Images Blurred in Photo Viewer

I recently had to reflash my HP Touchpad ROM using webOS Doctor because the images in Photo Viewer became blurred after a file transfer. Once I completed webOS Doctor and set up my Touchpad again, the image resolution was restored.
I went to transfer more image files on to the Touchpad from my PC again, and after Ejecting the Touchpad properly from USB Mode, the images are blurred again. I have had to use webOS Doctor 4-5 times now for the same issue, is there any other solution that can be applied to avoid the headache of having to use webOS Doctor every few weeks when I decide to upload more images to the Touchpad?
I considered connecting to the PC and removing the USB without Ejecting properly in order to force the system to re-index the existing files?
Can the Touchpad only upload a certain amount of data at a time? It seems that this error occurs whenever I add more than 4GB of data at a time, so what is the point of having 32GB of storage if the files become unviewable?
Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

  • IE6 stretching images in CSS photo viewer

I'm creating a simple photo viewer with CSS swapping out

In FF I got them to at least position left (centered would be

    Hello to all the community!
    I have a Lenovo yoga pro2.

When I open the same image with "windows photo viewer" for example on the 15-inch monitor the result is ok (Windows7)

whereas on the my Lenovo from the 13-inch monitor the visualization is very small. On my Lenovo the menu buttons of "windows photo viewer" are also very small from see (see rectangles highlighted in red)
I tried to change all the settings the user side at my disposal, but the problem persists.
Same thing on the graphics program PAINT.NET. All the menu bars, commands, icons, etc, are displayed very small.

This is unfortunately often an expected behavior for an High-DPI display like the Yoga 2 Pro has (using the same machine btw.). Because the Display on the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro has far more pixels on the same area, each pixel is a lot smaller as on other displays. So a control element with 200x200 Pixels looks a lot smaller than on another screen with a lower resolution. The apps have to take this in account, so that they render those elements with more pixels on a High-DPI screen like the one the Yoga 2 Pro uses. If so they are described as dpi-aware. I don't know if the Photo Viewer in Windows 8 is dpi-aware or not and I cannot test this as my machine is already running Windows 10. But as for paint.net I know this one is perfectly dpi-aware and should look just fine. I have it installed myself on this Yoga 2 Pro and it looks just fine to me. This scaling that dpi-aware Apps and windows elements do can be adjusted in the Control Panel. How you do that is described HERE with Option 1 and the steps 1-5 (skip the other steps and especially option 2). Just move the slider shown in step 5 to "larger". You have to log out and in or restart the machine to let the new setting take effect.

  • DPI and image quality in programs like Windows Photo Viewer

I'll keep this as short as possible.  About 6 years ago I bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-F28 digital camera (not DSLR).  It claims 10 MP.  After that my daughter bought a Canon Rebel (don;t know the model) which has 12 MP.  I would compare her pics with mine by looking at them in Windows Photo Viewer.  Hers always looked a lot fuzzier than mine.  Especially true if you zoomed in.   And I gave her a hard time, saying she had bought a knock off.
I just purcahsed a Rebel T5i with the usual kit  18/55 lens.  I took a picture with both the new and the old camera.  Guess what?  Given the same subject with the same lighting, the Panasonic still produces much clearer pictures in Windows Photo Viewer than the Canon.  The only difference I see is that the Canon states the DPI as 72 and the Panasonic as 180.  OF course, the Canon image has a lot more pixels.
I know that DPI matters only when a picture is printed.  But is it possible that the DPI property in the image file is telling Windows Photo Viewer how to present the image?  I hope so.  Otherwise I lucked out with my Panasonic and got the best camera in the world, or a Canon is not so great after all.
Do I need to apologize to my daughter? See attached images.
These images are opened in MS Paint and cropped to bring out the eye and hair detail.
    Panasonic Image
    Canon Image

