Images do not match between iMac and iPad

I guys, when I synch my iPad with iMac via iTunes, the folders with images that I´ve created on iMac do not match with images on the iPad. On the iMac I´ve a folder called Tattoo and inside several subfolders. On the iPad I just have the Tattoo folder with all the images inside but without subfolders. This makes hard to find an image among over 700 of them.
Any suggestion?
Tanks a lot!

You can only have one level of album within the Photos app - if you want to have separate albums on the iPad then the folders that you sync to the iPad must be directly off the same parent folder on your computer e.g. so if you select the 'Tattoo' folder at the top of the Photos tab under 'sync photos from' on your computer's iTunes each folder that is directly off it should get its own album on the iPad, but any sub-folders within those folders won't get their own albums.

  • I have a Domain name with email forwarding to my Service Provider which worked very well when I had a PC. Now I have iMac and have changed to IMAP from POP3 so I can sync. between iMac and iPad but how?

I have a Domain name with email forwarding to my Service Provider which worked very well when I had a PC. Now that I have iMac I have changed the account type to IMAP from POP3 so I can sync. between iMac and iPad but how?
I do receive emails into my iMac for which I have 3 email accounts but am struggling on how synchronise between iMac and iPad so that both are up to date at all times.  I have also set up a iCloud email account thinking this was the way to go but have drawn a blank.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Linc Davis,
I have set up my email address both within my iMac and my ISP as IMAP accounts and I receive all emails without problem on my iMac. I have also set up an iCloud email address using my iMac.
I have enabled the email within "setting" on my iPad and have used the iCloud account.  I have sent emails from the iMac to iPad using the iCloud account address and vice versa.  I have also sent emails from the iPad to the iMac using my non-iCloud email address and they have gotten through.
The one thing I would like to have is for the iPad "mail" mailboxes to mimic the iMac "mail" mailboxes and both to be "in sync".  I am not really interested in using the iCloud email address for my email but would really like to use my "normal" addresses as these are what most people know me by.
Do I need to set additional accounts within the iPad which are the same as the email accounts I have within the iMac and my ISP?  I have reached the end of my knowledge as regards email synchronsing.
    Thanks

    Hi lolokkio,
Your question is a bit vague, but this article will help you get started with AirDrop. Be sure that your devices meet minimum requirements and are set up correctly -

  • Bluetooth between iMac and iPad

Both iMac and iPad are searching but not finding each other
Could it be that the Software version matters
    iPad      5.1
    iMac      OSX 10.5.8

What are trying to achieve via Bluetooth between the two ? Bluetooth on the iPad is mainly for headphones and keyboards, not, for example, transferring content - supported profiles : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647

  • Share iMovie project between iMac and iPad?

Is it possible to share and continue a iMovie project between a iMac and iPad?
Or the share is only possible between iOS devices?

In general the simplest way would be to store the document in iCloud, and use iCloud to access the document from both your iMac and iPad.
But your post above says you're running Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.4).  Snow Leopard is now two years old.  I'm not sure it supports iCloud.

  • HT1631 How  can I share and sync passwords between  iMac and iPad

I'm in password ****!!!!  My memory is not what I once was and managing passwords on my iMac and iPad is making me crazy.  The iMac is the home planet at work for the iPad and it use it all day... the iPad is my device of choice when at home.
The value of a strong password cannot be understated in these times!!!!
Is there an easy way to sync passwords between the two.  I find I spend way to much time  resetting passwords because I simply cannot remember them.
Again... and again... and again... is the story of my life.
    Help

    The following may help:
If you are using Safari on both devices and you have iOS 7.0.3 or later on the iPad and OS X Mavericks 10.9 or later on the Mac, iCloud Keychain may be what you want: iCloud: Frequently asked questions about iCloud Keychain
There are other options available with 3rd party software. Two popular ones are https://lastpass.com and https://agilebits.com/onepassword

  • How to edit/share documents between iMac and iPad

I would like to edit documents on my iPad and have those changes appear on my iMac and vice versa.
I was hoping to use Office2 HD and Dropbox, but it seems that documents can't be saved back to Dropbox on the iPad. Everytime I try and save in Office2 HD I get a "this folder is read-ony" error.
Is this a problem with Dropbox or is it a problem with Office2 HD?
What work flow would people recommend? I was hoping to not have to buy the whole iWorks for both my iMac and iPad. I don't do that much of this kind of stuff and was hoping for a cheaper solution.

    Thanks Angelus angel.
I think I worked out my problem. Because of the way the iPad deals with security you can't open a document directly from the Dropbox app into another app and then save it back.
Instead I had to setup my Dropbox details in Office2 itself. Now it works great!

  • Is there an issue opening Pages documents between iMac and iPad"

got the most recent version of operating systems and pages on both iMac and iPad; thought I should be able to open Pages document on both computer and device.  am I wrong?

