Hi Everyone,
This is my first time to the forum, Ive had a look here and around the internet but I havnt been able to find the solution.
Below is a link to an image showing what I mean.

The image on the left is the finished dvd playing back. The image in the middle is a video file that is compressed through compressor using the highest quality setting and finally on the right is the original image.
Ive tried setting up the pictures multiple ways. Originally I setup a slideshow, when I got the problem I tried converting the picture over to the correct aspect ratio in photoshop to no avail.
I then tried recreating the slideshow in FCP and exporting again through compressor and exporting a uncompressed file for dvd studio to convert. Neither of these solutions improved the quality at all.
Next I tried exporting the pictures through Adobe Premiere Pro cs4. This time I had more luck, there was almost no grain but it was incredibly soft and out of focus.
Now my thoughts at this stage are that the image just doesnt lend itself to compression at all with the dark areas. The image was originally compressed a bit and I got the original file from the slr camera. Its resolution is 2000x3000 at 3.5mg. No difference at all between the small and large file either.
Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated, im about ready to pull my hair out.

RGB is not a color space, it's a color model. Color spaces are sRGB, Adobe RGB, ProPhoto RGB etc.
Since you're apparently not familiar with these concepts, you should work consistently in sRGB, which displays roughly right in all scenarios even in the absence of color management.
The default color space out of Lightroom (if you haven't changed it) is ProPhoto, which can quickly get you into trouble unless you know what you're doing. Change it to sRGB in Lr Preferences > External editing.
Don't change Photoshop color settings! That will quickly get you into an even bigger mess than you are now. Reset it to default settings and don't touch them again until you know more. What you need to change is Lightroom "Edit in Photoshop" color space.

You might need to clean the headphone port (I was in the same situation and this worked for me). Dirt, dust, and debris accumulate in the port and eventually the computer registers the debris as headphones being plugged in. After cleaning the issue was resolved.

Is it OK, if we leave iPhone plugged-in even when it is fully charged? I have heard that, we need to discharge battery completely at least once a month to improve the battery life. Is that right?

Dear Farhad,
there is definitely two schools of thought about this, the conventional one is use phone until almost dead then full charge, however recent articles in macworld that frequent charges do no more harm to these batteries. i think the best advice is to use your phone and then charge it when it needs charging. Most phone batteries ae fairly tired after a couple of years anyway, regardless of how to charge.

I just upgrade from the 4 to 5s. Are my apps supposed to transfer over and perhaps it just takes time to load like my email and pitures. I tried to install apps and it showed that they are already downloaded. What do I do to get them to show up?

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your restored from a backup and the apps that are missing on the device show "Open" in the App Store, then they are located on other pages on your iPhone or are in folders. Also, with the iOS 7 update most developers have changed icon badging. This can cause some applications to be difficult to find.

Audio - toggle on/off multiple sounds even when they are not currently playing

I am wondering if there is a way to stop toggle all sounds even if they are not playing.
What I mean by that is I have several sound files that play one at a time when a slide comes in. I can toggle on/of the current sound but what if I want to toggle all sounds on/off in the compostion even if they are not playing so that when I go to next slide it will be on or off depending what was chosen on the previous slide?
One of the problem would be that I do not want all sounds to be turned back on at the same time but only the current one but I still want to be able to turn off all the sounds if the user decides he does not want to hear sound while at the same time I want the sounds to load automatically on each slide if he has decided to have sound.
Hope this makes sense.

Html5 audio can not be accessed by class, it can only be accessed by id.
so i made this code

this will find the id of the audios and pause them and reset the time to 0
( not really a way to officially stop audio )
or you van just mute it with this code

Images not displaying in a folder b/c they are already in the library?

This has been driving me nuts and I'm sure it's a simple answer. Perhaps I'm overly used to iView.
In LR I add a folder that contains images that don't show up because LR says they are already in the library. Well that may be true, but I still want to see them as part of the folder I just added. This doesn't seem possible. Any answers or suggestion of where to look or how i should adjust by workflow. I've been through the help pages.

I had created a folder in the Finder that I put copies of all my final selections in.
I imported that folder into the Library and got an error window showing multiple files and saying "The following photos will not be imported b/c they are already present in the library. to see these photos in the library select 'Show in Library'"
You can only choose one at a time, but when I do choose one and say "show in library" it doesn't show me it in the libarary. So I don't have an easy way of deleting them. I can delete the folder entirely and start again (will do that now) but what a pain as I'd already starred, color coded and so on. I should have resolved this first. Yes, auto updating would be nice. I originally thought the contextual menu with "check for missing photos" was that, but it's not.