You comparison method is seriously flawed. For 1 image to be at 72 DPI (a software supplied setting) & the other to be at 180 DPI it means that one image has been enlarged (180 divided by 72) 2.5 times more than the other to view it on screen. Zoom in on the good image until it's 2.5 times larger & see how it looks.
Next thing you need to know is that camera technique becomes more important as pixel count increases. an 18 Mpixel image will have an 80% increase in softness over the 10 Mpixel camera from identical camera shake. To make any accurate form of comparison you will need to eleminate the possibility of introducing camera shake into the test. You will also need very similar lighting & the subject must also be stationary for all test shots. (IE that eye (or the person it's attached to) may have moved during one shot but not the othern

  • N97 Blurry/8Bit images in photo viewer

Todays N97 problem seems to be in my photo gallery. Large images either captured from the camera or transfered to the phone were crystal clear quality previously, now i am seeing a blurred and unfocused image in the photo browser,  which ive seen before as it quickly moves on to the next image but usually has auto-focus to make the image clear. The only way i can now focus the image manually is to zoom in once on any of the pictures, which makes this a very tiresome task, otherwise all the images look horrible. Ive searched around the phone for a setting to fix this but cant find anything. I installed the nokia photo browser previous to this and uninstalled it, could this have changed the settings in the default browser im having the issue with? Thanks

I was about to agree that resetting and formatting my phone was a waste of time. I have spent some of the day backing up my phone and then formatting the mass drive which im still unsure about, i have also uninstalled all apps i have downloaded since i got the phone so i hope i havent lost any of them. I have a second N97 that is still on V10 with factory settings, it hasnt been used and is to be sent back as a return. I checked the picture feature on this phone and it does exactly the same as it does on the V11 phone. So i would say its unlikely it had anything to do with a firmware update. I dont remember having this problem previously up untill i installed the Nokia Photo Browser all the same, but perhaps its been with something else, but i do remember it did auto focus when i first got the phone for at least a month. So i am totally stumped now as to what the problem is if the V10 factory settings phone is having the same problem. Perhaps ive totally overlooked something, is it depending on the image sizes? I have various sizes of pictures in the phone as well as ones taken with the camera and also i have basic N97 wallpaper size images, but im afraid it does this with all images not just large ones that would need to be zoomed in once for it to auto fit the screen.

  • Why am I getting sharper printouts from Windows Photo Viewer than PSE 7? This was not always the case. has something in my settings changed? I have tried all obvious solutions but no change. How can i get the best image print outs from PSE?

I prefer to print from PSE as this allows me to set  picture dimensions. Windows photo viewer does not give this flexibility. I am using the same PC, the same printer and the same print file, yet the outcome from each software option is significantly different. WPV is sharp and bright whereas PSE is softer. Can any one help me?

  • Photo viewer not displaying photos properly

when i go to photos viewer n open any pic,d pic open wit a blur image n a ring on top of it keeps rotating keepin d pic in blur state. When zoom the pic shows properly but d ring still keep rotating. However not able to view d pics in small size. Its just keep it blur state.

Haven't figured it out yet, but will post if I find a solution.
The problem is, I'm trying to find a solution to a whole host of other problems on my N97, e.g. The problems I'm having with GPS (Maps 2 and 3 are both currently unusable), the problems I'm having getting my widgets, email etc to detect which connection I need using etc, the problems I'm having with reception, the problems I'm having with my ringtone etc. So this photo viewer problem is just another issue to add to the list.
As for the Facebook App, if I take a picture using the camera link within the application, it won't let me upload anyway, so I've stopped using it. I just use the standard Facebook Mobile site as the Nokia Facebook App is so slow, it's borders on useless.

I'm on a Macbook Pro and all of my software is up-to-date.
The photos and events, etc. appear to be present in my photo library, but I cannot see the actual images--only an outlined placeholder.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to rebuild the thumbnails. This can take 3 or 4 goes to work.

  • Photo viewer issue in N8

  • Adjusting color in part of an image in a photo.

Hi, just bought Photoshop CC and am stuck.  I just received a photo of my uncle that was taken through the glass of the frame it was in.  The right side of his face is lighter than the rest of his face.  How do I adjust this color? You can also see some lightening of the lower right portion of his hat. Other issues have been corrected.  Portion of photo attached.  Thanks.