Make sure you are trying to open these documents in Pages 5. If you're using a Dock icon you had before updating, be aware that the Dock icons are not updated & will continue to launch the previous version which is still in your Applications folder in a folder named iWork 09.

  • Wrong handling between iMac and iPad

I have got a problem of tranmission between my iMac (v. 10.9.5) and my iPad, first generation 5.1.1. which never occured before.
I must have done a wrong handling for I have 23 music albums on my iPad and 8  on my iMac. Means that I have « lost » them. I would like to put them back from iPad to iMac : is there a way ? I use iTunes 12.01.26.
Thanks for the help you can give me.

If they are iTunes purchased albums then File > Devices > Transfer Purchases in iTunes should copy them back - or you might be able to redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage (or tick the 'shows iTunes in the cloud purchases' tickbox on the Store tab in iTunes > Preferences and they might show in the Music part of your library with a cloud icon against them for redownloading).
If they were not bought from iTunes, and you don't have them on your backup of your library, then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • Notes program on iMac and iPad thats syncs and saves locally?

    Hi all,
I have just started using my iPad and of course I like it a lot
But- where can I find a good program for making notes that I can use both on my iMac and my iPad that saves the notes locally and syncs between the Mac and the iPad? I use MobileMe so that´s an option if the app can use it.
I have tried Evernote, but as far as I understand I can´t reach my notes being off-line on the iPad. My iMac is always on-line, though.
    Any suggestions, anyone?
    /Kjell

First, check out EverNote again - you can create note sets and designate one set to be stored on the device rather than just available via the Internet. This might be your solution. Once EverNote become available for the iPad I stopped looking at note programs but there's one called SimpleNote - it doesn't sync to a local computer but it does sync to an Internet account which you can access via web on your computer and sync the edits back to your iPad.

  • Is it possible to sync mailboxes between iMac and iPad

I am trying to sync up my mailboxes between my iMac and my iPad.  Using Apple Mail App on both devices.  Using non-mac email on App.  The only place I have previous messages stored is on my iMac. Is there a way to sync them up?

The folders that you set up in Apple Mail on the Mac are for local storage only and will not sync to the iPad.
If you had an IMAP email account, any folders that you had in the account on the server would have already synced to the iPad when you created the email account in the mail app.

  • Documents not syncing between iPhone and iPad

I am encountering the most strange difficulty with iCloud, particularly Documents in the Cloud and the syncing of Numbers and Pages documents between iPad and iPhone. I do not use Keynote.
I will try and describe the problem in as much detail as possible and explain everything I have tried to do.
My goal is for documents I create on iPad to sync to iPhone, and vice versa, with changes appearing on both, and on iCloud.com. To clarify I'm not involving the Mac in anyway, I am aware this is a current limitation of Documents in the Cloud. Unless I'm missing something, what I want to do is what is advertised.
    - I am running the latest version of iOS on both iPad and iPhone.
    - I have the latest versions of Keynote and Pages on both.
    - I am logged in to iCloud on both iPad and iPhone with the same account
    - iCloud is working fine for all other purposes (Bookmark sync, PhotoStream etc)
    - Documents and Data is switched on, as is the option for Using Cellular Data
    - Use iCloud is set to ON under Pages and Keynote preferences
    - The arrow indicating a cloud document is on every document on both iPad and iPhone's icon, in the top right of each icon
    - In iCloud -> Storage & Backup -> Manage Storage -> Documents & Data -> Numbers it displays all the expected documents.
The current behaviour appears to be that I create a document on either device, and the document is PARTIALLY uploaded to iCloud. That is, it appears on iCloud.com under iWork, but when I click on any file it either says "Upload failed" or "Waiting" for each file.
If I try and delete a document on iWork.com, it crashes the web app and does not delete the documents.
Things I have tried to resolve:
    - Uninstalling and reinstalling Numbers and Pages on both devices
    - Soft resetting both devices
    - Disabling and re enabling Documents in the Cloud on both devices
    - Disabling and re enabling iCloud toggle in the individual app preferences on both devices
    - Deleting and readding iCloud account on both devices
    - A full restore then restoring from iCloud backup on both devices (yes, I actually did that)
    - A combination of the above in various sequence orders, none of which made any difference
More information... one solution on the web pointed to the problem involving a duplicate account which could be deleted from the Mail settings, however I only have one configured account - my iCloud account. Just in case it matters, my iCloud email is an @mac.com address.
I think I have covered everything. Any help would be appreciated since Apple themselves seemed pretty stumped on the phone, suggesting another restore, or setting the phone and iPad up as brand new devices. I'd really rather not until I've exhausted every possible outcome.
    Any help massively appreciated!!!

How did you get this fixed? I have the same issue!!

  • How do you make the actually open safari iCloud tabs sync between iMac and iPad?

I'm trying to have it so the web browser tabs I actually have open and viewing at any time, are synced between my iMac and my iPad.
This doesn't appear to work via iCloud Safari tabs, you just get the tabs open on your iMac as a list you can access on the iPad if you go digging through options.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
