Images become pixelated after Rendering

Hi,
I have a rather old version of Premiere Pro. (V 7.0) and I'm trying to put stills in my video but when I do and then render the video, all my images become pixelated. The images started out crisp and clear before rendering. I have been resizing/ repositioning the images but I tried without resizing and the images still become blurred and pixelated. I've tried exporting to see if it was just the viewer but video comes out pixelated as well. I've tried several things:
Images are PNGs. I've tried .Tiff and  .Jpg  and neither made a difference.
Images that are not resized pixelate as well.
Quality is set to Highest.
Zoom Level is 100%
Tried setting Pixel Aspect Ratio to Square pixels.
Below is an example of my problem. The images have yet to be resized and are still becoming pixelated.

I'm having same issue.   Premiere Pro has THE WORST customer support.  I waited on hold for over 1 hour and 18 minutes, and when I got connected 10 minutes 'til 9, they said I had called in too late, and that is why my call was transferred to a sales person.    I'm looking to ditch my PP CC and find something with better customer support...let me know if you find something as well.

  • When adding a tween, images become pixelated

I've used timline/animation in Photoshop for awhile, but just noticed, when I add tweens between two images, the original images become pixelated when I save as animated GIFs.
    Test #1
Photoshop file with two layers -- each with a photograph
Timeline: frame 1 has image from layer 1 and frame 2 has image from layer 2
Choose Save For Web and the images look pretty goodI realize that GIFs are only 256 colors
    Test #2
Create Photshop files as in Test #1
Add a tween with 1 frame
Choose Save For Web and the images look pretty good
    Test #3
Create Photshop files as in Test #1
Add a tween with more than one frame
    Choose Save For Web
    The images are now pixelated
    Trash...
All but one tween and an image is no longer pixelated, OR
All tweens and an image is no longer pixelated
In other words, Saving For Web is fine as long as I don't add any tweens. As soon as I do, the images become pixelated. Take out the tweens, the pixelation goes away. And, I have tried to make all kinds of adjustments to the GIFs.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks--Robert

    HI Jeffrey:
I can surely post some photos (screen shots from the Save As Web interface) of what I'm talking about and share the PSD file as well.
    • First image before Tween
If you carefully look at the light brown vertical paint just behind the girl's right shoulder -- no big pixelated dots. And the guy's sweatshirt looks fairly smooth in transitions from highlights to shadows.
    • Second image after adding Tweens
You'll now notice all the extra dots -- especially in the vertical brown paint job and other parts of the wall and his shirts.
And it gets worse with other images/animations I've recently created.
One thing I didn't mention is that I noticed this a few months back. This morning, I realized that's when I got rid of my old trusty 21" CRT monitor and got an LCD flat panel. I hooked up my old CRT and the dots are gone! But that doesn't resolve the issue of why when you add tweens, does it pixelate.
    Here's a link to the test.PSD file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/109581077/test.psd
Any help would sure be appreciated! And if you need me to create a video of the steps I'm doing, I can do that to.
    Thank you!

  • After iOS 5.1 update on iPhone 4, some of my pictures in the camera roll become pixelated after a crop edit?

I will elaborate.  Lets say I save an image from a website.  Then I go to the camera roll and edit crop it to make the image a tad bit smaller. Suddenly the images becomes pixelated and blocky.  When  I return to the image and tap the edit button, it becomes clear again and I can see the original picture.  When I tap cancel, it goes back to beign pixelated/blocky.  I tired restoring my phone to factory setting and losing all my data.  That didn't work.  As soon as I tested it, the same thing happened.  I tried some weird method from www.iphoneincanada.ca an that didn't work either.
    This is very annoying!

I have more info.  I am using a program to look at the files on my iPhone.  I did some testing and I came up with this.  When a photo is edited ( in my case cropping) an image is created in the Metadata folder.  The metadata folder is contained in a folder called PhotoData.  For some reason, the cropped JPG is put within this metadata folder.  The  DCIM folder contains the "actual image" you saved from the internet or wherever.  When a photo is edited in camer roll, a .XMP file is created for that image (Sometimes) and it's about 1kb.  Coincidentally, the image that is pixelated DOES NOT have an .XMP file associated with it in the DCIM folder.
To conclude, it seems that the pictures that have a .XMP file associated with it in the DCIM folder does not come out as pixelated.
If there is a .XMP file then the photo in the Metadata folder become pixelated.

  • Illustrator cc image looks pixelated after saving with transparent background

as the title states; image looks pixelated after saving with transparent background...
i created a logo in adobe illustrator cc and i wanted to saved it for web in order to be able to copy and paste the logo where ever I wanted but the image looks extremely pixelated after saving as an png, and for web. Is there a solution for this?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you!!