Thank you so much.  I will give it a shot. Your help is greatly appreciated.  Will let you know how it works.

  • Photo Viewer for Mac

Is there an equivalent of Windows photo viewer for the mac?  I don't want to edit images in it, I just want to view in full screen and to go forward and back thought the images, with simple options to 'view at 100%' 'flip left/right', 'enlarge' etc. This is not big difficult stuff right?
I've played with iphoto and dislike it enough to delete it, you can download free apps better than iphoto. I've tried both preview and quick look but don't like them at all.  If I select an image it always opens in 'preview' but the 'previous/next icons are always blacked out? Why?
If I use 'quick look' I can move forward/back using the keyboard but it never opens full screen, it always opens to the 'fit screen size' and then really irritatingly jumps about in size all over the place depending on the next image size.  It's ok if I drag it to full screen, after which it acts pretty much like windows viewer except there are no options to open an image in an editing app, view at 100%, enlarge, flip left/right etc.
In short it's a poor viewer, I guess that's why it's called quick view uh?  Is there some amazing mac facility that I'm missing here. I could just about live with 'quick look' if it always opened full screen but can't see any way to do this.

Preview IS the Apple version of Windows Viewer and its more powerful opening PDF, editing , JPEG, TIFF and other formats.it will even do audio !
Oh and clearly you don't get iPhoto it is a viewer light editor and photo image database. Again far more powerful than Windows Viewer.
Infact its data storage is based on industry standard Aperture.
Quick view is effectively a built in PDF/inline viewer tool within the finder than allows just about any document to be viewed irrespective of format.Probably nearest to what Windows Viewer actually does
It has no editing tools and that not its function.
To open it full screen you hold the ALT key whilst clicking the document in finder
You DO have the opton to open in a specific app at the top of a Quickview window by default it usually says Open Preview however just right click and a list of all potential applications are then listed. You then choose the one you want.
When you select an image from the finder to open in Preview that's exactly what it does- Opens that specific image. IT does NOT load the entire folder because its a separate application - NOT part of finder !
Again you need to work through iPhoto its really has more going for it than you think and no there really aren't better FREE apps out there.
Oh and why the need for full screen viewing - THAT really is a windows hang out. MAC OS is designed such that windows open to the maximum size to display content rather than a locked full screen model by default.
That said if you look in to top right of the window bars click those two divergent arrows you go full screen.
Sorry to say you really have to change your work flow else you may just have to go back to Windows .
As for alternative image viewer depends how much you want to spend and from the sounds of it nothing !
    Options
    Adobe Lightroom
    Adobe Photoshop Elements
    Adobe Photoshop (Full)
    Pixelmater
Install the X11 OS UNIX environment and run GIMP
    Try out Graphic Converter.
    Anything else ?

  • Issue with Windows Photo Viewer: "can't save picture because an unknown error occured"

    Hi,
I recently installed Windows 7 RC (Build 7100). I quite often have an issue in Windows Photo Viewer when rotating an image and trying to go to the next picture. It gives me the error "Windows Photo Viewer can't save picture because an unknown error occured".
Seperate from this issue: when I delete a picture in Windows Photo Viewer, it is still in the Windows Explorer overview of files. This did not use to be the case in Windows XP?
    Kind regards,
    Frederik

    Hi
    SOSv2 ,
This should be fixed in Windows 7 RTM.
Also, you can install Windows Live Photo Gallery to view and rotate pictures as well. To download it, please click
HERE . For more information about Windows Live Photo Gallery, you can
    a question on
    Windows Live Answers
In addition, please understand that Nikon RAW images (and most Canon) do not support rotate functionality in Windows Photo Viewer, and thus rotate is
disabled. To rotate those types of images, the user will need to use an image editing program that fully supports their RAW codec.
    Regards,
    Linda
I am using Win 7 x64 Ultimate RTM and still have this problem (with JPG's dumped from my Nikon to the hard drive).  Doesn't do it on every one that I rotate, but still very annoying.  Is there a fix?
