Images don't display in custom stationary

I'm trying to create a custom stationary template in Mail, but the images do not appear, only a missing picture icon.

this is a known bug in stationery. see this post for a possible workaround.

  • Crazy problem - PDF shows image in my AA8, image does not display in customer's AA8

    Hi all
As title really. First thing I thought was of course was Overprint Preview but I've turned that on and off with no joy. The image is a cover with a panel containing several images - on the customer's screen the bottom right image is there, on our screen it is not. We have printed thousands of these without the image.
I have never seen a problem like this before. If you break the PDF apart with the Pitstop tools there is no image there, yet when the customer views the same file he says an image displays. The file contains no layers. The original PDF was printed as a postscript then distilled.
    Anyone else seen this problem?
    thanks,
    Iain

Hi. Apologies to LoriAUC and Bill@VT for my delay in replying - I've been off sick. Thanks for your replies.
My description wasn't quite right - the image is missing in my AA8 but the customer swears it is there in his AA8. Viewing the same file!
Bill@VT - It's definitely not due to View Large Images being off. That leaves a grey box but this is a white box (also, the setting is ticked on in my Acrobat).
LoriAUC - I hadn't thought of that. Selecting the images mentioned in the Content panel selects them on the page - I go through all the images and they all appear, there's no image entry in the Content panel for the mysteriously missing image. Which confirms my first finding - that there is just no image there.
I can't explain why the customer says it is displaying in their Acrobat. I talked through it with them on the phone to try and make sure there was no confusion about what we were talking about and as far as I can tell they're looking at the same file as I am but just not seeing the same thing! Any more suggestions gratefully received.

  • 3.1 Bug? - Images don't display properly after upgrade to 3.1 from 3.0

When pages are displayed after the upgrade, the image appears the first time the page is opened. Once a user goes to another page, then come back to the page with the image, the image is no longer displayed.
This happens when the browser is set to "Check for newer versions of stored pages". When it checks for the new version, the image is not displayed.
This looks like a Bug? Is someone working on a fix for this?
    Thanks.
    - Scott

    Scott,
Thanks for this information. It is very helpful. May I put you through one last contortion, please?
I would like to see what information is being passed in the HTTP header in the request for one of these broken images. If you have Live HTTP Headers or Firebug for Firefox, or Fiddler for IE, this should hopefully be easy. You don't seem technically challenged in the least, but just for the record, here's what I did using Firefox:
    1) Ran the Timesheets application
    2) For the very first icon on the left "My Timesheets", I right-clicked my mouse and chose "Copy Image Location"
    3) I opened up a new tab in Firefox and pasted the URL and then hit enter to retrieve the image
    4) I turned on Live HTTP headers and then clicked Refresh in my browser.
I am most interested in the If-Modified-Since HTTP header. The full request on my system was:
    GET /pls/apx11c/wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file?p_security_group_id=191046216955701077&p_fname=eba_timesheets.png HTTP/1.1

  • Images don't display in PDF read in iBooks

I subscribe to a scholarly journal that is distributed in PDF format.  Lots of photographs, illustrations, diagrams.
If I open them on my desktop everything displays fine.
If I open them on my iPad, using iBooks (my preferred reader for this purpose) or iAnnotate or Docs to Go, the document opens fine.  The pagination and formating is fine.  But there are NO images (including ads).  I just have text and white space anywhere an image would be.  Any ideas?

Sorry, no go.  I get the same results with GoodReader as in iBooks, Docs to Go and iAnnotate: perfect pages minus all photos and graphics.  (And I have confirmed that photos and graphics appear properly in PDF on the desktop.)

  • CS5 Design View: local page + images on server - images don't display

I've recently upgraded to DW CS5. I sometimes have occasion to design pages containing images that are on the server.
In DW8, images on the server would display in Design View.
In DW CS5, images on the server display a broken image icon in Design View.
Yes, I know I can switch to Live View, but I'd rather not, as I find Live View very difficult to edit in (if at all; I can somewhat edit in the code, but what's the point?). I'd far rather be able to see the images as I'm writing the page in Design View.
Am I missing some setting somewhere, or is this the way it is?