What DPI did you save as:
You should always save as 300dpi, then you can always reduce  the size as needed.
Another thing, don't copy and paste, that always causes that Problem.
In Acrobat you should open Tools Menu click on Content Editing  the Add Image.
Then click on image and choose Properties and place where you want and size as you desire.

  • Titles made in Premiere become fuzzy after rendering

Is there a setting or button to check in Premiere to prevent titles made in Premiere from loosing the clarity and shapeness they had to becoming fuzzy and out of focus after the video is rendered?

I'm a novice learning Premiere. I assumed the softwear would make the export setting the same as the settings used to make the video sequence. I checked the best quality boxes and in both the rendering and exporting windows, but  the text in the titles made with Premiere played back fuzzy.  However, all the images I used stayed sharp in playback after rendering and exporting, even text that was already in images I imported in to Premiere stayed sharp in playback after rendering and exporting. What are the best sequence and export settings to use to produce sharp clear titles made in Premiere?

  • Why do images become blurry after resizing in lightroom?

    Please help.
I do not know why the images are becoming blurry after resizing them in lightroom and exporting them?
    Any advice?
    Thanks.

What pixel dimensions are you resizing them down to and what quality setting and sharpening settings are you specifying in the Export panel?

  • Why is my image more pixelated after changing the DPI?

I am creating a magazine for a university project and I have chosen 2 images to be included in one of my articles. I changed the DPI of both images in PhotoShop to 300 DPI and saved them before placing them into my InDesign document but they appear to be even more pixelated after this than what they were when I placed them straight from the internet. Will they be like this when I print it or does it only look pixelated on my screen? Any help?

What is the effective resolution in InDesign? (look into the link panel.) (BTW resolution of an image is measured in PPI, not in DPI!)
Is the link up to date?
How do you proof it? Did you turn on the high quality display?
What file type are you using?
What is the scaling factor of the image in InDesign?
How did you change the resolution in Photoshop? What was the first resolution, did you change the size of the image?

  • Vector image becomes pixelated and distorts text

This is an issue that is driving me nuts!  I have a vector image created in Illustrator that I am placing in InDesign with an opacity setting.  When I print it to a PDF the text (and anything created in InDesign) that is over the image and the image itself become pixelated.  In InDesign in displays perfectly but something is happening in the conversion to PDF that is screwing up the file.  It displays and prints pixelated.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
    Thanks so much!

    Hey Nik-
I think I fixed it but fill me in.  The text is on a seperate layer above the image. I am printing to a PDF, is exporting better?  I just changed the transparency flattener to High resolution when i printed to a PDF it is now displaying and printing properly in Acrobat.
Is that the best way to do this to ensure when I take it to a printer it will come out clean?
    Thanks!

  • Still image becomes pixelated...

    Hello all.
I have a logo that I am animating, making it increase in size as the next scene of my project comes in (the logo is in transparent lettering on a black background)
as it increases, it becomes pixelated.... (obviously) Is there any way to avoid this pixelation from happening??

How big is the logo? How big are you scaling it? There isn't much you can do if you're scaling it up. Starting with a larger logo so you don't have to scale it beyond 100% would be better.

  • Everything pixelated after rendering + purple render line

    Hello,
Before I render, all my photos, video and Boris 3D slides look perfect. After I render, everything is pixelated in squares and there's a purple line at the top of my sequence. After I export the sequence as a Quicktime movie, everything is still pixelated in little squares. There are post-rendering screen shots below so you can see what I mean.
I've checked all my settings and everything appears to be correct. Here's what I've done so far:
    - All video footage shot on Canon 5D Mark II at 29.97 and converted to Apple XDCAM EX 1080p30 (35Mb/s VBR) clips
    - All photographs shot with same camera. Kept as JPGs.
    - Sequence settings are:
              Frame size - 1920 x 1080 HDTV1080i 16:9
              Pixel Aspect Ratio - Square
              Unchecked Anamorphic 16:9 box
              Field dominance - None
              Editing timebase - 29.97
              Compressor - XDCAM EX 1080p30 (35Mb/s VBR)
              Quality - 100%
              Audio rate - 48Khz
              Depth - 16 bit
              Config - Channel grouped
In this same project, I have a few sequences of video interviews synced with an external audio source, and those sequences look perfectly fine until I add Boris 3D text or regular text over them.
Does anyone know what's happening and how I can fix this? I've read other forum Q&As and can't find an answer.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello again.
I converted several clips to Pro Res 422 (LT) and changed all my FCP settings to match. I started a new project, opened a new sequence, and when I dragged a newly-converted clip onto the timeline, this message popped up:
For best performance your sequence and external video should be set to the format of the clip you are editing.
Whether I hit yes or no, the footage looks beautiful on the timeline. But as soon as I add text, in both situations (yes, change sequence settings; no, don't change sequence settings) the footage and the text are pixelated, per the images I posted above.
I'm no FCP newbie but now that I think about it, I get this message quite a bit when editing. So where am I going wrong? For this most recent batch of clips, I converted in MPEG streamclip with these settings:
              Apple Pro Res 422 (LT)
              100% Quality
              Sound: Uncompressed, stereo, auto
              Frame rate: Left blank
              Frame size 1920 x 1080 (unscaled)
Nothing checked under "Deselect for progressive movies:"
              Field dominance: Upper field first
              All other fields at presets
Now here are my FCP settings:
    Sequence settings:
              Frame size: 1920 x 1080 (HDTV 1080i 16:9)
              Pixel aspect ratio: Square
              Unchecked box for Anamorphic 16:9
              Field dominance: None
              Editing timebase: 29.97
Compressor: Apple Pro Res 422 (LT)
              Quality: 100%
              Audio: 48Khz, 16-bit, Channel grouped
    Easy Setup & Audio/Video Settings:
              Sequence preset - Apple Pro Res 422 (LT) 1920x1080 30p 48 Khz
              Capture preset - HDV
Where am I going wrong? I'm so confused.
    Thanks for your help.

