Images as buttons not pulling modified graphic?

Ok here is my issue... i have created buttons in photoshop for captivate to show a text bubble when a certian link/button is clicked.
I could not find a way to have text as a button and have a rollover effect without creating it as a image. (is there a way to do this?)
The issue comes in when i try to change the image. Captivate will not recognize the new image (saved as the same name) even if i delete the buton and add a new one. The images stay in the button library. I have tried to find the images in the image library but they are not there (all unused items were deleted) the only way i was able to fix the problem was to save the button as a new name... so it may have started as p5btn1 and then ended up as p5btn1_v9. Can anyone help me out with a better solution for buttons? As a side note... the buttons have to be 508 compliant (using Jaws) so i cannot use a smartshape as a button either.
Also im using captivate 6 and fairly new to captivate but have been desining for years. it just seems captivate has alot of funny bugs.

Hi, welcome to the forums,
You've discovered something that many of us have, unfortunately. As far as I'm aware, the function of the button library has not changed (although I haven't tested it in 7). A few workarounds that I've seen suggested to avoid building up a library full of unused, old buttons:
Do all your "testing" of buttons in a new project, and then copy over the final version of the button to your actual project
Clear your preferences (I think this works, although I haven't tested it myself. You'll lose any other preferences you've set.)

Attemping to upgrade APEX from 3.2 to 4.0. The installation script runs fine and updates the database successfully. I run the .sql to import the images and it ran successfully however when I attempt to access the APEX home page, the images are not loaded and the buttons don't do anything. I did some research through google but did not come to anything that resolved my issue. Does anyone have any ideas?

If you are using mod_plsql, you need to run @apxldimg.sql script with SYS user file present with Apex installation. Also provide the location of your apex folder as parameter to this script.

Rollover images with buttons not working on subsequent pages.

I'm trying to create an interactive PDF wherein images "pop-up" when the cursor rolls over a trigger button. I've successfully employed the Buttons feature to create three such images on one page. However, on a subsequent page images will not appear upon trigger rollover. All three work perfectly on that first page, and I'm using the same procedure on all images/buttons. I checked to see if something was going on in the Tab Order, but each page has its own Tab Order, so I don't know about that. Working in CS6 for Mac.

In my InDesign file, I have been very meticulous to link each trigger button with the image button and to assign the appropriate actions to the trigger button. Based on what I have learned, when doing this with InDesign, you make both the trigger object--whether an image or, in my case, a box at 0% transparency that covers text--and the object to be shown/hidden into buttons. Maybe that's where I am getting this wrong? Still, that obviously works for some instances and not for others, so this is confounding.
I do see what you mean about manually adjusting the objects in Acrobat, and that's a trick for adjusting one or two things, but it's tedious to do that with many links in a document that I'm working on. Given the number of "pop-ups" that I want to create for my completed document, the solution has to take place in InDesign.
Additionally, I have tried just about every permutation of tab orders in the Object-->Interactive-->Set Tab Order feature in InDesign. All to no avail.

Images in button not shown properly

I have imported a quicktime file which was exported from FCP. The final cut portion is strictly jpeg files, no movies. I have made chapter markers in FCP. So in DVD Studio Pro, I created a button and chapter index, then selected a template. When I go to the menu(s) with chapters, the chapters are all correct. However, the photos in the button are not resized properly. Most of the heads are cut off. I have the button set with motion but turned it off and still photos not correct. How can I make DVD Studio Pro resize the photos properly? I right click the chapter button (it is not a drop zone), the option for align objects and distribute objects is not available. I am unable to click on it, thinking that is what I need to change. Any suggestions in how to get the photos to show completely in the button and not be cut off? I am very knew at this, only my second project, so please explain in detail.

I heard back from Nike+ support and they said that there will be newer pics soon and it also appears that this corrected itself for my runs, but not the user pic, I only get girly options, I wouldn't mind a picture of a guy on 'ROIDS!!! Just kidding, but something less feminine or cartoon like, I'm trying to be serious about this and the site should reflect that.