    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}

I found it under View > Display External Files.
Thanks so much for this. Really appreciated.
Used to be under the Commands menu long ago. Obviously relocated to the View menu.
That means that Adobe's own online Help docs for CS5 are incorrect.

Note: When inserting images it’s also possible to use an absolute path to an image that resides on a remote server (i.e., an image that is not available on the local hard drive). If you experience performance problems while working, however, you might want to disable viewing the image in Design view by deselecting Commands > Display External Files.

  • Imbeded jpeg and jpg images don't display in email. It works when I use the Chrome browser. I'm running att.yahoo. mail. I have reset firefox, also reinstalled.

I tried recommendations that I understood in this forum to no avail. I tried resetting Firefox. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled. It still doesn't work. It used to work all the time. Now it works once in a great while. Instead of showing as an image in the email it shows as an attachment at the top of the email with the option of slideshow. If you click on the picture it sometimes will appear, more often than not it will not. It works every time when using the Chrome browser.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the hidden "Menu Bar" temporarily.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images
*Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
*If an image in the list is grayed and "<i>Block Images from...</i>" has a check-mark then remove this check-mark to unblock images from this domain.
Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the permissions.default.image pref on the <b>about:config</b> page should be 1.
Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
Note that these settings affect background images.

  • Thumbnails of images don't display in Blog Summary

I'd be grateful if someone could help me with this problem. I am new to working with iWeb and have a site hosted on MobileMe. The address is: thismomentexactly.com. On the Blog Summary page, the images do not appear despite the fact that I have ticked "show images" in the Blog Summary dialog. Thanks in advance for any help you can give....

    Merci!
Yes, that does sound like it was the source of my problem. I had assumed having an image on top of the placeholder would increase page loading times. I'll change my routine now. Thank you so much and my apologies for not looking around further before posting the question!

  • Some RAW images don't display

i have a folder with about 300 RAW photos from my new Canon 50D. In bridge some of them show up but many, seemingly randomly selected show as the generic CR2 icon. I've got the beta of Adobe RAW and i can open the files in photoshop. Any suggestions? Thanks

Update to the final version of ACR 4.6, released today.

Then Purge the Cache for each darn folder, one by one, through the Tools menu in Bridge: Tools > Cache > Purge cache for 'foldername'.
Don't use the global purge cache command in Bridge preferences. It's broken.

  • Some images don't load in Firefox 5.0, but show fine in IE, Chrome, Safari, & Firefox 3.6.

Some simple GIF images don't display or sometimes only partially display in Firefox 5.0 running Windows 7, on my web site: <br>
    http://www.tulane.edu/~sanelson/eens1110/igneous.htm
    <br><br>
The images are some of those on the right and side below "Origin of Magma". The images do show up in Firefox 3.6, IE9, Chrome, and the iOS version of Safari. What could be causing this?

*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

  • In Firefox 15.0.1, jpegs don't display in body of email, even in older saved emails that were originally o.k. Photos display fine in Explorer.

jpeg photos sent to me in emails don't display -- just get a torn page type box. Prior emails saved in folders are also affected. If I forward the email to an email account in Explorer they work fine.

Thanks, but I had already tried these Firefox suggestions. I don't think it is a Firefox problem after all, since even when I load my Yahoo email account in Explorer the images don't display. Interestingly enough, when I forward them to my husband's Yahoo account, or my Google account, the jpegs display fine. This appears to be a somewhat new problem, and only in MY Yahoo email account. I have not knowingly made any changes to it in the last few weeks. I've tried to find suggestions in Yahoo's site and in my service provider's site (AT&T). No luck.

  • Bug: Custom AIR Application icons on Mac OS X don't display after install

There are circumstances where custom AIR application icons don't display in certain Finder views after installation.
This is apparent when viewing the application in a docked folder popup. The icon renders as a blank with a sort of no entry slash across it. Another example where this occurs is in a Downloads folder in the Dock (if you immediately create an alias to the app in the your Downloads folder, and your Downloads folder is in the Dock).
In addition, the maximum icon size of 128x128 really not that large. I wish AIR applications could have larger icons, like real applications.

I've seen this occur with numerous applications (native OS X and AIR) and typically restarting the dock (rebooting or logout/login) fixes it for me.  Doing a quick search on Google show's that it's a pretty common occurrence.  Are you still seeing this occur after rebooting?
As for the large icon support, I would like to encourage you to vote for the following two feature requests!