  • NEF images become dull after import

After importing images from a Nikon Df using the NEF raw format, and upon viewing them for the first time in the LR library, they briefly appear as crisp as they were on the camera, but an instant later, they are resized by a small amount and appear a notch dull, i.e. of less contrast and saturation, than the original. I can reconstruct the original impression with some effort, but of course that's not the purpose of using LR. It appears as if LR automatically applies some import settings that are unknown to me. Is someone here wiser?

What you’re seeing is normal.  The brief initial view is the camera-embedded JPG preview that is done with Nikon rendering by the camera.  After that the default Adobe rendering is applied and it can look dull by comparison, depending on the lighting.
Adobe has no way of interpreting the camera settings because they are proprietary to Nikon.  The closest you can come, easily, is to use one of the Camera-XXXX profiles (i.e. Camera Standard, Camera Portrait) in the Camera Calibration section which Adobe makes to somewhat simulate the various picture modes on the camera, instead of using the default Adobe Standard
Some of the camera settings in your camera, like Auto-D-Lighting, correct for bad exposure.  LR does have an Auto tone button that might do something conceptually similar but will unlily yield the same result.  f you are going to be developing Nikon raw files in Adobe products, it’s best to turn those auto-fix settings like ADL off so avoid confusion.
You can set new customized defaults by pressing the Alt key in LR-Develop and clicking Set Default… and it’ll save whatever the current photo’s current settings are as the new defaults.
You can also apply a Develop Preset to each import batch on an ad hoc basis to make all photos of one export have different settings than the default.

  • Why is my text jagged/pixelated after rendering?

    Hi
I am new to motion and I went through a tutorial and I still can't solve this and I'm sure it's simple
I created some freehand text in motion, exported it and placed it in my FCP time line
When I play it in the FCP time line it's clean but when I render the line, it becomes jagged and pixelated. I thought rendering would not do that. It's clean in Motion when I create it and play it, it's clean on export in the viewer, it's clean when I drop it in the FCP time line, but as soon as I render the project the text becomes jagged
    Any help is much appreciated
    Thank you
    David

  • Images become corrupted after uploading

Hello i'm trying to make an upload bean that uploads files form client PCs to the server, i'm using jdk 1.4 and tomcat 4.0.
i made a modification to "Budi Kurniawan" code from "http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2001/04/05/upload.html"
and the package is working very well only with text files.
when i tried to upload images or exe . i found the files corrupted. i compaired the original files with the uploaded one and they was the same in size.
i think the problem is with the way i process the content type of the file.
please if u have any ideas to modify this code to enable it to upload images and exe please post ur reply.
the package name is "michael.web.upload" this package should be able to handle a form with mulitble input types and mulitble files to upload at one time
the package contain two classes "FileUpload" provides some info about the uploaded file and "MultiPartParser" the parser that do the upload

  • Linked images become embedded after re-opening file

    Hi,
I have linked images to my Illustrator CS3 file but when I close the application and file then re-open later, the tiff files show that they are now embedded. I have one eps file that stays as a linked file. All images are stored on a network server while my files reside on my hard drive.
Has anyone else encountered this type of problem with Illustrator? Any fix?
    Thanks for your help!
    Janet

It used to be that even when you embedded a link, saved, close, then reopened, even though the art was embedded, the name of the file would remain in the links palette -- which was very helpful in case you wanted to find that file again. In CS3 though, when you save, close, and reopen, the name of the embedded art is missing. Any way to keep that name in there EVEN THOUGH we intend to embed it???