[SOLVED] docker will not pull images

I'm kinda noob with docker (and arch for the same matter), but the instructions on how to made docker work are pretty simple, I don't there's much to screw up. Here's what I'm getting when I try to pull an image (as root) :

Anyone knows wtf is going on? I am suspecting that what I do need is aufs. Running `cat /proc/filesystems | grep aufs` yields nothing. I don't see anything in oficial repositories either, there's aufs3 in AUR, but that requires custom built kernelm and I'm not sure that I want to go that far just to be able to run docker. It's my understanding that docker should run on almost anything, so what the heck.
Ideas?..
**UPDATE**: I just downgraded a kernel to linux-lts, and same issue

1. Is the docker daemon running? If so restart it and check journalctl for any errors. If not, start it and check for errors.
2. You don't need and aufs kernel. Docker uses devicemapper automatically when aufs isn't available.
3. Post your 'docker info' output.
4. If you still have troubles, stop the daemon, delete everything in /var/lib/docker (save anything you need to save!) and restart the daemon.

Scrollable frames. Buttons not working.

Hello.
I have a problem with buttons in the scrollable frames.
I have a slideshow with a thumb's. Each thumb consist of MSO (non active icon and active icon) and clear frame - button to that MSO and to slide foto. The thumb's grouped and placed into the frame with horizontal scroll overlay effect.
That frame placed into another frame-pull out tab, which have vertical scroll effect. And when I pressed the button, slide fotos changes correctly, but button MSO not working.

I understand that I can use two 'states' of the buttons. And I tried it. But. Buttons renditions are raster images. And on the retina display we had bad quality. My target was to create vector buttons. With good quality on both displays.
Any suggestions?

It seems that you built your stuff in a very complicated way.
First, try to make simple!
You mixed MSO and buttons functions. Useless and unfonctional.
Yous should use only button panel, with two different 'states' ('Normal' and 'Clic').

HTML Snippet customized paypal buttons not showing correctly when published

Hi, My customized paypal buttons that i but on my iweb site using html snippets are not displaying correctly. They work in Opera but not in firefox or safari. Please take a look and tell me what you think might be wrong. (all the links are working it's just not showing the graphics correctly (apart from in Opera)

Also I've just noticed that when i return to my iweb application (after closing in down) the Html snippets aren't there anymore just an outline, just like they appear in safari?

You inserted an image inside the ShopTable_Lampsfiles folder but it's is deleted every time you publish your page
1) Create an new folder named Paypal in your root folder:
FTP: With a FTP software (like Cyberduck) create a new folder in your server root folder
MobileMe: just make an new folder inside the Folder Sites (iDisk > Web > Sites)
Name this Folder "paypal"
2) insert your image "addtocartbutton.png" inside this paypal folder
Get the new URL of your image , something like
http://www.alisonbrent.com/paypal/addtocartbutton.png
3) Paste this URL in your codes, replace
src="http://www.alisonbrent.com/ShopTable_Lampsfiles/addtocartbutton.png"

Movie buttons not highlighted

I have created and burned an iDVD project comprising several movies, each of which is made up of several movie clips. The title menu has movie names, each of which leads to a submenu containing the clips. When I play the finished DVD on my iMac, I put the cursor over a movie name but there is no highlight. If I click, I go to the first movie. The only way I can select other movies is with menu item Go>Title. When I play it in my DVD player, a small, barely visible arrow appears next to the selected movie name. I want all buttons to be well highlighted when I choose them – is this possible?

OK, by pointing to themes, you have inadvertently solved my problem! It seems that the crux of the problem lies not in modifying themes but in saving a modified theme as a favourite - at least that's my current theory. I have now saved a couple of standard themes as favourites (to avoid searching for them) and I use only those. Any changes to appearance are done only by importing image, changing font sizes, etc. Everything now works perfectly - thanks.

HELP: "Fitting" toolbar buttons not showing up in CS5

Hi All,
I can't figure out how to get this to work. The toolbar buttons in CS5 are a bit different than those that show up when I am in CS4 and I am not familiar with the changes.
I like the "fit content to frame", "fit content proportionally", etc. as toolbar buttons. I know there are keyboard shortcuts for these, which would be faster to learn... but I just don't work that way... I'm a visual person, I need to see and click on the buttons. But my CS4 buttons are gone in CS5.
How do I get the fitting toolbar buttons back when I have selected an image that I want to modify?

NVM... I answered my own question. The toolbar buttons that I was looking at were really there, but I just couldn't see them because too much space on my toolbar was taken up by stuff I don't use frequently. Once I removed the extras that I didn't want, they appeared!