Apps have install option even though they are already installed!

I'm talking about just the iLife Apps. I erased/installed OS X 10.8 on my mac mini and instead of using the app store to download the 3 iLife apps, I used my old iLife DVD so I can install iDVD (which I still use). Any tips on how to get rid of this annoying problem and have GarageBand, iMove and iPhoto show as update instead of install. It's like it doesn't see they are already installed!

You could try reindexing your HD. The MAS uses the Spotlight indexing in determining what apps need updating. Go to Systems Preferences / Spotlight/ Privacy; add your Hdd to the list then remove it from that list. Spotlight will then reindex your HD.

What will make it so you can't move objects by click and drag even though they are not locked?

I have been using the cc 2014 version for awhile now and this morning when I select an object with the selection tool, I can't freely move it by click and drag. The object will move with the arrow keys and can be aligned with the alignment tools.

Does it have a fill of None? Maybe you're trying to select the object on its "fill" but if there's no fill, it does not get selected.

For work I always paste 3 images of varying sizes onto the same page in photoshop. This wasn't an issue and always looked great when I did it in ps5, but since upgrading to ps6 they always paste flat, desaturated and underexposed. Put side-by-side with the original they look terrible.
This is something I desperately need to resolve as I show this small collection to my customers and potential customers.
I've changed my color settings in an attempt to sort this out, but this has made absolutely no difference.

Curious why iMessage only works between my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 about 30-40% of the time even when they are in the same room?

I have an iPhone 4 and iPad 2 that seem to only sync iMessage about 30-40 % of the time. Some times I'll come home from work and my conversations are there and then they stop when I'm in the same room. If I start on the pad it works about 70-80% of the time. It is quite annoying seeing I got this silly thing so when home I can leave the phone and work load on the pad. Can anyone help. I'm going to bring up to Apple when I get a chance to go to a store but for now I thought I'd try this. Just in case, my wifi connection in house is also an apple product so this makes even less sense.

If the Apple ID is waiting for verification and you haven't received the email with the verification link, you could try going to https://appleid.apple.com/, click on Manage My Account to the right, sign in, under your primary email address click on "verify now", which should resend the verification email. This is from Apple:

Office 365 ProPlus App-V 5.0 Package installs Lync, Outlook, Infopath and Onenote even though they are not selected for publishing

I have created an App-V 5.0 Package for Office 365 ProPlus using the documentation provided here:

I am able to load the App-V Package into my SCCM 2012 SP1 environment and deploy the package to a test machine
Within SCCM, I have configured the deployment type to only select a couple of applications. Notice that Lync, Outlook, Infopath and Onenote are not selected.

For my deployment type, I only selected Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Looking at my test machine, those 3 applications now show up in my start screen.

I don't see any of the other Office applications be default on my start screen, so I would think all looks good. If I type another Office application, lets say access at the start screen I get, "No apps match your search."

But if I type Lync, Outlook, Infopath or Onenote, it shows me that those applications are available, and I can launch them as an App-V application just as I could Excel, Word or Powerpoint, the applications that I wanted to have available.
This is not what I was expecting when I went through the trouble to create an App-V package. It looks like almost all of the apps become available on my client machine, all App-V is doing is making the application button in the start screen a little
harder to find.
What is interesting is that for the applications I did want published, I can search for them by just entering a few letters of the application name, and they show up with the 2013 version label, see below for an example search for Word.

For the applications that I did not publish but still show up on my client, I have to type in the full name of the application for the launch button to come up. For example, I can't type lyn and expect to see Lync, but if i type lync I will get an
option to launch the application. The same goes for Outlook, Infopath and Onenote, and when you do type in the full namke of the app, it doesn't show the version number like Word does as Word 2013, it just shows Lync, or Outlook, or Infopath, or
Onenote.

Can anyone from Microsoft confirm that this is expected behavior. If this is to be expected this is pretty disappointing, because a main point of the App-V package is it is the only way to limit which applications are deployed via Office 365 ProPlus
but from what I can tell, it really isn't limiting anything beyond the start screen for most cases.

So it looks like the config xml files are the best option
