Images from Email

Hello, is there anyway to assign a image from the
email to a contact, or a wallpaper ?
YES! But it takes several steps.
After you receive the email, forward it to your home computer email.
Save the attachment and import it into a folder in IPhoto.
Photos in iPhoto can be used as wallpaper or with contacts AFTER you Sync your iPhone.
I made a special foolder in iPhoto just for this purpose so it would not be necessary to sync ALL the photos, only a single folder with what I want.

  • Why do my photos move around when I save an image from email so difficult to locate the new saved image

    My photos move around randomly after I save an image from email can't locate picture easily with 1000 photos on iPad please help

    I believe the default is for them to order themselves in 'date taken' order. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to change that. It's the default in the photos app and users can't change it. You can try looking for a third party photo app that may have more functionality. Afraid I can't recommend any since I've never looked for them but I'm sure someone can.

  • How to save image from email to iPhoto

    trying to save image attachment from email to iPhoto

    What is the problem? What does not work?
    Either drag the attachment from the mail to the iPhoto con in the Dock, or ctrl-click the attachment and use the option "Export to iPhoto" from the pop-up menu (in Mail in MacOS X 10.10). Don't remember, if this worked in Mail in Mac OS X (10.5.8), as your signature is showing.

  • Saving images from email

    I am working for someone and I have an image to save from his email act. (.mac), it will save in any format I choose but it saves only as a quick time ap. and will not let me open in photoshop, any clues? I can not drag and drop into photoshop. When I drag onto desktop, it only shows the HTML code help please!

    I have an image to save from his email act. (.mac),
    it will save in any format I choose but it saves only
    as a quick time ap.
    I wasn't aware it is possible to save an attachment included with a Mail.app message in any format but I guess you can change the file name and/or extension for the file when using Save As via the received message but I'm not sure why you would want or need to do so.
    Is this in reference to the OS X Mail application and if so, which OS X and Mail.app version are you running?

  • Can't save images from email

    When I get an email with an image in it, if I click on the image, all of these options are greyed out: Quick Look, Save Image, Assign to Contact, Copy and Print. How do I fix that? I want to save images to my camera roll that people send me.

    I can send if I use:
    // Create your new message part
    BodyPart messageBodyPart = new MimeBodyPart();
    String htmlText = "<H1>Hello</H1>" +
    "<img src=\"cid:memememe\">";
    messageBodyPart.setContent(htmlText, "text/html");
    // Create a related multi-part to combine the parts
    MimeMultipart multipart = new MimeMultipart("related");
    multipart.addBodyPart(messageBodyPart);
    // Create part for the image
    messageBodyPart = new MimeBodyPart();
    // Fetch the image and associate to part
    DataSource fds = new FileDataSource(file);
    messageBodyPart.setDataHandler(new DataHandler(fds));
    messageBodyPart.setHeader("Content-ID","<memememe>");
    // Add part to multi-part
    multipart.addBodyPart(messageBodyPart);
    but if I try to read message (html and image inside it) sended from Outlook? i can't find images.
    messageBodyPart.getHeader("Content-ID");
    returned null.

  • Where does image from email go when downloaded to iPhoto

    I'm fairlly new to iMac and still can't figure out what happens to my photo files and how Apple sorts them.
    Where does the image I download from an email go in iphoto?  I can see it in "last downloaded" but cant find it anywhere else.   What happens the next time I download an image.  How do I find the previous image?
    I looked in Events, but cannot find my last downloaded image.

    To show an iPhoto image file stored on the disk it is easier and safer to use iPhoto's "Reveal in Finder" command than browsing the "Masters" folder inside the iPhoto library package. Just select the thumbnail of your photo in iPhoto's Browser ("Last Import") and use the command "File > Reveal in Finder > Original/Modified File".

  • Saving images from email to photo roll in ios7

    Ipad 3..... Since upgrading to iOS 7 I am unable to save emailed images to my camera roll....using either forward arrow to save images or holding my finger on image and holding on save images produces the same result...nothing....I have done a reboot.....sync.....restart etc. with no changes.  Sorry it this question has been answered elsewhere.

    Try Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings. That will take the iPad back to all of the factory defaults in the settings. You will not lose any data or media. You will have to re-enter all of the device settings and preferences again and that will take some time to do.

  • Trouble saving images from email 'no permission'

    I'm trying to save some images I've been sent  on email but a message comes up saying that I can't save them as I haven't got permission. I'm not sure why this has started to happen or how to rectify it.