MSIGE60 not using dedicated graphics?

i everyone, I recently purchased a refurbished MSIGe60 laptop online equipped with a 2gb Nvidia Gtx660m and has the integrated intel HD 4000 as well. My laptop at the moment seems to be always using the Intel graphics, because I am getting terrible performance for games that this should be able to play as I've reserached on various videos on youtube. For example, I should be able to play skyrim with at least high graphics at 60fps , but whenever I load it up the game automatically has my settings to Low, and even if i change it to high the fps is unbearable. I have the latest drivers as far as im aware, and whenever I play a game it is always has the "run with NVIDIA high performance processor" as a default. Is there anything I can do about this? I have searched this topic many times and I know many people with the same model laptop have had this problem but I can't seem to solve what is wrong with it not using the graphics card even if it is set to it. Any tips would be much appreciated, thank you.

If I remember right, the power button still changes on the GE series. Watching a few videos, I did in fact see the power button switching colors when using different video cards. I believe ALL the gaming laptops use this feature, as an added indicator for which video card is in fact in use.

Images on buttons

Hi can anyone help me. I am currently using toggle buttons, but i use images as icons for these buttons. My problems is that the whole image does not seem to show on the button, only a part of the image shows. I am guessing it is because the image is bigger. But how can i scale it down so the whole image fits on the button. I have also noticed that some time the image icon covers the whole button and the button outline is not visible anymore, only the image. the code i use is below:

Can not pull down notification bar in PORTRAIT mode

I bought K900 from flipkart.com 2 months ago and everything was working ok. Now suddenly I have a problem with the notification bar; I can not pull down my notification bar. This problem started when I was using "GOOGLE+ app" and suddenly the notification bar automatically got pulled down; from that point I am unable to pull down my notification bar down. I have tried following ->
1) Disable google+ app, uninstall google+ uppdates
2) Restart phone normally and ALSO restarting the phone in safe mode.
3) clear cache using an app "App managet" and also clear ALL cache using the recovery (by pressing vol down and power button).
4) Factory reset
5) tried another lauchers : LauncherPro, Atom launcher
Has anyone faced this problem? There is an app on playstore "Drop down" which pulls down the notification bar. The touch sensors and also the display is working fine in the area of the notification bar (BUT I can not pull down by using fingers/swipe-down action). When the screen is in LANDSCAPE mode i.e. while playing a video using MXPlayer; the notification bar CAN BE PULLED DOWN, BUT CAN NOT in PORTRAIT mode.
I have also read on the internet that some people having samsung galaxy s3/s4 have also faced the same problem.
Can anybody suggest me to do something? Are my screen pixels/touch sensors dead on the top most row??
My K900 is stock(non-rooted) and has android 4.2.1; I have not updated my phone to the latest firmware.

So yesterday, I took my Samsung SyncMaster 204T monitor to the local Apple retailer to try it out on an actual system. I specifically tried it out on the 24" iMac with the nVidia 7300GT graphics card, since that is the system I was interested in.
It turned out that this monitor works beautifully in portrait mode with the above system using Tiger 10.4.8.
So, I went and bought it!!

I am not sure what's happening with IE9 (no live site) but I had real problems viewing your code in Live View - until I removed the HTML comment marked below. Basically your site was viewable in Design View but as soon a I hit Live view, it disappeared - much like IE9. See if removing the comment solves your issue.

I use gmail and some emails I get do not show the graphic or picture only a small graphic icon.

I use gmail for my email. Some of the emails I receive do not show the graphic or photo. I can see the graphic/photo in Internet Explorer and when I hit reply in Firefox. This started happening about 5 months ago. I used to be able to see the emails with no problem... I have checked all options and do have display images turned on. This happens with every email from a yahoo group and some other emails as well. I have the latest version of Firefox. I tried uninstallng and reinstalling firefox... no change.

Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > Content: Load Images: Exceptions - See [[Options window - Content panel]]
A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (''Site Identification'' icon) on the left side of the location bar and click the "More Information" button.
This will open the Security tab of the ''Page Info'' window (also accessible via Tools > Page Info).
Go to the ''Media'' tab of that Page Info window.
Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow.
If an image is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box ''Block Images from...'' then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
