other weird stuff.. linked to the file and when you try and open it on a pc it does strange stuff.
Make sure the TC is setup PC/SMB compatible.. ie all names are short, no spaces, pure alphanumeric.
That includes the TC name, Hard disk name and wireless names.
Setup workgroup correctly .. ie WORKGROUP generally.
Set user access correctly.. I turn on the guest account to read and write access.
If you don't have bonjour for windows loaded make sure it is.. or the full airport utility.
I recommend you create a directory from windows..
From the Mac, open one of your projects in Lightroom and export.. save as the file to the new directory in TC2 created from windows. I don't use Lightroom so I am not sure what options are available.. but I would try and use some compatible format if the main format fails to open.
Then try and open it again from windows.

If it has the same (bad) behavior on two different systems then there is a very good chance that the drive is toast.
BTW you'll get better response to your questions if the question actually reflects the problem you are having. In this case it would have been better to say you couldn't access the drive rather then that it doesn't show on the desktop.

This app sent content to and got content from the web based services of "CreatPDF" and "PDF Pack".
These are subscription services out in "the cloud". When the app was live you had to be online and signed into your account. The user forum for CreatePDF has a DOC that speaks to the app removal.

If you import your still images using iPhoto, then the time you set for each still, using FCPX Perferences works.
You can set the durantion from 1 frame to as long as you want them view.
If you do not use iPhoto to import your stills, the default is 10 sec's.
FYI: This issue was brought up within a month after FCPX was released. They found out by using iPhoto, you had better control of the amount of time your still was viewed.

1. Pre-select (highlight) the layer to move in the Layers panel. or-
2. [ALT+Right mouse click] to select the wanted layer in the image window.

3. Set the PS option to "Auto-select" a layer with cursor hover. (can be very confusing!)

It sounds as if your Apple TV is in Conference Room Display mode. You will need to turn this off. See this article -

Welcome to the Apple community.
Once three iCloud accounts have been created on any iOS device, it can you no longer be used to create any more accounts, regardless of what you do to it. You will need to use a computer or another iOS device to create your account and then use the details to log into your account on your phone.

Photoshop Images displaying a horizontal line

Framemaker 10 - Photoshop files (PSD) that I import (File -> Import -> File -> Copy into document) into my master pages are all displaying a horizontal line on the right side of the image. The line is not in the original image. Does anyone know what is causing this anomoly? Thanks Chris.

I'm having the same issue with the vertical line appearing on the right side of my .psd image in FrameMaker, but only when it is printed to .PDF.
Here are some of the things I've tried:
Checked the .psd image for layers and found none. Therefore, it can't be flattened.
Zoomed in on the right side to see if I have any phantom pixels, but have found none.
Used the trim tool (Image>Trim). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Tried saving as a pdf instead of printing to .pdf, but it still has the line.
The line reminds me of the "track edits" line that appears in the left margin of the text when tracking edits in FrameMaker. If I save the Photoshop image as an .eps file with Tiff preview and then print to .pdf from FrameMaker, the line isn't there. Has anyone figured out if it's a FrameMaker, Photoshop, or Acrobat thing?

Text appears as horizontal lines on certain websites or not at all

I tried searching for this problem on the board but most people only have the text overlapping problem. When I go to certain websites such as Suntrust Bank or imaging-resource.com the text does not load in some of the menus and appears as only horizontal lines or not at all BUT the link is still there if you hover over it. This is the first time it happens to me. Maybe its the newest version of Safari that is bugged? I am running version 3.1.1.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup
Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist.

I have a thin horizontal line running across my screen about 1/4 of the way from the bottom of the monitor. Why is it there and how do I get rid of it?

There is a thin horizontal line running across the width of my screen about 1/4 of the way from the bottom. This line, along with an occasional vertical line about a 1/3 of the way from the right side of my monitor, started appearing about 7 days ago. Usually the line would disappear after a restart but now it seems intent on staying. Does anyone know what is going on and how can I resolve this?

Try the standard fixes to rule out a hardware problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
If stil problem you very likely have a hardware problem.

Show Places in Gallery or iweb? any way to do it?

I have been playing with places for a while and have put some photographs up on my gallery.
The photos are all geo tagged and the location shows up in Long/Lat when you click the info button on the photos but, there does not appear to be anyway to look at the specific location on a map like Google Earth or something Apple provides.
Is there any way to do that?

By the way, I have a GPS device on order and will get it when I return from this trip but, I have come up with a workaround using my iphone.
I take a picture at the general location where I plan to shoot other photos and then download the iphone pictures first, name them in Iphoto and use the named location for the others.
Works pretty well, actually.

MobileMe does not currently have a mapping function - I have made a book and printed just the map page to PDF sending the PDF to iPhoto so I have it as a photo and can upload it to MobileMe
for now you may have to use sites that have geo connections - Panaramio, Locr, Flickr