    Nope, unfortunately you can't.
    I guess it was because you can just go on any computer and save them there.

  • Album keeps saving images from emails, such as corporate logos and empty images

    For some odd reason my Sony Xperia Z2 adds images to my Album which I have not taken nor asked to save myself. These include images attached to emails - typcially corporate logos, but also seems to add blank images (which show as a logo of what looks like a mountain image used on cameras to show "landscape"). I therefore regularly have to go in and delete all these extra images which load up quite quickly....somewhat annoying.
    Is there a setting I have missed somewhere?

    I am facing same issue in my Xperia Z . All my fb stickers and walkman album art just shows up after somedays.. and then i have to individualy delete around 700-800 photos  creates too much trouble.
    Did clearing cache helped?
    What to do about it?

  • Howto remove gif, jpeg (images) from e-mails?

    Hi Gurus.
    Please help, I want to remove gifs and other images from emails and deliver the rest of content to the user mailbox.
    Many thanks
    BR

    Hi,
    Look at the conversion channel in the Messaging Server Administration Guide. This allows you to replace the MIME contents of messages e.g. replace/remove a gif or other images that you specify.

    Shane.

    what to do. i tries taking new picture and sending it in an email... same thing... gets "stuck "
    Waht to do ?

    Hello lohmann8,
    Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing with emailing photos from the Camera Roll.
    The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.
    You can find the full article here:
    iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the Photos and Camera app, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
    Restarting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
    Resetting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    You can find the full article here:
    iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    If the issue persists, the last thing I recommend is backing up and restoring your iPhone:

  • How can I email Facebook images from Firefox?

    As a computer support person, I've switched many people from other browsers to Firefox, often touting that the Firefox interface is most similar to Internet Explorer than the other choices. This client's issue stumped me, however, and I haven't been able to come up with a solution for her. Rather than exploring other browsers, this is my last-ditch effort to come up with a Firefox solution.
    In Internet Explorer browsing Facebook, people can right-click on an image and email the picture to someone (family, friends, etc.). I can find no way to duplicate this functionality in Firefox. I go to other websites (tested this on Yahoo!'s main page) and I can right-click in Firefox and email the picture. In Facebook, no dice. (This may be more a Facebook issue, but I want to check with you folks first.)
    I can't find an Add-on that will do it. This seems strange, because apparently a lot of people like to have this ability. Any ideas or suggestions? DMS

    Adding 2 Suggestions to above reply:
    * Right click on the image and ''copy image location''. Then use '''''insert>image''''' to embed as remote content
    * Right click and '''''copy image'''''. Then paste into the e-mail.
    Make sure that you have the correct ''default e-mail service'' selected.

  • How can I keep pictures images from  opening up in the body of an email

    Every time I attach a pic in mac mail, it opens in the body of the email.  I never had this issue with Outlook.
    I typically attach several pics at a time, the email becomes very messy.  Any suggestions on how to keep it from opening.
    I am using jpeg images.
    Plantguy1

    It depends.
    When you copy an image from a website in Firefox (right-click > Copy Image), Firefox stores the HTML code that website is using to display the image. Then when you paste into Yahoo mail, Yahoo uses that code to display the image in your message, by linking out to the source site.
    However, if you copy the image from a source other than a web page, Yahoo mail (webmail interface) can't use this technique and although it sometimes seems to show the image in the post, when I send, I just get a strange "inline image" notation in its place.
    If you access your Yahoo mail on a device in a dedicated mail client, then you usually would have more options because the mail program will encode the image into the message.

  • I'm no longer able to copy photos from email to my iPad photo stream.  The Save menu doesn't come up like it did before.  When I press on the image, I only get the option to Copy, and I can't paste it into my photo stream.

    II'm no longer able to copy photos from email to iPa stream.  The Save menu does not come up Shen I press on the image like it did before.

    Hi beerexpert,
    I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your iPad. If you are having unusual menu or option behaviour, you may want to try restarting/resetting your device, as outlined below:
    Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    You may also want to double-check that you have available space, as noted here:

  • How can I manually attach images from my photo booth (imported into iPhoto) to emails? Auto function, in photo booth has my photos lying sideways?

    How can I manually attach images from my photo booth to iCloud emails?
    They are imported as 'events' into my iphoto library.
    Auto function, in photo booth has my photos lying sideways when placed in 'mail' emails?

    There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:   You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    (Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
    You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.  If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
    If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
    If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
    For users of 10.6 and later:  You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation  which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
    Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
    For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    Show File:  a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier:  Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.    3.b.
    b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