  • Image display (Image don't appear the first time?)

    Applet at: http://saladinsite.tripod.com/Project/MiniProject.htm
    Code at and Bottom: http://saladinsite.tripod.com/Project/MiniProject.java
    Hi,
I just created my very first applet. It's a simple quiz. I'll agree it's very unefficient.. but heh.. good for first try.
There is a lil problem I am having. Sometimes when I load the applet, the background image don't show up. Sometimes, the happy/cry images (corresponding to right/wrong answer) don't show up (check the applet to see what I am talkin about) It only happens once tho. It's strange. Take a look at the applet, you will see. Btw: It's not the downloadin of image that cuzes the bug. Same problem happens in appletviewer. If it doesn't appear the first time, the next time you go back to it, it will appear.
My teacher has also struggled with this problem but failed. Hope you guys can help me out.
    Thanks,
    Gant

Its not easy to follow your code without the [ code] +[ /code] tags and your link may as well not be there, the code one. I would resolve this by reducing the overhead ie: stripping down the code as much as I could and then adding them back one by one. DIVIDE and CONQUER!!!
    1. Take out the audio data (I suspect this may be the key problem)
    2. Take out the Thread 'main' and have an actionListener attached to your answer field to handle the changes
    3. Take out java.net and your URLs
    4. use a MediaTracker and WaitForAll()
    5. Strip it down further - AS MUCH AS YOU CAN (you can easily reassemble it quickly again) and then look at the program flow
    6. Add more boolean logic to give you control over all your elements ie
    if(myAnswer==answer) smiley=true;
    else smiley = false;
// or whatever, as I said I could only scan through your code as it is difficult to read in its present format.
Finally: this is good work I like the smileys and the instant %'s, the general layout, good /intelligent use of random() to generate different Q's each time. It's a good application, just remember that applets can be unreliable and I think your basic problem is that you have too much data here.
Strip it right down, focus on your logical flow and then put back the elements one-by-one

  • How can we change the  color of the image for product display for different

    Hi All,
How can we change the  color of the image for product display for different colors, to be displayed on site.
    jeff

    Hi priya,
The requirement that you have stated is not a standard feature in ISA CRM. In order to do the same, you will need to modify the standard ISA code in Java. A common path for the solution would be as follows:
    1. Colours
        a. Maintain a text type for Color under the object - PCAT_ITM in Customizing.
        b. Modify the standard search of ISA to search within your new text type as well. (In standard it only searches in Description.
       c. Maintain all shirts colour data in the new type created in step a.
       d. Your requirement will be done!
    2. Price
      a. Use list prices for your shop and assign the appropriate condition type, acces in your catalog.
      b. Modify the standard search of ISA to search on the list prices as well.
      c. This too will be done!
    3. Accessories - This is very tricky, and will require some exploration. However, here's my opinion,
    a. Search for the standard function module, which will return the accessories when provided the product as an input.
    b. Modify this function module according to your requirement and ensure that it can be accessed remotely.
    c. Modify the JSP as in steps 1b and 2b above to call this new remote-enabled function module.
    d. Now you're done!!
The ISA modification part is not so simple, you need a really good guy like "Sateesh Chandra" who'll be able to handle your requirements. This is all I could manage, hope it is some help to you!
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nelson.

  • How to add attachments to Custom Stationary, having problems.

I created some custom stationary by saving a page created in iWeb ,published, then choose the option -- save as stationary. All is well, I can select my custom staionary and enter text and send a message fine, but.... when I try to add an attachment none of my text stays and some of my stationary just disappears (images et al) my attachment is there and can be mailed ok.
I just cut and paste html and don't really understand coding but i think it may be the way my page is saved. Or... can attachments not be sent in stationary without messing up the file?
    Pointers or help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello Ravi,
Please take a look at: Add attachments to the Interactive form of a Web dynpro application
Please take a look at my reply there on Mar. 29, 2007. I am not sure but i assume that you are using Web Dynpro for Java. Attachment capability is available with NW04s SP10 (both runtime and NWDS). Although, SP09 contains the required web dynpro runtime changes but the API has only been made part of SP10. Follow the note numbers provided therein.
    Best Regards,
    Krish
